COMMENT-BODY:Great result and fighting performance from the Hoops. Rangers are running on empty and will drop more points. Celtic must not drop the ball by dropping any points in the run-in.
Don't worry about Artur's T-Shirt. It said "God Bless the Pope" with a picture of the Pontiff. However, it wasn't negative against any religion or religious figure, so he cannot be touched legally for provocative behaviour, although the usual suspect might give it a go. They will only look stupid if they do.
God bless Celtic.
God bless the Holy Goalie.

They did the exact same when McCulloch was fit, and continued it against Fiorentina with Whittaker on the left. It shows how one-dimensional they are when they have to take their biggest free player, a right-back, and put him on the left-wing so as to carry on playing the same tactic.

COMMENT-BODY:Gentlemen (and Ladies)
I have no idea who is going to win this years league, if I did , my house would be on it.
But I do know this – right at this moment in time, this minute, just as the huns are taking off their boots in the away changing room, they’ve got what they think is a frog in their throats. It is not a frog at all, it is constipated bile and lord I hope it burns.
The recriminations, the accusations, the insults, the - you’re not good enoughs - Star wars has got nought on the away dressing room as we sit and enjoy.
NO SURRENDER oh! Okay I can kop that – but boss – what about capitulation from a pile of crap. Were good at that.
I blame the protestant schools for not educating their pupils the difference between frogs and testicles.
There are no renditions of Derrys Walls, no up to their knees in Fenian blood, no mock huddles or establishment party. None.
They are gutted. They are morally skint and even their brothers in cheathoots are abandoning them.
Faith, no matter who wins the league… FAITH.
One more step on the road to redemption.
One more step for those who believe.
Sean South - you had something to say??????????

COMMENT-BODY:Skippy was a team player today, he had a few chances today to his hattrick but either passed to a team mate or took the ball into the corner to waste time. Very impressed with the way Celtic ran down the last 5 minutes.
Caldwell was excellent again as I have been saying he has been one of our most consistent players since the beginning of January. It is heartening to see some of the GC haters coming around to the fact.
Robson had a great second half, a lot of us was moaning wheb we signed him but he can tackle, defend, head, good at taking set plays, score and play several positions.
Chick Young just defended Artur's T-Shirt as someone e-mailed Radio Scotland to say Artur should be banned for the Season. Chick said it showed that the person that e-mailed has the problem.
I hope a lot of posters don't pull a back muscle bending over to pick up their towels.

Did anyone watching on Sultana tv notice that our biggest supporter was Terry Butcher? On the Eberdeen "goal" last week, after listening to McLean and Burley spouting their nonsense, he replied on the fact that the Celtic players stopped playing, and that if teh whistle hadn't gone, Bobo would probably have thrown himself in front of the ball.
On this week's game, and the penalty that was given -words to the effect "the tackle was perfectly good, if he was playing rugby"!.
More power to the converted Tel!
They are filling their breeks now - come on Celtic, win the rest of your games and the that nice trophy will stay where it belongs.

brilliant.
on the game itself i thought we were shaky for much of the first half but played well in the second. jvoh was treading a thin line and it was right to bring him off. I think if samaras showed a wee bit more urgency he would be a tremendous player.
well done calswell, odea, robson (eventually), mcgeady and skippy. All stand-outs for me today.

I thought Gordon was out thought early on by Walte Mitty but like Martin my God he actually sorted out the team tactically and from about 35 minutes on we were the better team .
Big thanks to Scott McDonald who hasn't being playing great had a fantastic game for the Hoops. I thought they all got to grips with them eventually and considering what is still up for stake that is guts and all the rest.
I'm one of the most proudest people in the world tonight.

What a game. I thought we didn't turn up for the first 35 mins, but then outplayed them for the rest of the game.
Nakamura, Robson and McDonald all excellent. But the man I said should have been captain at the begining of the season was quite outstanding. Gary Caldwell stepped up to the mark and gave no quarter. MOTM in my opinion was GC but Skippy would always get it for his two brilliant goals.
3-2 flattered them.
I loved Under Pressure being played at the final whistle.
Squeaky bum time indeed!!!!!!!
Had to laugh at Uncle Walter..."thought the referee handled the game well...only a couple of controversial decisions."

I was questioning taking Hartley of for Skoosh, I thought that maybe Naka should have come off, but the last 15 minutes of the game Naka controlled a lot of the play, besides Hartley was already on a yellow, so if need be it would be better for Skoosh to take yellow in the centre of the pitch.

I agree with you %100, but they will be still posters on here that will say that Celtic won in spite of what WGS did as it was the players that won it or the huns gave up or that WGS got lucky. in my local back home, a few years ago, we were all in there after we had defeated the huns and we were in jovial mood. it was a mixed pub and there was a good number of celtic fans and a smattering of rangers fans. in walks bazzabhoy's uncle, and he makes his way straight to the dukebox, which was quiet at this stage. within 10secs, roy orbison's "it's over" quickly reverberated around the boozer. our celebrations stepped up a notch!

