we are certainly closer to 10 in a row thanthem.
-
No -I see I didn't!!
Yip I think that must be a record -and IMHO never to be surpassed!!
Enjoy the moment!!
Trust it will not be that last in the next few days!!
-
6o'the clock
No, thought blogger was broke though. 11 in a row will do me down to the ground.
I see Scott Brown got a wallop for his troubles tonight.
Could have bet the mortgage on one of the bhoys getting injured.

Pictures say it so much better than words.
The players going on to that pitch this Saturday represent

Don't know about the rest, but I am looking forward to the game this weekend. Haven't been on for a while, don't know the balance of opinion, but I can't wait.
Hope some people take the opportunity to redeem themselves.
And if you're going to get booked, make sure you give them a belter.
-
mahe - Here!! -thought you had gone off to bed?? - guess you want to savour your time in the spotlight a bit longer -heh!!
I hope we're as quick off the mark come Staurday afternoon??!!
Mon the Hoops!!

You are psychic Paul!! I was just thinking the same thing. How I long to see a few blue losers,
There they are, avoiding their worlkload. Wouldn´t that be a lovely twist to that old hoary chestnut work ethic.
Mahe Ma Mahe Mahe,
Mahe Ma Mahe Mahe,
Heheheh Celtick!!

I'm old enough to just enjoy having a laugh at the cheats.
They (collectively) know what they are. Cheats.
I;ve worked beside many of them for some years now. I now "Boss" them. Changed days.
Loving it.
-
Maybe's better the bhoys played a real game than training.
The title is ours.
-
EDB - let's hope we can "boss" a few more of the this Saturday!!
-
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my friends and family for their loyal support and unwavering trust in my assertion that one day......, just one day.... the time will come when traffic on cqn slows to a crawl, and a lightning fingered ordinary joe from the back streets would take that chance, and prod home a 1st, second, third and fourth. Then, never fearing the ridicule of unseemly interruption to a winning streak, would have the courage - nay the boldness and audacity, to go further than anyone else dared to go with a stream of consecutive posts both random and insightful, rallying his fellow comrades not only with his words but with his shining example of how far we can go if, when the time comes, we accept the invitation to greatness, and the burden of boldness, and venture forth into the unknown with only the goodwill of our peers to support us when the time comes.
Now if only the bhoys take that leap, that bold step when faced with adversity, I will be proud not only of their efforts, but of the undoubted success which will follow.
Your friend

