Hoops to win 3-1. Mon the Hoops!

Beckham for Celtic!
-
Anyone got any team news?
Setanta were suggesting that they 'understood' Pearson would start in the middle of the Park , with Maloney on the wing, and Miller on the bench.
-
Tontine Tim from the last thread. Sorry the question was who other than the Lions got Winners medals in 1967. I had thought it was Fallon but I read this morning he had not played a competitive game at all that season.
So i thought it was Hughes, Gallaghe and o'Neill or Kennedy
-
Bit of a shocker. Remember his delayed reaction fall v Tyson? Hilarious. This is anything but; the comment on his injuries is then followed by 'The police are treating it as murder' talk about stating the obvious.
ex-champ Berbick killed
Love BJ's volley from outside the box v wee huns in this one.
CELTIC !!
Killie 1 Celtic 2 Will do !!
Hail Hail

greenlion try here. Im watching the RV Ants feed, not too bad.
http://www.myp2p.eu/Matches/Match2.htm
-
although the streaming is not good on ch67 today the jokes are
1. "open a cupboard at celtic park these days and a japanese journalist falls out"
2. "hearts are a shambles behind the scenes and frankly, long may it continue"
-
CH67 working fine here
-
Celtic struggling to make the ball stick up front, still trying to settle into the game.
-
Giving away possesion too easy in the final 3rd. Jarosik can't seem to get going at all.
-
Killie playing well - we aren't at the races yet, unable to string a couple of passes together. We seem to be playing it long to front men - it's all coming straight back.
Naka loses control, Fernandez loses Gary on half way line, Lee sees it early & covers across
-
Pearson with a a slack pass as another attack falls apart.
-
Kilmarnock players look up for it...Fernandez in particular. ...But once we start playing football..Nae Problems!
CH67 IS GOOD FOR ME (SAFARI)
-
Good pace to the game...great tackle back by Lennon.
-
SDstim thanks and the commentary is better as well
-
17 mins
Neil is the only midfielder showing urgency when Killie have the ball
Magic getting bullied
-
Killie playing a pressing game and is working so far. Celtic can't get the wide men on the ball.
-
Maloney and Nakamura interchanging play now - Maloney shoots well over from distance.
-
ch67 working fine now but it wasnt earlier.
kilmarnock are jokers- one of their best teams in a long time and still so many empty seats
-
Stephen gets chance in inside right channel from long clearance - shoots wide under pressure- should have scored
-
Pearson misses a good chance with the first real chance of the game.
-
SDSTim im getting a lot of buffering are you. I ahve had to keep Radio cotland on as well to keep up to speed
-
Jarosik having a good couple of minutes - played in both Pearson and Magic for chances. Pearson should have scored
-
Jarosik links well with Zurawski who gets a decent effort in. Jarosik will need to build on that move.
-
24 mins
Nice combination wide left, Jiri plays Magic into to edge of box, keeper saves curler to far post.
That's two promising attacking moments in 3 mins
-
hi all am in uni and can not see the game first time on this how we getting on.
-
Game opening up somewhat with both teams looking to attack.
-
Our Catalytic Converters (aka Shaun & Naka) are starting to warm to the task
-
Nakamura in space - just couldn't pull it off.
Celtic now pressing and looking more dangerous.
-
Killie having a real go, good workout for our defence. Starting to create chances ourselves, decent game.
-
Brave save from Boruc from a quickly taken Killie free kick. A great goalkeeper
-
Brave save from Boruc from a quickly taken Killie free kick. A great goalkeeper
-
30 mins - we are not doing enough in possession against a tails up Killie team.
We are not giving any chances away either.
-
Seems to me that with Jiri & Magic, and Pearson on from the start...all that is missing is a little bit of understanding....Not one of our usual formations..All the same a good excercise in communication and confidence for the squad. Bhoys are begining to threaten more...final pass will come together soon.
-
Jarosik can't get into the game. Seems a it unfair to play him as a forward when there is no partnership there, would like to see him as an attacking midfielder.
-
First free kick off the game to killmarnock....saved Boruc
-
31 min....first free kick to celtc
-
cross into the box....keeper flaps...free kick kille
-
Killie offside, Celtic holding a good line
-
Truetim, fair comment, but he came onto a game after 25-35 minutes against Dundee Utd when he was played in the same slot.
-
head knock, McManus and Naismith
-
tch, who's singing 'cheer up paul le guen' in the background. :-(
-
Offside Zurawski, good ball Pearson
-
Invincible slices a JJ cross behind, Corner Celtic. 39' on the clock.
-
Greenlion2 save the site you will get EVERY game including CL
http://www.myp2p.eu/
Someone else previously posted it on here, pure gold.
Zura too quick for linesman there, never off.
-
The game is lacking any real spark. Killie's game plan going better than Celtic.
-
Lovely turn by the languid one - corner to us, comes to nothing.
-
Naysmith hits crossbar - good counter by Killie.
-
Steven Naismith hits the underside of the bar for Killie after a counter, Boruc gathers the rebound. That's the get out of jail card played, anyway.
-
Big Jiri's playing well....if we're going to score it'll come through him
-
Naismith hits the underside of the crossbar - he was very sharp there.
Celtic survive a real scare there and will be going in the rethink their approach.
-
Naismith's clever movement again causing problems.
-
Wright fouls Jiri, jumps to feet & screams at our man ... all to a soundtrack of 'Hello Hello'
Another good break by Killie, good interception by Mick
-
Gary a late tackle on Fernandez - looks like a bad one
-
Terrible tackle from Caldwell on Fernandez, Celtic will be looking forward to the break now. It's all a bit dis-jointed.
-
Caldwell lucky not to have broken Fernandez leg!
-
Caldwell clattered Fernandez, but hasn't been booked. Looks to me like he might have done his knee (take it from one who knows)
-
Slowmo confirms it looks like a bad one for Fernandez - shame for him.
-
the replay looks horrible. something broken or dislocated i think
-
Colin Nish on for Fernandez. 47'
-
dunno about broken or dislocated, but I'm having deja-vu of doing my Cruciate Ligament there.
-
half time at Rugby Park
Kilmarnock 0 Celtic 0
It's been end to end so far, with neither team looking like scoring, other than when Killie hit the bar 5 minutes from the break. Celtic haven't achieved much fluidity so far, Magic's not as effective as running off the shoulder as Miller, which is telling when he's deployed as a lone striker, with JJ just off him.
-
