i need feedback, lol
Hear, hear Paul. What a great day that was in 1998. But ten years on there may well be a better one coming very soon!
Is this where Artur got his t-shirt?
If 60,000 people could buy one of these and wear them at the Hibs match, it would show Artur that we are all behind him.
PS, Will Harald be playing in this match?
Damn You MIS...grrrrr......to have that coveted 1st almost in my hands only to see it slip away at the last second.
Now I know how the huns will feel in a couple of weeks :-)
HAIL! HAIL!

Sorry mate i was trying to paraphrase and temper my ire at the same time.
The 40th Anniversary to quote;
"recognises that 40 years on there are a range of commissions and non-departmental public bodies to ensure fairness and transparency in these and many other areas; believes that, whereas Roman Catholics felt disadvantaged when there were few safeguards and little data available to verify disadvantage in 1968, it is Protestants who in 2008 face disadvantage in jobs and cultural rights despite the existence of the data which verifies their claim to disadvantage and the organisations whose task it is to ensure that such disadvantage no longer exists; and calls upon those bodies to work to ensure that there is genuine equality in Northern Ireland for all"
Liked the "little data available to verify disadvantage" and the
"despite the existence of the data" Lets just make the rules up as we go along.
So there you have it equality for all (so long as your name isn't Artur) ;-)
good luck with the new look
Kojo,
yer boss makes a great point and made me laugh!
I heard earlier that Sunday was rememberance day for JP2 in Poland. A wee bit of investigation by a journo (Whose job that is supposed to be, I think) could have looked into that and given explanation.
Mick,
I've read the same propoganda and understand what happened.
Maybe they should vote for Sinn Fein as they are hope for a United Ireland of equals for everyone

Going home (Aye, for dinner!)

bhoy4life,
Just played the Kick Nacho game on your website. Very good fun, got to kick the wee ned over the red flag. I know its only a game but it gave me immense pleasure.

i remember sitting in paradise on the 9th of may 1998 with tears in my eyes waiting on the helicopter bringing the trophy home , a tidal wave of euphoria went over the whole of timdom that summer and for the first time in ages kids or even big kids could wear there hoops with even more pride than usual it was a truely memorable time to be a tim having seen the huns run over us for such a long time
Cheers mate
play the one you get to shoot him, that better,
I need writers anyone interested?
The build-up to the St Johnstone game was phenomenal. I kept having this day-dream in which I met Enrico Annoni in a cafe and I just fell on my knees before him like a penitent before a priest and begged him to win the game, urged him to understand what it meant to us.
I think Enrico did understand without ever having to involve me, fortunately.
Well with that First tucked away in the old sky rocket, let's see if I have anything actual stuff to say, likesy...
Regarding Artur, I think it is not his job to be displaying any overtly religious or political views whilst out there (his work place after all). Not so as to appease the huns or out of a fear of offending them, they can kiss that hairy tanned one I referred to in an earlier post, it simply is not his job.
I remember when Fowler showed support on a t-shirt to the Liverpool dockers all those years ago. These days I feel the same about that sort of action.
I would suggest that Gordon quietly says to him, 'Artur you are paid to play football. And you do that exceptionally well. No more with the t-shirts.'
But to more important matters... the fitba'.
I too thought Barry Robson had a very good game on Sunday, especially second half. He seems to have both poise on the ball and steel, and obviously a keen eye for the dead ball situation. He seems not to give the ball away too often and with Hartley playing well at the moment, they are the obvious foundation partnership for the midfield. Robson was not far behind McDonald in my MOM assessment.
For what I saw of Scott Brown earlier in the season, he is a player. There seems to be a problem there, hopefully just a dip in form. Let's hope he can put it right. I would not punt him, unless for silly money.
Samaras, I couldn't really get much of a view on. Didn't do anything wrong, but nor did he...
Still, JVOH needs a big season next season to convince me. I have written this before. He obviously has talent and is strong, skilful and can score but does he have enough of those abilities and has he the heart of a Celtic great? Not sure.
What concerned me was that in the first half we were outplayed, despite the early goal and were it not for the fact that the huns were knackered, I dread to think what might have been.
Still, we outplayed them second 45 and deserved the win. Remember I got a big slice of 4-1 for the title from paddypower after the Ibrox defeat.
I am enjoying my podium moment, it feels good to be back with the new look CQN.

