Darcheville on for Boyd, Ferguson on for Faye. 2 subs at half time, unusual for Smith but they needed the changes.

Apparently when Caldwell, Hartley, McManus and Brown reported for training after Paris, Strachan had the players line-up and applaud them into the dressing room.

    Nice touch.

    That's when they post Paul.

Quite confident they read through the season!!

They must do,they pop out after episodes like Clyde, and that other disaster we had that season, let me remember, when we beat Motherwell in the semi final, and they had the gaul to let them make a game of it.

Sack the manager I think was the call, when we qualified for the Cup Final!!!

What was it?If that had been Rangers they would have beaten us to go into the final, and they would have only been ten victories away from winning the treble and showing up Gordon Strachan for what he really is!!!

That wasn't it word for word, but ye get the drift,

Flicking between the Rangers game and the Portsmouth-Liverpool game.

    English game is utter dross.

    Both teams are mince.

    Was Ferguson injured?

Or was Wattie(copyright,Radio Clyde and the Daily Record) just being too confident after we had humped Hearts?

    Definite penalty.Clever play from Ferguson.

Guys - we are in the best position the club has been for the past 40 years.

Domesticly, we have a better team, and better squad than Rangers. This squad is younger than rangers and will get better. Rangers is elderly and will on the whole not improve. They cannot change this by bringing in many new players as they cannot afford it!

On the other hand, we could go out and concievably spend close to £10m on a player without it being to much of a problem. We have some top young players coming through the ranks, and in WGS, John Park, Peter Lawell and Brian Quinn we have some top people and top business and football brains running the club.

We have not seen anything yet!!

    Mon the hoops!!

I remind you all, three weeks ago Celtic beat Hearts 5-0.

And when we drew our fist SPL match of the season we were a hair's breadth from having cracked crests all over the sports pages, and our title challenge was as good as written off on day 1. So what will the meeja make of this?...

A nice emphatic win for the Celtis today will rub it in nicely. 5-0, 6-0, or perhaps even 7-0 will round off a fantastic week!

That is a cracker of a question for the doomsayers..

Hearts played quite well, only quite, which means we were really lucky a couple of weeks ago,and Rangers were quite mince, only quite.

Which means they are better than usual.

I suppose I will have to give that one to doomsayers.

Get the feeling he would prefer Hartley, for a hard game, before McGeady.

Good weapon to introduce on tired legs.

If Hartley played in that team the way we know he is capable of,that would be quite a scary team for anyone.

    Aview....

    I don't have satelite,or cable TV.

Haven't had since Scottish football was ditched by Foxsports(Australia about five years ago.)

And refuse to pick up Setanta for twice the price of Channel67!!

Quality of picture isn't something that matters a great deal.

Most times I have watched Celtic in the flesh in my adult life, due to liquid intake beforehand, the picture has been less clear than what I now get on the web thingy.

And I see every match(Scottish ones) live, not just some, and I have other means of watching Champions League games.

I feel most of the money that we are expected to pay for Fox is for the "pleasure" of having the EPL.

Frankly,it is not something I am happy about paying for the "pleasure" to watch.

I would rather watch the Scottish,Spanish,German and Dutch leagues in that order,England comes 7 or 8th in my list of leagues when it comes to viewing football for pleasure.

If there is ever a channel which shows ALL Celtic games live on satelite or cable,I will be in on it,otherwise,Channel67 for me.

Interesting that they looked very poor minus Ferguson...and also that Cuellar looked none to comfortable when it all got a bit quick.

Biggest threat up front seems to come from Darcheville wrestling with defenders and laying it off.

    Oh Massimo!!!

Supoerb move between Donati,McGeady and McDonald, but mostly great work from Donati,

Tight angled shot that may have taken a wee deflection.

Probably flattered by the score,in fact definitely flattered.

But hey, everybody likes to be flattered.

Sounds on the radio like Mark Wilson is having a good game. Any comment on his performance?

  • At 15/09/07 15:49, Kano said…

    H-T 2-0.

    Probably not totally deserved.

2-1 or 2-2 would probably be fairer on the play, but Donati was brilliant for the goal.

That is where the difference is.

  • At 15/09/07 15:53, Kano said…

Wilson is fine at the back.

But not making many overlapping runs, playing the early ball quite a lot,but that has a lot to do with Naka too.

I would have left him out again, and maybe brought him on as a sub on Tuesday.

He needs a break, and now was the only time where it was possible to have one.

    Think we will regret it.

    HT Celtic 2-0 ICT

That was an excellent first half. ICT will feel hard done by, they have played well, but this just emphasizes how well we have played to go in at 2-0. This side has the makings of the best Celtic team I have seen for a long time.

The movement in midfield is superb even though Naka and Brown are having quiet games by their standards. Aiden is looking full of confidence and Donati is proving to be a superb signing by WGS.

The defense looks pretty solid although they have looked at sixes and sevens at times. JVoH and McDonald are getting good service and creating lots of space for the midfield to find scoring opportunities. JVoH looks like he's starting to play better after a slow start to the season.

All in all a great day so far