Half time: Kilmarnock 0-0 Celtic.
Celtic have rarely got into the game. Kilmarnock broke well on 41 mins with Naismith lobbing Boruc only for the ball to bounce off the bar.
Fernandez took a bad one from Caldwell, was carried off in a lot of pain.
-
Not a good show.
IMO shoud be red for Wright and yellow for Fernandez for a foul on Boruc.
-
HT crossbar assisted 0-0. We are not playing well, Killie look well organised & up for it.
Obviously with Aiden & Kenny on the bench we have alternatives.
Need to get Naka on the ball more.
-
Half time. Celtic lucky to have 11 men and a clean sheet. Pleanty to think about for GS.
Killie are one of the better teams we have came up against in the SPL recently. If we don't get the ball to Shaun and Naka in space we will continue to struggle.
Lets hope a few players raise their game for the second half.
Hope Fernanadez is ok, never nice to see that.
-
We are dismal. However, worst thing about the first half was Caldwell,s shocking tackle on David Fernandez. Sickening-we would have screamed for a red card if it had been on a Celtic player.
-
do we look like we are going to score.
-
sub standard first half performance,
Take Jiri off - Miller on
Take Pearson off - Sno on
Caldwell suffers from confidence issues, I think WGS will take him off and bring on Bobo
-
HT Killmarnock 0-0 Celtic
Killmarnock game plan is to work hard closing down every Celtic player when they get the ball and give us no time to create anything or to settle into any kind of rhythm. It has worked for 45 minutes but they will run out of steem second half.
Our line up today is not going to play the fast passing football that we saw in the second half against Benfica. This is more of a workmanlike performance but we do have enough out there to grind out a win.
Defence is looking very solid.
Lennon having a good game in the middle. Pearson should not be a starter - he adds a lot more value coming on late in games when we need his strong running and aggression. Maloney looks out of sorts but has made a couple of good passes forward. Naka is getting pushed around and is struggling.
Up front both Magic and Jari are losing too much possession when the ball is played up to them. Jari did realy well to play in Pearson for what was our only chace of the match. KM or Magic would have finished.
I think WGS will make some changes in the second half. We have a strong bench today even without Graveson and JVoH and should be able to vary our approach and create them some more problems.
Hope Fernandez is OK. It was a rash challenge by Caldwell.
-
As for a blog change Paul it must be even harder to get the time. Good to hear you comment that you had some good news from your legal eagle in your court case. Is it a private matter or will you be able to share it with us when you finally get to a conclusion? Wish you success of course, expensive business.
Beckham, hypothetically, would be a great signing on 25grand a week and 25% of his commercial rights for us, make us the biggest team in Asia for sure! 2 seasons then send him off to US with our name on his back, we will be banking dollars for years.
-
Get Jarosik on !
noel..
-
We are dismal. Worst thing about first half was Caldwells tackle on Fernandez. Sickening- worth a red. Wouldnt have wished it on Ned Novo- yes it was that bad.
-
halftime sub, McGeady on for Jarosik.
-
Aiden on
-
Aiden (POTY) McGeady on for Jarosik.
Good move.
-
McGeady on to mix things up, Jarosik makes way.
Jarosik won't be happy with not getting a midfield start. He can't get sharpness or form if Strachan continues to mis-manage him.
-
Zurawski misses a glorious chance from a superb cross. Should have been 1-0.
-
45 mins. Zurawski missed a header from 7 yards.
-
Magic had a great chance there, mistimes a header from 6 yards out, passed the far post.
-
Good cross from Naylor - Magic should havce done better from 6 yds out
-
Celtic with 1 up front, could be practicing for Wed night.
-
48 mins. Kilmarnock 1-0 Celtic.
-
1-0 to Killie. Nakamura clack in possesion and McManus fails to pick up runner - great finish.
-
49' Colin Nish one nil, Naka dispossedes in the middle from the back, and Celtic caught on the backfoot.
-
*slack
-
Naka caught in possession - Artue should have saved it
-
right underneath boruc
-
corner Celtic. come on, time to pull the finger out, Celtic.
-
Nakamura robbed inside the Kilmarnock half.
Lennon static as his man ran past him.
McManus never tracked the run of Nish.
Boruc let the ball go underneath him.
-
Nakamura looking hungry - knows he was partly at fault for the goal.
-
Maloney has a dig that drifts just beyond the far post
-
Shaun drags one just wide - keeper beaten
-
freekick Celtic 30 yards out, centre right. over to you, Nakasan.
-
C'Mon Naka...
-
Goal free kick, 1-1.
Nakamura!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Shaun pulled down 27 yds out - inside left channel
1-1 Naka !!
-
55 NAKA FREEKICK
KILLIE 1 CELTIC 1
-
1-1 Naka free kick
-
naka rights a wrong
-
YES
-
I had that typed out!
Fastest ever post after a goal.
-
1-1 Naka free kick
-
Kilmarnock 1-1 Celtic
Another classic Nakamura free kick.
-
yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss i love my naka the man is a ghod lol
-
Great response from Celtic, the charachter of the team shining through. Game opening up - looks like there are more goals on the way.
-
get in!!!!
lots of strange refereeing decisions today
-
pastyface - by putting it in the 'wrong' corner
PT just stays cool to intercept a Killie break - we are leaving it a bit open at the back - get the feeling that with 30 mins to play we just need to turn the screw - no dramatics needed
-
F
-
Killie with a lot of posession again, Celtic need to be able to hold onto the ball better.
-
Game going stale again.
A bit of magic required and Celtic have the players on the park to provide that.
Naismith playing in behind our small full backs and looks dangerous.
-
Corner Celtic, c'mon.
-
Special K's warming up
-
Special K on for Majic
-
Miller on for Zurawski. Celtic looking to attack Kille from all angles now.
-
SPECIAL K
2-1
-
Kenny Miller 2-1
-
Miller goal 2-1!!!!!!!!111
-
special k gooooaaaaaallllllll
-
Kilmarnock 1-2 Celtic.
Miller goal from a Maloney cross.
-
great ball across from Shaunaldinho, Miller slid in at the back post to bury it.
Champion
-
SUPER K does it again hail hail
-
2-1 Kenny!!!
Shaun around right back, slides it to far post, Kenny slides in for the goal.
Game is scrappy from our perspective but as truetim commented we have the players who can conjure something up.
-
Fans chanting - "we're gonney win the league"
12 games into the season, 12 points clear of huns.
-
Chants of "Oh the Rangers are (rubbish)" can be heard.
-
Bhoys singing -We're gonnae win the league.
And you know what...
We are.

