At last :-) - time to hang up my boots
-
2 -1 HT in ET.
Utd scored with the only good football of the first period.
15 minutes to go ...

congratulations Larrybhoy you deserve all the plaudits
-
Burke should be carded for diving
-
Paul - I've only ever had the odd drop of rain on me in the North Upper, thankfully - what was the extent of the damage ?
Would have thought it would be closed if there is any prospect of debris falling down on spectators
-
Did anybody see Chick Young's BBC column where he described Lawwell as "An awful man"?
Terrible comments to be associated with the BBC and you'd be hard pushed to find similar comments about the Mint.
If Murray has 80% of the media in his pocket, where are our 20% hiding?

From previous,
I do want the Fod to lose. It would mean that the juggernought that they have become have burst a tyre, and are about to pull into a lay by to think again. Once they lose today, they may get into that losing feeling.
That’s how I feel about it – get them beat.
I'm scared to post this off incase I cause them to score :-)
-
Busbackside Boydchenko kicks Wilkie in the face and complains about a foul called against him, should have been booked.
-
Kerr seems determined to give them the ball
-
Fattyichenko scores again
-
Pastyface - Cheers, I am truly honoured - I would like to thank my speedy fingers, my family for supporting me through the hard times........ zzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Boyd equalises again. Keeper doesn't claim a cross and Boyd scores from 2 yards.
-
HHBhoy....Completely agree.
Paul67 suggested that Rangers biggest asset right now was momentum. Two successive defeats and an end to their treble "dream" could well put paid to that - as well as injuries, suspensions and fatigue.
We still have to do our bit though and I'm worried that with so little of the season left, Strachan still hasn't found the best balance in midfield.
-
corner to the mob

Erm
Did anyone else notice the commentator shouting YES when they scored?
Disgrace.

Burkey off for Whittaker
Hopefully when this game ends his hair will get a hefty chop
-
Free kick Utd in a dangerous position. 2 mins to go.
-
Once again no yellow cards shown for their post goal celebrations!! -what's that all about??
-
could we not have let them have Barry Robson for just one game. Their free kicks have been useless
-
Corner to the mob again
1 min to go
-
Corner Rangers on 120 minutes.
Comes to nothing.
2 -2. Penalties!
-
final whistle - penalty kicks to come
-
Penalties
-
Oh well. Pens it is.
We should take heart from how badly they've played today.
-
I think Rangers will probably win this now but I hope not. They're so jammy though it's annoying.
At least, even if they win they're still going to be shattered.
-
Utd were the better team over the course of the game. One bad mistake at the end of 90 mins cost them the win.
Pity there's not a replay!
-
what are those 5 stars on their jersey all about. Spelling Bees?
-
Sean
I hope they're even more shattered by defeat.

Scum win
-
United and the ref blew it
-
Hunbelievable.
That momentum stuff better be rubbish.
-
Glad I switched off.
-
An undeserved win for the ugliest, luckiest, scummiest, negativist, anti-footballist..... etc., team around.
Utd should have had a oenalty at 1 - 0.
And McGregor was off his line for both saves.
Bitter? Me?
-
Rubbish
Let's hope their league play is similar to today and they'll stutter.

Cannot watch them on TV. Remind me of Orwell's image of the boot
stamping on a human face.
Up to us to stop them.
-
Dundee will be very up for revenge when Rangers visit them in early April. I'd rather have Rangers win the CIS and Dundee get them back by beating them in a league game. Here's hoping.
-
Completely undeserved. Dundee Utd were the better team, but continually shot themselves in the foot when composure was called for.
Kenny Clark - job done.
The hun's trophy drought is over. Here's hoping a longer, more agonising trophy drought starts for them as of now.
-
They truly are the Devil's eleven!!
Gutted after that - thought the Arabs were going to do it!!
That back-pass to give away the 1st equaliser will haunt that guy Kerr forever.
So close too -just wasn't to be.
-
Kenny Clark the culprit. Utd can consider themselves lucky they got to 120 minutes. That was their only chance of being awarded a penalty.
-
The better team lost but Dundee United didnt know what to do when they were in front.
They seemed to lose composure and their passing game went out the window
-
Why was Bazza not going to take a penalty? No bottle?
-
If anything that game solidifies my belief that we will win the league. We will win our games at home. All we need is a draw against them at the Home of Badgers
3 in a row
-
Clark denied United a stonewall penalty as already mentioned. 2-0 game over and he knew that. Why did I watch it? Soon as it got to pens knew it was set up for fat Boyd to be the hero.......Fek........

