Brown

kennedy
mcmanus
naylor
naka
brown
donati
mcgeady
miller
jvoh
-
that is a good looking eleven-c'mon the hoops
-
What a mid-field, world class.
-
The patience afforded to Kenny Miller while little to none for others is nonsense.
This alone says it all for me.
-
Unreal the comments from WGS on Celtic TV last night Talking about last weeks team performance against Kille "no problem with the way they played last week". Sorry to say Gordan if the players play like that today were in trouble. Start of a big few days come on the Celtic.
-
The good news. This season, live SPL football is available throughout the Indian sub continent on that wonderful cable tv channel Ten Sports.
The bad news. After three years of waiting, one hour before kick off someone has sliced through the cable connection to my bit of Chennai.
I don't know whether to laugh, cry or shout Hail Hail.
-
whoooosh> Yo! peeps what gives???
woken up rather rudely by some geezer banging a big drum this am,(the locals know hopw to welcome the hoops) its raining here, i live 5 mins from falkirk ground...soggy pitch nakamura time...bye bye hartley....
updates ..normal service resumes with having an extra large virgin package.......
setanta..hmm...dour jim jeffries and big eck ffs!!!
is radio schottland any better??

Tiny Tim
Neither looking to score points, nor show how clever I may think myself; nor looking for a barney…
However, I think you’ll find the Irish are in fact, the Scots, and they, the Scots are in fact Irish. They have been in Scotia/Alba/Dalriada/Caladonia whatever our country was called back then. But the one thing that most Scots, of whatever persuasion, don’t appreciate is, that without the Irish they would not today be Scottish;
Because the Scots were in fact Irish. Pretty simple really.
Really is a simple bit of history, for those that are bothered to understand their country and their blood line.
-
to quote DBBIA> i like of that back 4 .......
and to quote tukerbhoy> i like the look of that midfield too.....
awww i can see ma hoose on the telly.......
league leaders >vs the hoops....
im not one for doing predictions but im happily clapping...
and for next week im sure we will get a result against the muscovites....
pah they are only tetragonal or pseudotetragonal layered structures of silica....hmmm