-
Kllie free kick wide right
-
Brilliant. KM what a gem! Killie have had a lot of this game, its now ours for the taking. K should have went down there, if he was less a professional, for a stick on pen.
-
oh, I look forward to seeing Jeffries' cheery coupon at fulltime.
-
This young team is hungry for success!
Pleanty of young guys still out to make a name for themselves - it really shows.
-
Whata pass to Aiden from Paul Telfer......
-
What a move - Artur punches to Naka, who backheels to PT, who hits a 50 yarder to Aiden, who passes to Shaun, whose shot is deflected for a corner
-
Naka great wee throughball to Maloney - flag up though.
-
Knife .... butter ....
-
Sub Sno for Nakamura 88'
-
Naka makes me smile - ball played into the edge of our box, first-time Naka cushions a little volley right into Aiden's path to break.
Oh to have such confidence in your own technique
Gordon was so impressed he's just brought on Evander for Naka.
-
Corner for Killie last minute, over the bar.
-
Full time:
Kilmarnock 1-2 Celtic.
Celtic moved up a gear when they had to. Scored two good goals and then kept Kilmarnock away from our goals.
-
Full time at Rugby Park
Kilmarnock 1 (0) Celtic 2 (0)
Nish (49); Nakamura (55), Miller (75)
Not Celtic's best performance this season, but three points is three points.
Celtic maybe rode their luck a bit at times, but the quality just told at the end of the day.
What can I say but... Champion
-
Fingers not enough to measure our lead over Rangers, my big toe and the one next to it are coming in to play now.