There is no sweeter feeling than winning against the odds. First win from behind in so many years. Two penalties in a row. Two sendings off in a row. Does it get any better? The tide has turned and we now have the momentum, while their wheels are coming off.
Now if Fiorentina can put them on Thursday ...
And on Arthur - as an athiest I believe in freedom of religious expression for everyone. Players cross themselves and wear religious icons all over the world and no one gives a damn. It's only in this sad little country that it is an issue. Scotland's Shame indeed.

I attended today with my voice completely shot. However the boy next to me came in on crutches, so he did my share of the singing and I did his share of the dancing, so all is good.
It is easy to be magnanimous in victory but Edward U's team played well in the first half today. Their goals were gifted easily but they passed the ball with confidence and supported each others' runs. Our crowd were quietened and their players were cruising until Skippy scored that second goal. I'll say this now that his beautiful second goal turned this season on its head.
Rankers did not show up in the same way in the second half. Celtic were great and outplayed, outfought and outran them. Fitness showed too.
I still have no voice so I have foresworn the pub as I cannot speak my usual mince. I'll just have to bore you lot instead.
Although Skippy's second was a defining moment, I think we have anointed the new official hunskelper in Barry Robson. He is so much better than I expected him to be.
Life is good just now but we still have 3 big cup finals to play. I have confidence in the away fixtures and their atmosphere. I worry that we may let the atmosphere drop in our final home game like we did against Aberdeen. Anyway, Life is good even if I can't sing just now.
I'm sure one of you can sing a song for me. I'm still prepared to dance.

COMMENT-BODY:The bhoys showed real character today, it would have been easy to have folded after they took the lead but we showed great spirit, heart and a word that Gordon likes to use...Bravery.
One of today's defining moments was Paul Hartleys challenge on Ferguson. They were rattled beyond belief by that, their composure left the building at that point, because they had no one who was big enough to do it back. Big Jan also showed a bit of nastiness in his challenge with the joker who is Faye. (Imagine inviting the City of London police to look at you by signing that dud.)
Gary Caldwell was immense in that 2nd half, didn't lose a challenge. He is showing remarkable bravery every week by trying to play football with some of our support turning on him after 1 wasted pass.
Good on you Gary, you're a better player than you think you are.

Thank you, Celtic, for restoring pride in the jersey. It is obvious to us all that everyone is giving their all. A special thanks should be going from each and every Celtic fan to Gary Caldwell, after the nonsense he has had to put up with.
Still, as I said a couple of weeks ago, I think Barry Robson should have the captain's armband. He has been tremendous for us. He might just be the person to bring on Scott Brown.
Still, I hope our manager and all at Celtic Park enjoy the week and get their reward by winning our remaining games and thereby stoking up the pressure on Ed's mob.
Here's to Fierenze and the Hibees winning this week. That is the stuff of dreams.

COMMENT-BODY:Terrific fighting performance from the lads.
Most Rangers fans I know are absolutely terrified about the run in and with good reason. They have been critical of the football Walter has served up but now they are questioning his tactics as well.
They also have major selection problems and a tired squad. In times like these the old heads need to keep calm and the young legs have to do the running for them. Rangers three sets of freshest legs - Burke, Naismith and Whittaker are now not available for crucial games.
As for the old heads going down - witness the body language of Weir, Ferguson and Dailly as they left the pitch today.
Add to that - their 1st choice goalie is out, there is fighting behind the scenes, they haven't won in five, Cousin doesn't want to be there, Darcheville is knackered and most of their remaining games are away from Ibrox.
The remnants still left available to them include
- A Bosman from St Mirren
- A journeymen striker from Dundee
- A Fulham reserve
- A West Ham reserve
- A guy that couldn't cut it at Nottm Forest
- A Blackburn reserve midfielder currently on police bail
- The former 2nd choice keeper at Ipswich
Ouch
Celtic now need to focus on their own performances. If we win all three, we will win the league

COMMENT-BODY:That was one glorious game today.
Rangers gave us their best shot and played as well at Celtic Park as they have done this decade, and yet we take the points.
Our bigger, younger and better squad may or may not win the title. They will definitely win it next year though. No more hoodoos. No more Indian signs. Smith has lost back to back against us for the first time. I don't think it will be the last.
Skippy, Caldwell and Barry quite correctly getting the plaudits, but in the last 20 mins, it was Naka who showed real class; keeping the ball and stopping them build any momentum.
It's my birthday tomorrow. Thank you bhoys for the early pressie.
Hail Hail

COMMENT-BODY:Thanks to the players, Gordon and the backroom staff for todays result - ya done good guys!
Special mention in dispatches to Gary Caldwell for all the abuse you've taken, standing tall, taking it on the chin, and answering your critics back with outstanding performances on the pitch - well done sir!
Commendations to Skippy - thought you were a busted flush - apologies.

Thank you sir - he was great, wasn't he?
And as you say, even when he's not, he's still standing up to be counted...
Personally, I think if we can win our last three games, the title will be coming home.