Doumbe has signed on for the rest of the season. It's on the fishal site.
-
Happy with the starting line up
Kenny to score today,
3-1 Celtic
C-mon The Hoops
-
Doumbe now in yet its after the CL deadline. What a complete joke.
-
Rennes were looking off £400k of us at the end of the season. Since he was a free agent when we signed him have we stiffed Rennes for the fee? Look after the £ks and the £ms will look after themselves.
-
welcome jean joel perrier....
kittoch> if this team dont grab the points today then questions will be asked...
whats a complete joke molloy???
how do you get a witch pregnant??
:-)
-
Gravesen, Jarosik and Balde don't even make the bench.
Any significance ?
-
Aldo
Totally agree, with the exception of Miller I would think this is the team most would choose from the current squad
-
The fact that he could not have been signed before the CL deadline. We are being managed by an eejit.
-
Wee S*%&! Young on radio Scotland , hates his mouth for having to say Celtic. Spits out our team then says “ on the bench for THEM”. Grrrrr missed the subs cos of him!
-
Bhoy_ molloy
"EEJIT"
Well Mr Lawell must be one as well as he negotiates the contract's.
Though you do have a vaild point PJJD should have been signed before now...makes sense!
Come on the Hoops!!
-
molloy> im not 100%sure but i think free transfers and loans are ok after the deadline,
i think we are looking at a squad mentality, not a first choice XI.....
we have 'difficult' away fixtures next 3 games...we must have points on board by end of this game....
or the meinschafters will be out....
sorry for missing earlier comments,.i was in the kitchen making prawn sandwiches ....
oooh its the huddle now....
wonder what they say???
-
Bhoy_Molloy - Perhaps it was Doumbe's actions that meant he wasn't signed before the deadline. Who knows? Certainly not you or I.
Regardless of that Gordon Strachan is not actually responsible for getting the signatures onto the contracts, so even if the club were at fault, it's hardly reasonable to use this as a stick to beat him with.
Right we're huddling. I'm off.
-
Bhoy_Molloy am i right in thinking the only deadline he missed was that to play in this round
-
shocking tackle by falkirk thug on naylor. took the boot right aff him....
mcgeady to miller......celtic looking quick on the break...goal falkirk...oh poop
-
FFS!!
-
Worst defensive mistake I have seen in a long time. Falkirk player jumped between Kennedy and Naylor.
-
oh fabulous
-
Poor poor defending in centre of defence. Well if we were going to lose a goal there is no better time.
-
It resulted in a goal for Falkirk (1-0), in case you are not watching.
-
Come on Celtic!!!
-
Corner. C'mon the Hoops.
-
Headed over from Donati.
-
McManus to blame again for the goal. Cant win a ball in the air
Bobo Bobo Bobo
-
Miller wins corner.
Naka to take.
Headed past.
-
Shot from JvOH. Saved by keeper. Corner taken by Naka. Wasted.
-
Yo! paul> regards to you and yours...
pressure by celtic donatti forward...
100 games in charge for gordon...
how many games have we had to come from behind???
corner celtic...ref blew whistle for foul...
this kind of start wont go down well if it happens against the muscovites...
-
JVOH shot pushed round post.
Corner wasted.
-
Brilliant by Brown shouting Orders around!
-
Mornin all - off to a bad start I see. Maybe that will get the bhoys into the right frame of mind..
-
Neat play from Falkirk so far.
Good triangular passing helping them make progress up the park.
-
Donati booked for late tackle.
Ref evens the score.
-
Donati gets away with warning for a late tackle.
Miller's first touch - d'oh!
-
Donati gets away with warning for a late tackle.
Miller's first touch - d'oh!
-
good pressure but cleared
-
Good pressure from Celtic following KM break.
-
Cant see the game and radio scotland restricted to uk only so thanks , it's a life line!
anyone know the subs?
-
Wilson cross was poor behind Miller.
Celtic at least looking quick and threatening.
-
is this an exercise in gordon showing the world what talent(loosely used)we have on the pitch today... this shopuld be meat and veg if we are to remain champions of the spl...ok a draw at home to killie...we cant lose points today as the margins of other teams losing points will diminish..ok 36 games left....we knew what was needed...
not worried but we need to score the next goal..as i cannot see us coming back from 2-0 deficit...
scobbie looks a good player for falkirk...i dont see anyone in hoops grabbing this game so far...
-
more pressure - we never looked like we were going to score last week but this is much better - the goals will come today.
-
Jamie
Subs:
Riordan
Sno
McGovern
Hartley
All I Know
-
It is a really good game. Both teams are playing good passing football in the middle of the park, both defences look shaky.
-
Cheers gg and kittoch
-
That was close by falkirk
-
Did we not buy Brown?
Is he still in the changing room?
-
Good shot after a good move from Falkirk.
Ball over.
-
Defence aren't handling movement of Falkirk front players at all. We're going to lose another unless we get a grip at the back
-
Falkirk again headed past.
Centre of defence suspect to high ball.
-
Corner from Naka. Turned away off line, Come on!!
-
Lucky save by the Falkirk keeper to keep it 1.0
-
Corner for Celtic after quick movement upfield.
-
This is shocking. Falkirk, a 2 bit but well run club, are dominating the midfield. I have said it before SPACE SPACE SPACE, only Donati knows how to close down. Falkirk will get another headed goal before the day is out.
-
header from JFK - great save
-
Yo! Aldo, straight back at you.
24 mins. wonder save from Falkirk keeper from a Kennedy header.
There could be plenty of goals in this game.
-
Lucky save from Falkirk keeper

