DBBIA
What a coincidence is that, I told you we had one of the Oakwell Brewery Pubs in Warwick and you have one in Carlisle on Warwick Road, Spooky Tooth or what (get the Cumbria connection). They will only have two beers and two lagers on tap. The Barnsley Bitter and the Old Tom Mild are both excellent, should cost £1.55 and £1.45, they just put their prices up thanks to Mr Darling. The Lagers are decent too.
Hopefully the landlord keeps a good cellar.

BBC website reports:
"McGregor and McCulloch doubtful"
Well, I knew that.
Oh, I see- doubtful for the next two matches at least.
McCulloch has a "major ankle injury".
Perhaps DBBIA can enlighten us as to what this could be.
However, McGregor only went over on his ankle. In other words, he will be in goals
next time we face them.
-
will be in lublin poland or lviv ukraine for next huns game nothing on celticbars anyone know where i can see game
-
Did anyone see Patrick barclay on Setanta? He and another gut were discussing a book about football rivalries and Barclay, when talking of Celtic and Rangers, said somethinh like: This rivalry is based on rank bigotry....from one side anyway. He wasn`t asked "Which side?" nor did he enlarge which is a real shame as it was obvious he did not mean us.
I am going to visit BB`s on Saturday. Are the CNQ ers obvious and what time do you leav for the game?
-
wow what a night
What an atmosphere and fantasic banner scotlands shame pure class
Naka was amazing and robson man of the match.
Also great to see our lads banjo the huns shows the fighting spirit of old.
Bring on saturday our self respect is coming back.
Shame on anyone who left early last night missed one of the greatest feelings in life scoring against that scum.
Edward how can you defend that support. Sectarian bile non stop have you not got a football song?
Nacho novo is hunnism personified, coming from a catholic country does he not know what that scum think of his religion?
Next game Robson first tackle on the wee naff twenty feet in the air.
Now for the huns humped in europe.
-
mayfair:
The game is on polsat so a few places in Poland may show it, and Lublin isn't hugely far from Warszawa. Zbyszek may be able to help you better there though.
As for Lviv, I will ask my Ukranian friend if he lives near there and if so where you might catch the game. Ukranian TV no longer covers live SPL games though.
-
It's a funny old game isn't it? Remember what it was like early in January when we were being linked with Robson for the first time? It was a cardinal sin for Gordon to even consider him and some considered it a sackable offense if I remember rightly and Paul seemed to suggest that it was a ridiculous rumour. Fast forward three months and our manager receives dogs abuse for subbing him correctly! Football is such a fickle game :-P
Nakamura was sensational last night the man is just a genius. His pass early on for Jan was beautiful and if he controlled it I think it would have been a goal. After Naka scored he seemed to get a lot of confidence and the Ranger's players were struggling to get the ball off him.
To be honest I don't think anyone deserves to be criticized today. The strikers struggled but that is expected when you play against Rangers, they play deep and narrow and close the space well. There isn't much room for the strikers to maneuver so we need to rely on good support from the mid fielders which we got. Wilson was caught out of position for the goal which is not surprising considering his lack of match practice but I felt he played well overall.
I can only remember Boruc making one save in the last two games in contrast to McGregor who has made a number of impressive saves.
I think we're back in it and with a bit of luck we can still win this league.
-
That wonderful CL support that the TEAM received last night face a major challenge on Saturday.
After the exhilaration of their merited victory the Champions will return to duty against Aberdeen and whilst it would be almost impossible for the CP crowd not to be up for a game against their traditional rivals they often find it difficult to raise themselves to the heights needed to be their team's 12th man.
Will they be up for it when it may matter more? Will the TEAM have a concerted, united, unreserved, unequivocal support behind it or will they return to type?
For me at this time neither tactics formations players nor the management team can affect performance in the way that our support can. Lets hope its there again on Saturday.
For the moment I'm simply pleased to say that we still have a championship to play for and regardless of the conclusion we have already put a marker down for next season with the blowing away of Mr Smith's indian sign over our manager.
Oh and by the way thank you Nakamura San for responding to my plea for more shots from outside the area.