Can any of our Polish friends whether or not Sunday was in fact a day of rememberance for John Paul II. It would go a long way to explain our ethos of Lazy Journalism.
Hail, hail
Did anybody see Naka throw his shirt into the crowd after the match on Sunday?
My sister-in-law's boyfriend was the person who caught it, and he has just brought it down to my house to show off.
Young Inky has already had his photo taken with it on and now it's my turn.
STANDING UP... wearing Nakamura's shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry for posting again but does anyone over in the MOTHERWELL area know if the game is in doubt this weekend there is a lot of rain.......
Hey CF, thanks for the comment earlier. I did reply, it's in there somewhere.
Hi Paul 67
Been following all the threads and have held back from posting however just thought I would congratulate you and your assistants on your shiny new blog.
Progress is marvellous.
Quick message of support to our goalkeeper Well Done Artur!!
Oh and anyone notice the outpouring from the tabloids about how the HUNS have ruined Alan Gow (a boy on the fringes of a Scotland call up before moving there). Go on McGuire mention that on your bigoted phone-in !
Hopefully I will be back on after the season ends to comment further.
Well Done again Paul and keep it up
Hail Hail

In pictures: John Paul II remembered
YOUR PICTURE GALLERY IS NOW LOADING...
Catholics around the world, as here in Minsk, Belarus, have celebrated special Masses to mark the first anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II.
In churches across Poland, John Paul's native country, there have been special services and events to mark the first anniversary of his death.
Crowds gathered in St Peter's Square at the Vatican to hear an address by successor Pope Benedict XVI.
Pilgrims have travelled to Vatican City from all over the world and have shown their devotion in various ways.
Pope Benedict said John Paul II had "died as he always lived, animated by the indomitable courage of faith".
Polish pilgrims carried Poland's national flag as a reminder of the late Pope's origins.
Some 2,000 Polish pilgrims paid their tributes to John Paul in the heart of London.
Thousands of people travelled to John Paul's home town of Wadowice near Krakow in southern Poland for a special mass and other events.
Girls in traditional dress in Lagiewniki, Krakow, pray for the swift beatification of John Paul II.
Thousands of pilgrims gathered for an evening candlelit vigil which marked the exact moment of Pope John Paul II's death a year ago.
put johm paul2 remembered poland into google and got this from the bbc.co.uk,sorry cant do the link thing yet
I have been pure scunnered by those fine upstanding chaps from the DUP having a motion sanctioning our poor wee Artur. Could not some of our own MPs, maybe even the Speaker, have them named and shamed and thrown out of the Commons for briniging that august body into such sectarian disrepute?
Declan, I missed your comment/joke, thanks. The Quick News is reserved for actual news and an attempt to make sure we don’t oppose the media just for the sake of it. They are not beyond redemption.
Theweeman, well said.
Stephen, thank you.
Lhondondave, sorry, like Scott McDonald, I saw an opening…..
salford, the motion was backed by a scotish labour mp from linlithgow i think he is from( a tim as well).
oops bit of a blunder there that was from 2006
sorry Bhoys apoligies there

Following on from my last thought, could not Her Majesty herself not take umbrage with that craven crew. After all, she invited the late John Paul to tea herself at Buck House, God Bless her (and JP11).
theweeman,
Why was that? How could any self respecting person coory in with that parcel of rogues?

Can't really argue with your contention about that league title, Paul.
Personally, I think Love Street was the best I've felt, apart from the Cup in 65, Lisbon and, of course, Seville. Still, age creeps upon us all and I may be wrong. There was sooooo much to celebrate in the late 60s and early 70s. (And I can feel still the bitterness of Milan; maybe the lowest I've felt until Scott MacDonald got in on the act.)
Is anyone else having problems with CelticTV on Sky (ch 436)? Been a blank screen since i tuned in at 7pm. Same with RangersTV.
Delighted to hear of the tribute match. Poor Phil was a man worth paying tribute to. I only hope the return of Mr Larsson does not overshadow proceedings.
Possibly the most nervous 90 mins of my life that St Johnstone match. One of the best nights afterwards also. The Garngad was a scene never to be forgotten.
C'mon the liverpool! Can't stand chelsea.
Re 1998 it really was a perfect day.
I remember I was at the game the previous week in Dunfermline. It was a beautiful day and things seemed to be going just right until that late equaliser. I honestly don't recall a header taking so long to hit the back of the net!
The following week at Parkhead was great. The KOK settled the nerves early on and then Harald finished it off.
I used to go on the Edinburgh Uni bus in those days and I booked us a couple of cases of bubbly and we took them to the Meadows to drink.
If you didn't live through those times you have no idea the dread we felt at the prospect of Ten-in-a-row.
Chelsea v Liverpool kicking off soon. Who go you fancy, bhoys?
I think Chelsea at home and confident after the win over Man U at the weekend will come out on top.
Zbyszek.
You have mail.
Hi, all. New poster suckered in by this here revamp.
Chelsea tonight, I'd say, would make great end of season league and cup finale with SAF's lot. If Liverpool DO prevail, it'll just go to prove that their relationship with the big Cup is blessed beyond the realms of man.

