I can't believe we're away on the last day.
-
And who would have believed that random possibility of Tango and Sash playing the Huns on the last day.... again.
See that law of probability....
-
McGrory For Arsenal, thanks for replying on the last thread.
I still maintain that I have never agressively shouted you down as you accused me of doing & I honestly don't understand why you have a problem with me changing my mind about Gordon Strachan's position at the Club.
It's in my nature to give the Celtic Manager my 100% support until he shows me that he's inacapable of bringing success to the Club. Up until two weeks ago I was very confident that we would win the league. Sadly, the results against Rangers & Motherwell make that unlikely & so I have reassessed my view. Surely it's simply common sense to react to events as they occur?
After Saturday, I also accept that, even if we were to win the league (unlikely, I know) there is probably no way back for Gordon Strachan now - Saturday seems to have been a watershed & a defining moment in his relationship with the support.
I'm perfectly capable of reaching these opinions under my own steam & I still resent your accusation that I was simply slavishly following Paul67's line on the subject.
If things had turned out differently this season it would have been unfair of me to accuse you of being sycophantic towards, say, gweedorebhoy & tinytim (just for example) because you shared their views on the Manager.
I respect their views & yours. In return I would expect you to afford the same courtesy to me and anybody else on the blog who happens to share mine.

Are there any odds been given that those outstanding games for Rangers will be played after the 18th May
and what would be our stance if it were to happen. How many Rangers, St. Mirren and Motherwell players are involved in Euro 2008?
-
5 games after the split. 3 home and 2 away. Yet we still play away on the final day. Not that I think it will matter but it just shows that they don't miss a trick.
-
Away on the final day again.
Hunbelievable.
-
ANNAOAN.
Surely even the SPL administrators wouldn't be THAT blatant.
There could be no justification for it.
-
Wizard, well spotted. What chance those two will do another Dunfermline?
Sending Celtic away from home on the final day adds the crime of fixture gerrymandering to the long list of cheating this season.
Awe Naw, I believe our man has been active on that front and is likely to get his way, but nothing has been decided yet.
-
If by some chance the last day turned out to be a helicopter Sunday(in a good way!), do we hang about Dundee to give them a wave on their way back down the road????

Posted this earlier - but 'missed the cut'! I know it’s a bit late for a ‘previous thread’ comment (now 'previous, previous thread!), but I’m just catching up since last night.
Weeron @01:29, Taurangabhoy @06:20, Stoir Mha Chroi @ 08:39, 3inarow@09:39, Fred C. Dobbs, Tooheys_new, canamalar, bhoysfour, Falkirk Bhoy, abmucker, and from this thread - StevieS, Ritchie Donovan and many many more – keep tellin it! And btw Kojo – you’re not the only one that’s been saying some of the things you’ve been saying recently.
I know one or two of you (above) have reluctantly accepted that Gordon has to go. I don’t agree and as I said on Sunday, I think he’s done enough to deserve another season to try to put things back on track. For all those who think losing the league after winning it in his first and second seasons and getting to the last 16 of the CL is the record of a poor manager or is in any way comparable to the record of John Barnes, I’d ask you (again) to bring a bit of perspective to bear. I would hate to see Gordon forced out because he’s had one iffy season.
Martin O’Neill – and I was and am a huge fan of his – won ‘only’ 3 out of 5 and didn’t get us through the CL group stages – he didn’t have fans on his back calling for him to get the sack.
So what is it about Strachan that so many Celtic fans seem to dislike? His stubbornness? His blindspots/favouritism? His refusal to play good players? His arrogance? His contempt for the media? The fact that he thinks he knows better than the rest of us? His fallibility? How many of us share all, most, or some of these traits?
People have spoken about dignity (yes, dignity – let’s reclaim that word). If Gordon Strachan has to go, then the least we owe him is gratitude for what he has achieved – and to match MON’s achievements is surely an impressive record overall? – and for him to go without ridicule or abuse from Celtic fans. Most of his detractors on this site have said as much. The rest – Celtic fans who take pleasure in ridiculing their fellow fans, the manager and/or the players – if you can’t show respect to fellow Celtic fans, please take your abusive comments elsewhere.
And Dick Byrne (this thread) - good point, well argued.

I fear it'll be too by late then but in the last three seasons that the league has been tight ( I use that term loosely in respect of this year , but I aint giving up completely yet)
2003, 2005 and 2008
we have been away on the final day on each occasion.
What are the odds?