-
we need another...
We hit our 2XX posts limit quick enough; I'm about to go on a comment cull.
-
They are a well organised team, but are they organised enough to win the league without:
1. The silent complicentness of Burley - Scotland Coach or Rangers sympathysor? just what is your priority George?
2. The referees; Oh for a foreign ref who understood and implemented the rules of the game.
3. The referees with the cahonies enough to call a bear hug a bearhug - Carlos Cuellar - is it just me or is that a penalty in any other league ?
Can we beat them convincenly? if we cant then the refs will surely beat us.
You know, I thought J Reids appointment would have given us some bite. John Reid vs Jon Mc Vicar or John Reid vs Gordon Smith. Have I hoped for too much. Had I hoped that a battler would be outspoken, would make headlines or a least ructions where so far we have had nothing. Are Celtic playing the long game or rolling over to biased bigoted 'supremacy' of ' the people'
We are 'the people' has there ever been a more despicable chant?
-
My bad paul, are you on a limit to coax blogger through the hard times? Don't worry, it's late and as my posts proved, naebodies here.
I'll stop if you want, though.
-
Paul67 :- If as you say rests are for losers I assume Celtic will be needing plenty of rest after the game on Sat. Meanwhile the winners will go on picking up multiple silverware.
On a more serious note I can nderstand the point you are making but I don't think this compares with the Lyon game, at that time it left Rangers without a game for 11 days, this time it will be a weeks gap and I feel that at this time of the season that rest could make all the difference especially towards the end of what could be a close strength sapping game.
-
Hi.
Long time lurker.
Just a wee comment. Not sure if anyone else has remarked on this yet.
I kept hearing on various radio phone ins tonight that the Scotland doctor examined the players from rangers absent from the scotland squad and confirmed that they were indeed injured.
In any other circumstances you would assume that this confirmed the validity of their injuries - however no-one seems to have noticed that Prof Hillis the scotland doc was the rangers doc for most of Smith's first reign at ibrox.
Nothing like a man on the inside.
-
Barry Bottler should be stripped of the Scotland captaincy forthwith. He was fit last weekend and will be fit this weekend. For a captain to treat any game with such disdain is a disgrace.
Bit of course nothing will be said.
-
A win is a must Saturday no other way to paint it!! They have enjoyed a good season so far and its time for us to bring them back down to earth and produce a performance we as fans deserve and GS and his troops can produce but not consistently have shown!!
GS job is on the line Saturday win and he may be on course for 3 in a row. Lose and I think he will feel he has let the fans down and his tenure may end in the summer??
Find it odd we have not got anyone in on a Bosman this year or even been linked to anyone when summer contracts are up any one have any insight to players we may be going after??
-
Ed,
whats your view on your teams request to extend the season, do you think its justified ???
-
Edward
should continue to mention your considered and continued comments are more than an integral part of this blog.
-
Paul67 - I presume you were joking about doing a "comment cull" due to the 200 limit on the blog, but given that there is such a limit, why do some posters insist on starting every comments page with their utterly puerile attempts at being first? Quite often these posts occupy up[ to a dozen posts.
Also, on the same basis, why do posters submit comments such as "blogger xyz - you have mail"? If they have mail, they will find it when they open their mailbox. When the postman drops a birthday card through my letter box, my son doesn't phone me and say "Dad - you have mail". Such posts simply turn the blog into a clique.
So Paul67 - If you want to have a cull, start with these 2 examples, and maybe more of the supposed 200 limit will be taken up with genuine discussion posts.
-
IJR,
that was a waste of a post lol
-
canamalar
kind of with you on that one
you've got mail.
-
Canamalar :- Much as I would like to gain any advantage going I don't think it would be right, I could maybe see it if it didn't affect any placings in the league bit this year is too close for that I think. I'm against it for a couple of reasons not least being if we do win the league I don't want folk to be able to say it was only managed because we had the league extended.
-
Whitedoghunch :- Thanks but it takes two to tango and I find that the quality of a lot of posts on here make it enjoyable to argue and debate with the posters.
-
I J Reilly
Paul wasn't joking, as he slashed 10 of my 11 in a row streak from the comments list. For those lucky enough to see those posts, they would I hope have found some rays of sunshine in a dark cynical world Ignatious, and if so, then that's good enough for me.
I would however take issue with you describing poster's lighthearted comments at the start of a blog as "puerile", as I can see no harm in some of the banter and sunsequent follow up comments.
I may be wrong, but I believe that the 200ish post limit is a fairly recent thing, as I recall participating in blog comment trails as large as 600 or 700 comments long in the not too distant past. As such, some of us still partake in the odd tangential diversion.
When you get out of the right side of bed tomorrow, maybe you will have a different view from the "Victor Meldrew", "Sunday Post letters page" style of comment you posted earlier.
I hope we find you well friend. Remember, life can be beautiful too.

-
IJR :- I hope you don't mind me flinging in my own tuppenceworth on this, yes I can see how some posts may seem trivial or a private message that may be better delivered in another way. However on the time I've been posting on here the blog has evolved from a purely footbal orientated one with subjects as diverse as politics and finance, it has also introduced several folk to like minded posters. I think this adds to the blog and gives it a casual friendliness that no other site seems to capture. I wouldn't say it's a matter of cliques as almost all invites to social meetings have an open door policy and this has lead to more than a couple of social and charitable events. The problem with the 200 post limit is only a recent one and will soon be rendered irrelevant when Paul changes over. I think Paul has built something very unusual on this site and would be wary that too big a change in the way it's controlled would take away from the overall flavour of the site.
-
I guess I'm just amazed that the smaller team supporters (who generally support Scotland more than Celtic or rangers fans) don't get infuriated by how blatant it is!
Rant over - back to lurking in the shadows.
-
IJR
It is something of a CQN tradition to claim first post on a thread.
The 200 limit can be overcome by us......
oops are you in any of the cliques?
Information like this is only provided by clique members to clique members.
OK I jest. Check the comments form for post 200 onwards.
I am combining my next post into this one to save a post and stop Paul from being wakened in the middle of the night, when Blogger sends an alert to his "Crackberry" telling him the limit is close to being exceeded and he needs to post another article.
Does anyone have an injury update on Celtic players? Which other teams would I care about?
I assume Boyd didn't suffer any injuries or strains as he completed his 15 minute cameo appearance.