Ned Nacho Flounders is a sycophant. So desperate to be accepted he is willing to sell his tarnished soul to be seen as one of them.
He ought to be careful what he wishes for. He is not alone when you consider the depths some of them have sank to in the past. Goram springs to mind with all the Loyalist claptrap.

"Why don't you go home
Why don't you go home
The Famine's over
Why don't you go home"
How do these scumbags get away with it?
Can we imagine the press reaction if it was people of African descent that their venom was directed against, rather than those of Irish descent?
Can we even begin to imagine the totally-justified furore if a group - and a substantial group - of Man U or Chelsea fans was caught on video singing "why don't you go home" to black people?
Well fashion lovers, it's official.
Irish is the new black.
Last night's chanting on YouTube

Wonder when the spl is going to address the oustanding fixtures? The closer the league gets the more difficult it makes it. Great isn't it?
Now two more wins will take us to the top of the league and really put the pressure on.
I still think we are heavy underdogs, but maybe a change in fortunes is comning. Just like last night, to win at the very end would be so sweet.

He:I dreamt about you last night.
She: Did you?'
He: No, you wouldn't let me!
Great to see Gary Caldwell have such a great game last night. We seem to forget that he's just turned 26 this month and if he strikes his true form, he could be doing the business for many years to come!
How does the song go?
'Christian Dailly's nearly forty....'
Hail! Hail!
-
chicos obviously bitter after the defeat
is quote re barry's 'assualt' on dailly is pure hyperbole
also his reaction re coin throwing
nothing about the huns being racist or running up the touchline after the goal
bitter hub
-
Terrymac,
that sounds ageist !!
-
Is it going to be Christian Dailly and David Weir as Rangers CB pairing at CP next? Craig Broons preferred partnership. I can see the both of them in full employment at the SFA in about 3 years from now.
-
Bieniex
Or Barry starting the 'ruck' at the end, or Potatoes being thrown at Celtic players.
Was it just me or did others hear Billy Boys at the game yesterday. I watched the game in the pub so it wasn't easy to hear but I was pretty sure I heard it.

Cream Buns are raging at being outplayed, outfought, out thought and out classed last night.Looking for bodies on the return .Mcculloch out for season with broken foot and Mcgreggor 2 weeks at least.Old firm or infirm, bring it on.

Lurgan53, last post,
No problems at all, as Cadizzy said, it is all tongue in cheek.
Actually it was a deranged poster who first called it a clique, he done it in a fit of pique, and we adopted the name.
Maybe some day we will welcome you too.
STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS,
Martin.

Martin
Would the clique jibe still click if we moved from BB's?
We could try Bar clickety-click (plus one).
See you there on Saturday. I'll try and get a seat in the (Sean) South corner.
-
Hope you lot are on a wee bonus with BB's for the extra sales you will be pulling in! :o)
One wonders if the European game wasn't in the mix if the SPL/SFA would manage to conspire to have Rangers play a game prior to the next match at Celtic Park to ease the red card impact! :o) Nah.. wouldnae happen.
Still awa into toon noo for a wee bottle or two of pop.
Toodle-oo
-
A wee Tim brought up to Fraser Wishart on Radio Snide the banner in Lisbon about Naka as Wishart is involved "show Racism a Red Card" and he should do something about it. Wishart just said report it to that group. Then a hun came on later and said that the banner is just a bit of banter. Later Wishart said to Martin/McGuire or whatever he calls himself that the Celtic fan only raised the issue to have a we dig at him. So I gather he does not plan to do anything about it. No change there.

Scotland Today report, and show slow-motion footage of, a mobile phone being thrown at Nobo as he celebrated his goal. No news on the missile thrown at Barry Robson - Bhardwaj-cam must have been missed that one.

