Is Petrov available today, I thought he was injured!
-
100th post on previous thread!
Today i would play as follows:
Boruc
Telfer Virgo Mcmanus Camara
Keane
Nakamura Petrov Maloney
Hatrson Zurawski
Keane would fill the holding role and Lennon on the bench.
Although i doubt WGS listens to me.
-
big up to whitedoghunch !
Celtic-4 Kilmarnock -0
noel.
-
I would drop everyone that played against Clyde, sack Strachan, burn the team bus, throw away my season book and scarf, sell the ground, and start again providing dinners for kids with rickets, then I’ll be happy.
-
Jong, I would go with that, with Marshall, Pearson, Lawson, McGeady,Wallace and McGlinchey,Thompson as subs.
A rest for Lennon today methinks.
-
Here's to exciting attractive football. Full pelt at Killie from the off, style and panache. I want nice football Naka to spray passes all over the field, I've a feeling he will score from a free kick, its due.
Hail Hail
Celtic ? Killie to lose
-
Forgot to say......we will of course lose our early first 15 minute goal, it's only fair, we do seem to have this habit of gifting the lead, so we can fight harder.
-
Morning NOEL;
A late one last night?
Is Petrov available, and does WGS drop Lennon?
-
Boruc
Telfer Virgo McManus Camara
Naka Petrov Keane McGeady
Zurawski Maloney
I would leave BBJ out today. He has to get his head together, and WGS has to show the players that if they're not performing they won't play.
Mind you if he was to do that from last week there would be 11 changes :)
-
Team for today
Boruc
Anyone from the crowd
Virgo
McManus
Anyone from the crowd
Keane
Petrov
Naka
Maloney
Hartson
Zurawski
Easy 5-0

Celtic 2 Killie 0

p8ddy - welcome back - didn't recognize you when I scrolled down.
off to the boozer for some pre-match nerve settling....
I think the first post thing is OK - would think it was great if I got first - 1000th is nothing once you've (accidently) done it - 1st is the big one.
Or 60,000th..
Noel - you can't possibly be 13 or 53 / 63 / 73/ 83 - so its either 23 / 33 or 43 - as I am 43 and you talk like someone older than 23 I am going to guess 33??
TB
-
Timoot;
Watch the difference Magic makes today.
His presence will change the shape of our playand his runs will free up Maloney to make surging runs at the Killie defence, end result BBJ to score from the space provided.
As a matter of interest my friends and i have a Killie season ticket holder with us today. So if you see the Polis called into the main stand just across and down a couple off rows from the press area you'll know i won't be posting tonight, as London road nick aren't logged in to CQN!!!!!
-
Caltontongues;
I always carry my boots just in case!
I am available for the R/B slot.
NOEL...bring your boots,you're at L/B.

3-1 hoops, with Killie scoring first as seems to be as traditional as the huddle these days.

Paul and lhads,
Can anyone tell me what happened to the press conference link it has disappeared?
Anyone able to post it for me?
Cheers

As we are a work in progress as often stated, why dont we look at the utilization of Scooby. Right back anyone he appears to be mobile enough, he appears to have good passing abilities, he appears to able to run with the ball. He could fit the bill if it comes off then again he could be mince but as Lord Dell of Peckam says he who dares Gordy he who dares.
boruc
scooby
virgo
macmanus
camara
keane
petrov
maloney
nakamura
zura
hartson
Just a wee thought.