I believe players that are still involved in European competition whether its early or late season SHOULD BE EXCUSED the farce that are international friendlies.
Still Darren Fletcher was able to make it today and I imagine the Man U training ground will be a pretty lonely place this week as the Red Stars travel the globe for the respective countries.
There's class and then there's Glasgow Rangers Fitba' Club.
-
Kevtic :- And then behind them in second place are Celtic :-)
I hope you don't think I'm being pedantic but there is no such club as Glasgow Rangers, like your own team we don't have the city mentioned in our name.
In the spirit of the football trivia earlier no Glasgow team that has attained league status (10 I think) has had the name of the city in their name.
-
hunza rugly,
The smaller team suppoeters you refer to tend to parrot the media line of "o** f***" call offs.
Guilt by association...
-
logger gg,
an idea might be to try and bag the 200th post with a shout of "last", I like that, IJR would that be another post wasted ?
-
Ed,
I find your response to the extention issue refreshing as many of your peers would take it any way they can, including and not least your management team.
As for the glasgow thing is it not on your badge.

Gretna Last Rites
Gretna sack 22 players.
The administrator has made 22 Gretna players redundant.
The SPL must be made to share responsibility for their demise which will surely happen at the split.
Feigned concern from certain quarters when Celtic offered to host last Sunday's game has not helped.
The gate receipts were reduced considerably, possible by as much as 150k. (10k fans paying 15 pounds at the gate.)
All to ensure Celtic played another game so as not to disadvantage the "Ungulates." (I've been dying to use that word since I came across it last week."

as the name Rangers is almost as common as the strip they wear it is important to distinguish which brand.
How is the song book coming on?
135 years in the making and only one club song which still insists on mentioning Dublin, the hub of the football world.

Here's your Herald link - your post may be too wide?
Just watched the USA's goals v Poland. Artur I think played the whole game. First goal, off a post, no blame. Second a free header eight yards out from a set-piece - no real blame. Third a free-kick though the wall - no blame. Artur will be fine.
BBC commentator in the Scotland game expressed surprise the Celtic players weren't subbed - yes, even the BBC commentator. John Collins in the studio, carefully carving a cosy little media career out for himself, said the defenders should be ok, and that players are used to playing twice a week these days - 'absolutely' added Dougie Donnelly, with no hint of irony.
-
Canamalar :- It just has Rangers Football Club round the outside of the badge with the motto Ready underneath the lion.
Kevtic :- I'm sure your own club aren't the only Celtic nor the only ones to play in hoops, though I may be wrong on the second point, and OK I probably was being a little pedantic.
On the Dublin reference in Follow Follow I've given my views on that before and although I seem to be a minority of one on here over it I don't see anything wrong with it.
-
So Edward, when the song goes 'there's not a team like the Glasgow Rangers', it is technically correct as the team does not exist? :)
-
You are 100% correct in that there is no such team, ironically the nearest I can think to that is the fact that to have a show apparently you need that non existant entity Glasgow Celtic to be there :-)
-
Ed

Help appreciated.

Ok... late night crew (it can't be good for my health that most of the time I'm on these days the majority of posters are logged on from America!) a small favour to ask:
I'm in the middle of a marketing communications project at uni, promoting a club night (Clatty Pats) in Glasgow's West End, the best group wins a trip to Boston - which is nice.
Sooooo... as part of our master-plan we've made a Bebo page to promote the night, I'm trying to get as many page views as possible before the launch so it would be great if you would click on this link to visit the page: Clatty Pats club night.
For those of you who may have experienced the original Clatty Pats night or are interested in attending, the launch is tomorrow night in The Venue at the Oran Mor...
The Bebo page should be getting updated tomorrow after we finish editing a small video viral we're using, that is if anyone wants to see me make a complete erse of myself!
Thanks!

Well my guess is they will be feeling fitter, healthier and truer than Barry Ferguson, Christian Dailly, Lee McCulloch and Allan McGregor
AND I know the ghuys I would want to depend on!!!!!!!

There's something I don't quite get here. Prompted by the Daily Record, the Scottish Media are feeding the world of Scottish Football with the idea that Celtic are rushing to plan a post-season tour of Japan in order to avoid a possible season extention.
But surely it is only Rangers who want an extention, ie an extention to allow THEM to complete THEIR fixtures without recourse to playing 2 midweek games in one week etc.
No matter what happens, Celtic will comfortably finish their SPL fixtures on the scheduled completion date, regardless of whether or not Rangers succeed in acquiring an extention. So why would Celtic going to Japan at the end of Celtic's season impinge on Rangers' extended season?
Or am I indeed missing something?
Ho Hum.