Hello Paul67,
long time reader in Toronto, Canada, but first time poster.
As a practicing lawyer by trade, non-practicing theologian by training, music and celtic fanatic, this site always has something (often many things) of interest to me. In the future, I may even venture to offer a comment or two on some of them.
However, for my first post, I just wanted to say thank you to you for running this terrific site. Over here, it is quite difficut to get good/accurate information about the bhoys, so your site and C67 are invaluable to people like me. THANKS!
Sunnysalford4 (you’re going to need to get your real name back), 1986 was great, but ’98 was beyond comparison in importance.
Se7en, memories of Lanarkshire that night remain fresh.
Welcome LeGrandPierreTheFrenchConfrere.
Nelsbbhoy, an excellent idea, I will.
Welcome mgm1888and thank you for your kind words.
Paul67 - Good luck with the new look site.
I am a long time lurker and have always enjoyed the articles & comments. (I did sign up to the CQN fantasy football league a year or two ago under the moniker Baltach though)
Anyway great to see Henrik back - he could still do a job in the SPL.
As for tonight want Liverpool but Chelsea have a FOD habit of 'grinding' out results.
Thanks for that Michele, just flicked over and now getting OF game from 1981 (3-3). Moyes playing. Sometimes goes to a black screen so just an intermittent problem
Still playing catch-up on the last thread and just wanted to say, agree BR & PH (not gonna happen !) and O' Dea for SM..................But no one has talked (as far as I've read so far) the most pertinent question !!!??? Our biggest problem of recent times has been LN ! Couldn't believe GS played him on Sunday ahead of MW (on the bench btw !). Yet again the manager still sticking with playing his "favourites". He got away with it, but how much more comfortable would it have been if MW was at LB ??? I saw at least two occasions when LN was at fault for a huns attack.

Conroy just elbowed Miller in the face, a real jaw breaker and clearly deliberate. Commentator (Jock Brown) says "well, I wonder if Alex Miller made more of that than there actually was"
Men were men in those days.
Sometimes I like to consider things from a different angle:-
I see that according to several Scottish hacks including Ned Flanders in the Daily Rectum that:-
Rangers fans were "enraged" by Artur's T shirt "taunt"
Were they ?
All of them ?
Whatever the reason for Artur's choice of T shirt, it seems to me that there appears to be a great deal of common logic in the pre-supposition that the T shirt is only likely to have offended those who harbour anti-catholic sentiment.
I wonder how the Rangers support feel about Flanders et al being allowed to effectively use the pre-supposition that all of them are anti-catholic bigots.
Furthermore, I wonder if the Rangers support at large is offended that these hacks think so little of Rangers supporters that they are concerned that the sight of Artur's T shirt would provoke violent disorder amongst the Rangers support.
So - what the headlines really meant was:-
"Bigots enraged by loving memorial to the late Pontif"
MF
oh do I remember that day in 1998, when our bus got home to coatbridge we were appauded through the town, as were all the buses as if it was the supporters that stopped tiar, then I went to whifflet, and partied till late with thousand of like minded people,

What a goal by Drogba from a loose ball wide right in the box.
Lest there be any doubt about Nacho Novo, as well as having empty pockets, he is not as good at finishing as Didier Drogba.