PL made his inital statement about those games and as far as we were concerned it was unprompted. My paranoia shadow told me that he´d heard whispers so he nipped it in the bud.
Next day Murray was over the back pages about spending every penny. I wondered who he was talking too.
It all died down until this week where Walter brought it back up again. Stating that nobody from Rangers initally brought this up but there may be no other way. A bit akin too Scotlands doctor was acting in Celtic best interest by sending Barry Robson home.
If Rangers make it to the UC final. I think the SFA will reward them for the fourth last time this season. Murray gets Walter out in public to sway the sychophants . NIAR, resurrecting Scotland, resurrecting Rangers and putting Celtic to the sword ... they´ll convince themselves he deserves it.
I have seen enough this year to fully expect it. If we complain we´ll be portrayed as sore losers and people tell me things have got better in Scotland.
OH NO IT HASN`T

Now do you all believe we were not going to be allowed to win the league this season?

Rangers will lose to Sporting Lisbon on Thursday.
Their fixtures will pan out as follows:
Sun 13th AWAY SC Cup v Partick
Wed 16th AWAY v Celtic
Sun 20th SC CUP (N) v St Johnstone
Wed 23rd AWAY v St Mirren
Sun 27th AWAY v Celtic
Wed 30th AWAY v Motherwell
Sun 4th AWAY v Hibs
Wed 7th HOME v Motherwell
Sat 10th HOME v Dundee Utd
Sun 18th AWAY v Aberdeen
That is a tough run of away fixtures. I would have fancied our chances after watching them on Sunday ---- if I hadn't watched us on Satruday first!!
-
gerryadams'beard...
Just to pick out one wee thing from your well argued post.
"Martin O’Neill – and I was and am a huge fan of his – won ‘only’ 3 out of 5 and didn’t get us through the CL group stages – he didn’t have fans on his back calling for him to get the sack."
The reason for this was that in his two failed seasons - one being post Seville, the other Black Sunday - the players and management demonstrated all out effort in a bid to retain their title. Granted, they ran out of steam on the final day at Motherwell in 2005, but they got to the final day, in a position to win it.
The current side are not showing any of that type of spirit or heart. And, despite Kojo's spirited defence of the manager, the buck, I am afraid, stops at Gordon Strachan.
-
U2
Yer havin a laugh. Which MIBs is Edward bringing to the party?
CHEATS.
-
Paul67,
See that result on Saturday, it has cost us our revenge on Black Sunday. I believe if we had won on Saturday, their backside was going to explode. Think about it??
We won on Sturday it would have been down to 4 points with a game in hand. They lose to Sporting, out of the UEFA pressure well and truly on. They then come to Parkhead the follwoing week knowing a defeat would probably mean 1 point with a game in hand and still one old firm game left. We could have witnessed their very own Black Sunday.
But what happens??? Gordon arses up his team selection, plays the usual suspects not performing and we don't even get to see how Walter and co woud have been able to cope.
-
Gordon:'Hi, Walter. I know it won't happen but just in case by some chance timmy happens to beat you twice and things are looking a bit dodgy at the beginning of May, how does 2 home games and a visit to Brothers Calderwood and Nichol suit you for the last 3 fixtures?
-
EDB :- Is that a real question or just an insult? If it's an actual question then it's too vague for me to answer.
I see that depite me asking earlier you haven't said what posts of mine you consider to be racist/sectarian/supremacist.
-
The 13.30 kick-off should allow Agent Orange and the boys plenty of time to board an early tea-time flight to Spain or wherever it is they've planned their last day holiday to this year.
Hope to God we won't need 1 - but I wonder who'll be our Chris Sutton this year??
-
DickByrne...
as I said apologies if I missed the mark.
I have posted before about the groupthink which takes place on this blog.
last week strachan was a better manager than the Barcelona incumbent..... we drop 1 point in the race and all of a sudden he is a worse manager than the west bromwich albions!!??
For me the evidence of his gross incompetence was apparent long before the weekend.
(never before has Stein's famous quote ''...Celtic jerseys dont shrink for inferior players...'' been made so irrelevant)
but the few that pointed that out were shouted down as huns and daily record readers.
Paul67 would react , often aggressively, to those that critcised strachan but pat on the back those that lauded strachan's achievements.
We drop 1 point in the title race, Paul67 states its the end for Strachan and suddenly its the majority (groupthink) few on the blog???????
I (genuinely) accept that you reached that view independently but you can see my point....
I just want this incompetent manager out as soon as possible.
-
Edward
Primarily I have intended to insult you tonight.
When it suits I'll get into the whys and wherefores.
I detest your club and all that it represents in my country.