I'm hoping for a return to the sort of football we played against M'well that Wednesday at CP. They had me believing we were playing like champs elect. The hearts game had me believing they have heart and are willing to fight and had a fitness level that might come into play more over the winter months. Last week had me believing... well least said and all that.
Well good luck to the team and good luck to Roy - he is in an enviable position for a player - Man U and then Celtic? That lucky dog!
And a big good luck to all us we deserve a lift.
Hail Hail
-
p8ddy, I would like to welcome you back. I got mad at you a few days ago because your issues were taking the blog off focus...Celtic.
Appologies if my words were a bit harsh.
After all, we're all family.
Hail, hail
-
Never posted on a Saturday before, ooh, I feel all tingly.
Welcome back P8ddy.
I believe there's a landmark post approaching, it must be right about, emmmmmmmmm NOW!
Celtic 5 Killie 3
(Kille 3 up at half time)
-
Posted this last night but on the wrong blog.Eejit!!(sp).
This team has absolutely nae chance of getting picked to-day,but it would be my side.
Boruc
Agathe Virgo Keane McManus
Lennon
McGeady Petrov Maloney
Naka
Majic
Keane at the back temporarily for his experience,Lennon between the back four and the mid-field.This allows us to be flexible to suit. When we are attacking Stan moves forward,Lennon moves into the hole, pace and creativity down the flanks with Aiden and Shaun.Free role for Naka to open up their defence and Majic pulling them all over the shop, creating holes everywhere.Their defence wouldn't know who to mark.
To take a leaf from Kojo's book,
Celtic 89 Kilmarknock 0.
P8ddy good to have you back, glad you and Paul could sort it out like gentlemen.yours john-b.

Watching Strachan's press conference on Ch 67. Really entertaining stuff.....
Wish we would get back to the old Celtic way of getting stuck in right from the start today.
Three points, good upbeat performance, shut out.....I'm not asking for much...:)
Enjoy the game folks, wherever you are.
-
My dear friend, JohnG,
I have read your request for an explanation, regarding the SEEMING CLASH of SENTIMENTS ....Mine being diametrically opposed, to the one upheld by the Li'l ADMIRAL,in the PETROV matter.
The difference lies in THE REPORTING.....mainly.......OF the Manager's words concerning his feelings in the matter.
I myself have Heard the Li'l Admiral, give his honest(?) opinion of Petrov's worth to the Team.....and if I may add...... He CONTRIVES to create a VERY GLOWING AND UPBEAT SYNOPSIS of Petrov's soccer ability and his future SOCCER POSTAL ADDRESS!
However!......... You JUST KNEW it was Coming? AND... I shall Not DISAPPOINT!
In a few of my last submissions to this sainted island of celtica....
I have tried in my own inimitable way.... to EXPLAIN the Thrusts and PARRIES of the NEGO GAME!
This time I shall be ....BLUNT!
Lies, LIES, and DARN FIBS, are part and parcel of the PREAMBLE, to EVERY SERIOUS Negotiating PROCEDURE!
I am absolutely Isolated from any intention to Denigrate the SOCCER PROWESS of MR.PETROV.
I have give my honest opinion on his worth to the TEAM, many times... in previous submissions to this blog.
I think I am safe in Declaring....
I say that Mr. PETROV is a VERY INCONSISTENT COG in the CELTIC MACHINE....His ability GOES from SPARKLING Champange....to....the cloying taste of VANTAS!
One never knows Which STILLIAN is going to be delivered to the CELTIC LIQUOR CABINET, on ANY GIVEN DAY!
This Topsy turvy form....... marks him as a very DISPENSABLE ITEM in my Wine Cellar!
Celtic WILL SELL ...... IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT........MAKE NO MISTAKE about that!
Meanwhile, back at the RANCH......
THE MANAGER MUST TOUT MR.Petrov's ability.....
IT IS A NO- BRAINER!!
That's the GAME AS IT IS PLAYED!
A SALESMAN IS THE VERY LAST PERSON, that one would expect.....
PURE UNADULTERATED TRUTH TO EMANATE FROM(A Preposition must never be used to finish a Sentence, with..Ed.)
HMMMMMMMM!!
Wait until a more commendable Team, comes knocking on the PARKHEAD GATE!
If the PRICE IS RIGHT.......Stan will be on the NEXT FLIGHT......
EUROPA ANYONE??
Bottom line........
The Manager and YOURS TRULY are in COMPLETE LOCKSTEP IN THIS ONE!!!
And you can....well you know the destination!!!!!!!!!
Celtic 3 kilmarnock0
Hail! Hail!
Kojo.