At 1:29 PM, greenlion2 said…
Tontine Tim from the last thread. Sorry the question was who other than the Lions got Winners medals in 1967. I had thought it was Fallon
*yes it was Fallon as in Europe only 1 sub was allowed then and it had to be a goalie.
-
FT 2-1 - delighted with the points. Off out to celebrate 10 & 12 points respectively with Lady Funk - take care all.
-
Like I said half time - enough out there to grind out a result :) Another 3 points in the bag - if this keep up we are going to win the league by an even bigger margin than last year.
-
A satisfactory afternoons work...As was said before winning breeds teamspirit...But winning after giving them a goal start....? Great stuff...
Cool Heids...Focused on the task....With plenty in the engine......Great Squad.
Roll On The Future.

bbc scotland man of the match the mighty paul telfer the new danny mcgrain!!!

Good hard fought win, love Naka's workrate, whole team actually. Great discipline GS's team. Same result in Lisboa please! Amazing how I predicted the score agai, never happens when I put money on it. Who cares! GIRUY Jeffries!
-
Just read the Beckham link on Sky:) Not sure if WGS reaction was tongue in cheek but it is a mark of our recent progress that this is being taken seriously by the media.
Wonder if TG has had some influence in this.
Great to be a Tim right now :))

sdstim, the legal matter concluded in my favour, many thanks.
Welcome SumoBhoy, glad to see you got sorted.

Who do the huns play next week? Just gets better and better, can't wait for every weekend these days. Stuff jambos next week and we could be 20 clear by xmas!
-
the beckham thing was a joke - strachan said so to chick young just before the game - anyway we already have a right midfielder who scores with every free kick he takes
-
Rangers have the arabs at tannadice on Sunday. Probably the time they take 2nd place
-
-
greencube...You cannot count that...Everything involving that clown is a joke...
:0)
-
That's great Paul, you're welcome.
All the best to all those on the pilgrimage to Lisbon, I'm sooo jealous. With the missus back at college these days I'll have to wait and see if we get a Dutch team next in Europe, PSV will do!
-
sdstim, the darnel travel to Tannadice next week.
-
Kudos to David Fernandez saying there was no malice from Gary Caldwell in his tackle...Celtic players went to see how he was at half time.
-
pastyface DU are due a win.......
-
aye, DU have already picked up a point at CGS this season...
-
Paul
Whats your take on the Beckham story/
Seems like a marriage made in heaven
-
sdstim - I didn't want to say that and jinx it.
the table looks amazing at this stage of the season has anyone had that kind of a lead in the spl at this stage and thrown it away?
-
Gordon Strachan said that if Peter Lawell hears the Beckham "story"-he would have a heart attack..........
noel.
-
PJ u are correct of course - what was i thinking about lol
DJ squirming on the open line again - superb stuff
-
greencube did you hear him...?
'well...well...Its a stupid question..."
He is still there because he appeals to a
large demographic...Celtic fans...
Great Panto!!

