On the Sno theme. I already said about a year ago he is one of our special players (and still is) though he is possibly going to wait till next year till he features regularly in the team set-up.
Looking forwards to him shutting up the brain dead among our support. C’mon the Sno man.

Hope Conroy can get some decent service from the goal line to our strikers.
-
My dear friend, Maloney Baloney...
My sources....who are nevah evah wrong.... tell me that ....
Mr. Conroy is a LEFT WINGER....
A Clever, Tricky and Fast.... prospect.
Interestingly, Gordo...has decided to convert him into a LEFT BACK.
It is in this position that Ryan has now regularly been apearing, in the Celtic Reserve side.
Shades of Mr. Wallace...limps to mind!
I am looking forward to how this experiment pans out...
Remember , the glaring flaw that has appeared in the Celtic Attack...has been the handicap of trying to mount telling attacks, without the help of an ACCURATE flow of Dangerous Crosses from the Wings......
Let's hope that the inclusion of Mr. Conroy..a former Winger.. may rectify that serious drawback.
Kojo.
Yer pal......who thinks you are swell.
I
-
Dont waant to appear ignorant but can anyone give me the lowdown on who Conroy is as I've not heard his name in connection with the left back position. Whats happened to Caddis.
-
Caddis is a right back. Ryan Conroy has been playing left back for some time now in the reserves although as Kojo points out that wasn't his original position.
He attended St.Pat's Dumbarton in the same year as Jim O'Brien.

Stevie G sticks it in the onion bag
-
I have a feeling that Conroy is chosen primarily to negate the threat and trickery of Moutinho.
If he is a speedy winger converted to full back then he may be the ideal choice as we certainly lack speed at the back.
I didn't see Conroy listed on the official site either in the first team or reserves.

Hi folks,
Agreed on BBC commentary; completely anti-celtic by all of them.
STV are showing Chelsea game - I have no idea why apart from the fact they are a bunch of diddies
BBC Radio now still insisting it was handball by Conroy - trust the video will embarass these guys
-
HT Celtic 2-0 Falkirk
Been watching the game intermittently at work on a slow connection. Missed the first 10 mins and both goals but based on what I have seen, Falkirk are the better side. Celtic players are content to stand off and let Falkirk take the game to us. We have created very little in front of goal - very disappointing to say the least. Where has the early season energy, flowing football and goal scoring gone?
Still, WGS will point to the scoreboard and it is hard to argue against that.
Will try and get more of the second half coverage.
-
Thanks Gavin - I forgot to add "after 5 mins" :)

Porto lead 1-0 at HT so my hope of drawing them in last 16 still in with a chance.
L'Pool lead 2-0
Chelsea drawing 0-0

Olympiacos lead Bremen 1-0.
Lyon giving Rangers a roasting but it's still 0-0 ;-)

"There's no doubt that this is a handball, a sending off and a penalty."
Aforementioned numpty.
-
why do bbc scotland need to 'colour' men on this game. Commentator and Murdo are surely plenty.
Listening to him now crickey its an opinion fest. Who opened this can
-
Didn't know who the 'third wheel' was on't transistor. But I actually find it funny when they allow their vehemence for 'parity' amongst the 'smaller' teams to only show their true feelings - ie Celtic all wrong, Falkirk all right. Blow the whistle indeed - how many times have we seen EPL refs allowing corners to be taken in a game?
Oh no not in Scotchland....
-
See no evil, hear no evil, no matter at 2 – 0 a happy bhoy.

Missed whole 1st half due to having to um, work.
How is the wee fella from OLSP Dumbarton playing?