Kojo,
I think we as fans, tend to overeact to any suggestion that players don't love the club like we do, or that they wouldn't play for Celtic for nothing.
Over the past few months you have forced us to think about the cold reality - if he doesn't sign, he'll be sold. Now that this looks like it might happen, to some fans at least, it isn't a shock, as you have made us think this one through in advance.
The only criticism I'd offer is that you tainted your argument a wee bit by suggesting he was a 'journeyman'. That aside, I think that the fact that you punted this argument and caused us to think it through - this is one of the aspects that puts CQN on a different plane from other fora.
I actually think that Celtic have approached this one in the right way. 18 months out, force the issue.....now Strachan has the next 6 months to scout a replacement.....give Stan one last shot at a deal.....then get business done in early July.....either way, it's better than the old way of doing business.
-
According to Radio Scotland, Keane will play in defence today. Still waiting on the full team news
-
Wallace at left back.
Telfer at right back.
Kojo, someone isn't listening to you at Celtic Park.
The Wallace experiment continues....
-
My dear friend, Weeron,
Thankyou for you gracious .....and I must say welcome contribution to the Great PETROV CONTROVERSY.
I find that you and I agree on most of the SALIENT POINTS.......
The only divergence that I note in our mutual opinions, appears to be the Time FACTOR.......
I have mentioned this in the past.....
I am not One Hundred Per cent certain in this matter........Fargo brought it up to us, rather early in the Petrov matter........
But I am TOLD....... That Petrov can TALK, but not act..... with interested Parties, during the last Year of his contract.......
(There again this projection is open to discussion.....as I am quite uncertain of the above LOOPHOLE...... Opinions requested , by the COGNOSCENTI?
This would set CELTIC UP ...for the USUAL LOSS of A TRANSFER FEE.
I am certain that MONSIEUR PIERRE is not to be TRIFLED WITH...in this CUSTOMARY LET DOWN!
No! Sirree, ROBERT!
The nonsense that is being inserted into the MOUTH OF THE MANAGER, by RORY....WHO ELSE?..
REGARDING CELTIC'S or the MANAGER'S WILLINGNESS to allow PETROV'S WORTH to REDUCTIO AD ABSURDUM...IS .........
WELL.......ABSURD!
Bottom line....as always....
If Petrov accepts the PARSIMONIOUS(in his mind) NEW TERMS OFFERED........ then by all means retain his services..
If the contrary occurs and he reneges....... SELL HIM AND QUICKLY!!
Celtic3 kilmarnock0
Hail! Hail!

Keane and McManus in central defence.
Nakamura and Maloney on either side with Stan and Lennon through the middle.
Magic's back to partner BBJ.
Good team (i think)
-
Westim,
Good 9.
The full back positions have been accidents waiting to happen. The ACCIDENT happened last week.
I don't understand why he is persisting with it.
-
It's pretty much the best team be could have put out at the moment. I'm a bit worried about the lack of strength in our defence. Do Killie have any big strikers? If so we might be in for a long day.
I miss BB :(
Excellent having Magic back. Let's score more than them :D
-
Lack of cover?
No idea what is happening with Camara and think it's a shame he was dropped when he was looking to be coming good - probably personal issues.
Agathe is never getting near the first team with his lack of effort and poor attitude.
Virgo could cover for right back but I don't think that's our main problem area.
-
mornin bhoys and ghirls
WGS perservering with Wallace at LB - is he the only one who cannot see this is not working? Didn't catch the rest of the side.
-
Team is
Boruc
Telfer
Keane