Paul,
I have a mate who works in Security at Celtic Park. He has passed me on these exclusive pictures of the Rangers support leaving Paradise last Sunday which I thought you might appreciate.
so near!
1998 was one of my best experiences with celtic.
i had a job interview that morning and didn't make the game - my boss-to-be cut short the interview so he could get home to listen to the rangers game. he was a jambo, but in his own words "would rather see rangers win the league over they feenyins any day"... he later left the job after similar comments, his own boss being a "feenyin".
anyway, i digress.
that day in may was special. i cried, and cried and cried. i was so happy, i cuddled everyone i met. that day, and night, was incredible and will never be forgotten. i also got the job.
i have only cried, sobbed and wailed with celtic on three notable occasions (there have been others, but not on this scale). the first breakdown was when stevie kirk scored against celtic in the scottish cup semi final replay when we lost 4-2. i was inconsolable that any team could score that many against us and that we were beaten.
the third time in was inconsolable was standing at my seat with the boys i'd spent the previous 9yrs watching celtic with, bawling my eyes out as larsson, having scored a double, made his lap of honour with tears streaming down his face.
but, my 2nd time goes back to that 'you'll-never-get-10-in-a-row' league win - THAT was the day that the lord made...
The Phil O'Donnell tribute game is an excellent idea and very deserving. It would be nice to parade the league trophy in his memory.
The weekend we stopped 10 in a row will go down as one of the best weekends of my life. Celtic Park truly was Paradise. I've never seen so many tears of joy.
This year could be as sweet...............
Step forward Heroes!!
Ah, 9th May 1998. I remember (most of) it like it was yesterday.
Early train from Edinburgh to the Big City. Beers in Babbity's. The brother up from England.
Henrik. Tommy Boyd charging down the wing. Harald.
Ecstasy (no, not the substance......)
Final whistle - one and only time on the sainted turf. No-one tried to stop us - we were thousands.
Over-crowded car back into town (driven by the sober one, who travelled up from England every other week), scarves out the sunroof/windaes.
Pubs. Babbity's - with hundreds singin in the "garden" - being just one of them.
The Ashoka in Argyle Street - the waiters celebrating with us
The Smiddy, I think....
Last train to Edinburgh.
Off at Waverley, stoatin along platform singin "Cheerio to ten in a row".
Late night Celtic-minded pub.
Blissful oblivion.
Sunday morning(ish). Pulled on night before's jeans - hallowed turf in pocket. Framed in dining room.
Monday morning at hun-predominant work:
"I suppose you'd a good weekend then?"
"Seven pubs, one Indian restaurant, two cities. CHEERIO TO TEN IN A ROW......."
Looking forward to a similar day shortly.
And the framed grass that Henrik and Harald performed on is still framed on the wall.
Hail! Hail!
Welcome Once a Tim… a fine name.
Scotlands shame, it’s been raining all day in the MLs.
Dick Byrne, :-)
May67, so many great memories from that day.

I was also interested in finding out about The John Paul Remembrance Day but so far have been unable to confirm it.
Can anyone help?
changes to the site are fantastic
been down south the last couple of days with no access to t'internet and speaking of south can anyone tell me if our dear friend Sean South has posted since Sunday's fantastic victory over TFOD.
there has been a spring in my step since last Wednesday week and big Jan's winner, we may win the league and we may not, however at least we have made a go of it, albeit a wee bit late.
oh what memories of 1998, the sheer pressure, relaxation after Henrik scored early, the sheer pressure and nailbiting right up until Harold Martin Brattbak secured his place in our history - 10 was never going to happen - oh happy days
Hail Hail the Celts are here!

I am therefore pretty certain that is his name
she was a Rosenberg fan, very into football and became a Celtic fan because of HMB and was just as happy as I was when HMB secured the league title
Hail Hail
opTIMistic little soldier,
Loved your post.
I remember standing in the stand with a few tears at Henrik's farewell match. I was also there at the Siesta game against Seville, which if I am not mistaken is the biggest attendence at the new Celtic Park due to the absence of away fans and therefore no segregation.
Wonderful memories.
The 1998 season also holds fond memories for me as was the first season I was allowed to travel to Celtic games on my own with our supporters club. My Dad had taken me to a couple of games in 1994 and 1996 but as he was a Man U fan he didn't want to go all the time.
I missed the final game as I had a stupid A Level to take on the monday so wasn't able to go as the rest of the boys were making a weekend of it and not due back to Ireland until Monday morning. I remember having to listen to the game on the radio and radio commentary isn't great for the heart at the best of times.
This was also my first taste of a league winning Celtic side as I only started supporting the Hoops in 1990.
However, if we win the next 3 games and Rangers falter, this season could top all those memories.

That win against St Johnston was one of the best days of my life as someone who spent most his teenage years watching them win 9 in a row (and just about everything else to our trophyless spell).
I used that as some tiny bit of comfort after black sunday and the seville year by telling myself i'd have given them both they last day title wins for ours in 1998.
As for this year i think we will know if we have any chance after this weekend. A win and any dropped points for them = game on, anything else i think thats it. If we expect anyone to take points from them we wont get a better oportunity than a trip to easter road 3 days after a uefa cup semi final in Italy. Not sure if given the choice i'd prefer a 4 - 0 thumping to dent there confidence big time or a penalty loss for fitness reasons (though i know what the nerves would prefer)
Cheers, Spirit of Arthur Lee
One of the greatest days.