Preston is a numpty. Listening to the radio so not seen the Falkirk penalty appeal but Preston used 'Conroy could do nothing about it' and 'should have been a penalty and a sending off' in the same sentence. If he could do nothing about it how can it be deliberate so a sending off? Muppet.
-
Murdo McLeod gives this numpty a huge beatdown and makes him look a total prat.
Terry Butcher put forward by the numpt for the vacant Dunfermline post. Says he's the ideal man for the job.
Murdo just pointed out he lost six in a row and got sacked by Brentford. What makes him the ideal man for Dunfermline.
Numpty speechless. So satisfying after his commentary.
-
Just heard a numpt on BBC radio saying "Conroy can't do nothing about it, but it's handball, a penalty, and a sending off" - read the rule book ya dawber - if the player can do nothing about a ball hitting his hand, i.e. it is not deliberate, it is not an offence.
-
martybhoy - agreed; a muppet.... and a dawber :-)
-
HUNT THE NUMPT!
-
Are we attacking Jock Stein end as usual 2nd half? More goals please bhoys!! Radio commentators need sickened even more & let's improve our goal difference!!
-
IMHO Replay showed ball hit Conroy on chest.
He is playing well against a very tricky forward in Moutinho.
Moutinho has got no change out of him and has been forced inside where he has looked dangerous.
'GG
-
Still retain a soft spot for Murdo, and I feel when he's confronted with a blind shove he reacts accordingly.
-
This surely must be "numpty" alan Presteon's last gig as a summeriser.
He was talking about someone sacked by Brentford as being the "ideal manager" for Dunfermline.
Murdo treated him with contempt.
-
3-0 to Liverpool Dirk

I think Murdo's off to hook that guy in the bogs. :^)
Second half underway.

He's a diet hun!!
Allan Preston (born August 16, 1969 in Leith, Edinburgh) is a retired Scottish professional footballer and, later, a manager.
Preston, who predominantly played at left-back, began his career as a 15-year-old with Dundee United in 1985. After spending eight years at Tannadice, he signed for Hearts, the team he supported as a boy. After only one season in Edinburgh, however, he joined St. Johnstone. It was in Perth that he played the most consistent football of his career, which led to the St. Johnstone fansite Blue Heaven launching a campaign, entitled "Biscuits for Scotland", for his call-up to the Scotland squad. It was, however, unsuccessful.
In June 2000, after a hip injury ended his playing career, Preston became assistant to Macclesfield Town manager Peter Davenport, also an ex-Saint. A year later he joined Scottish side Livingston as a coach, and in June 2004 he became the club's manager.[1] He brought in another former St. Johnstone teammate, Alan Kernaghan, as his number two. Kernagahan had been player/manager at Clyde.
In November 2004, after just fifteen games in charge, Preston and Kernaghan were sacked after the team's seventh successive defeat.[2]

Does it really grate on anyone else that the BBC commentator refers to our skipper as MuckManus? Preston will be delerious Celtic have been denied a stonewall penalty.

Surging run from Brown and McGeady cross met by JVOH. Header stopped on line.
Suspicion of hand ball.
No penalty awarded.
'GG

Now - that looked like a hand ball on the line as JVoH's header was blocked - what are the BBC saying about that?
-
Hearing JVOH's name a fair bit - he adding much?

If numpt is to be believed this Falkirk side are world class, everything they do is perfection.
We can only ask whatever Gods we believe in how we are winning this one :^)

Brown saves a shot from just outside box.
We're letting them back into the game again.
Concerning especially as we looked threatening again.
Conroy AGAIN stops Moutinho with a good tackle.
'GG
-
We are making Fakirk lood good by standing off too much. To be fair, they move the ball around very quickly plating two-touch football. Our players get the ball and hold on to it too long and either lose possession or allow them to get back behind the ball.

-
Yea Aiden ma son goan yersel
HHBhoy
-
Sounded like a great goal on CH67! Nice to see he kept it down, I think part of the problem with McGeady's shot is that he goes for the top corner. My observations are that he finds it easier to hit the target when he keeps it low and I think low shots can be more awkward to save.
-
Numpt feels that Mcgeady's strike had traces of Catholic fairy dust trailing from it, which, due to the evil Irish wind blowing within the tottie bowl, got in the Falkirk goalie's eyes allowing the wee jobbie irishman to score...
-
Time for a couple of substitutions.