Wallace
Nakamura
Petrov
Lennon
Maloney
Zurawski
Hartston
Subs:
Marshall
Virgo

-
Celtic: Boruc, Telfer, Keane, McManus, Wallace, Lennon, Petrov, Nakamura, Maloney, Zurawski, Hartson. Replacements: Marshall, Virgo, Lawson, Thompson, Pearson, McGeady.
-
C67 coming through loud and clear here in Minneapolis
-
I interpret Gordon Strachan's comments re Petrov as simply saying to the bidders out there that he can go but if he's going it will be at our price so no more silly bids please.
-
My dear friend, U2...
You are correct.....but remember...... those Predos that I reported.....
Were not stricly from I.....
They were selections averaged out from 8 Guys, opinions.
My selection, was that WALLACE SHOULD BE NO LONGER AT LB.
Collie claims a win.....
Keano at CB.......
I cannot remember....... But I think he did Predo that.
Anyway....
The Game is starting.........
Celtic3 kilmarnock0
Hail! Hail!
Kojo
-
Game on........
"Keano Keano"
-
NAKA!
-
Naka to score from the free kick
-
Naka!!!
-
free kick just on the right of the D for Celtic.
Naka looking to take.
-
GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Told you
-
Perfect start for putting that pish from last week behind them. Celtic look up for it.
-
Huge game today for the club.
I have nightmares over a 79/80 style slide where everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Sorry but this is my pessimistic side coming through, therefore I hope I have got it wrong.
However I think that WGS has shown his "conservative" side regarding team selection, he should have been braver and made more changes:
PT - Last legs surely
RW - Best shot but by all accounts struggling.
SM - Needs to be rested
NL - One for the road
BBJ - Totally focused?
Consequently half the outfield team have question marks against them and having RK in at CB looks like a stop-gap action. Who will deal with things in the air? SM jumps 6" less than his height at the best of times.
With this in mind I hope that SP delivers another hat trick with a view to giving a quality "GIRUY" to kojo in the best possible "asset management" style.
Her's hoping.
-
Naka 1-0 brilliant free kick after 2 and half minutes
-
Any news on why we are only listing 6 subs?
From memory SPL rules mean that we can put seven on the bench?
Any ideas?
Late fitness issue?
Someone taking a huff?
-
Horrendous mistake by Gary Caldwell makes it Hibs 0, Aberdeen 1
-
Oh! MOTHBALLS!!
Chan 67 BUFFERING IS BAAAAAACKKKK!
BIG TIME!
VERY VERY IRRITATING!
Cannot not experience any continuity........
Missed the GOAL! What ELSE IS NEW!
The GUYS ARE FURIOUS>>>>>>>>>>
-
Good pressing by the team, smooth passing play, huge pressure on Killie who seem to be "lost" in the onslaught.
-
Gordon Smith was quite upset about an Irish flag as the background for Keane saying I can't remember seeing Nakamura having a Japanese flag when he signed!
The hate from this man is so obvious - what does he have against the Irish?
I can distinctly remember plenty of headbands, caps and flags being sold when Naka joined...
-
Hibs 0 Aberdeen 2 Reckon we should have Caldwell by the end of the month
-
After a poor backpass from Zura his countryman has to make a fantastic save to preserve the lead
-
Hibs nil Sheep 2
-
2-0
-
Good creative play from Celtic down the left.
-
Penalty!!!
Shaun to take it?
-
Played in from the left by maloney to petrov who is brought down just inside the box. Penalty.
-
GOALLLLLLLLLLL
-
Goal
-
Smith was seething at the Irish tricolour. This man is a bigot. No mistake.
Boruc great save to deny Nish.
Hibs 2-0 down to Dons
-
Sean Maloney sends keeper the wrong way, fires it high and to the right. 2-0. Outstanding stuff just now.
-
Penalty to Celtic Fowler reckless challenge on Petrov.
15 minutes Maloney 2-0 sends keeper wrong way high into top left hand corner
-
Fast break again down the left to Zura, but pushed out for a corner off the cross.
-
Killie are getting spanked today, we are playing with style, panache and purpose.
Hail Hail
-
This is a completely different side from last week. Celtic is playing with hungry and creativity, crisp, accurate passing. The Killie defense cannot keep up.
Case in point, brilliant through pass in the box to Zura but he is just offside.
-
Wallace is making great, flying overlapping runs on the left, but his first touch has been letting him down.
And he does have that little problem with crosses.
-
Killie keeper down to save from Zurawski as Celtic run riot
-
Penalty to Killie Keane
-
2-1
-
Penalty to Killie
-
reckless challenge by Keane - penalty - 2-1
-
Killie get penalty. Naysmith sends Boruc wrong way on 24 minutes
-
Celtic 2 Killie 1,
It won't matter
-
Killie keeper makes good save to block Hartson.
-
Hartson does well to chest down a long ball into the box, denied on his shot. corner.
-
Killie on the break but easily cut out by Celtic defense.
-
Oh dear! Why, oh why can we not defend?
Now for the nerves!
-
1-0 to Hearts
-
BBC comentator can't keep up with the speed of our passing. Bodes well for us.
-
