Points are never easy to win in May

| | Comments (367)

I am not going to tell you that I would rather have points on the board than have our destiny in our own hands, but it's a close thing.  Celtic are in their best form in years, but even recent home games against Aberdeen and Hibs were fraught with tension; no points are easily won in May.

Well, it might be Motherwell today or St. Mirren or it might go to the last thursday but someone will be the new Albert Kidd.

Let's hope Motherwell take at least one today.

Just to retain focus.

Someone will be the new Albert Kidd so long as we do not let a Dundee United player become the new Scott McDonald.

Paul67;
Thanks for the info.
I still feel that if we decline joint deals then it also leaves the bigots on their own. Who wants to get into bed with that lot?
Come on the hoops!

Celtic_First, not a word.

Bankiebhoy1, getting marketing benefits of your sponsorship is a tricky business. Remember, we even have Celtic fans on here complaining about Nike and having Carling on the jerseys.

I agree, it is very important to communicate the value of these associations to the club and I try to encourage people to support our sponsors.

Rangers were days away from signing an inferior deal when they were approached by one of the main joint sponsors (who were at that point close to concluding with Celtic). You can understand why the sponsor acted as they did.

copied over from the end of the last thread:

Macjay:

If I were Chairman of Celtic Football Club - I’d rip the Carling Logo from our shirts tomorrow. I’d thank them for all their previous sponsorship and return the cheque in full.

If I were the Chairman of Celtic Football Club - I’d play each week with a different charities name emblazoned across the chest of the Celtic players.

Not because I was mad at Carling, what happened in Manchester to slight the good name of good Scottish football supporters was nothing to do with Carling, but they do sponsor Rangers FC. On that basis alone I would not wish to do business with them.

I would make the Celtic Shirt a ‘charity of the week’ shirt. An exclusive shirt that could later be auctioned to present - that charity of the week - with further funds.

I’d rather sponsor charity and take the hit than endorse sponsors who sponsor football filth.

Grasp the nettle. Macjay… if I was the Chairman of Celtic Football Club… how many nettles, how many times.

Put light years between us and them and do it now. Today. This minute.

From last thread:

falkirkbhoy: I think we need to be careful here and make sure we separate the real issues from the myths. I am not at all sure that that was why the socks were used, even though it might seem convenient to believe that and I have no doubt that some Rangers fans are happy with that association.

Likewise, I clearly recall a Rangers fan I knew talking about the "Bouncy Bouncy" - I only knew him for about a year around 1988/9 so that obviously pre-dates the killing of Robert Hammill, yet some Celtic fans are pushing the line that the Bouncy Bouncy - relates to that murder. Maybe some of his killers did shout that at the time - I don't know. Some today might even shout "on the Fenian's head" when they do it - I don't know. But it was a practice before Robert Hammill was murdered.

By focussing on issues that aren't verifiably true, Celtic supporters are giving the FF crowd easy hits in saying that we are just intent on spreading lies about them.

There are enough absolutely indisputable examples of bigotry and disgusting behaviour by Rangers and thousands of their supporters and we need to focus on them.

Just how much the UEFA defeat took out of the Gers team will dictate todays result I reckon.....they looked gutted on Wed' and suspect it will cause some weaker minded players to simply not be at the races! e.g. Whittaker \ Braodfoot looked distraught.....

Mark McGhee will I'm sure want to win today for himself and his fans....and maybe his good buddy Gordon Strachan.

Walters crew now run the 3 game ganutlet and a goal or three for Well might just cause the cracks to show.......

we all know last week they were given the points they craved by a cheatin' scumbag...(despicable)......and I guess that is now y'days news after the recent warzone antics by the travelling hoardes of 'Gers fans' ........sickening footage on BBC of these 'fans'......and of course the tragic news of Tommy Burns passing away.

You can't tar every bluenose with label of 'thug' but there were so many who behaved liked lunatics there must be accountability from their club, and enough of this "We've been informed that those scenes were caused by fans who don't normally attach themselves to our support," said Rangers chief executive Martin Bain. Who informed him? Name the source....or maybe Walter Mitty doesn't wish to be named as that source!

bain's statements are a sad response from a sad individual working for a sad club....why not just state how ashamed you are that a day in the history of the club has been marred in such a tragic and humiliating way! Stop hiding behind the bigoted pound and ackowledge a section of supporters behaved awfully.

If there's justice M'Well will skelp them today put destiny back in our own hands..........

Morning bhoys,

Just back from Celtic Park - what an emotional morning. There were hundreds of people around and the tributes to the great man are a wonder to behold.