Listening to the game on Radio Scotland.(the second half only) We are 4-0 up and the topic of conversation all night has been why Derek is not playing.
I take it these commentators say the same thing about Boydchenko, gow and boradfoot when the huns play.
They are shocking.
Sounds as if we have turned in a good performance.
How the presthun gets a job is unbelievable.

Good play by Sno in the box there, Killen really should have moved to meet the ball, certainly a wee bit static the big man

Just about every time Riordan has been called upon, he's done the business.
I'd be absolutely fuming if I was him.
He is being very shoddily treated...
-
antsman,
"even conroy gets in before him"
Are you suggesting Riordan should have got the left-back place instead of Conroy?
-
34 out of 85 hat-tricks scored in the SPL since it started - by CELTIC!! - the King Of Kings got 12 of them!!- surprisingly that statistic supplied courtesy of BBC Radio Scotland!!
-
I think, personally, Riordan is on his way.
When you're well ahead in a game there's no point in giving someone a run out who is definitely leaving. WGS probably focussing on people who are definitely staying.
I think Riordan is a good player but clearly he has no future at Celtic.
-
antsman there must be something else which we do not know about behind the scenes. In reality I have not saw enough from Derek yet to see him as our saviour.
As someone stated on here last week. He was not always a first choice with Hibs. I dont have the facts to back that up but I think in peoples mind he is getting better every week more he stays on the bench.
I was having a dig at the commentators in that I have never heard anything said about the 3 players I mentioned not getting a game. Double standards I think.

I truly don't know if starting DR will change anything - and yes, before you start I know how much he INSTANTLY can test or beat the goalie. But I've watched him when he's been given a cup game and he fails to grab the game and maybe doesn't have the 'extras' to his game that others have, and I know that Starchan has specifically added to Aiden's game - ie tracking back etc.

Young Conroy played really well I thought and it was nice to see us use some WIDTH productively for a change.

HG stands for Holy Goalie, regarding Artur Boruc transfer specualtion that's been all over the press today.
"pizza party" refers to Cousin's comments that the Rangers players were binging on Pizzas and fizzy drinks as well as drinking alot.

Just in from Paradise-and it was.
Met TTTT,Neil R,Martin 42 ,Big P and Kevin.
Great atmosphere tonight- a Celtic team who were up for it from the 1st minute.
Well done to young Ryan Conroy.
Aiden was superb
-even without the goals-
one of the best individual performances at Celtic Park in a long, long time.
We looked well solid at the back-
Donati was good and Broon looked more like the player we paid £4m for.
Nothing is going for Big Jan at the moment-
time for a rest big man.
Evander and Killen looked lively when they came on-
especially Evander.
Well done The Hoops.

If we can really strengthen in January we must go on to win the league this year. That is our number 1 priority!
Looking forward to seeing tonight's goals. Great so see McGeady get a hat trick, I really hope he can push on to even greater things for us now.