-
no point in saying any more.....the desperation of scottish officialdom now extends to depriving the mortally ill of fair play
-
The Dundee Unt midfield showed how to beat them. And they'll have 2 shots at revenge in the SPL run in.
-
Ah well Mutton on the losing side as Man City beats Spurs 2-1
-
But we keep being told Kenny Clark is a Celtic fan.
And that these things even themselves out.
I look forward to the penalties we will get in all three games aginst them.
PS - Barry has no bottle! Captain not volunteering to lead by example? Shameful.
-
Disappointing for us but they are the FOD!
Never mind the result, Dundee United showed what can be done. The BBC commentator should be more impartial.
-
miserable
poor Eddie Thomson...it would make you cry
K Clark...another member of the cheating/masonic/establishment/pro hun brotherhood ....anybody who thinks otherwise is sadly deluded
shameful
-
Mineshafters, Towel Throwers etc
3 victories coming our way against Rangers.
Hopefully Gary Caldwell, Evander Sno and Stephen McManus score the winners...and Gordon signs a 7 year contract.

my wife who knows nothing of football asked me if the commentator was a rangers fan...says it all ....he certainly sounded like one
-
Quintruple Jobby (anything stronger gets deleted)! I think that would have made a massive difference to the league title race. That would have really burst their rancid, stinking bubble. They are so bloody lucky. As if Thursday's 1-0 drubbing wasn't enough.
Well played United. The only consolation for us this evening is their supporters will be feeling 10 times sicker than us, hard as that is to imagine.
-
Why did Kerr shake Durrants hand on the way up for his Loosers Medal?...
o1bhoy
-
That penalty in the 2nd half was as blatant as you could ever imagine, yet nothing given. At that point, United were on top and Rangers were getting frustrated and running out of ideas. It was a huge decision and he knew it - he was standing in the perfect position to see it, so why was it not given?
Just can't believe that happened, the poorer team on the day won. Two awful goals for United to lose. Unfortunately, they seem to be getting gifts at the moment when they're not creating anything themselves. The momentum theory certainly rings true. That's both the Bremen tie and this one that they won not through creating anything themselves, but by the opposition who completely outplayed them, gifting them the game.
Surely this can't continue, but I'm certainly very worried for the rest of the season...

Thanks!

I would like to hear Clark's explanation for not giving a stonewaller.
That does it I am never going to buy anymore shoes from his Shoe Shop
-
Once again that sorry excuse for a football team have a ref assisted win. Although there are major signs that they are starting to crack under the pressure of all these games! Hail Hail.
ps Well done brave barry for not taking a pen. What a disgrace
-
To be honest I missed the penalty incident. Any links anybody? Assuming it's as blatant as described will Kenneth be as honest as he was when Neil Lenon was denied his stonewaller at Ibrox. DON'T APOLOGISE KENNETH. JUST GET IT RIGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
-
Ladies and gentlemen, mark my words, if that is the quality of the opposition, then we'll win this league by 4 clear pts - mibee being a tad conservative there though - having scored more and conceded less to add insult to injury.
And to all those who whitter on about their defence - aye right!