Celtic travelling north to Dundee on the same day as Rangers travel north for Aberdeen. Absolute and utter madness. If it's a league decider the journey home will be even more dangerous.
You couldn't make it up.

-
wizardofoz - cheers for your comment. I don't disagree that ultimately, the buck stops with the manager. And I take your points about Seville etc.. But I don't think there's been a lack of effort from Gordon Strachan or from the players. Bad decisions, yes, some inconsistent performances, but not a lack of effort. We just haven't been able to turn pressure into goals into points.
But if I can argue there's another difference - this league isn't over yet! And on paper, they've got the harder run-in, which we all know about. I know, I don't see where the inspiration's going to come from for us to take advantage of the home fixtures - especially if a lot of the support have thrown in the towel. But it ain't over till it's over.

at the risk of being too p.c., and of intruding on a private argument, I think your 'intention to insult' Edward is uncalled for.
That said, I wholeheartedly agree with your view on his club.

An absolute joke-
what else would you expect from the SPL this season?
Every POSSIBLE help has been given to the huns

aka

Edward Ursus-
you state that all pro teams are lying cheats-
I only see one.
If you can't feel any sense of embarrassment-
at the help you have had from referees AND linesmen,
the feigning injury,
the diving,
the lying,
the pulling out of the Scotland squad by UNINJURED players,
the asking for the postponement of a match against Gretna before your Champions League HUMILIATION-
at home-
by Lyon,
the unbookable,
throat grabbing,
hacking,
mouthing off at the ref,
captain,
the STONEWALL penalties not given against your team,
the fact that the dirtiest player I have EVER seen in football,
Lee McCulloch-who should have been sine died -
for some of his attempts to injure fellow pros-
has less bookings than the most fouled player in the SPL,
Then you're not the man you have been pretending to be.
Away and belt out "the billy boys"

Bloke 109
Unfortunately I think it will be the London Huns as I think the momentum is now with them.
Of the three I would have preferred the Gooners -but I think they've had it - pity!
-
gerryadams'beard
Agree, it ain't over till it's over. And watching the Hun highlights right now, Dundee Utd are playing through them, with the wide men, coming in and pressing their full backs. They are definitely beatable.
But are we able to beat them? We need to play far, far better than we are doing right now.
I will continue to hope and I will support Celtic, all the way, until the numbers say it's over.
BTW, no great surprise on the pathetic Scotsport highlights programme....No showing Walter in the tunnel or Boyd's blatant dive. Not even a mention.

The Daily Mail. Thats my preferred daily read. On the odd occasion, the Mrs sometimes buys the Sun. She bought it today. Had a look at the back pages when I got home from work. Cat's still up on the roof from tea time when I booted it up there and the dog's still cowering somewhere upstairs after the same treatment. Don't even mention the budgies or the iguana. The reason for my foul temper? Have a read at Leckies column. HE IS REVELLING IN OUR MISERY. Last night while reading the blog, I was almost convinced by most posts saying Gordons time was up. Not now. I'm all for giving the wee man another chance because I think he deserves it. Leckies column has me convinced that we must. Just to GIRUH when we walk the league next year. I will not allow him to jaundice my view on the wee fella.
EdwardUrsus.
I know you can defend yourself just by reading your posts, but, I'd like to say to all those giving you a hard time. I have many good friends who are good bluenoses, and believe me I'm getting some stick from them at the moment. Good luck to them. I'd be doing the exact same thing if the shoe was on the other foot. Are we so bitter that we can't take a little kidology. Keep them coming Edward, but remember, revenge is sweet.
-
Kojo,
From the previous thread, you have misrepresented my question. My question was simply this:-
"Is there ONE Celtic supporter - just ONE - on this blog who, at 2.45pm on Saturday could honestly say that they felt the manager had picked the right team?"
Your answer rambles a little, but the gist of it has "who am I to question the manager, he knows more than I do" running through it.
Has our manager acquired an infallibility while I wasn't looking?
Your post ran up a cul de sac. Or, in playground speak, you pretended you wanted to take up the challenge but ye ran away.
No worries.
You know, I have a feeling we can still do it. If the manager gets those players on the park who will fight the fight until the last second I still feel it's possible.
That is one helluva run of games they have.
Gordon - pleeaase pleeaase get Balde, Wilson, Hartley and Robson in that team and go with Samaras in every game from the start.
Pleeaase.
Tippy-Tappy football is not required at this stage of the season.