Well done Aiden tonight - have always been impressed with your talents, but have also seen some limitations. You have done well to address them this season but (and you were not alone) had a poor game on Saturday. Really well done tonight. You did not become a dud on Saturday and equally did not become a superstar tonight, but you can certainly feel pretty pleased for yourself.
From the team point of view an important and resounding win tonight. Well done to all. A lot of hard work in front of us still though.
-
Just hame fae the game. Really chuffed with and for Aiden tonight, he was magnificent.
If he doesn't get a Spinal Tap 11 out of ten in tomorrows rags there is no justice.
When the premiership clubs start circling like vultures, all the Aiden doubters will be desperate for him to sign another deal.
We have a wee gem on our hands.
-
don't know about anyone else but did anyone notice how mcgeady looked very good with both feet tonight?
Played some excellent crosses and passes, never mind goals with his 'weaker' left foot
TB said GS is harder on aiden than anyone else, credit to gordon for getting th most out him and aiden for his attitude
-
First time posting blah blah - been reading CQN since I was a foetus etc etc - fully expect a welcome from The Teacher (Paul67).
Love the whole CQN thing - Don't know why I decided tonight to jump, but I'm on now.
Also know of about another 30 Hoops who read CQN and don't contribute. Andy, James, Pete, Silky, Gerry, Seve, Andy (II), Dom etc you know who you are. Sort it out. Like my username? Hoping that gets us some well-deserved Kudos in my book.... :-) ah pish! (Shakespeare used that, so no language violation pls...) I've started those face things already - hate them, and hate "lol" - should be an "lol violation" rule..
Keep up the good work all of you - Noel90 - like ur posts, but where are tonight's goals?!? Ur public need you. Others I enjoy are the usual suspects, tails a waggin et al. Even like the input from Edward. We all have smarter mates from the darkside who we don't mind a bit of banter with...
Bet this doesn't work - have tried it at least once a year for the last 4 or so years, and never been successful.
Oh, my point caller? I should have done this after Saturday, but let's look at the fact mes amis: 2-in-a-row, last 16 twice in a row, top of the league, Rangers to play top 6 in their next 6 games, behind the scenes PL and BQ (damn we'll miss him) have worked wonders and I love the business acument they have introduced, including not showing your hand at the transfer window, the club are climbing out of debt, we have just had record turnover, we are still top despite about 453,000 players out injured - so can we all get behind the team please? And booing a 20-year-old is not The Celtic Way.... Takes me back to another gem from P67 - supporters or customers - what are we? Sounding like Delia now so I'll move on...
Thanks to CQN advice, I have not bot ONE newspaper in about 18 months - you only feed/support them, so stop buying! Tempted to buy The Times from time to time (pun violation) due to the Spiersmeister, but after reading that, the rest of the forest is pretty heavy duty.
Looking forward to my first podium. I know, I know, but I want one....
Cheers and well done Aidinho

noel90 - believe me, Paul wants a Legal Stick for Christmas!! Who cares about the 2 games in hand? we're still 5 points ahead- C'mon the Hoops!
-
That was the best result we have ever had,and the best we have ever played.
Every single player we have proved beyond a doubt that they have the right to play for Celtic and wear the jersey.
In fact they should never be allowed to be replaced in the team again, for ever.
Even if they are injured.
And Gordon Strachan and his coaching team are just so magnificent, they should all be given knighthoods, nobel prises and sainthoods.
Each and every one of them.
As I said, and absolute pleasure to watch and this only proves how much the likes of Inter and Real Madrid will be quaking in their shoes after watching us play like this.
I say again, well done to the players and the management, for putting us back where we belong in world football.
Right at the very summit.

Just back from game. Not a great performance, but can't moan with a 4-niller...
Random thoughts...
Great stuff from Aiden and Brown, also McDonald put in a power of work.
Solid as ever from Elvis.
Well done Conroy, apart from one hairy moment in the first half I don't think he put a foot wrong.
We look better with Donati in the middle.
JVoH- needs a rest, badly.
Referee: We should've had a stonewaller I thought- but what about the Falkirk claim in the first half- handball by Caldwell I think? Looked a good shout...
All in all, satisfied, but don't understand why we couldn't have played at that pace against the Buddies!

If Majic leaves in January does anyone think aiden should/could be given the No7.
I also agree with a point brought up tonight that McManus does not need this at this stage of his career but still doing a great job.
JeHoVa does need some bench time, but they do believe in the second coming ha ha
P.S. Does anybody know how i can spell check this thing pleease....

UlyssesMcGhee :- You said "Mcgeady's strike had traces of Catholic fairy dust trailing from it, which, due to the evil Irish wind blowing within the tottie bowl, got in the Falkirk goalie's eyes "
I look forward to seeing if the Celtic loving press will mention this supernatural intervention/cheating tomorrow but I doubt it. What chance do the rest of Scotlands teams have when ethnic folklore and unseen substitutes help out your team. In the interests of fair play I think an exorcism should be carried out at Celtic Park before our game in January. (though I do understand that this may have a bad effect on some of your team.