My dear friend, Bhoy Sean...@17.42.
There was one guy..well, some say he might not quite be described as such....who, was the foist to mention Mr.Strachan's interest...in ...
The Dundee Baritone.
My furry companion, had been informed of Celtic's interest...very early on... and he and I were most pleased in the possibility that The Dundee Baritone ,was a possible Celtic Target.
We had watched Barry, and had decided that he was exactly the type of guy that we would like to have in our corner,in a knock down... bring yer knuckle-duster..Old Fashioned... S.P.L. typical Celtic versus the G.A. incendiary conflagration.
At the time...and I still harbour these same sentiments.....
I am in Favour of generously PEPPERING Our Team.. with former S.P.L. players.
The Elan and the Savoir Faire of the Smooth Continental bred player... is fine and dandy to have at your disposal... in the heady and sophisticated atmosphere... that is present in a clash between us and European opposition...
Howevaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.....
In the Bread and Jam ...Blood and Mucous...in the Burly and the Hurly of a typical S.P.L. contest....
Fugggggggggggetttttttttaboooooutit!
For that type of game...we need...
well...
S.P.L.ers!
Barry and to a certain extent...
Mr.Caldwell ...whom I am a firm and ardent BACKER...and have been for some time...Mr.Hartley, and Mr.Wilson... showed that very quality... in our recent thrashing of our hated rivals....
Yes, Virginia...
There is a place for non-sophistication in our lockers...after all!
I welcome, the recent interest that the Pierre and Company have been showing by their looking into other raids, in the Larders of our S.P.L Provincials Sporting Rivals.
I hope to see at least one of the following...maybe all THREE...at Celtic Park, next season...
The Jam Town Farmer's Son...
The Two erudite Scholars from the Dukedom...Known as the Two MACs.
What we have been lacking the past season...has been... Spirit...and Guts....
I have the sneaking suspicion that we have found it again...
Last Night's game... showed that we have at last found the Key ..the Rosetta Stone... that will un-lock the puzzling enigma of the Mr.Smith inspired....
TEN MEN BEHIND THE BA'.. and HIT OAN THE BREAK ...insolvable puzzle.
It is Called simply....
SPIRIT... TEAM SPIRIT...Pride of Club... Pride of Tradition...
This simple solution had been staring us in the face...but somehow it had been over-looked..
We have been to much caught up in TACTICS!
TACTICS? ... SMACKTICS!
Our players have been Playing like a Bunch of ZOMBIES...on DEMEROL!
My advice,to our Bhoys, before a game...would never vary
" Go out there, guys and do our Fans Proud...and....
GET STUCK IN TAE THEM... ANd TAKE NAE PRISONERS !"
That would be my sole instructions...
Tactics?
Balder...and Dash!
Kojo.
yer pal...who is feelin' mighty high!.... still!!!!!

Evening all still got a sore throat from the game.
On the potatoe being on the pitch I think you will find that Spanish Ned kicked it on. I noticed him trying to put Barry off at a corner with doing all the arm waving etc. I then saw him kick something and then the linesman lift it off the pitch.
If anyone has it taped its when we got the 4 corners in a row.
Clique number 1967 will hopefully be in BBs on Saturday.

Kojo:

Once again we see the NEANDERTHAL that follows what passes as football club in true light, their sheer hatered and bigotry of all who are different to the NEANDERTHAL RACE knows no limits and the club they pledge their loyalty to seem unashamed by their behaviour BUT THEN REASON WAS NOT A TRAIT OF NEANDERTHAL MAN
To watch the sheer spirit and fight to the end allied to the sublime football skill displayed by our beloved CELTIC was a joy to behold and puts us some light years ahead of the NEANDERTHAL RACE FROM WHEREVER THEY PLEDGE THEIR LOYALTY
PROUD TO BE A TIM

Anyone noticed the fall out from the "Sunday Herald" incident?