COMMENT-BODY:Couldn't resist having a wee peek at the level-headed forum on FollowFollow, needless to say meltdown would be an understatement!
Boruc's shirt, all the handball decisions they didn't get, McDonald actually fouled Broadfoot at the penalty, everyone cancelling Setanta because they are biased and love Celtic, and how the SPL will do whatever it takes to deny them the league this year.
It defies belief.

COMMENT-BODY:A difficult afternoon for both fullbacks , think naylor leads a charmed life walking back into team. Wilson had looked steady.
Herr Hinkel had a very poor game today.
Fair play to Caldwell super 2nd half, struggled a bit 1st half against elbows cousin, but got to grips with him 2nd half and was excellent.
Captain Ned was running the show, whoever chopped him down, well done! his influence in the game decreased after this and Celtic took control.
Let hope skippy's got his confidence and shooting boots back and we might still have half a chance. The other 2 dont look like weighing in with ,any goals at the moment.
And well done to the hoalie goalie for his cameo at the end.

COMMENT-BODY:Still not feeling back to normal some 2hrs after the game. Maybe I'll start drinking early today:)
The second goal was the turning point today. Robson's play in the build up was immense, bossing both Davis and Ferguson in the middle before laying the ball off. Aiden also did well to pick him moment to play the ball to McD. Skippy had no right scoring from there but what a finish.
The Hun played as well as they have all season for 35 minutes and went into the dressing room with nothing to show for it. They came out for the second half demoralised. Our Bhoys in the second half were superb. Some good possession football, solid defending and magnificent attitude all round. What a shame we had that bad spell over Xmas and beyond. We should be well clear in the league by now.
The huns next game is crucial. A win will get them back on track but if Hibs can take a point then panic will set in.
Well done to WGS today. Another inspired performance.

erm, Samaras scored in the last game and JVOH in the game before that. One game without a goal does not constitute a drought unless you're a Scottish tabloid writer.

COMMENT-BODY:It may not have been the best football we have played, but heart, guts and determination won through.
Gary Caldwell had a great game, as did Barry Robson and Scott MacDonald. Everyone else did Ok and showed exactly the right attitude. Naka and Sami carried us through the last few minutes.
I hate to bering a negative note on such a fine day, but I have had a bad feeling that the Motherwell result would come back to haunt us. They may well drop four or more points and I think we can will all three we have left. So it might just work out for us, I hope.
But if we were eight points clear right now I think we would be odds on for title.

COMMENT-BODY:Great to see Rangers the huns reputation is growing:
"Former Chelsea striker Mutu said: 'Rangers surprised me in Glasgow. We simply didn't expect a Scottish team to play like that - defending so much.
'We believed that, as the home team, they would try to attack us. But this is obviously their type of football and we have to adapt.
'I've never seen a team play like that at home but that is their game, their tactic, their type of football and clearly what they believe in.
'I thought maybe they would want to make more of a spectacle for the fans. But for me, how can I say it? That was one ugly game of football.
'I just hope, for the sake of football, we see a bit more attacking play from them in Florence. Hopefully then, the fans will see the spectacular play they deserve.'"
Delighted at todays result, and moreso at he performance. It's even better when you come from behind!!
Gary Caldwell, take a bow. Aiden and Skippy likewise.

COMMENT-BODY:WGS commentating on Arturs T-Shirt to the Daily Mail.
"Celtic manager Gordon Strachan made light of the antics of his goalkeeper Artur Boruc who revealed a 'God bless the Pope' T-shirt following the 3-2 win over R****rs at Parkhead.
After the game the Poland international, nicknamed the 'Holy Goalie' by the Celtic fans, took his goalkeeping shirt off to show the t-shirt with a picture of the Pope and accompanying slogan.
But Strachan joked: "He's not a bad lad, to be fair (the Pope). "If it was 'God bless Myra Hindley', I might have a problem."

COMMENT-BODY:It looks like the Fod are getting their December at long last; I just hope it takes a few points off them as it did to us. Given the choice I’d still rather be in their shoes, but wouldn’t be too confident about the next few games they have to play. Interestingly enough we have shown bottle when it counts, and rose to the occasion and got our 6 points. The Fod have tried to get away without losing and lost. Now both teams are in the position of not daring to drop points. We have what it takes, and believe we will accumulate the remaining 9 we need. Can the Fod do that? No, I don’t think so, as shown here today they are shaky, and it could well be, come next weekend that we indeed will push father ahead. We have the beating of Motherwell, I can see them losing away to Hibs, (after losing to Fiorentina).
3 defeats in a row for the Fod will be too much for them – the team, Wattie-face and the Orcs.
A complete meltdown is around the corner, it started last week, and we’ve put more coal on the fire.
It was a sweet result today. Well done to the team, the fans and Gordon Strachan.

the hard bit is relying on others tae dae us a turn and here we have The Tale Of The Two Firs
If Firenze dump anti/ugly (delete where apt or why no jost keep the two adjies) football then we go to Fir Park in even better fettle. ML1 is a notorious venue for us but we simply MUST win our remaining fixtures.
I have never waivered in my belief that the huns ARE a bad team. They will get football stopped under some archaic obscenity law.