As well as Aiden's jersey, which was shown yesterday, there are also personal messages from Mick, John Kennedy and Paul Caddiss.

A bunch of bhoys from the young teams laid flowers on what I can only call a shrine. WGS was there to greet them and he thanked everyone for coming. neil Lennon was also there but stayed in the backgound.

I took a whole bunch of pictures which I will post a link to as soon as I get a few things sorted.

Hopefully, with the pressure off, Motherwell can get a result today. There is hope - Bob Malcolm is suspended.

Paul,

I hear what you say about the sponsors but I agree that Celtic ought to get tough here and insist on exclusive deals, at least for the shirt sponsor.

Having the same brand logo on the front does add to the impression that we are associated with Rangers and that is now clearly damaging to Celtic's interests.

Sponsorships are, after all, brand associations and by having the logo on both shirts there is a secondary association between the two clubs. If, for example, Carling sponsored the BNP annual conference, I doubt very much that Celtic would have their name on the shirts.

Certainly we understand that companies don't want sponsorship that might alienate some customers while trying to win others. Likewise, though, the shirt is the most visible vehicle for the Celtic brand - if anything appears on it that has negative associations for the club, it would be negligent to allow that to remain.

Incidentally, the club was very quick to crack down on some of the independent websites that dared to carry the Celtic crest. I believe the Celtic forum was actually taken offline on a club diktat - a disgraceful act, in my opinion.

Perhaps they should be just as diligent when the issue of revenue is involved - difficult but by no means impossible.

Celtic First

"If I am Uefa and want, for the sake of safety, the reputation of the competition and to avoid protests from future opponents, to leave Rangers on the sidelines for a season."

I think from UEFA's point of view if they acted based on anything outside the the stadium, they are accepting responsibility for activities outside the stadium, not just on this occasion, but all future occasions.

This is a very dangerous precident to set. They will not want to be responsible for monitering public order in cities all over Europe. Nor should they be.

However, if anyone in UEFA feels any sense of justice, they will hammer RFC at the next opportunity. Unfortunately, I think they will hammer the next Scottish club at the next opportunity. Make sure it is not us. As Paul said, to the rest of the world, this is just a Scottish club. My paranoia tells me our mistakes will be highlighted by our fellow countrymen.

Keep self-policing and doing our country (or countries) proud.

Rebuswad

If UEFA had any cajones, they would come down hard on Rangers. They cannot do anything about what happened in the streets, but they can keep it in their mind when reviewing the stabbing and racism inside the stadium. They have previous on Rangers, and even if they only had evidence of isolated incidents, they have the feasibility to include the riots as part of their judgement without specifically saying so. Social justice if you will.

As for the sponsorship, would losing one or two million pounds really hurt as much as the benefits gained in the long term of disassociating ourselves from Rangers? It has to be the way forward.

It has been said before about newspapers, as with anything else, sales hurt them the most. From personal experience the people who buy the Daily Record are older people who either have it on order or do so out of habit, much like people and their voting habits. You also find various shops, gyms, restaurants etc buy a copy for customers to read.

A cheeky pound on Motherwell to win by two or more goals at 19/1...