Kojo,
Gordon has got to show a bit of humility on Sunday. He's got to show the supporters that he's had enough of people who don't deserve the jersey.
Drop McManus, drop JVOH and drop Mr Naylor. Tell them they have had their chance and now it's time to give other players a shot. If not Balde then give Master O'Dea a chance along Caldwell and make Artur or Paul Hartley captain.
If after Saturday this does not materialise then it'll never will and it's time to cut our losses and get a new man in with new ideas.
WGS (who believes if Gordon does not ditch his defenders then say cherrio to your job)
-
Kojo :- Thanks for the advice, I do appreciate it and know it's meant with the best of intentions. I've been insulted a couple of times on here and normally it doesn't bother me, it's like water off a ducks back and goes with sticking your head above the parapet. However this time round I'm being accused of making a type of post that goes against all that I believe in and I feel it would be wrong to crouch and accept that.
Thanks again for the advice and I will follow it in almost every case.

Antsman, I know. My heart’s not in it as much as it was last week. I’ll write a fixture article tomorrow and it will be clear that anything can still happen, but Celtic are not doing their part.
o1bhoy, I wouldn’t have thought that possible, but I’ve v limited internet access at the moment so am having trouble getting anything done.
Awe Naw, I can assure you that the subject of extending the season was first raised by Rangers.
WGS, I’m with you on that one.
-
Edward
Your mask has slipped.
-
Sorry to be controversial again, particularly as my bedtime awaits, but assuming the apparently inevitable does happen and the Forces of Darkness do win the league, would a reasonable man be more likely to say the reason Celtic lost the league was either:
a) because the FOD got every decision going? or
b) because Celtic have been largely rubbish all season?
For me, the conspiracy theories deflect from the fact that too many Celtic players have not been at the races for most of the season.
Whilst GS has made some horrendous decisions this season (Massimo Donnati????) he is surely right on at least one thing - formations don't win you games, players do. 4-4-2, 4-3-3 etc are laregly irrelevant - a professional footballer must surely know when it is right to break from your position to support a player for a pass, or to cover for a defender. Unfortunately, too many players seem incapable of doing so, for which GS must take some blame as he keeps playing the same players week-in, week out.
-
sixo'clock
I agree, unfortunately, and they still have to play Manure.
U2
Assuming fitness, I agree with your player choices, and with your sentiment. Away to Motherwell, on a tight, muddy, patchy pitch, there is no better time to get stuck in, and re-discover the fight, the verve, are I say it, the luck. We have the players, do we have the cajones?
-
Guys If we still have a meaningful game on the 18th May I would rather we were playing at Tannadice with the away fans roaring us on rather than playing in front of 60k nervous fans who will spread their jitters on to the pitch.
The SPL fix outburts should be curtailed.
Last 6 years our Post Split fixtures were as follows.
02/03 AAAHH ( Last Game Home should have been away. Fix?)
03/04 AHHAH ( Last Game Home As expected)
04/05 AHHAA ( Last Game Away As expected)
05/06 HHAHA ( Last Game Away. Fix?)
06/07 AHAHA ( Last game Away as Expected.
07/08 HHAHA ( Last game away. Fix?)
So three out of six seasons we see the last game where it should be according to the Home/ Away split.
Of the remaining three seasons we are beneficiaries once (02/03) and losers 05/06 and this season.
They are still out to get us but please set the paranoid guns to stun only.

While I detest his club and all they revel in standing for and all the help they get at our expense I'm sorry but I cant agree with the personal nature of the attacks on EU here.
Ive never met the guy and so can judge him only by his posts - he doesnt hide so far as I can see when his team are on the losing end and I for one dont consider his posts to be other than rational , even if I dont agree with them.
EU -- so youre not confused about any of this -- I hope your team get gubbed every time they play and I , for one , would be embarrassed at the legups your team get -- see my earlier post

WGS,
With regards to your response to Kojo @ 23:12 (excuse me for butting in) but I can't for the life of me see how humility comes into it? The manager is paid a lot of money to make tough decisions - would you respect the man any more if he ceded to supporter pressure? He is paid for his judgement - he's not there to take on board our amateur opinions.
Please don't get me wrong - I am no great fan of Gordon Strachan and (in my position as armchair coach) find many of his team selections/tactics quite baffling - but he's not in a popularity contest and he's not there to succumb to popular wisdon.
He will make his own decisions and he will be judged (or has been judged) based on those decisions.
And I wouldn't wish it any other way. Would you?
-
Onlooker,
The problem isn't so much what the SPL decides the final fixtures should be but the fact that the system gives them such power. The awful split allows that to happen. They simply choose what they want and we all know their motivations.
Why cant we have a simple system like La Liga? Each team plays each other in the first half of the season. And then the fixtures are reversed for the second half of the season.
Takes any skullduggery, real or imagined, out of things.
But then that would be the preverbial level playing field and we all know that just can't be allowed in Scottish football.