Twenty-five years? Where have they gone?
BoltonBhoy is PB. We called him by the same first name as one of the twentieth century's most celebrated painters, although he's never had a Blue Period in his life.
Please give Fr Grant my very best wishes for his silver jubilee. I hope you all make a big fuss of him.

I do not want this to become a detective agency, but why do you think you know me?
You will enjoy Finnegans - the Celts will be on one bar with Man U on the other. If you are in the city centre you do not need to get a Metro. The pub is a 5 minute stroll from the Colliseum.
Paul67,
I think I read that you're a Carfin-ite?
Y'know Fr Tom Millar? I lived in the same Dublin suburb as his brother, Vince and was solely responsible for making sure said Vince got home from Frazers after the games; particularly the Rangers games.
I don't know Fr Tom personally, but if you're ever talking to him, tell him to light a few candles for me for looking after his bro...!

This is a myth and I must quash it.
We need to win, no question. But if Rangers should prevail on Sunday, that doesn't mean the dream dies. Not at all.
Rangers have six to play. The dream lives on if we go into the last day with a chance. For that to happen, Celtic need to win on Saturday and then beat Hibs at Celtic Park.
What we need Rangers to do is draw just one of the five games before the last day. Just one draw. They would go into their game at Pittodrie with a distinct advantage, but we would still be in the hunt.
One draw. It may not come at Easter Road, but it will come.
Believe. And don't let your belief falter for a moment.
Reading all the comments and my tuppence worth:
The goalie erred - he has brought us down to their level.
The Novo song - as above.
Rankers will drop points - we may win the league, if we don't look back (in anger) at being 0-2 up V's Caley and losing 3-2, the DUTD, Hibs and St Mirren games at Parkhead and a daft draw at Huncastle.
1-1 Chelsea V's L'pool.
The day we stopped 10 in a row - what a night, locked in Bairds as the cops had received a warning that a bomb was inside - so they locked us in for about 30-mins!! followed by the mother of all parties at my house.
WGS, I tolerated him, then loved him, then loathed him and since the last 2 soap dodgers games I love him again xx.
one for the auld hands. Just watching the semi final game, just seems like a normal league game, no special excitement about the game for me.
Before the advent of wall to wall matches from england, Spain ect, for me these occasions were far more exciting seeing players that you heard of but hadnt seen a lot of playing in the big European cup games, world cups ect.
or is it just old age......

Taken from Wikipedia
At least they can spell all his names correctly
Harald Martin Brattbakk (born February 1, 1971 in Trondheim) is a Norwegian former football player who has now retired and occasionally works as a soccer pundit on TV2 Norway.
He has played for Kolstad, Rosenborg BK, Celtic, F.C. Copenhagen and Bodø/Glimt (loan).
Hail Hail
Was sitting yards away from iconic picture of Henrik jumping on Harald's back after second goal - words can't describe the relief. Also spotted Hugh Keevins' off camera celebration at the final whistle. A special day.
Mort (aka Gordon J)
I too grew up knowing only Rangers winning. My first game was against Hamilton Accies and we won 8-3. I couldn't tell you who scored, only that Packie Bonner was in goals. And so began my obsessions with the greatest goalkeeper (up for debate) I have seen. Even Artur has years to go until he is on par with Packie.
I started going regularly on the "Winchbrae" bus in 1990 aged 10, my first Rangers game was a 0-0 draw. My 2nd was a 4-2 defeat, being 2-0 down inside 4mins.
The 90s were horrible. But that day in May was incredible. I loved every minute of it. I too was restricted to radio commentary. My mam still remembers the scream of delight coming from the room as Harald swept home the clincher.
It felt like we'd won a war. Like we had become free people. I was only 18, but I felt like I was a man. I had felt unbridled joy that was never felt before.
I'm glad I was born a Tim.
Paul,
Well done on the new site. It looks great. Seems to have attracted a lot of new posters. A warm welcome to all.
The league victory in 1998 was one of the most nervous days of my life. I could not bear watching updates on TV, so I spent 2 hours walking around St Albans with a pram praying that we would win. The win was so important after all those bad times in the 90's.
Henke's goal that day was lifted straight from the top drawer.
I still can't bear to think what would have happenned if we had failed to win that day. Unthinkable. Consider how much we craved success in those days to how some fans expect / demand success in this era. Changed days indeed.
Lubo.
This is a test
Faithfulthru&thru, cheers.
optimistic little soldier, I sure am and I do know Fr Tom. I’ll let him know who looks after Vince.
Bhoydell, it’s hosted on a value deal in California, I therefore assume it must be Dell.