hi paul.fellow celts.
some interesting points made on the last threadthread. i dont know about any of you, but i just knew that trouble would flare up on wednesday.i am also not surprised at the defence of the peepil by the defenders of the faith . the laptop loyal, the winalot brigade, murry,s muppets. whatever takes place now ,we should make sure that through the w.w.w the world are made aware of the events of wednesday 14th may 08. and at the same time the part the scottish media play in the defence of that clubs policies. each and every fan has a story to tell of favour shown to our friends across the city. footage of the mayhem caused, accompanied by the scottish media,s defence of the thugs ,let the world decide. and while we are at it, also let the world know the part played by the hierachy of scottish football to promote one member club against all others, (holding back registrations) i have posted on here for years now, and in that time i have raised the question of why do we celtic supporters engage in radio and television programmes that imho are only propaganda stations for our rivals. i wonder in what other country a radio station would get away with employing a guy who,s sole aim is to promote/defend one club against all others,(bet i dont need to say who i am referring to ) a club who went over 100 years before they would sign a rc player .a club who go to the bother of weeding out drink straws of a certain colour in case it offends its fans .a club who changes the menu in its restaurants amid fears of upsetting its fans. but yet again, we have guys beside him who could and should give a balanced view of events but for fear of their livelihoods dont. television programmes are just as bad, we have one station in particular who,s only requirement to get onto their sofa is that you once played for the peepil.whenever a big game is on they dispense with the local bluenoses and ship in the bigots with the funny accents , you know the ones, the mercenaries who arrived here when the mint was chucking money about to buy n.i.a.r, and moved back down when their time was up ,but were so overwhelmed by all things rangers that to this day still refer to them as WE.(and btw one who followed the same route to international football as our own aiden mcgeady but not one discerning reference was made about it, wonder why that was) bet they dont want associated as "we" now . but hey this is scotland, welcome to scotland. the country that cant keep green lights on their traffic system , a race that forces a nationwide company to change its company colour for fear of upsetting the natives, the country that inflicts us ALL summer long with marches and processions of hate..but i also feel we as a club could have tackled this problem within the media a long while ago. when whipping up the country against the holy goalie for blessing himself , they should have asked, why it was that in every country that plays football players are seen to bless themselves ,except rangers players, and thats their players from italy, france, germany etc. i find that strange .imho the media should have been summoned to celtic park and shown the footage of the aberdeen goal that is used as a leveller against us ,a goal that never was as the whistle had gone PRIOR TO THE LAD PUTTING IT INTO THE NET and asked point blank why all the forore about that decision .and at the same time asked to comment on samaras disallowed goal , which didnt rate a mention these are just examples but that i feel is the road to go down when dealing with these bought men . we must fight fire with fire .it was never brought home to me as clearly as it was last week who our enemies are. after the hibs match, i went for a pint in our local with my brothers, there we met up with a few rangers sympathisers (i wont call them supporters) and we engaged them in the good reverand debate from disgrace saturday . one elderly gent (85) a former next door neighbour of mine of 21 years ,was sitting having a wee dram. when he entered the fray stating that "we had nothing to moan about that we got a corner we didnt deserve at motherwell and then the ref saved us at aberdeen" now i lived next to this old man a long time, i know he isnt into football, upon asking how he made that out , he answered that he read it in the paper, brainwashing plain and simple. we wont get a level playing field until we react to the cancer that is the scottish press ,and i urge our leaders to take them on. there are fans on here and other site who have the ammunition if you so require it .

hail hail

Rangers today

no Davis, no Hemdani, no Thomson

Paul67 - hope you don't mind me posting this again from the previous thread in case anyone who can help me out might have missed it.

I've a very big favour to ask and thought, where else to go but cqn? 5 of us are planning to travel up from Bolton next Sunday for the Phil O'Donnell match, but we only have 4 tickets. The 5th is for a 71 year old Boltonian who, through knowing me, has grown to know and love Celtic; indeed, he recognises Celtic players more readily than he does Bolton Wanderers these days. He is keen to visit Celtic Park for the first time and dearly wants to pay his respects to both Phil and Tommy and hopefully join in our 3 in a row celebrations. Our tickets are for area 412 row V in the North Stand. If anyone knows of a spare ticket going near there (or anywhere really) I'd appreciate if they could get in touch. Paul67 has my email address so any contact could be made via him (hope that's ok Paul - realise it's a big assumption on my part, but it's in a good cause). Thanks in anticipation...

Paul,

Agreed, Walter Smith's body language was not at all positive yesterday, what could have been the pinnicle of his players and coaching staffs career was an ignominious beating followed followed by...............

He has a massive task to pick up his players most of whom will be none too proud to wear that badge.

BUT

Beating Dundee United will be no easy task - my guess is there will be a somewaht different attitude by the MIB than there was at Ibrox - we should concentrate on the task at hand.

BlantyreKev from last post,

"Easy for me to say as a tim, so I will, but that will that will never hold any water as we will always be cast as paranoid and bitter."

Personally I feel that my paranoia has been vindicated – we could all cite examples over seasons past but we’re Celtic supporters we would say that anyway- but this season with complaints from Barcalona, Levein the victim of another referee McCurrying favour with his ain’ folk.

AND NOW

A hideous display that shocked a country with one of the worst footballing records (and if anyone from the green and pleasant land is reading I do NOT see these guys as my fellow countrymen)

WELL

Now we have bitter Catalans and Lancastrians - Next season no European city will want to draw Rangers – Uncle Walter and Anti-football will be the pariahs of ALL compitions – the truth will out paranoia is infectious!

Celtic_First from previous thread. Thanks. Did think of you when the idea was first mentioned but the spaces in the car filled up quickly! Definitely on for a trip up with you early next season though.

Jim Tim

The Jorge Cadete affair has been on my mind too in recent weeks.