Cadizzy,
Thanks for the info....see you there on Saturday;
Big Swee,
Your comments on Novo are very similar to some I made on a previous thread today....including the selling of his soul to appease his masters. he really is detestable.

I watched the game in Flan O'Brien in town. Where you there by any chance?

jock stein played total and inventive football ,and crushed
the infamous cattenachio ultra
defensive style of anti-football
Now gordon strachan has done the same albeit without the total inventive football bit, smashed the wattenachio style, has the scared to lose walter now ran out of ideas on how football should be played
-
oh the poor little dears I'm shedding buckets of tears
from beeb
Rangers fear that Lee McCulloch could miss the rest of the season while Allan McGregor will be out for two weeks after being injured against Celtic.
Midfielder McCulloch lasted the 90 minutes of the 2-1 defeat but has a major ankle injury after a late challenge from Paul Hartley.
Loumacarisbettingslip
'scared to lose walter'. I never thought about it like that but I think you've hit the nail on the head

My dear,dear,dear,dear friend.. Bloke 109
Yer perpicacity o' perception is perfectly, peerless...my friend.
I see that my attempted adumbrations posed no obstacles to you in the solving.
I bow to your intellectual prowess.
Two of those players, were on our short leet at the last window... but I am sure that we will make a serious offer the next window.
These three guys, represent the exact type of individuals that we will need.
Young, loaded with potential..and . most definitely...
INEXPENSIVE...
There are other S.P.Ler s on our Radar... but, there are none that would fulfill the description intimated in your question... that I know of.
collie will be filling you in with his thoughts on our Targets at a later date.

bhoy sean was not in there last night but do watch some games in there suprised there where any huns in there
-
the land lord of kings head weston village was in he watched it down there as a load of huns came into his shop i was going to go down if we were up a few but we never turned them over by enough goals where youn from and what you doing in bath
-
You often get a few of them in for the Celtic V Rangers games as it's usually one of the few places that shows the games. They are all squaddies based down here. They're not aggressive in any way but they do indulge in some questionable songs but It's good to have them in though as it improves the atmosphere a lot. It was bouncing at the end and they looked miserable
I'm studying here at Bath Spa University but I've actually been down in England for a few years now though as I moved to Portsmouth from Clydebank when I was about 14.
I don't get down to Flans a lot as I'm often working but I normally make the bigger games. If you are ever in and see a 21 year old with rubbish hair feel free to say hello.
-
Swallow Swallow huns with scabies
Rats and bats and dogs with rabies
Chew and chew then in a while
Your mouths will overflow with bile
Hollow hollow ring the cries
Of supremacy from billy boys
Vapouring of mindless bragger
Posturing of knuckledragger
Follow follow all the while
A team devoid of art or style
No Vermeer no Botticelli
Just art novo with lots of welly
Sorrow sorrow woe and shame
Wherever is hello`d your name
The vilest chants of Billy Boys
Voice Scotland`s shame to the skies
Horror Horror is the thought
Can decency be set at nought?
Veritas!God`s not mocked
Weir suspended ,McGregor crocked
All you Tims I do beseech
Keep yor towels upon the beach
The reason I this message preach
We are going to win.The huns are keech
-
Setting Free Rhe Bears,
I, personally, abhor the word "Clique".
I only use it to infuriate and make fun of the deluded poster who first coined it.
If we move our headquarters from BBs, then I am sure there are more than enough real creative minds in our GANG to come up with a proper nom de plume.
More on that later.
STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS,
Martin.
-
what about craig bellamy getting booked for simply scoring against the huns at ibrox (because he didnt celebrate, he fell to his knees with his head in his hands)
that wee spanish nyaff novo running straight past the rangers end, wasnt interested in celebrating with his own crowd or peepel, and running and goading to the celtic end
running all the PAST his OWN crowd to the opposition end.....
any mention???

