Two final day targets for Celtic

With just over six hours of the transfer window remaining, Celtic are still actively looking to add to their squad. I expect Barry Robson to complete formalities and to be announced this evening, which will leave Celtic pursuing one further matter.

A big pat on the back to all at Celtic - for once a totally satisfactory transfer window.

We got the striker we so desperately needed.

    We got a right back.

We got another midfielder (not so good), but he can play left back which may be useful.

Now onwards and upwards to 3 in a row....

P.S. Anybody heard anything about Jiri going back to Russia?

looks like the "nominal fee" was agreed then.

And even more laughable they could not even get to the end of the programme without that clown of a presenter revealing that the move had fallen through?

Did someone just whisper in his ear? Just at the sport section? Just in time?

    Amazing, only in Scotland...

Riquelme went back to Boca Juniors in the summer on loan and reached an agreement with Villarreal in November allowing him to sign a permanent deal with Boca in January.

RR need to start checking their information.

Just sent this complaint to the BBC.

"I realise the BBC has a difficult job trying to be impartial. However, yet again your "flagship" Scottish news programme has shown considerable bias in its sports section. On a last day of the football transfer window, Hibernian, Heart of Midlothian, Celtic & Motherwell all signed new players. Your reporter chose to begin his piece by telling us about a footballer that Rangers DIDN'T sign.

I appreciate that BBC Sport's Scotland are littered with ex-Rangers employees, but just once couldn't they report the FACTS first and leave the breast beating and teeth grinding about their beloved to the end?"

FYI - The last time I complained to them (about Chick Young as it happens) they did send me a response ......

    Hail Hail

    BF,

I doubt the Guzan deal would rear it's head again. Going by comments he's made today he seems to see his future back at Chivas USA for this season.

Isn't real Radio famous for its wind ups? Never listened to it myself.

I'm not surprised Guzman didn't get a work permit. In fact I questioned this when we were going for him. Just wanted to point out that I got one thing right!

Find it a bit odd were hearing jarosik has left but no details of any fee. Also with regard to Robson, where is he going to play, I hope its left back cover, could be a good attacking left back with a decent free kick.

Wonder if Guzan's panel was the same bunch of Tims that approved Koki?
    That would teach him....

I really hope we can snag an experienced centre half, the whole Robson deal has left me a little perplexed, I thought WGS said this week that we would only spend money on players were there is a chance of sell on value yet we're spending a significan sum on a 29 year old!