Hoops take back control of the match after the penalty. But I am getting nervy that they will not get their finishing right and get the goals their play deserves.
Game has slowed just now after the roaring start.
-
Hearts 1-0 up against Dunfermline. Pressley.
-
Hearts one nil up
-
Some very close offside calls. Apparently no replay available for the game. Weak.
-
Stan is looking commanding today.
-
Casey
re you watching on 67? If so who gave away the penalty as BBC as still blaming McManus?
-
It looked like a very late timed tackle from Keane actually.
-
Aberdeen up 2-0 at Easter Road.
-
Half time 2-1 to Celtic but faded after a bright start. Defence starting to look nervy and Killie back in it.
-
We seem to have cooled very slightly, but still the dominant force.
-
Wallace getting treatment, unclear what happened.
-
looks like a head knock maybe
-
Rats, my flight is being called. Why are they never late when you want them to be? A few hours of nail-biting then. C'mon the Hoops!
Maloney has been a standout in the 1st half. The same performance in the 2nd half and we'll win comfortably.
-
Hearts 1-0 up at half time
-
Thats the end of the half. Great stuff, but better finishing could have had us up by 4.
-
HT Celtic 2-1 Kilmarnock
A big improvement on last weeks performance. The 3 key differences are Keane at the back, Maloney in midfield and Magic up front. Keane, apart from 2 rash tackles, one of which cost us a goal, looks assured when in possession and brings the other guys into the play. McManus looks more comfortable than in recent weeks due to Keane. Maloney is back to his best in midfield, making chances for others. Magic is giving us loads of movement up front and has played BBJ in a couple of times only to see the big man a couple of yards off the pace.
Naka is showing great touches. His free kick was sublime. Petrov and Lennon are doing what they do best in midfield. Lennon holding the middle and Petrov making good runs and supporting the attack.
Telfer is off the pace. Wallace is doing well going forward. Boruc mad one outstanding save and had no chance for the penalty.
All in all a solid performance but there are still many scary moments when Killie come forward and find far too much space around our box.
Wallace took a bad head knock just on half time, his second for the day. Would like to see him replaced at HT.
-
Casey
Clyde are also blaming McManus. My concern is that we once again are relying on set pieces to score although we are carving out chances.
-
I just got knocked off Ch67 for no apparent reason. Every week its something.
-
Yeah, well it might have been McM., I must admit I didnt get the best look.
You're right, this is not the team of old that was always a threat on set pieces. Seems like half our goals under MON came in the air. But if the likes of Zura and Hartson can be a little more clinical the goals should come because, as you say, the team is creating chances.
-
Chris Sutton started for Birmingham, great recovery from his injury however his team are one nil down at half time.
Good luck Chris, and thanks.
-
looks like C67 is down :(
-
I keep getting the "server may be busy" message when I try to get back into the Ch67 video feed. Anyone else.
Ah, well, might as well get up and go for a cuppa
-
c67 is back up
-
I'm going out.
Plaza is my first stop.....
Bull Puckey!
Chan67 server...too much trouble today....
Seeya guys later.......
Will stop by for the score.......
Too Annoyed to sit here!
Kojo.
-
Is anyone able to get on the offishal web-site? Seems as if the whole thing is down?
-
Thanks conneticut - back on-line
-
I'm back on as well.
Kojo - try RealPlayer instead of Windows Media Player (all my buffering problems have disappeared)
-
keep getting error message on the fishal site.
any body else still getting this?
-
Kano
I couldn't get the official site either but still had the C67 page available through my History links. Try that and C67 seems to be ok
-
Great play by BBJ played Naka in but a weak shot saved by keeper
-
Thanks mncelt,
seems to be working now
-
Brilliant play by Maloney, played Magic in, this time a great save
-
2-2
-
Bhoys have come out on fire. Great piece of skill by Naka again in midfield
-
ah feck. 2-2 against the run of play, cross into the box and wallace cannot defend in the air.
-
I had 3-2 down on predictor
-
2-2 This defence is a joke. Can Strachan not see it?
-
Oooooops. This isn't going to plan.
Celtic 2 Killie 2
All signs are positive though, we will win.
-
3-2 Hartson
-
3-2 hartson
-
great play by naka, feeds petrov who hesitates and his shot deflected for a corner.
-
goal scramble
CEltic Goal!!
-
BBC balls-up again. McManus is the scorer
Hearts 2-0 up
-
Correction Mc Manus
-
BBJ Goalllllll
Celtic 3 Killie 2
BBC say McManus
-
Celtic Goal 3-2 Hartson
-
Sh*t. First move upfield by killie and they score. Keane too casual on the ball, gave it away and a cross to the back post. Forward hardly had to jump to beat Wallace in the air - GET HIM AWAY FROM LB FFS!
Still all Celtic