Etims just gets better, if not silly
Disgraced referee Charlie Richmond handed the Scottish PremierLeague title to Celtic today after doing everything in his power to deny Rangers victory.
Richmond, founding member of the Masons in Black Celtic Supporters Club, turned in the poorest refereeing performance this unbiased reporter has seen since I left the Rangers News several years ago.
Time after time Richmond slid in to take the ball away from Boyd and Novo when both international strikers were about to place the ball into the back of the Motherwell net.
If that wasn’t bad enough Richmond then had the audacity to take the ball away from Barry Ferguson before nutmegging the Rangers captain and placing an inch-perfect pass through to Brian Kerr to score Motherwell’s equalising goal.
Richmond’s woeful performance was complete in the final minute when he dived full length to palm a goal-bound Dado Prso header round the post before awarding a goal kick to Motherwell.
The Scottish Football Association must investigate Richmond’s disgraceful performance before demoting him from the ranks and reinstating Scotland’s finest ever referee Bobby Tait in his place.
Richmond was unavailable for comment after the game but was later seen by eye-witnesses singing Celtic songs in Glasgow's Bairds Bar.

Chick Young asking WGS about progress with Sean Maloney. The reply was that he continues to develop nicely as a player. Quality!
-
Hats off to David Fernandez. I hope his injury isn't as serious as it looks.
In his post match interview he said it was a 50/50 ball, which Caldwell had to go for and these things happen. There was no malice in the challenge.
I bet the rest of the media are raging with Setanta for screening it. It will take the edge off the inevitable witch hunt against Cladwell.
Anyway, what a dreadful performace today. Only the back four would get pass marks. However, it's the result that counts and I'm delighted. To play so poorly and get a result is a great achievement.
Breaking news on the tranny that Levin will take over at Dundee United this week.
For various reasons it's always a tricky one to play a team that have just appointed a new manager.
The Huns are at Tannadice next week:-)
-
with regard to David Fernandez, I was disappointed he never made it with us, he is very skilful player. However, I think our club had some effect on him as he has never came out and criticised us for not playing more often. When he scored against us last season, no celebrations after either goal and with his post match comments today, again no bitterness.
Take note, Charlie Nicholas et al.
-
Kilmarnock pushing to overtake Rangers for 3rd in the SPL.
Home to Celtic the runaway leaders.
Home crowd voted with their bums choosing to stay at home or watch it in the pub.
Result a half empty stadium.
The SPL cannot be sustained on this kind of attendance at a match which should have been as the top encounter of the weekend.
Time to pack up our tents, load up our camels and migrate to another more fertile location.

-
gavil your thoughts have provoked something that I was thinking about last week.
Cardiff are top of the Championship and looking at making it into the premiership. Swansea and Wrexham play in the 'English' leagues.
How does that work? The league of wales has champions league qualification ability.
-
As with DU's goal, I thought Boruc took an age to go down. A very poor goal to lose and his missed punch at the end could have been costly.
TBH, I think we were very fortunate that DF had to go off as he was the best man on the park up to that point. I also think he was another player that MON never gave enough time to.
I thought his interview after the game was to his credit. His obvious affection for the club really shone through. I hope he makes a speedy recovery, but I think it could turn out to be a bad one.
I also think S Naismith has tremendous potential for one so young, but the highlight of the game was watching the torn-faced one doing exactly what is says on the tin !!!! Priceless............... :o)))
I said it from the very start, Kenny Miller will score a barrel-load. Roll on Wednesday.
It's Miller time........... CHAMPION
