Gerrintaethem! Mon the Hoops!
-
Boruc
Telfer McManus Balde Camara
Maloney Lennon Petrov Nakamura
Sutton Hartson
-
Strachan indicates that hartson is in the team because of the conditions. He's predicting a 'cup tie' approach.
-
Freeland as Ref, not good he is very much a nit picker, never done us any favours..............
-
Agathe on the bench
-
OG by Sutton from good corner by Robson. Game on.
-
1 0 to Utd, sutton own goal
-
sutton og. 0-1. He took it well.
-
Terrible defensive header by Sutton, similar to his goal against Blackburn.
-
We can forget about any pace up front today.
-
Hartsons first touch so far has been awful, lets hope for better soon
-
Some good movement ends with Maloney running at the defence and brought down, should have been a penalty
-
maloney denied a clear penalty. going by the tv replay, the ref had a clear view of it.
-
What did the two clowns on setanta say about the penalty?
-
scottybhoy, hately reckoned it was a peno.
-
No clear cut chances yet, but Nakamura and Maloney have been getting on the ball.
Two Petrov shots have gone well over.
-
both said it looked a good claim
-
both said it looked a good claim
-
must have been a stonewall penalty then
-
sutton heads just wide from a maloney corner.
-
sutton missed great chance from corner
-
BBJ hits his 99th for the hoops. 1-1.
-
1 1 hartson
-
Lovely goal by Hartson after superb dummy by Sutton.
I like the way that Nakamura nad Maloney are getting on the ball and using it. Augurs well for the rest of the game.
-
Did I also mention that you don't just need pace up front with a small pitch.ehm.
-
maloney super shot
-
DUtd defender puts two hands on McManus' jersey and pulls him down in the boxfor a corner. Hately: "6 of one and half a dozen of the other."
McManus gets booked 60 seconds later for a badly timed tackle.

-
Equaliser came after Petrov had won the ball excellently in the middle of the park.
-
'Celtic, Celtic thats the team for me' being sung. Nice to hear it again.
-
1 2 to the tic, sutton
-
sutton deflects a maloney shot to the net after excellent work by the wee man. 2-1.
-
Great Goal from Celtic. Maloney shot was turned in by Sutton, who is now forgiven.
-
2-2. Jock Brown is in ecstasy.
-
2 2 goal by Sammuel indivual effort
-
Dundee United scored, 2 - 2.
Samuel turned McManus and shot through Boruc arms and then legs.
-
2 3 to thr tic sutton again what a game
-
the ping pong continues. sutton nets again from a corner. 3-2.
-
32mins Celtic have scored,
Dundee U 2 - 3 Celtic
Own goal from a corner.
-
OG by Archibald, Suttin didn't touch it. More goals to come! :-)
-
lets keep sutton out of our box. wherever he goes today OGs seem to follow him.
-
Can i ask browns reaction to united scoring in comparison to celtic just in case my imagination is gatting carried away with its self.
-
great work by maloney and sutton on the left wing sees sutton putting in a dangerous cross which DUtd keeper reaches inches before BBJ.
-
Lovely play down the left by Maloney and Camara, and then Maloney and Sutton. Bit worrying i we're thinking of buying Wilson.
Real quality evident in the team today, good to see on a tight pitch.
PS Brown ecstatic on Celtic's goals! ;-)
-
Brown's greeting for Celtic's goals seemed a few octaves lower to me scottybhoy, but I might be a bit biased :-)
-
Who says men can't fake.
-
holy f**k. sutton fouled in the box, pulled back by Kenneth. should have been a penalty and a red card. turns out it's neither.
-
43 ins. Sutton was clean throught with the goalie to beat and was pulled down from behind, no foul given.
Should have been a red card.
-
leath am. 3-2.
-
Half time. Dundee United 2 – 3 Celtic.
Some excellent football from Celtic, very similar to the performance against Motherwell.
Camara, Maloney, Petrov and Nakamura are playing VERY fast football. Hartson has been a bit slow getting onto the end of a couple of crosses.
Two bad mistakes from Sutton and Boruc cost the United goals.
-
What's the story with the ref?? Is he freakin' blind?????
-
Wish you were here?
Tannadice is bouncing right now.
-
A couple of points on the penalty decisions:
The Sutton foul was outside the box.
The Maloney claim was not strong, I thought he made the most of the contact, but:
McManus was penalised inside the United box when Robson pulled him to the ground. McManus never touched Robson at all.
-
Excellent first half performance from the bhoys. Midfield excellent with Maloney and Nakumura being very creative and Petrov working hard. Sutton and Hartson linking well, best I've seen Hartson fitting into the 'Celtic way'.
Defence OK, first goal conceded was one of those things, for the second McManus (?) was too close to Samuel and allowed himself to be turned. Dundee Utd attacks though are a rare thing as we're so on top.
Quite a contrast to our last Tannadice game when Utd had alot of possession and it took brilliance from Bellamy to win the game. Today is a flowing, dominant team performance.
-
Wish you were here?
Tannadice is bouncing right now.
-
2 clear penalties! celtic playing well coming forward. just need to tighten up at the back a wee bit and our fourth will come.
wee shaun's playing well. so's sutty. he's well up for it now.
Emjay
-
Just watched the second Dundee United goal again, it was a terrible mistake by Boruc.
-
with regards to the half time debate (radio scotland) on wether the united corner was travelling towards the goal or not... Does anyone remember a cross by chris Morris(against rangers at celtic park around 1990) which ended up in the net only to be ajudjed to have gone out of play first? Which was acvcording to the laws of physics impossible.
As you can see that incident still annoys me.
-
Worst refereeing display since Dougal against Rangers. 3 stonewall
penalties turned down and its only half-time...
-
Exciting game with goals and fast flowing football again..the wee pitch is not inhibiting our play too much..
Nakamura...he is working hard as ever, great passing and he can take the knocks..
I am happy...continued the pace from Wed night....
But must say.... great turn and finish by Samuel.
The ref? An enigma...But even with him I think we will run away with this.....6-2