Very enjoyable game tonight. Aiden lit the place up but it was a pretty decent performance all round.
Falkirk passed the ball well and kept it for periods but didn't make chances. Fancy stuff with no end product.
Skippy worked so hard tonight, almoss trying too hard at times and his touch let him down. JVoH looks off the pace and short on confidence. He needs a few goals to get anywhere near a decent player.
Ryan Conroy did well on his debut. Some good defending as well as looking composed going forward. Was it any coincidence that Aiden shone on the night he wasn't playing with a centre half at full back?

are you seriously not bricking it about the game tomorrow
-
Not long back from the game.
All credit to Falkirk for trying to play football all through the game, even when they went down to 10 men. Easy to see why, when everything 'clicks' they can manage to put 5 past the likes of St.Mirren.
As there wasn't much of a crowd tonight, Evander got a good reception when he came on and with a bit more confidence should have burst the net in the last minute.

PFAyr :- To be honest as the game gets closer I'm getting a wee bit nervous but I get like that with any big game. I don't think for a second we will repeat the 3 - 0 score but I'm fairly confident on going through. If we can't get a point at home against them then I'll be the first to admit that despite a good start we simply don't deserve it.

This blogger is a nightmare.
Ed it pains me to say after watching Marseille highlights tonight if thats the state of French football you may have a chance only benefit is that they kicked everything above grass so at least that would be a result!!!!
Listening to the English commentators is it any reason why people dont want the English teams to go through. Presthun could get a job down there.

Edward's lot may have a few difficult games in Europe this season - Marseille, Werder Bremen and Rosenborg could all be tricky opponents:-)

Someone asked earlier if Big Jan added anything to tonight. The only thing he added to was his bank balance. Edward, how could you possibly score three against Celtic in the CL final? Scottish referees are not allowed to participate. Or has Duffield more power than we thought?

Hope ur Arthurian Blog comes to pass P67. I had a hunch that was the case, but with so many of the old media reporting it, I got a bit edgey today. Bhoy, do we need him....

Option 2 the fan who goes to midweek games against Falkirk is less likely to boo.

I enjoyed watching that tonight. I know that Falkirk fans find it patronising when their team is praised after a heavy defeat, but I'm going to do just that.
John Hughes will develop some good players because he demands that they play football. I don't think their goalie is allowed to do more than 2 long kick outs in a row. In the SPL this is a high risk strategy and intelligent players like Donati intercepted a number of times tonight but still they came on.
I hope Falkirk fans do not demand that he sacrifices player development to results. I know that relegation is costly but they should be able to keep their heads up above Gretna this year and ICT or St. Mirren next.
This will allow Arfield, Barr and Scobbie to develop further, hopefuly to command decent transfer fees and fund further player development.
I am not calling for John Hughes to be promoted to Celtic manager but I'd love to see him have a youth development role. He is looking like Scotland's answer to Dario Gradi.
Well done Falkirk, your football play was a joy to watch.
And well done Celtic for a very effective performance against that team.
-
GL2 :- As PFAyr mentioned I'll be very nervous as kick off approaches tomorrow butI honestly do think we have the beating of them.
Brian :- If the trend continues then we are due to take four from you next game though I'd settle for a last minute sclaffed shot going on off Mr Pressleys backside.
Kingho :- I'm sure they could be but as we will be in the C.L the chances of meeting them are very slim.
-
Well, you would have to go back a while to see such a low turn-out for a home league match that actually meant something.
It was so bad that thon Noel character decided he could move around the stadium and turned up in all four stands. Either that, or his Johnny Giles are playing up!
It was an enjoyable game with some decent football played on the deck, particularly by Falkirk. Their No.7 was a bit of a handful running at our defence.
Big positives for us tonight were Ryan Conroy, Skoosh and some brilliant finishing by Aiden. He just keeps adding to his game...sign on the dotted line of this new contract, wee man!

Am I the only person who feels just a little bit sorry for JVOH tonight?
I thought the big man put in a decent shift tonight, but nothing seemed to fall for him.