I'm the man who decided to be born and to live in Poland. Stakhanovec is right - it is not long distance from Warsaw to Lublin. Find my email address in my profile. Send me yours if you need my help now or later. Paul has my mobile phone number. For three weeks I'm more busy then usually and have limited time to be with a computer. Please give a call. It will be my pleasure to be your guide or advisor in my and Archie's country.
-
what a difference a week or to makes.........
watched the game with me mammy. funny enough, she said she was "proud of our bhoys tonight", in the 92nd minute.........
me too, like all the rest, THAT gives us our pride back, THAT is how you play the celtic way. GOING FORWARD.
after leaving just after the final whistle. i left my village to go to SHITBURN.
the guys dancing on the streets around the grange and commercial made me proud of my wee place. a place where we dont allow ourselves to be bullied.
-
Just back in real life after a lurk on Follow Follow.
Before I nip off for a shower, mes amis, I can report that confidence on the Darkside remains high, although they seem to be worrying more about the potential loss of McGregor than about McElbows.
Noticed some ribald hilarity concerning Nacho novo's Media conference today, posted on the BBC here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/7353277.stm.
I can't do the link thingy, but it's three mins in.
He says he had Aiden 'in my pocket'.
Pressed on the point, to sycophantic laughter from the gathered neutrals he retreated somewhat, but, nevertheless, I think someone at CP ought to be copying this and circulating it among the lhads for next Sunday.
I'd get it on a continuous loop on young Master McG's i pod.
If the sound of that wee dirty, cheating, rabble rousing charlatan, claiming to have our REAL poty in his pocket doesn't inspire a roasting of somone in blue next Sunday, I'm a Dutchman
And no, thanks for the offer Ranger's 'best Fans' (copyright wee Ignatius), I'll hang on here, if it's all the same to you, famine over or no.
I'm Scottish.
And Les Japonais don't eat dogs.
Racism, where would they be without it?
-
Kojo,
Thank you for your very kind words.
My love of Celtic, the club, the team and the support stands almost on a level with my love for my late wife, newish wife, my sons, and their wives and of course my grandchildren.
Along with this is my love for my beliefs, they all help keep me on a sure and strong path.
All the above three are the great constants in my life.
Last night I stood looking out over the field of dreams and thought to myself that I was such a lucky person.
I had my two sons by my side and some 50,000 other brothers sharing a great experience with me.
After the game I spoke to Winningemmell and tried to speak to E D B, two extra special brothers.
Kojo,
I must admit and I am sure you must agree, I walk in exalted company.
STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS,
Lord Martin of MOSSEND.
(Carfin being a sort of suburb of Mossend)
-
meant to say, there wasnt any fireworks in shitburn last night..........and i love it.
and the work today !!!!!!!
they all agreed that they were outfought, and outplayed.