"I don't want folk to be able to say it was only managed because we had the league extended."
Facts are-you only managed to be where you are just now because of extensive CHEATING .
Which includes using EVERY underhand trick available.
Not a lot of dignity involved.
-
I turned forty a few months ago and never in my lifetime has the media seemed so pro-Rangers and anti-Celtic as it does at the moment, even allowing for the fact that I am probably because of CQN more aware than previously. In fact I would go further. I feel as if my club are under siege from every direction - authorities, officials and media. Please, please, please Celtic shove it down all their throats on Saturday. I understand this is Stuart Dougal's last season making Saturday almost certainly his last Celtic-Rangers match. I am in no doubt that if Rangers require a helping hand they will get one, in addition to all the less obviously crucial decisions.
-
Malone19 (3.28)
Done my turn. Surprisingly the IT Nazi's at work allowed me to look at Bebo, but not at Yachoob !! Why not relaunch Clatty's in The Viper (or whatever it's called now?) Surely the age on the door is 21's in Oran Mor too?
And is it the same bloke that owns both places?

Can’t agree, Paul. I think we’ve been severely disadvantaged this week. George Burley has acted in concert with G. Smith and W. Smith to undermine Celtic’s league title chances.
What I don’t understand is how our club allows this to happen.
Messrs Lawwell and Reid, speak up, I can’t hear you.
-
A couple of weeks ago a game was postponed at Fir Park and the First Team played a practice match instead. WGS said it had been worthwhile as the players had used up some pent up energy. Last night half the first team represented their countries while we suspect that another teams players highlighted niggling injuries to persuade the Scotland medical team to pull them from an international friendly fixture. Which team is raring to go? Come on Celtic
-
From a Few threads ago - Paul67 said that 'Zsa Zsa' initiated the campaign to extend the season.
I'm fairly new to this blog - Paul (or anyone) who is Zsa Zsa.
-
• Paul
I hope I have read your intentions correctly.
I have really enjoyed and admired your campaign over the last week. Making sure all of the bias and injustices we have felt over the years, are fully brought into the public domain in the run up to the game. Reminding the old media that the eyes of the world are on us and are aware of any dubious decision making or manipulation that may occur, both on and off the field, in the next few weeks.
I hope it has the effect of rallying all the Blog members to the cause of positivity over the result on Saturday, and the rest of the season. Mustering of a siege mentality does not always work but I am fully in favour of it over the next few weeks.
My dearest hope is that Gordon follows your lead, and uses all your points to infuse the team with the right belief. You seem to have got the retaliation in first before the usual stories emanate from the Dark side.
C’mon the hoops.
-
Again I agree with the sentiment of your article, Paul. I personally would have preferred if we had withdrawn our players from the Scottish team. Mind you, that tackle Gary Caldwell made might just be the inspiration he meeds for Saturday. That was world class.
You have really excelled yourself this week, Paul. Keep it coming. We need to have some pro-Celtic material as the old media have given up any attempt at even-handedness, e.g. the continual mention of O.. F... withdrawals from the Scottish team.
Oh, I DO want us to win on Saturday in spite of everything being done to do us down. Come on Celtic.
WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED.

I don't think they're owned by the same people, Viper is owned by the G1 Group, not sure. The project is for Oran Mor through their marketing agency DADA.
Personally from what I hear of the original night I don't know why they want to reinvent it. I think they're just looking for a loyal crowd... 18 or over for Oran Mor.

Oran Mor is owned by the same gentleman who has the wonderful Lismore in Partck.
A Glasgow Businessman -I could say more.
You are correct about the old Clatty's.
Why the new owner did not buy the property and rights to the name seems a little careless.

Paul,
Did you get a ticket for Saturday?
Who else is going and is anyone organising a wee CQN huddle at the roundabout at the Broomloan end?

If BEIJING CELT is aound, could we get in touch? I'm arriving in Beijing on Friday morning & wd appreciate any info if there is a bar which will show the game.

Good luck the Celts for Saturday.

malone19 - I used to have a student flat around the corner from Clatty's during the early to mid-eighties and Sunday nights were the best. Great music and plenty of, er, scenery! Used to be plenty of (student) nurses letting their hair down...hmmm, good times.
When I first went I remember that there was a full size stuffed camel outside the gents toilet and you had to duck under it's neck to go to the loo. A few years later, all that was left was the head which was mounted on the wall near it's old location.
So, don't forget the camel and the nurses....let's see you market that promotion!