Dick Byrne
He only had one good chance that I remember and that hit the side netting, seems to be caught flat footed to often. Needs to gets better and starts scoring some goals.

I think it's option 2.
It's logical to conclude that the less committed supporter will gice a match like this a miss and if that is the case then it also logical to believe that it is the 'part-time' supporter who is more likely to boo.

HE NEEDS A REST.

I am with Dick Byrne. Any relation to Alec?
I thought JVOH played better tonight.
He needs a run to increase his confidence and grab a couple of goals.
The referees seem to make a point of penalising him every time he contests a ball either in the air or on the ground.

One for the early birds to discuss.
Below are a few interesting stats regarding the Champions league.
We continually hear about our poor performances in Champions League away fixtures ( tell us something we don't know)
1 point from 45 available is disastrous and as a % comes in at a whopping 2.2%
The away performances of the FoD is the yardstick that we are expected to aspire to.
4 wins and 6 away draws is good and gives them 18/72 points = 25%.
If we get called on our poor away performances why then do the FoD not get it in the neck over their awful home record?
We have won 12 of our 15 home games .
The FoD have won only 7 games despite having played 23 home ties .
Our total points haul (home & away ) is 43%
The FoD trail by a country mile with 34%
I wonder why we don't hear this mentioned?

Tinytim,
if you haven't left yet and you have the time in Dubai,(and if you are still fit enough and young enough)I suggest you try the water park(think it is called the Wild Wadi)at the back of the Jumeira Beach Hotel.
Superb fun,you don't even have to climb up the stairs to get to the top of the rides, you get pushed up by jets of water.
And for a drink and a bite to eat,I would suggest the Irish Village, which is underneath the stand in the tennis stadium.
Great food and music and a great setting.
And if you wish to see the games,go to Dubliners, where the Dubai Hoops meet and drink and be merry(perhaps that's no the place for you, right enough)
And I hope you enjoy your trip to Perth.
Would have liked to have had a beer or twenty with you.
If you wish to see any games here, the Celtic club meets in Rosie O'Gradies in the Northbridge district for the games.
Hope you enjoy your stay here.
Good place.

Onlooker, that would make Celtic appear better than Rangers in European competition, even if it is only restricted to from when Rangers began their run of ten leagues in eleven years.
We couldn't possibly have that slant in Scottish "newspapers".
Could we?
Particularly if it is correct and factual.

Kano - I was in Bali a couple of years ago. There are a few sports bars near where you are staying. If memory serves, its not that close to the airport. Maybe about half an hour in a taxi. Most of the bars have the Australian sports channels, so you might be lucky. Enjoy!

I think its only right and fair to admit I was very wrong about Aiden McGeady. I was one of those who advocated selling McGeady for whatever money we could get for him in the summer on the back of the fact that he wasnt improving.
I was wrong and he has improved a hundred fold and is currently the best player in out team. If he continues to develop the way he is our problem will be hanging on to him.
All this is why I am not manager of Celtic.