that is most unusual.
-
now watching the game for a second time after being at it....and barry robson, certainly from the off, makes his physical presence felt on the park and the huns cannot stand it, they are going mental at the audacity of it all.
barry could well be the enforcer we have been waiting for as broon and gravesen have both failed to pick up the baton
blood, guts and snotters, we certainly showed 'em he!he!he!
-
This one is for the 'Nolast10minutesformethankyouverymuch'ers'.
picture the scene.
Celtic Park @ around 9:30'ish give or take a minute, we rose as one to our feet as we wathced a sublime lofted pass from Mr Gary (I was outstanding last night) Caldwell slowly but surely land pointblank on the forehead of Mr Scott (I missed a penalty but I'm alright now McDonald) as, whitacanygetit fails to intercept and the ball is nodded back across goal towards the outstreched neck of Mr Salt and Vinigar of Castlemilk who popped a magnificent 2nd goal into the net. Now picture a dancing, shouting, singing, jumping, hugging, delerious, joyfull, ecstatic support motioning as one beatiful animal feeding on our glory. Looking east the neanderthal falls to it's knees in desperation. Well multiply that by 1000 and you might get close to the feeling we felt last night.
Now picture this. There you were happily driving along the empty roads so exstatically happy in yourselves that you once again managed to get away before the crowd. Sitting in 5th gear listening to the self proclaimed comedians and their Gorybell when it is announced that the day has been saved and you hear us celebrate.
You must be so proud.
-
For once, Good prevails over Evil.
1 minor points to add:
Lots of you slagging off Nova. Yes, we all despise him for the little piece of merde that he is, but did anyone else notice how he changed the game when he came on. We need to look at that and be ready for the same again next Sunday.
Take him out of the proceedings last night and we'd have won by 3 or more goals. Luckily there were enogh guys in our side who wanted it as much as h did.
Hail hail
-
Cant we just lord in our well deserved victory over the evil ones without having sly digs at the fans who left early and mineshafters?
All are Celtic supporters.
The ma da,s bigger than your da,s rhetoric is becoming really tedious.
-
fan-a-tic, NO.
-
Martin42 - ML1 / ML4, Carfin, a suburb of Mossend? :-)
Anyway, I bet I've seen you around, especially if you also go to the wee roll 'n' sausage van outside the jobcentre like I've been doing, since I've been too lazy to make my lunch before work these days.
Great to be able to be on the winning side again, the Rangers fans in my work can't bear it (which is fair enough because neither can I, when we lose), a genuine question about the suspensions resulting from the melee at the end was even greeted with accusations of paranoia!
-
GUy from Ladbrokes on SSN saying huge amounts of money has been placed today on David O'Leary becoming Celtic manager. Odds have dropped from 33/1 to 2/1
-
moonbeams
How surprising.
-
SSN Reporting that Ladbrokes have had heavy money on David O'Leary to be next manager