That was a scandal, settled 'out of court' by the SFA to save face.

It wouldn't do, y'know, to have anti Celtic bias clearly and legally established as a FACT, would it?

I clearly recall Fergus being interviewed on Radio Scotland when he announced that Celtic had made an official complaint about Jim Farry and indicating what the gist of it was.

Richard Gordon and the rest of the assembled panellists that night were scornful, much reference to Celtic paranoia etc.

Wee Fergus spoke plain and carried a big stick.

Anyone have a link to an authoratitave article or book about the whole sorry saga?

I said this on the blog last night and I'll say it again today. The lack of condemnation from the Scottish Football Association to the point of excuse making for the barbaric events in Manchester, is nothing short of disgraceful. The head in the sand approach failed Scottish society in regard to the sectarian signing policy at Ibrox - the same approach will fail Scottish society again if Rangers are not forced to deal with the disease at the core of their support.

Gordon Smith bleated on about a list being created of banned songs and the reasons for banning them. Why the silence on this subject now? Why the silence on the disgraceful songs in evidence all week in Manchester.

Ban the famine song.
Ban the BJK song.

Now.

Gordon Smith? Time for leadership here, not pandering. Start delivering or get out of the job and allow someone with integrity, principles and impartiality to do it instead.

In the last three days you have added to the embarassment that Rangers have brought to Scottish football.

celtic first - from previous thread 10.58, is stabbing someone inside the stadium not enough for UEFA action. Was it not reported that six huns were arrested in connection with this? Seems an excessive number in relation to the stabbing of one person. Is there more to this incident than has been reported in Scotland? Probably.

this is it, come on motherwell!

0-0 will do me fine.

Big tactical change from Walter today. McCulloch is playing on the right so the long balls will be on that side for a change.

I see the Boruc stories that were alluded to last week have reared their heads ahead of Thursday's game.

I wonder which journo phoned Milan asking for a quote.

Well Setanta have found a novel way of dealing with the problem of Scott C'mon Rangers Boof... pixellated picture and no sound.

Setanta subsciption will be cancelled after Thursday [just in case they get the finger out and sort the technical problems]

is it just me or did stephen hughes not even try to outpace a rangers player for a loose ball in front of the rangers box?

did you know that david weir is an anagram of weird diva?

Yes

Lyruc

PS did you know that "canaries behind" is an anagram of Chemnnaiseabird. Where are you these days Shug?

Anybody have a link to a picture of the front of Parkhead?

That will of course be the famous Chennaiseabird (silent 'm' don't you know!!)

Paul - can we get the dustbin back again please?

kano,

I will upload a bunch of pics from Parkhead later this afternoon.

First corner of the match at Fir Park

Keeper nearly makes a mess of it and it goes out for another corner. Deja vu with the 2nd corner

Eventually cleared

Thanks for the updates, can't face watching it live. Having a couple of seven month olds to keep occupied helps!!

Rankers begining to dominate. Corner.....Gets another chance as cut out by first man...

One Star - yeah a bit cheeky with the picture but it was just too good! Material as good as that should reach as wide an audience as possible.

Reciprocal links would be a good idea. Now done from my end. Cheers.

Porter and Clarkson need to make the ball stick when it gets to them. Not happening at the minute and it's come straight back at them.

Cousin first shot on target from the edge of the box held by Smith.

Or Sir Walter Smith is an anagram of:

Sh*t Rim Wastrel

Motherwell look shakey. Rangers don't look particularly tired.

Again it looked like Clarkson that lost the ball and that led to the Cousin foul.

Huns score

1-0 nDailly

Goal Dailly.

Horror show from (ex Rangers) keeper Smith. Comes 15 yards for a ball and is nowhere near it.

Huns score

Dailly scores

Graeme Smith is a joke.

Dailly scores.

1-0

:-(

Sorry - don't want to cause undue alarm! My double entry does not mean they've scored twice...

1-0 the huns. That keeper is a diaster with gloves. This is really painful viewing - as poor as I've seen Motherwell play at Fir Park in a long time.

The scum hooligans singing "We shall not be moved" - is that not the preserve of league leaders?

Wake up Motherwell. At least pretend to make a game of it.

That's a ridiculous decision by Smith to come for that ball. What was Dailly going to achieve if he won it with the keeper still on his line?

McGhee should sub him at HT and put the young lad on, Luke Daniels.

Gordon_J

look out for it.

tonybananas: My copyright lawyers have been informed! ;) Seriously, not much point in posting a pic if you don't want people to see it.