I'm glad we're away from home for the last game, the away support has been far superior, and IMO the twelfth man at home has lost us points this season.
Recordreporter and all your pals, you and your three year persecution of the manager has cost us the title this year, I have in my 40 years of going to Celtic park, never witnessed the vitriol and abuse aimed at a Celtic team & manager, as this year.
You and your ilk have undermined the confidence of the players on the park, you have spent so much time and energy telling the manager he cant pick a team, that he has become entrenched in trying to prove you wrong.
I phoned radio snyde a few months ago accusing the authorities of cheating and had no dissenters on here, in fact I was applauded for my stammering attempt, I have watched obvious cheating and said my bit. I IMO watched similar on saturday when the ref stopped a couple of Celtic attacks to pull play back. You may not have noticed through your red mist during your manager hating frenzy.
Between your ilk and the authorities, what chance has the manager got?
malceye and the rest of you celtic fans, my message to you is, when it comes time to chose wether to renew your season book, go fourth and multiply.

o1bhoy - if that's the case then I think we can safely say Agent Orange & Nicholl will grant the Celtic contingent a day off to go fishing -or start packing their suitcases early!!

A question for the SPL
Why do you not publish the fixtures for the post split at the start of the season ie
Celtic v Rangers 19th April
Hearts v Celtic 26th April
Celtic v Hibs 4th May
Falkirk v Celtic 11th May
Celtic v Aberdeen 18th May
and then substitute the team who make the top 6 at the expense of the other ie
Motherwell and Dundee Utd taking Hearts and Falkirk fixtures.
Simple and honest and up front
-

Ed,
nobody said you were supremist. That´s a typical hun tactic btw.
I said you supported one that was openly so up until about 20 year ago. Its still anti catholic anti Irish and has problems with its identity. It isn´t surprising based on that ideaology I´m sure we´d agree if debated and that I dont doubt from you and you are right to protest. I´ll apologise to you but for me it is difficult to accept your easy and open association with that club and notice that you dont or cant stop or crouch from the association. You do seem to crouch and stop .... lets call it hesitational avoidance and semi analysis of the scenarios "when confronted with the smoking gun ? for me thats 3 yellow cards in 4 months of SPL football and as a regular on here you know it´s not a reaction to losing from us? Maybe a little harder but I hope you see where I am coming from?
but keep it coming. If you cannot laugh at yourself you shouldn´t be laughing.

Edward,
I am unfortunate enough to have supporters of your team in my family. We argue frequently over football but agree on one thing - we are much more handsome than you lot!
I am firmly of the belief that being a supporter of Rangers the team does not mean you are automatically a supporter of their "traditions", of their "superior race" ethos or of their inherent religious intolerance.
Most are, and I truly believe that. Some who aren't behave as if they are at the games, which is just as bad, if not worse.
But some are not. Like my inlaws, I believe from everything I've witnessed on this site that you are in the latter category.

McGrory For Arsenal,
The sad truth of the matter (from my perspective) is that those of us who were formerly pro-Strachan don't have much of a leg to stand on any more.
It seemed very obvious to me on Saturday night that he was all but done & I'd imagine several other CQNers would have felt the same regardless of what Paul went on to say.
For the record, I've posted here in the past about my disapproval of calling other posters "huns" (apart from Ed of course).
I don't doubt that we have the same common cause even if we do have different opinions about the best way to go about achieving it.

Just watching Fir Park on that excuse for a football show on STV.
New turf up the wings, central area is a mess.

ANNAOAN :- I have openly condemned the sectarian signing policy that was in place at Ibrox and I'm in full agreement with you that it was disgusting. There seems to be a slight mix up though, when I said I wouldn't crouch I wasn't refering to any football argument or disagreement but to the fact that I had been accused of making posts of a "croppie lie down" type.
To my mind that would be posts of a racist sectarian type that are derogatery to Irish Catholics, I'm just not like that and resented the fact that someone said I was.
In the interests of the blog I think that on second thoughts I'll partially take Kojo's advice and just ignore the two posters in question and they can do the same with me.