Lubo, cheers.

Think you're a bit confused here! I am not Mort.
Although I was in the Jungle the day we beat Accies 8 - 3. Most goals I've ever seen at a live professional game.
Oh and another thing - claim to fame, I was in The Jungle with Tojo Marr from Lochee No1, when a guy asked "excuse me pal" and brushed past us calmly walked to the front, climbed the wee wire fence, skipped past a female cop and ran onto the pitch to skelp WGS on the napper !!
Who would have thought he (WGS)would end up as the main man?
Whatever happened to the assailant?
Whatever happended to Michael Fagan?
Bad news 3-1 chelsea.
hello everybody. I've been trying to comment for weeks but blogger wouldn't let me. Love the new site especially as i can get on to it. A couple of technical questions though.... what is a URL and what are HTML tags?
Wasn't Sunday "..just a perfect day "?.I was on line and was Glad " ... I spent it with you "

Faithfulthru&thru,
Thanks for the update.
I ask solely because some of my extended family called me Martin Brattbakk, apparently we had similar styles playing football, we were both not very good.
STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS,
Martin.
was in upper deck north stand 1998 with lurgan club that special day stand was shaking beneath my feet aye it was so so special
Optimistic little soldier your first game had the best pass ive ever saw anywhere. We were shooting into the Celtic end The maestro crossing the halfway line facing towards the huns end reverse pass to Daniel Fergus who crossed for Alan McInally to head in.
it was even better than the maestro's pass in the centenary year but not as importnt

I've just read Che Timara's article "We are all Artur Boruc" on ETims. He was commenting on Billy McNeil's column in whatever daily he writes for regarding Artur's T-Shirt. Apparently Big Caesar was highly criticle of Artur. Hs anyone got a link to the article so I can make my own mind up?
Thanks in anticipation.
Winningemmell
absolutely, I really hope they don't
also hoping for another blue, Boris, to be kicked into touch tomorrow.
come on you red(Ken)s
So,do we want the uglies to get through on thursday?horrifying thought the prospect is,it would give us a better chance of winning the league, the divine cardy would be torn with regard to team selection, with a real pssibility of slips,i just can't make up my mind.
Having suffered nine years of darnelist domination, the St Johnstone game (thanks to the East End Park denouement) co-incided with my daughter's First Holy Communion - cue logistical and familial gymnastics which will stay with me forever.

Alan McInally scored a great goal in the 8-3 game.He seemed to run at half the Hamilton team before scoring.
I remember being too surprised to celebrate.
I thought the love for the Arsenal (which I share) would stop you going as far as that.
I wanted Barca to win last night but I know you wouldn't be able to do that - assuming they are not first or second in your little black book

Optimistic little soldier,
Thefirst part of my last post was directed to your post about 1998. The next bit was telling Gordon_J about a link about PSG being banned from next season's French League Cup.
Apologies for any confusion,
Hail Hail

Of course I wanted Barcelona to win last night.

If the unthinkable should happen, and they do qualify, will be interesting to see how Manchester reacts to the impending visit from the hordes, bearing in mind,Barcelona,a city which has been playing host to football fans for something like forty years,(with only one notable flashpoint),seen fit to introduce an entirely new policy for the safety of it's citizens. How anyone can possibly liken our behaviour to that of the rangers fans,is utterly beyond me,if those who wish to tarnish us with the same brush as them could just provide the evidence,i would be happy to concede my error, everywhere we go,we are welcomed with open arms, from people with no agenda, just ordinary football fans, and authorities who know right from wrong. As far as i'm concerned,THE defining story, the one which, more than any other, shows up the true differences between us and them,is Villareal, after LOSING,and exiting the competition, the behaviour of our fans is so exemplary, and extraordinary, the locals are moved to form a CSC in the town.Compare, and contrast,if you dare, the beahviour of a different set of fans, from the same city, mind you,a mere two years later, not one incident,in all my years of following my club, has more clearly illustrated the fundamental difference between the two clubs, one inclusive, with a policy of tolerance, the other, well,i leave the media, who constantly link our mindset with that of rangers,to fill in the blanks.
you had me worried there. Thought someone needed to come round and take away your vouchers
Mort & Optimistic little soldier,
Now I understand!
Mort, thanks for the link.