Love the Chris Sutton pic too!

I'll take half time right now. Motherwell are just not up for this.

Clarkson doesn't look like he's bothering his shirt.

Hard to see who with my pixellated picture [Charlie Adam?] but an ORc was clearly in an offside position when the ball was struck and then moved to challenge for the ball when Dailly scored. Probably a bit harsh to chalk the goal off for that, but ...surprise surprise Boof & co haven't even mentioned the offside.

Now if it was Scott McDonald in an offside position, would just the 15 replays have sufficed?

Mother 0 Bother 1

Three years ago we were 1-0 up at this time (sorry to remind everybody) and we all know the ending. Keep The faith!

To all you bhoys abroad

Well are doing as they are expected to do ...lying down

there are too many huns in this team to expect anything from them

Smith in goal is a joke ...flapping like a chicken to anything that comes near him

the goal was a joke ...he is a homer

a Dunfermline feeling unfortunately or we may get a goal from Clarkson the only one of them guaranteed to put a shift in

Paul67

I would much rather be in Rangers position than ours.

The current Rangers side will win all there games.

Infact, we have the most difficult fixture left.
Away to DU will prove to be a very tough test. One we can pass ,but it is just as difficult as any of Rangers remaining fixtures.

Blindlemonchitlin 12.29 - there's an excellent chapter about Celtic and the SFA including an extensive account of the Cadete affair in Tom Campbell's book 'Celtic's Paranoia All in the Mind?'. It really is damning stuff as far as Farry and the SFA are concerned. Don't have time now to type it out verbatim but you might want to check out the book [in fact the book is a superb read all round including chapters on the Eire flag affair, the treatment of Sutton & Lennon, the media drive to canonise Dallas after Dallasgate etc.]

his job would be easier if we are not here

With their attention focused on the slightly more difficult Thursday game, Rangers very well could be tripped up at St. Mirren. I wouldn't be suprised if they were held to a draw on Monday.

DECO FREED, TO LEAVE BARCELONA?

Decent shot from McLEan tipped over. Better football from well.

Nice move there. Mibbe....!

tinytim: I sense a swap - Deco for Deeko!

tonybananas,

I'm reading it at the minute. As you say, it's a riveting read. I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Deco? No thanks.

Diving and cheating is not the Celtic way.

Gordon

just about to say the same.

Deco the only player I couldn't support at Barca. The man's a cheat

McGhee's raging

0 - 1 HT.

Rangers probably deserve to be ahead although the goal was a joke.

Motherwell playing too many long balls, easy for their defence.

Mark McGhee has a big job to to. He needs to get far more from his players and tell them to start playing football. Rangers will tire towards the end if they can put them under pressure.

Come on Well. Do it for Tommy and for Phil!

tonybananas ,

A great book but it's a total cop-out in the concluding chapter

tiytim, Deco???

Have you forgotten anything? You must be joking

I really think the Motherwell keeper has sold this game.

From the corners at the start to his kick outs out the field acting as if he's under pressure when there are no players near him to the "attempt" at the goal.

Mark McGhee has to get them wound up for the second half. They will tire in the second 45 and if it's only 1-0 then their natural instinct will be to defend deep and concede possession and space. Motherwell need to up the tempo right from the 46th minute.

Hail Hail

Something to cheer you Lhads & Lhassies Bobo

Down here in Engerlund the front page of the Sun has the guy that got bitten by the brave dog, Headline is he has just been released after serving a life sentance for murder. Dignity FC aye right.

How's Lasley playing? He's not long back from a trip from Manchester.

Can't work our why Mark McGhee brought that clown back into his side?

Don't want to appear defeatist (and I dearly hope to be proved wrong) but I always felt that their game against Dundee Utd was the key one in the run-in - and so did the SPL obviously - we all know the MoTM performance played by the good reverend that day.

It was always going to be a long shot that their last 3 fixtures against sides with nothing to play for would yield the results that we're all looking for.

I guess we live in hope rather than expectation

One Star(does)Mean More.

I know that he has played only 14 matches this season for Barca.
Maybe he is washed up.
I don't know ,but surely he is worth considering.

The player is reported as saying that he wants to play in Italy of England next.

So there is not much chance of him coming to us.

He would provide an older head for our youngsters to learn from.

He also has two CL winners medal's,a UEFA cup winners medal and several league championship winners medal's.

I would suggest that he would be a great addition to our dressing room.
A great example for our young players to learn from.

How's Lasley playing? He's not long back from a trip from Manchester.