Didn't make it up last night- too far and Shoeless Joe is still thawing out after Saturday. Can't complain about 4-0 but I'm a bit surprised that 'freshening up a team that looks jaded' consisted of dropping O'dea and JJ, both of whom have looked full of running in their recent performances.
Pleased OLSPLegend Ryan Conroy got a run-out.
As for ESno- I think a lot of the support now think he's been treated unfairly in terms of the booing[ which was at its worst in the Hearts Cup game- small crowd, but willing to make the effort to turn up] .Sitting in sect114 amongst the diehards on Saturday I heard a few grumbles, but no boos.
Oh, and listening to BBCScotland in the car this morning the Celtic result came after Liverpool and Chelsea in the CL.
Anyways, allons enfants de la Patrie..
-
Watched the highlights last night and thoroughly enjoyed them. Magnificent performance from McGeady, not just the goals(scored with both feet) but also the vision and accurate passing. From the highlights, Scott Brown seemed to be making some great runs and Hartley played well. Loved the fast turn of feet by Sno, he showed some deft touches. Lets keep him for another year and see how he progresses.
All in all, a good nights work
-
Good game! Falkirk looked as good as Shahktar at keeping the ball but the Bhoys looked fresh again. :-)
The Sno booers must have stayed in to watch Liverpool.
Latapy or Sno, who had the longer hair?
-
Re my post at 00.44 - I'm not saying that JVOH had a good game or even necessarily that he deserves his place in the starting line up.
I just felt that following a few weeks where his workrate had been called into question, last night we saw a much more committed performance.
I'm afraid I still heard some isolated boos last night when Evander came on. Actually, by the pitch of their voices it sounded as if they came from some of our younger "supporters" - not sure if that makes it better or worse. Fair play to the majority of the crowd who got right behind the big man & gave him great encouragement.
Kano & tinytim - enjoy your travels.
Well said, Michael Collins.
-
Now we just need to wait for "Big 'Eck to swoop to snatch McGeady from under Celts' noses" stories.... "On-form Aiden McGeady will be leaving Celtic in the January transfer window, exercising a little known clause in his contract that allows him to leave if I am having difficulty thinking of something to write. Big 'Eck's eagle-eyed lawyers were the first to spot this clause that threatens to rob Celtic of what slim chances they have of finishing second to Rangers... In an interview with an obscure Nepalese sports paper McGeady confirmed that he would jump at the chance of playing for Big 'Eck - something he missed out on when he disgracefully opted to play for Ireland instead of Scotland..."
-
Good performance last night when we played at a high tempo, which is why the team was freshened up in the manner it was. Four central defenders across the back is fair enough away from home when you need a physical presence but not so good when you have so much of the ball.
Aiden McGeady was a delight, his performance last night was reminiscent of the Slovak magician in his pomp.
-
The BBC are most definitely getting worse.
We all know that there love for all things Orc has always been there but now they are just Michael.
As if the commentary wasn't bad enough last night they seem to want to have a wee dig at every opportunity on their web-site as well.
In their report titled "Strachan acclaim for McGeady show" it looks as though they are going to get through the whole report will go by without incident until this -
"A sparsely populated Celtic Park looked less than half full after the champions dropped points against Hearts and St Mirren and Strachan was pleased with his team's reaction."
Now the ground did look as though it wasn't full but it didn't look less than half full either.
Then you go into the BBC's match report and scroll down to the match stats and surprise, surprise the official match attendance is 54,291.
So unless PH's capacity has suddenly increased to 110,000 without anyone noticing I'd say the laptop loyal are up to their old tricks again.
I'm away now as my poor keyboard looks as though it broken now!

ianiniesi - Snoey had the longer hair! Latapy was like Evander's mini-me!
Well done to Ryan Conroy, looked much more comfortable than either Hartley or O'Dea in the left-back spot. Would like to see him in there for the next couple of games.
-
Len Brennan, Celtic Park was less than half full last night, I would guess in the region of 24,000. Celtic publish "paid ticket" sales only for games, which is the figure commonly referred to as "attendance" and includes all season ticket sales.
-
Michael Collins, well done for coming back and saying so, there are more out there who are yet to recant.

I'm probably not alone in missing last night's game due to the SFA cancelling the original Saturday fixture. What chance of compensation from the SFA?...SFA?

cmon chris, it was for the benefit of scottish fitba!!!! ;-)
the stadium was half full last night and the boos for evander were
evident just b4 he took the field of play, not around me i might add in section 408 north stand upper. it sounded as though it was coming from the "rangers end".
we were in 2 minds about going last night after enduring saturdays terrible display (5 of us in total usually) but as the game got nearer it was a no brainer. but something i did notice was that a lot of the moaners and whingers (a hell of a lot) were not evident. part time supporters suck, big style.
im glad we went to support our team. a great display by all who played. fair enough some are not great but at least they put in the effort which is a lot more than can be said for all the "supporters" who never bothered turning up.