Peter,
The world is a suburb of Mossend and that includes Wishy.
STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS,
Martin.
-
I also forgot to say, like most people on here, I thought Robson was magic last night, just what we've been missing. If given a run this season and next, I can see him regularly scoring goals for us, maybe not quite Pat McGinaly-esque, but a decent contribution not seen this season from our midfield.
-
I see, does the Lithy form the centrepoint of this ML4-centric world?
-
I must say, it is quite annoying that we are scheduled for lunch-time kick-offs for all our games after Aberdeen.
I can't recall all our lunchtime games, but they never seem to produce our finest moments.
-
fan-a-tic, it was nnot a sly dig but an in your face, you cannot misconstue my words dig mixed with some of the lording it up emotions I felt at the goal. Did you catch up with my response to your sad dig from the other day re. '...poster said he was a better celtic fan than me...'. Well it's there for you to go back and absorb when ever you feel the need. For your reference see 'How to beat Rangers Part 1' @ 09.58. Begins Fred C. Dobbs...
Anyway, re. the 'Nolast10minsformethankyouverymuch'ers', there is nothing that annoys me more than them. The racket they make as they rise with 10 to go, must be off putting to they players they go to support for 80 minutes. Walking across your path as you are trying to support your team is a major pain in the rear end. They know their team plays to the final whistle on each and every occasion so why not stay and enjoy what you pay for especially on the biggies like the Rankers and CL games. Unbelievable.
3-in-a-row-you-just-never-know
Hail Hail.
-
great stuff last night.
o'leary- no thanks
strachan must stay and finish his 5 year plan. he must be given real money to buy better quality players without having to sell his best ones
-
David O' Leary as Celtic Manager???
Let me say very quickly that I will most likely move into the Tiny Tim role of the new regime. I predict an utter complete disaster. Please do not let it happen! No one surely would be stupid enough to let cheque book O'Leary anywhere near Celtic Park.
-
fan-a-tic, I am not having a go at people who leave early but I do not understand it personally. Beat the traffic? Why? I imagine that nobody has arranged another pressing engagement( wedding? job interview? Desparate Housewives?) that starts so soon after the game ends that time is so tight.Leaving early is just for their own convenience. That is their right. iF Beating the traffic is more important than seeing Celtic beating Rangers in thelast minute .... or Shaktar, or AC Milan...maybe they think it's never going to happen...but that's a good few times this season we've won it at the death so the odds on it are good (and, anyway faithful through and through!)
One of the great things for me about those occasions is the absolute euphoria and the expression given to that by the fans as they leave.. the singing, the dancing...okay, no dancing, not on those stairwells. As I say, I do not condemn, well, only a wee bit, but I do not understand. Would you tear out the last page of a riveting book before you finish reading it? Would you walk out of a great film before it ends? Obviously I do not count the old peculiar circumstances when you'd come in to a film half way through then watch it on the repeat until it got to where you came in. A lot of posters on here are old enough to remember that nonsense, I'm sure
-
Look, it was only one game. Let's not get carried away.
Yes, Shunsuke showed (again) that he can play against Rangers. He was better at Ibrox, but hey, a goal and a half and half a goal makes up for that.
Okay, Gary did well in a Beckenbauerish sort of a way, but he still made those mistakes earlier in his Celtic career and it's a stick on that we'll lose more goals in the future while he's in defence.
It's tough being a Celtic centre back. Even tougher playing against one like Gary. Or Stephen.
And Aiden. Well, what a waste of space he was last night, somebody watching it on telly told me. And somebody sitting beside me at Celtic Park. I disagree. The space around Aiden last night was the most used, indeed overcrowded, space on the pitch. Nearly as bad as the huddle round the half time pies in the 67 Club. I worry about Aiden coming out in a rash, he was so close to so many blue jerseys for so long last night.
You know, I've seen the fancy dancers. The ones with the outrageous talent honed by years of being a big fish in a wee puddle. One dunt by the big boys and the head goes down. Another and it's everybody else's fault. The braver ones take a third before they disappear, but disappear they do.
Aiden did not have his most productive night delivery wise, but he worked his socks off from start to finish, his head never went down, and he tied at least two of them up for most of the night. Hide and Seek is not in his toy cupboard. We have to learn better how to exploit those performances from Aiden. We will.
But still, it was only one game, and we could have lost it.
Did you see Walter early on, just after Shunske scored and we got another corner almost immediately? His arms were folded around himself so tightly that I worried for the back seam of his no doubt exensive suit jacket. And I thought of the comment on here a while ago that Walter was "laughing up his sleeve" at Gordon and his tactics. In that moment Walter looked like a man who knew he had been sussed, and the sleeves were tighly shut.
About Gordon's tactics. How could he possibly take off our MOM Barry Robson? Anothder idiotic decision from our manager, it was obvious that McDonald should have gone.
Except. Paul Hartley did the midfield defensive role to support three up impeccably. And the three up won the game for us. But then, what do I know about tactics? Maybe we just got lucky. (Ya beauty, at last!!!!)
But hey, it's only one game, and we'll probably still lose the league. A battle lost. Maybe. The war goes on....
Only one game. Like Paul, the next one cannot come quickly enough for me. As for next season, and our continuing improvement....
PS
To the guy who said at half time last night "a good Celtic team would be four up against this mob" - balderdash sir, utter balderdash. You know nothing about the history of these games if you believe that you were watching a not good Celtic side last night, and you would have been well advised to give your ticket to my nephew, who was desperate to see the game but missed out. In fact, you could redeem yourself by giving him your ticket for the next one, if you've got one.