I think it's safe to say that any player that featured in Porto's 2003-04 season would never be accepted at Parkhead.

Can any cqn'ers help - i really need two tickets for the Phil O'Donnell
game, I believe Celtic have sold out.

Anybody?

Apologies. Make that 2002-03.

tinytim,

Deco has always been a diver and a cheat. For Porto, for Barce and for Portugal.

Do you really want our young players to learn from him??

No chance we could afford Deco's wages - have always thought he provided more (assists and overall effectiveness) than Ronaldinho, even at his prime.

He's certainly always up there in the Champions League dream teams stats-wise.

The new found celebritism that the future Cruft Winner is now enjoying is leading to some well-earned sponsership

Great conspiracy/unreported scandal story flogged to death again.

I see captain unbookable looks all zippy-zippy again, unlike the UEFA final and semi, when even Archie Woof commented that he wasn't himself though Archie couldn't figure out why.

My theory? Rangers have been scared to give him injections for the UEFA games in case he failed the drugs test. As I mentioned earlier, a Japanese player was banned for having GARLIC injected because any intravenous treatment breaches FIFA/World Anti Doping Agency protocols.

So I'm guessing that's why Bazza looked so decidedly downbeat before his first ever Uefa Cup final. He knew that without the injections Rangers have admitted he has been receiving, he would not be able to perform.

By the way, I saw a report from a Google translation of a Russian site linking Bazza with a move to Zenit. Was this reported anywhere?

One Star

I commented on Wednesday that he took a knock on the ankle early on in the second half. He was out of the game after that.

You could be right about the injections.

Despite Well's poor effort so far, this is not over...... yet.

All they have to do is prevent Rangers scoring a nerve-settling second and then the pressure will hit the Rangers defence big time. I didn't see any of the Well players failing to produce effort, just the usual lack of quality from a few.

Fortunately, they do not need quality to beat this lot.

As long as rangers don't get their 2nd in the first 20 minutes, watch the pressure crank up.

one star...

Do you honestly think that the media in this country would run such a story at this time regrdless of how true it is likely to be?

Slayercelt.

I have a great memory.

Have you forgotten our current hero (Scott Mac Donald).
He scored two goals against us, that gave the Darnel there happiest day in decades.

Which in turn gave many of us ,our darkest day ever.

He his redeeming himself in a Celtic shirt.

So could a player like Deco.

You can be relaxed however.

He won't want to come to us ,and we wouldn't want to match his wage demands.

Kojo's point about signing players that clubs no longer want ,may also be worth considering ,in Deco's case.

I have always though that he was a great player.I repeat he may be a spent force.I haven't seen enough of him recently,to make a confident declaration on him .

Despite Well's poor effort so far, this is not over...... yet.

TNT

Thats a cracker

Come on Motherwell, tear into 'em!

We can but hope M McGhee recognises that some of his lads are not up fir it as much as others and get them off the park.

Think it's Brain McLean who is again an ex-ger who looks like he's trying to deliver the ball into Alexander's hands every time he can........

I'm desperate for them to drop points, there is still time so yep Keep The Faith ........a late blow is what we wanye.g. an equaliser or winner for Well!

PLEASE M'Well.....win this for 'the good of scottish football'!!

Narrowboat, I heard he'd had 2 life sentences or something. Press in this country are a complete joke. Why are they defending them? Can you imagine if celtic were involved in this kind of thuggery? I hope they're proud of their horrible little club.

Cousin clean through in first minute of second half but saved by the legs of the keeper.

Getting the Lucky £20-note out for a wee rub around the 75-minute mark.....(even as I THINK about the Lucky £20-note, Cousin misses a sitter!).

By the way...Graeme Souness = A Gruesomeness.

The Planner

Apart from the fact he will got to a top English or Italian team, i am suprised at some negative views on Deco.

A fantastic player who I would welcome with open arms.

GOAL WELL

1-1 could I be wrong?

yeeeeees

1-1

the huns look lethargic

Clarkson header off the post, a scramble and Porter taps in from 3 yards!!

Boof's first words - "I just think Rangers are too far off the pace there."

He is gutted. GIRFUY!

I honestly can't remember him continuously cheating.
I am not saying that he hasn't been guilty of simulation in the past.I just can't recall it being a a feature that has overshadowed his strong points as a player.

Didier Drogba of Chelsea is the one player that i think simulates far too often ,and to be frank ,i would have him in a heartbeat.

Infact speaking of Frank ,i would have him aswell.