ANNAOAN :- Sorry problems with copy and paste, I didn't for a second mean you had accused me of being supremacist and I'm sorry if that's the way it came over, it was a reference to the earlier allegations made about me.

Dick Byrne @ 2344.
Agree completely with your take on Gordon Strachan's situation.
However, despite your dislike of the term, I reserve the right to call them Huns. Sorry.
Hail hail.

the long wait.
Merely ponting out that in the two previous close finishes we were due to play away on the final day as we had opened both those seasons at Celtic Park with th eflag raising ceremony.
I don't want us to focus on the conspiracies , self pity and self destruction but on winning all our remaining games ( and lets see what happens).
There will be plenty of time later for tears of joy or sorrow.
In the meantime lets get behind the team and ALL our current employees.
We have an entire summer to explore the fix's, we're a long time dead but we're not dead yet.

Sorry Dick Byrne....never really read you right there. I have never referred to a fellow poster as a Hun.
I reserve that for real Huns.
My bad.

Why are some of us taking our angst out on Ed ?
Desist.
Pretty please.

EdwardUrsus said… " I've been insulted a couple of times on here and normally it doesn't bother me, it's like water off a ducks back and goes with sticking your head above the parapet"
Oh yeah! Then if your intentions are so innocent how come you slip in an anagram of PAPE RAT?

I'm at the wind-up, natch! :)

The fixture list has been manipulated since last June.
No-one listened to me then when I cracked up and explained in detail how we were being shafted.
If we're still in it going to Tannadice we will win the league there same as we did on my 18th birthday.

One Star
It's also an anagram of Ape Prat, so I reckon he insulted Rankers fans too.
It really is too long to wait till Sunday for a game with all this rancour flying around. Anybody fancy the youth game at CP on Wed night & pm kick off.

Canamalar @ 23:37,
You state that "the away support has been far superior". Is that the "we arra peepul" brand of superiority?
You also opine that "the twelfth man at home has lost us points this season" concluding that "...your three year persecution of the manager has cost us the title this year".
Are we to assume that this "persecution" has a withering or delayed effect, it not appearing to impact the team's ability to succeed in seasons 1 & 2?
Or perhaps you're just making it up as you go along?
"You and your ilk" - don't you just love the cyber hard man? If only we were all as good supporters as you we'd now be looking at European domination.
"Go fourth and multiply" - I don't think things are quite that bad - I'm quite confident, even with Gordon at the helm, we should manage to hang onto 2nd spot....
-
Ed,
glad it was just a misunderstanding.
Your going to be a td busy tonight it would seem and no slouching away either :-)... ah just the joy of following the Celtic Story Huh ? ;-)
-
WG,
Surely taking our our angst on an opposition fan is better than taking it out on each other, as some are want to do?

Time for my bed.
Nite all.

dickb....
afinal apology if ive misinterpreted.. no harm intended..
I just felt it was so obvious he was not fit for purpose, I got a little irate with posters that would toe the blog's partyline
Criticise Strachan and Paul67+the usual suspects vehemently shout you down... Praise Strachan and Paul67 says ''well done that man''
Smith plays the same format , has done for years.
There were no surprises in store in any of the 4 huns matches. yet strachan couldnt (or more worryingly, wouldnt) adapt to meet this challenge.
we got beat 4 times without scoring a goal.... and they are a poor team.
If we had to play rankers at Ibrox again tomorrow he would start with Naka , again!
He would... and when does naive become stubborn, when does stubborn become stupid.
His defenders harp on about Europe.... ok.. explain losing 5 goals against Artmedia Blinkin Bratislava.
explain playing killen in benfica?
We were v.lucky to beat Manu (then needed a point in copenhagen to avoid a big gun in knock -out)we capitulated 3-1.
We needed a point this season in milan (against a team that had qualified) we were awful and lost but got a break with the shaktar result. (to say nothing of the last minute deflections that got us wins at home)
MON was unlucky in Europe and Strachan was often lucky. He still did ok in europe, but winning 3 of your 10 matches in europe this season is just that....ok!
Clyde?
Paul Telfer? mo camara? Virgo? ross wallace, repeatedly, at left back? Playing pressley at Inverness instead of Balde? mark wilson? that midfield at Ibrox: Sno,Naka,Donati?