Psychologically, Celtic will have the upper hand on Saturday. No two ways about it – everyone knows the Rangers lads should have been there for Scotland on Wednesday night.
Mick should ask Bazza straight out, in the tunnel before kick off, “what were you doing on Wednesday night”, followed by “..call yourself a true Scotsman do you?” or something along those lines.
All the hoop wearing Scots lads should take up this theme with them throughout the afternoon. The crowd could join in. It might just rattle them (surely they can’t feel good about themselves for abandoning their country on Wednesday).
This, I am sure will give us a definite psychological edge.
-
the recent tremors in the financial markets might be about to have fairly serious implications for football, and particularly here in the uk
things that we know to be true...Liverpool are struggling to refinace their debt and raise money for a new stadium....even if they get the amount secured the funding costs will be much greater than would have been the case 18 months ago, even 12 months ago.....this has ramifications for anyone wanting to rebuild their stadium or refinance their debt....such as possibly the new moonbeam stadium or MIH's £700 million..
the next thing we know is that £ has collapsed against the euro....by effectively 20% in the last few months....this makes signing players from countries who use the euro much more expensive and similarly UK clubs will be at a disadvantage over european clubs when it comes to paying wages.....the good news is if you are selling players to european clubs , you should be able to get a better price....
...i presume our scouting activities will be taking this state of financial affairs into account....eastern europe and africa look even better value than previously....
i would be surprised if we see many players this summer arriving from the major european leagues

hi paul/everyone
been reading this site since it started. about time i got myself an account so i can ad my tuppence worth (when i get the time !)
buttonbhoy at 26/03/08 23:43 made an interesting comment re: the scotland doctor. of course, you wont hear any of that in the press. its only us that do paranoia. And not only was he the doctor at the death star, but he is a rangers fan. a RIGHT rangers man.this is 100% undisputable fact. who is to say
he isn't helping out 1)an old friend and 2)and/or his team by saying these players that shamefully pulled out of the scotland game, are ahem, unfit ? ( and add add brhim hemdani to that list as well, read he pulled out the algirian squad) surley if they only had niggling injuries then they would have been declared fit ? no ? thats paranoia i hear cries of. ok, fair enough ( everone supports someone right ?)
ok. lets look at the media reaction. well what can i say. was it expected ? yip. the cardigan can do anything he likes. leave the nation in the lurch. thats ok its watties true calling, the team he lov..blah blah blah. curry favour with the top man at the sfa to get a leauge match postponed. thats ok too you see, its will help scotland with it european coefi..blah blah blah.during a game v hibs at the death star, charge out of his technical area, man handle an official, enter into the hibs area, and scream and ball obcenities ? uch, comon now. cuddly wuddly walter is feeling a we bit of presure, besides it was the hibs bench fault for wanting novo sent of...blah blah blah.
its a different story however for young aiden mcgeady isnt it, for choosing ( not strictly, scotland didnt want him) another country over scotland? how dare he turn his back. we are scotland. you should be houred, proud to play for YOUR country, walk thorugh walls, crawl a million miles( obviously that list doesn't include minor injuries). different story for aberdeen too isnt it ? no siree. they asked for a game to be postponed due to thier uefa cup comitments.did the scottish coeficient not matter there ? different story for strachan as well isnt it? a little hittler steward charges down a heck of a lot of stairs to harang point and scream at strachan at pittodrie. the ref coudnt wait to send strachan off. and the ban ? outragous. maybe gordon should put on a cardigan.
the irony is that, the ant hill mob believe they are THE scottish club, yet they have shown a blatant disregard for thier country.
me paranoid ?
there is one way to sort it. beat them on saturday afternoon. plain and simple. the will kick, cheat, dive, sing thier bile. you know the usual. But putting one more in the back of the net than them, will have me grinnig ear to ear, and give me a satisfaction that no matter what they do, we will always triumph.
-
HanSolo :- Perhaps if your team win it games against their biggest rivals and your players could learn to shut up and not give refs the excuse to book them you wouldn't need the constant search for excuses in advance in case you lose the title.
-
In the same vein as that advocated ny TORNACHILLES I would love it if our supporters on Saturday were to wave Scottish flags ! I know with our Irish roots this is unlikely but it would truly confuse the Ipox Immorals and the Laptop Loyal.
On anothe note, a Dundee Utd supporting pal of mine said the BBC radio (radio 5?)gave the missing Huns some stick. Anyone hear it? If so , what did they say?
I also agree with those who think that our approach in allowing our players to play for Scotland has given us a psychological advantage.Just think how you would feel if it were the other way round. We would think our team was scared and looking for any advantage. I know Ed and his Fellow Followers will argue that his mob have taken the professional, pragmatic approach but that is just rationalisation. Psychologically, I repeat, we have the high ground. Unarguably.
-
Tornachilles :- He can say all he likes to Mr Ferguson, where you get the idea that it would somehow put the Rangers players off I have no idea. You are playing against a team that has beaten you i the last three games we have met, turned you over on your own patch and kept a clean sheet against you. I think the psychological edge is more on our side.
As far as getting the crowd to make comments to them I'm fairly sure the way the game will be going and we will be singing that your own fans wont be heard :-)
-
Edward
Why do refs need an excuse to book Celtic players?
-
CelticFirst :- Apologies I worded that badly, my point was that more than a few Celtic bookings this year have been for mouthing off to the ref (I'm going by anecdotal eveidence from on here for this) and if the players didn't mouth off then they couldn't be booked for it. I don't have the figures but I wonder if any of the statto's on here could give the percentage of Celtic bookings that have been for dissent.
-
Ed,
have noticed a bit of edginess to your recent posts hope your not going to do a mad walt on us.
I think the result and the fact that we came through the game unscathed has caused more embarassment for the media and hun as I suspect they had scotland written off, it has increased our self-belief, contrary to us pointing the finger at the authorities and media for a ready made blame scapegoat, it looks like the hun is running scared and are full of posturing and shouting to cover their inadequacies and weekness. as the week goes on I feel we are becoming stronger and are not filling our-selves with false hope.
Just my humble opinion.
-
Edward Ursus posted.....CelticFirst :- Apologies I worded that badly, my point was that more than a few Celtic bookings this year have been for mouthing off to the ref (I'm going by anecdotal eveidence from on here for this) and if the players didn't mouth off then they couldn't be booked for it.