shot from Brown - saved

falkirk are playing us of the park just now!
-
from nakamura corner...
kennedy header saved by keepers foot....
game will settle down now, maybe we can play passing game now...
is there anyone in the hoops on the park can tackle???
free kick mcgeady...ref/linesman a bit ponderous in their assigned roles
-
Good open game so far.
Plenty of passing football by both teams.
-
good ball from Naka to play JVoH in but just offside
-
JVOH just offside.
We are pushing forward.
-
Why don't we put a marker on Latapy?
Or just kick him up the bahokie!
-
Shot saved by Brown - Naylor needs to step it up
-
That'll DO!
-
shot on target from falkirk, brown saves...
whats he doin in goals he is meant to run midfield....hmmm
can we sign some players with a surname of white and some greens??
ooh miller scores 1-1
-
1 each Miller I Think
-
1-1 we're there
scrappy but just wat the champs need!
-
goal 1-1
-
own goal but who cares
-
plenty of time yet but a visitor from another world unfamiliar with scottish football might understandably think that falkirk are the team playing an important champions league qualifier next week.
We are being bossed in the midfield. Lots of talent but we lack an enforcer.
yippee 1-1 an oggie
-
Sorry correction
Own Goal who cares
Celtic still to score this year
-
Donati did well got to the byeline and pulled it back. Ball went in off Milne for an OG
-
29 mins. 1-1.
Own goal after a great move between Vennegoor and Donati.
To be fair to the Falkirk player who scored, if he had not stuck his leg out it would have reached Kenny Miller, who was clear in front of goal, 2 yards out with no goalkeeper.
So we might have won a dangerous corner out of the move.
-
BhoyMalloy,
Lay of Miller.... The team for me (No individual) is just not performing!!
I'm a little worried...
-
Miller almost in but cleared
-
Note how many men we are getting forward and into their box.
I like the look of this.
-
Has Gordon Strachan got the team playing Rocky Balboa tactics? Let your opponent wallop in to you & then get back when he`s used up all his energy.
Or are we playing like Frank Bruno!
Hail Hail
-
paul67> kenny miller ...2 yards in front of goal...with no keeper....
aye ye'd bet yer hoose on it ;-)
more pressing play from midfeld....cmon give us a goal!!!!
-
Good defensive work by Miller. Goal kick to us
-
Another dangerous cross from Falkirk after a break.
They really are trying to exploit our central defence.
-
Paul67
Was that a hint of Sarcasm I detected ?
-
I cannot believe Donati just did that!!!!
FFS We need to get our act together!!
SPC
-
McManus is having a mare, seems totally lost in his own box
-
Good break by Aiden. Donati booked for hauling back Latapy
-
Poor cross from Wilson after we had players in the box.
-
Is this our best back 4?? The gaps at the back is shocking.
-
Do we know how to mark opposition players ? a. Is McManus in charge and b. can he see what is going on in front of him?
-
Latapy is 39 and is running the show. Not what we should be witnessing
-
possilbhoy> more like fthrrrpank broono......while undergoing dodgy lessons in subservience as he trains to be a tory mp...

Higdon BIG dumpling from some backwater league! he's bossing the defense,Mcmanus and Kennedy ARE not ready as yet!
Physical presence at he back non existant!
-
We've dropped the tempo since we scored
-
Well played Kenny Miller, best move of the game....
-
good chance for Aiden - saved for corner
-
Correct me if I'm wrong. Was Scott Brown not an exciting, penetrating midfielder make runs into the opponents box. Why are we playing him a deep lying holding midfielder.
Why not play someone else in this role and get the most out of browns talents.
-
Corner for Celtic.
cleared.
-

Big Frank a Tory M.P.! That would be about right, both always got/get humped.

half time.

Half Time:
Falkirk 1-1 Celtic
Good game, both teams playing nice football, but the defence is poor.
glasgowdave, you have to smile.
-
HT 1-1.
-
This is an excellent game.
Best league game I have watched for a while that did not involve Hibernian.
And it is good to see the "neds" who have been witnessed by many people as uncontrollable thugs, are being superb ambassadors for our club.
Even if we are singing that "Irish tosh",The Fields.
Tom the Tim,I will allow you to apologise to these people,as they deserve nothing less from you,and others who spout their venom against our support.
For whatever reason.
Latapy is quite superb, but he will not last.
Very good first half.

Bring back Bobo.