Goal - McManus after a fumble from keeper. Just watched the replay - fair challenge by big Mick
-
looked like the goalie was close to controlling the ball as he lay on the ground but it was stabbed home by (i think) McManus
-
great great shot from maloney, just pushed out by goalie for another corner.
-
The interesting comparison is that Bobo is one of the best attacking centre backs when the ball is to be defended whilst McManus is not great in this area.
McManus is a much more capable centre back when the ball is in the oppositions' penalty box whilst Bobo is awful.
Well done McManus.
-
Mark Burchill pulls one back Dunfermline 1 Hearts 2
-
Dunfermline 1 Hearts 2
-
another shot closer in from shaun but balloons hit way over the bar. should have done better.
-
McM very late, again, on the tackle. I think he got a caution but didnt' actually see the card.
-
yellow
-
Ex-Rangers Thompson scores twice for Cardiff
-
very unlikely miscue from Boruc, just plain dropped a long arcing cross in the middle of the 6 yard box. keane cleans up. odd one.
-
Alomst a major error by Boruc. Dropped the ball on the goal-line and the forward missed timed the tap in. We need another goal to make this game safe.
-
Alomst a major error by Boruc. Dropped the ball on the goal-line and the forward miss timed the tap in. We need another goal to make this game safe.
-
Sounds a bit shacky at the back, come on lads, finish it off.
-
Zurawski 4-2
-
great movement of the ball around the killie half, Hartson ends up shooting in the box, decent save from Coombe
-
Well done linesman!
4-2
-
BBJ playing well 2nd half
-
MAGIC!! 4-2.
-
Goallllllll Zurawaski !!!!!
4 - 2 Yesssss!!!
-
Linesman gave it with Killie keeper protesting it didn't cross the line after coming off the bar.
But Boruc made a couple of bad blunders the defence is even getting to him
-
Goal 4-2 Magic after good work by Wallace
-
wallace drove down to the touch line, great cross right in front of goal that zurawski converts. coombe had knocked it back, but well after it had crossed the line. his whinging earns him a yellow.
-
more disarray in the celtic backline. i thought they looked decent enough in the first half but worrying that they seem to be looking more slack as the game wears on.
-
double switch for killie. 2 guys for another 2 guys that i cant be bothered to care about.
-
killie on the break after a giveaway by stan. boruc does well to come up and grab what could have been a dangerous cross. and he does it again, now celtic on the break.
-
Keane is distributing very well when he is on the ball, no surprise.
-
Killie are pushing on now - we must have more chances on the break
-
McGeady coming on
-
McGeady on for Zurawski
-
Hearts 4-1 Skacel
-
Zurawski off
-
McGeady striking through the middle with Hartson
-
Aiden on for Magic
-
Aiden playing up front with BBJ
-
The singing section have sang throughout the 90 minutes without getting the rest of the crowd behind them.
Shows hom many corporates and glory hunters are at Parkhead these days
-
Petrov looks tired - Lawson?
-
i thought the same thing about stan, he has given up the ball 3 times in a row i think. i'd give him a rest.
-
Maloney also tiring - he's been all over the place today
-
I am listening to radio clyde for the first time and even after reading this site so often, I can't believe how bad it is. I live abroad and so far I have discovered that Celtic are very lucky to be leading 4-2 but rangers are in the very promising position of being one win away from being within 1 piont of third place, if hibs lose today, unreal.
They are now talking about the chopper heading to tym
necastle on the last day of the season!!
-
killie look spent themselves,
-
Arsenal 7 M/borough 0
-
maloney should have first timed that one
-
mcgeady with a good run, not so good shot right at the keeper
-
Great move back to front there. Ended up with a blocked shot from Maloney.
Good run by McGeady from half way but a poor shot saved by keeper
-
sorry, tynecastle
-
Bhoys playing the ball around again with ease. Killie are finished
-
arsenal are an enigma, at times they play sublime rampant attacking football, at other times they play as if they couldnt be bothered
-
stan loses another easy ball, he has been outstanding overall, but his legs are just not there right now.
-
geez i didn't realize we were so close to the final whistle, 2 minutes added
-
4-2 final score to Celtic...
But oh that defence. We must do something about it or we will blow that 7 point lead.
Naka voted man of the match
-
Naka MOM in the stadium. Good call although Maloney was also outstanding
-
Big victory today particularly after looking shaky for a while and Hearts good result.
Time to count the games down!
-
BakuBhoy - True, I got tired of listening to their constant R***ers crap, stick to CQN.
Oh by the way Boyd is the new Hun saviour, yeah right.
p8ddy is back, did anyone ever believe he'd have the character to stick to his guns and stay away!
Ah well here comes the bolding.