What would you have the likes of Aiden McGeady do, when he is being hacked down & given no protection.
Is he expected to walk away like a whipped pup ?
It is human nature to speak up when you are being abused, & I hope our players will NEVER meekly accept it.
-
Canamalar :- It looks like we differ on the effect of players withdrawing or playing for Scotland, that's the fun of the blog we all have our opinions and can argue them all week until the games shows which of us is right. What I will say in my defence is that I was against Rangers players playing in the game before it kicked off and the result or form of Celtic players in it has nothing to do with my views. I've been consistant about this since I started posting on here and still think it's wrong to risk your players in a friendly a couple of days before a game of huge importance. Some think that playing last night will keep players at the peak of match fitness others like myself think that it could lead to tired legs but I don't think it will make one iota of difference psychologically.

I have just been informed from a Rankers supporting co-worker that there is a precedance for extending the league season. Seemingly back in 1979 this happened. Said person did not know the detaisl as to why or whether it was 1978/1979 or 1979/1980 season.
1979 we won the league and 1980 Aberdeen won the league.
I have been searching the web in my spare time to no avail.
Anyone?

KilbowieKelt :- I see very few Celtic games so I don't know the circumstances of bookings for dissent. I'm going by comments I've read on here that mention players being booked for dissent. I agree with you 100% that it must be extremely frustrating for certain players who feel the ref isn't giving them protection from foul play and can fully understand the very human reaction to complain about it. What I would say though is how often does complaining lead to a change of mind from the ref rather than a booking?

remember in 1908-09 season, we played our last 8 games in 12 days to win 5 leagues in a row, we didnt ask for an extention then

Ed:
I wonder what Roy Keane, in his playing days, answer would have been to your last question.

Canamalar :- It looks like we differ on the effect of players withdrawing or playing for Scotland, that's the fun of the blog we all have our opinions and can argue them all week until the games show s which of us is right_________________
Sorry, Ed., but the result of Saturday's game will NOT show who was right or wrong in this issue.
It is either RIGHT or WRONG to represent your country when you are chosen.
The result will be incidental with regards to the morality of having clubs ,or players, deciding to succumb to convenient two day injuries, to avoid the risk of losing players for an important game.
It is NOT alright to leave the risk to others.