Paul,
Do you really think Celtic are playing well??
I think I must be wathing the wrong game....

being bossed by a 39yo who has done the same everytime we play them...what does g write doon in his wee notebook?
we don't hassle, don't tackle and oor final baw is shocking...
but hey ho it's one one..
-
falkirk play good stuff, if only others in the spl did we would have a better league
kano agree latapy excellent we would be lauding him if he had hoops on, however i agree he will fade
2 central defenders getting bossed by higdon, naylors distribution poor
scott brown has been fairly quiete again
for all the faults of kenny when he clears the ball off a mans feet 16 yards out u know he gives his all.........and ask where the defence was
our final ball is just 5 yards heavy, in the second half it will come
-
To see such a poor defensive display is utterly depressing. On a positive note, one might suggest it can only improve. If so, it had better do so quickly. I shudder to think of Wednesday night in Moscow. To all those who are going, I salute you.
Latapy is a good player. However, we enhance his ability by presenting him with more than sufficient space. The only time we have snatched the ball in midfield is when Donati has pressed. The others are taking a breather. WGS better start enhancing his reputation with his ht talk. This is his team on display.
Paul67 - there are flashes of good football. However they are neutralised by the "where are we, what are we doing" defending.
-
HT Falkirk 1-1 Celtic
Missed the first 10 minutes but thought we played well. End to end game, good football played by both teams. Our movement is much better than last week, particularly on the break where we are getting forward in numbers and playing some good passes. Falkirk play well in midfield without creating much of a threat.
Some good performances so far with Naka and Miller the stand-outs. Naylor is yet to come onto a game this year. He and Wilson are both guilty of giving the ball away with hopefull lobs forward. Kennedy keeping things together
at the back but Mick still seems to be suffering from the distraction of the captaincy.
Donati good in flashes but casual at times. Brown with plenty of running and will come onto a game in the second half. JVoH looks happier with Miller up front. Aiden needs to forget about getting down the line and come inside more.
All in all - much better than last week. I can see us scoring more in second half.
-
gg> i could offer a prawn sandwich and a glass of merlot......
kano> go on go on go on.....:-)
last time i watched hibs they rode the jambos in their own midden... one touch passing, movement off the ball...hmmm....
back to reality...
i can still see a a win here but i think again we will have to come from behind...falkirk pressure and a wee break up the park for us to score??
or will falkirk be happy with a point at home and shut up shop....
am i stuck in a timewarp in the eighties...???
this is like a tommy burns team so far this year...nae offence like tommy :-0)

Am I watching the same game as you.

He's roamin'

Ross Wallace having great game for Sunderland Left wing back.

I`m listening to Radio Scotland/Torture. After hearing about the great football Falkirk are playing we have Billy Dodds saying that this is a great opportunity for Rangers today.

Craig Gordon't first howler Spurs should really have scored.
Best of luck to all our Celts in the EPL

Wee Shaun (come home)

singaporecelt, yes, I think we are passing the ball well in midfield, better than we have in a long time.
Defensively we are all over the place, and the strikers have not convinced me.
-
-Ves.
Defence looks shaky and suspect on cross ball.
FBs crossing hopeful and inaccurate.
Brown did he miss the bus?
+++Ves
Pouring men forward.
Made a number of openings saved by keeper.
We are looking better than the last couple of weeks.
-
Malceye - I'm the first to say when we are rank. We are playing well today in difficult conditions. Get behind your team.
-
lets be honest - Falkirk look like a great football side.
We are shocking so far!
Defense (as we have been saying for long enough) is weak and not imposing/dominant. I would be happier with Bobo until we sign a replacement. Naylor is giving the ball away and wilson is overweight and ball watching.
Forward line - no pace getting to the by line although mcgeady is working hard to create - i still think he is too easily shrugged off the ball. Kenny miller just doesnt have a football brain - he has pace yet on the break he drops back to midfield to pick up the ball - waste!
the midfield are at all sorts trying to cover for a poor defense and unable to link to the forward line.
for months now we have been saying we need 3 players of power and pace and until we bring them in we will struggle- we are too lightweight oth physically and in character!
lets see what GS does at half time but if we want to progress this season we need to complete the transistion and get rid of the deadwood and bring in celtic class players.
hail hail!

Okay Paul....
I hope we pick it up in this half...