Congratulations to a team who have won sweet fa for the last 2 seasons. A CIS cup win. Fantastic. Fantastic for Walter and Ally, for Boydychenko....sorry, Lent is the time for ecumenism. But I do want to congratulate Mr Clark. He should have a big sip from that trophy.
Have you ever witnessed a more "stick-on" penalty ?! Neil Lennon would argue he has (but technically, he was a victim). How is it that Lee McCulloch manages not only to last 90 minutes but the whole of the match. His blatant kicks at Flood deserved a red. He's not just late, he's intentionally late. You can see it in his face.
My sympathies are with DUtd. They played well. Unfortunately they didn't threaten the goal enough in the 2nd half. But I thank them most of all for this - a timely reminder that the mob are pretty rubbish and are there for the taking.
Bring it on!
-
Paul 67 you must be hard up for articles if you are reduced to the roof physically falling in .I am more concerned about the team roof ,I never thought I would say this,Bobo must play ,we need to be physical and brave or it's all over, real test now for Gordon.
-
Barcabhoy @ 17:51
Very strong words mate, but absolutely correct. Perhaps Mr Thomson will have equally strong words to say in public - after all, he has been robbed of his deserved victory.
-
Did anyone else notice the commentator shouting YES when they scored the second?
I'm starting to think I'm crazy
-
Dad my Mum said you have to come straight Home from the Match, or She's not letting you go to Lisbon.

There have been a couple of references above on CQN to a BBC column authored by Chick Young.
I've just read it and am astonished that the blatant bias against our club has just been raised at least two notches.
This is the link for the fud's column. My understanding is that the word 'fud' is acceptable on CQN. It certainly has been in the past and I hope Paul67 will take a lenient view in the circumstances if he has changed his view.
Can you imagine the outcry if Graham Spiers had described David Murray as an awful man?
Ironically enough, after the fud wrote a surprisingly decent article after the tragic death of Phil O'Donnell, I was the first to post a link, subsequently 'headlined' by Paul67.
-
Quote from the Guardian's minute-by-minute match report:
Rangers: the quintessential British club. That's the slogan on a banner running across the front of the Rangers end. What do they mean by British? Insufferable and pompous?
Amongst other things mate...
-
As the great Johnny Lydon said "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?"
Cue Anarchy with decisions like that.
-
And their description of the penalty:
53 min: A couple of hectic minutes for Kalvenes, right there. Cuellar brushes him off the ball in his own area; it should have been a penalty, as the big galoot's shoved him right over! It would only have been more obvious if Barry Ferguson was on all fours behind the Dundee United player in order to assist the comedy fall. The ref isn't having any of it, for some reason.
-
geebee1978
I think Chico was describing PL as "an awful man" in a Dick Emery sort of way (There's one for the older viewer!!).
I don't think he was literally decribing him as awful.
Today was another bad day for us.
Had we won that game on penalties like they did we would have been glorifying our resilience, tenacity and mental strength.
I cannot believe how people on here can write them off so easily.
Frank
-
Sorry, I meant "penalty".
-
There are two sides to everyones brain.
One side is run emotion, and the other on intellect.
The thinking side of my brain believes that the Darnel will win the league.
This is not a stupid conclusion at this point in time.
Check the bookies odd's.
The emotional part of my brain has not thrown in the towel.
I still live in hope ,despite thinking that it is unlikely, that we will win the league.
I am applying unbiased logic.
I am not letting my love of Celtic cloud my thinking.
I still hope and pray that we see the comeback of all comebacks.
-
BBC National news shows the match highlights with penalty incident. BBC Scotland show highlights without penalty incident. :-)
-
Chick young must be asked what he means by that statement
libelous and defamatory ...come on Celtic get after this reptile
-
X .
Bang on.
-
This was one of our targets in the Jan window. Hope we sign him in the summer.
Taye Taiwo

I do hate rangers and all they stand for; so, I guess that clouds my judgement big time but can anyone explain to me how the referee did not give a penalty to Dundee Und when Cuellar keelhauled the man in the box? We're told we're paranoid but decisions like that seem to be handed to them on a plate. We have had some stonewall penalties denied us this season but THAT ranks with the best of them. Utterly unbelievable decision by the official.
-
Frank, if we had won that game in that manner, with that assistance, there would be the mother of all inquests going on right now.
They are resilient, like a weed. Tenacious, like a parasite. Mentally strong? Let's see...
-
tinytim ...
we know you think rangers will win the league...you remind the rst of us about that in almost every article that Paul posts...doesn't matter if the topic has nothing to do with who will win the league....
we get it !! you think Rangers will win the league....
now is there any chance you could drop it for the rest of this season...there is a very fine line between repetition and tedium .....