teams out
-
More goals to come !!
-
southampton celt
I'm with you on that one. I was standing in the jungle that day, right at the corners flag. According to the ref and linesman, Chris hit a cross which travelled in an amazing, S-shaped trajectory, something the best Brazilians can't do!
Still annoys me after all these years as well - it was the Hun's first win at CP in about 10 years.
-
samuel by the post
-
prediction for full time score anyone?
Celts to win 7-4 as I cant remember this scoreline ever
-
Early Utd pressure this half, two free kicks in dangerous positions one of which was very poorly defended with Samuel volleying just past.
-
hartson in trouble with his groin!!!Beattie warmimg up
-
FirsbyHoop
glad someone else remembers it. was in the jungle too that day
-
60 mins. Second half has been a lot tighter than the first with no real chances. We are not as fluid in the middle of the park.
-
I'm listening on the internet is there anyone out there who needs updates or is everyone off to watch it in glorious technicolour???????
-
Very quiet start to the second half by Celtic. Midfield much tighter so movement isn't working yet. Hartson been caught offside a couple of times.
-
But Maloney having a great game. He, Petrov and Nakamura are must-starts.
-
Yes some need updates, cheers.
-
Hartson really unlucky - off the line
-
hartson heads straight at keeper from naka free kick
-
very very tight no room at all in midfield
-
expecting the manager to make a couple of changes. 21 mins to go and we've gone a bit flat.
-
Naka shirks from too many tackles. I think McGeady should come on for him, the games tighter this half, Petroc is not allowed any space.
-
This the type of situation strachan must win if he is to be a successful celtic manager.
-
Stuttering performance this half. If anything Utd look the most likely to score. Beattie about to come on (for Hartson?). Need a change in style too and be a bit more direct.
-
74 mins, could really do witht he fourth goal to secure things.
There are no chances at either end.
Beattie is about to come on, presumably for Hartson.
-
beattie on for bbj
-
hartson looking very tired. beattie coming on for him.
-
beattie races onto a through ball, sees the headlines and shoots from a difficult angle when petrov better positioned. petrov gives him a mouthful.
-
Petrov rightly furious with Beattie - should have been a pass and tap in
-
beattie has added great pace to the attack. we're looking dangerous on the attack for the first time in the second half.
-
tense last 10 mins coming up, should have had the game wrapped up by now
-
good play from the celts on the break
-
beattie off with hamstring injury. pearson (!) on for him.
-
Game opening up more now. Good balls by Nakamura putting Beattie through twice.
His pace causing problems though he needs more composure.
Beatiie appears to have a hamstring problem and is going off with Pearson coming on. Hope its not too serious.
-
beatie injured and boruc nearly messed up clearance
-
82 ins. Beattie off with a hamstring injury, Pearson on.
-
pearson looking lively.
-
added time anyone?
-
I'm watching the game on here but I'd put a bet on about 5mins again
-
pearson taps in at the back post. phew. 4-2.
-
2 4 paerson league leaders
-
goallllllllllllllllllllllllll
-
Goad for Celtic, Stephen P{earson at the back post.
Top of the league then.
Couple of minutes left.
-
Great ball by Maloney for Pearson's goal. Maloney or Nakamura man of the match?
Top of the league!!!!
-
Where we belong...Top of the league. Well done Celtic
-
Make that 2mins now
-
Great to hear the fans singing at the end
Tell all the Huns you know
That we're top of the league
and you're no!
-
Bird Flu has been reported in Glasgow 50,000 huns reported as being sick as parrots at 4.50pm on Saturday 29th October.
-
Full Time
Dundee United 2 - 4 Celtic.
Top of the league for the first time this season.
-
Isn't life just great...Ya beuty....get me a can hen!
-
Good result. Delighted to be back at the top. Absolutely disgusted by Beattie. Disgusted.
There is only one Chris Sutton!!

How bad were the injuries today ?
-
Bit harsh on Beattie GM, he'll be a big player for us I've no doubt about that.
Who'd have thought after Fir Park and then Ibrox that, by the end of October, we'd be top of the league 10 points clear of Rangers and playing some of the most fluent football we've played in years. Well done WGS and the team,
-
GM, a bit harsh mate. He should have passed but we won so who cares!!
-
GM, why are you disgusted with Beattie?
-
Hey GM
you say Absolutely disgusted by Beattie. Disgusted.
This seems a bit harsh why do you say this?
-
So not 6-2 as I predicted but...It will do me!
Hope Beattie, Hartson, and Maloney are all OK!
Still very happy with the way the team is performing...
Very happy for Pearson...

-
Maloney's injury isn't serious 'just tired' he said; ie cramp.
Oh happy days.
-
Loved the way Pearson looked as if he was "with the programme". Slotted in with ease to the system. Looks as if GS has got a philosophy going throughout the squad, not just the automatic choices.
-
GM-
I,m getting the impression that Beattie has disgusted you....
:P
noel.
-
During the 5 minutes he was on he had TWO opportunites to play in his team mates for certain goals to kill the game.
He instead elected take it himself and squander the chances.
SELFISH in the extreme, which on another day will cost us points.
-