I would throw myself in the canal if O'Leary became our manager besides why would Wee Gordon leave when he has a chance to win 4 SPL Titles in a row next season.

I think the next encounter
will be different,They hate getting beat by us and walter ned from govan has instilled in them a hatred of all things celtic, catholic and irish, you can almost feel the hate infested bile that pours forth from every facet of rangers from the chairman down to the flies and beetles ,they are even infested of a hatred of our great club, with sally swine giving it nofs and winks, dont worry sally your jokey patter doesnt fool us,you detest us just as much as the moronic fans you praise
Next game they will come out all guns blazing ,they want revenge barry robson any celtic player beware the lunging two footer the elbows, the cousin back headbutt, the tactics of the loser and hurting bear will be there game plan
we must stand firm, dont winch from whats going to hit us,they will be on a sucidal revenge mission with orders to kick maim inflict any diabolical challenge on us,and the reason why walter is hurting so bad,at nights he cant sleep forget the scottish cup or uefa cup ,We beat him and in his schizoid hatred of us he wants revenge, revenge at all costs ,fellow tims we cannot allow this madman any succour in his mission
we will stand firm and defeat the beast from hell and send him back from whence he came

Chennai, you had me wondering who was you and who was the alter ego for a second but, assuming I got it right, spot on. One thing you said
"I worry about Aiden coming out in a rash, he was so close to so many blue jerseys for so long last night."
When I was very young, I remember my dad referring to certain people as having scurvy necks. It took me a while he was talking about people wearing Rangers scarves so maybe the rash is a real medical threat

maybe the o'leary story is out there to unite us behind our manager
-
Pastyface, you may be right. O'Leary would never come to Celtic..given our more sensible approach to the transfer market than Mr Ridsdale

If the Blue Meanies hard man is injured, it didn't happen from the Hartley tackle. I watched the game at the club and it is a Setanta feed, the first replay clearly shows PH sliding right by him, absolutely no contact whatsoever!
Funny thing is they never showed that angle again. Quite hilarious to see McCullough with his twisting one and a half into a full gainer then feining injury and goes on to play the full game.
Gimme a break!

I understand how annoying it is having people leave early and cross your path while the game still has time remaining. But that is the human fabric we all are slightly different even in our support for Celtic.
These differences do not make us better or worse Celtic supporters.
moonbeams.
I stated how ironic it was that a Celtic supporter who disagreed with fellow fans and told them to get a season ticket to ibrox told me he was a better Celtic supporter than I.
Your constant digs at fellow supporters does seem to suggest that you really believe this.Fair play to you if this is true but today is a day for celebration there is no need to have a go at fellow fans.
As i have often stated i am not a GS fan but last night he got it right so i take my hat off to him.

I thought the same pastyface but I think this one has come from the other side. O'Leary was heavily tipped during the chase for MON. However the Daily Mail are running with a story about benfica approaching Celtic for Gordon and possibly paying us compensation for the privelege. Perhaps both stories are Dermot Desmond runners (Is Donald Sutherland modelled on him in Dirty sexy money btw). Strange, something afoot.
the daily Mail did run an exclusive the other day that Rangers were still thinking about asking for an extension and the story was favourably slanted to what the spokeshun had to say. Am I alone in being suspicious about the media hanging on to this story a la MON in the black Sunday season?
Question is how do we spin it back to them...

Excerpt from the Canal News
"People were astounded to hear claims from the narrowbhoattim that his clearly drunken tumble into the canal was actually a deliberate act on his party after hearing that spendaholic David O'Leary had been appointed manager of Glasgow Celtic. Observers were quick to point out that Celtic have Peter Lawwell as CEO (who hopefully reads this newspaper!!!!)
and he would never countenance such profligate behaviour by a Celtic manager. Other narrowboatere think that Tim should just 'fess up like they have had to do when caught. However, they did add but like the Barnsley we're not bitter.

Great result and performance the other night. well done all the players and "The manager".
Just wanted to put this observation to the blog. Did u know that if we win our next 3 games we will be 8 points clear of the darkside with them having 4 games in hand.
if we win our next 3 games against aberdeen, them and motherwell(may 3) (they dont play in the spl until may 4 after playing us again) we really can put the pressure on them.
They will then have to play hibs away (possible points lost). Motherwell at home (maybe a draw). Home to D UTD(Possible loss). Then Aberdeen away(possible points dropped). And they still have the other 2 oustanding matches to play.
Time to put the pressure on, 3 in a row, keep the faith.