notably, i think lenny had a strong match. kept the shape well and avoided any howlers. though has been my favorite Celt for some time, i frequently find myself pulling my hair out with some of his play. That being said, I think Lennon, Stan and Keane have to be on the park, which will always cause a headache in terms of formation. Keane can play great at centerback, notwithstanding a couple poor moments today, but his strength is midfield mastermind. does WGS dare fiddle with his efforts to develop a flying back 4-4-2. Its worth asking.

oregonbhoy,
I enjoy reading about the clyde rubbish on CQN so I thought I would pass the time listening to it while enjoying a game of poker.

Bounced back well...
Yes we need to tighten up...But...
The Magic's coming back. Shaun's in his best position, working his socks off and complimenting Ross Wallace. Nakamura? Well...What can you say....A delight to watch such class....
It is all Very Promising...Very promising....
The Future looking bright again...

Surely we can't blow a 20-point lead over Rangers?
But I'm not so sure about staying ahead of Hearts unless we tighten up.

Casey - Well said, I can't think of how WGS is going to resolve this one, Lennon and Keane in the same team just doesn't make sense, still that's what he gets the big bucks (and pelters)for.
BakuBhoy - "rubbish", my you are polite, hope you're raking in the pots at the cards.
Another good three points today, but some nervy moments too.

First ever post.
Just want to say thanks to all for the updates today.
Defenders neede badly by the sound of things.

Isn't it amazing the difference in our attacking play when Magic plays?
I think his workrate, movement and all round intellegance are too often overlooked in Scotland. Due to injury his total goals haul this season will be fortunate to reach 15, but I think his eventual total would vastly underplay his worth.
When Naka has a forward player with something like the intellengance that he possesses in front of him, his play improves immeasurably. Also dropping Maloney back to his rightful position gets the best out of him. I agree with may posters here that he plays too deep and is not sufficiently ruthless in his finishing to be a complete striker, but the role that he occupies best I think says a lot about him.
The mythical "hole" between the strikers and the midfield has been the habitat of some of the most inspirational geniuses and some of the most inconsistent practitioners of their trade. And the difference is attitude and application. The role itself forces neither the responsibility to contribute a striker's goal haul, nor the requirement to track back and graft upon the player. The poorer "hole" players are subsequently deficient in both respects, the good ones whilst maybe not scoring 20 a season, excell.
To put it more succinctly, you either have a Lubo or a Berkovic. I am pleased to say that Shaun is more of the former, and when Magic is fit, this is where he should stay.
That defence though! Gee whizz! It is a major concern when a team of third rate spoilers, minus their main goal threat over the last few seasons, can breach our rearguard twice. I hope that Paul is right about the centre half in the summer, but I fear we'll have to spend the lion's share of our budget to secure the class so badly required.
Happy with three points today, but worried about the defence.
