You did this
This year, you donated money and equipment which we passed to Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital. Last week, we received a letter from The Sick Kids Friends Foundation saying:
"The funds you have raised will be used to fund work in our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. We plan to refurbish Southview, which is the Parents Sitting Room in the unit. Here parents, whose children are critically ill, can take a short break from their bedside village and simply gather their thoughts. It is also here that Intensive Care Staff will reveal the results of their investigations and treatment plans to anxious parents.
"One of your friends also donated a sofa, which is now in the parent's area at Forteviot, our treatment centre for children with severe behavioural and mental health problems.
"Finally, the (Rompa) projector which was given to Ward 1 has been much appreciated by all who have used it; it makes real a difference to have such excellent technology.
"Once again, many thanks for helping us to make the Sick Kids better."
- Maureen Harrison, Chief Executive
Hundreds of you bought Celtic Quick News badges from DBBIA and Pablo, all profits were added to our cash donation to Glasgow the Caring City, who in total received £1260 towards their overseas work, primarily in Malawi.
My special thanks to Michael and Steve for their work with the badges throughout the year.
Donations to the Celtic Quick News Five-a-side Competition raised enough kit for the 'Caring City to keep for a school near Kaponda Village, Malawi, going for a year, twice as much as we announced a couple of days after the competition, donations continued to arrive well after the event.
Glasgow the Caring City sent us this message:
"To everyone at Quick News, Glasgow the Caring City are delighted that once again you have supported our work with those less fortunate. As group of fans, you have taken the Spirit of your club and shared that goal, with so many charities and groups. We are very privileged to be one such group and can't thank you enough once more for being there for us. Have a wonderful Christmas and a great 2009."
- Rev. Neil Galbraith, CEO of the Caring City.
Take a moment to view this video they prepared for you this Christmas:
We donated £1000 to Macmillan Cancer Support, who help people afflicted by the disease with practical and financial assistance.
St Margaret's Hospice in Clydebank received £500 to help with their valuable work.
£500 went to The Martin Chambers Ecuador Trust, who school and feed needy children; the same went to the San Lazaro Home for children who are rescued from the streets of Costa Rica.
We helped Aberdour Sport and Development Club, from the town we held our annual golf tournament for the fourth consecutive year. This week they sent a message saying, "You are splendid ambassadors for your club. It is fantastic that you think of others in your outing, and in our case, make a contribution to the local community."
You did all this. You are the living spirit that kicked into existence 120 years ago.
Have a great Christmas, you deserve one.

Happy Christmas and a special and sincere thanks for all your efforts re CQN.
I have absolutely no idea how you combine the massive amount of work involved in running CQN aswell as your own work commitments and most importantly your family.
I know you love Celtic, as we all do however the selfless lengths you go to to provide an excellent fans forum is truly appreciated.
I believe I speak on behalf of the vast vast majority of CQN ers.
I personally wish you and your family nothing but joy peace and prosperity over the festive period and beyond.
Hail Hail Roccobhoy.
I don't know if it's because i'm not hungover today, or if it's because i finish up work for a fortnight in a couple of hours, but reading that gives me a nice warm feeling.
Another great year on the park, another rewarding year off the park.
Well played fholks, wishing a prosperous 2009 to Paul67 and all who frequent these pages
Here's hoping we can finally make it beyond the semi's in next years CQN 5's tournament!!

Paul and all CQNer's
Well done.
This is part of what being a celt is all about.
Family and charity.
Hail Hail
And seasons greeting you all
Paul67
A great topic to post at any time, but particularly at this time of year when among all the celebrations and food and drink it's easy to forget about those a lot less fortunate than ourselves, in different ways.
I hope you and your family have a great Christmas and I hope your bhoy enjoys one present in particular Santa is about to bring down the chimney tonight!
A Merry Christmas to all on CQN, I hope you all have a great time.
I'm proud of all who post on here and contributed to help CQN make a difference to all these people's lives.
sorry that should have read seasons greetings to you all!
2 nil to the celtic you know when..can't wait!

Angus Young, it sure is.
Jinkysboy, it does, no question about that. Well done for keeping the vigil for Kano each day.
Kano, if Ramie gets the chance to pass on my thoughts, your friends look forward to hearing from you as soon as you are ready.
Blantyretim, you too.
Len, it’s a joy.
Roccobhoy, thanks for your kind message, I appreciate it. Take care and have a great one.
TheLeftWinger, a semi-final appearance in the CQN fives is something special.
‘The private memoirs’, it is indeed the essence of our club.
P&B, he’ll enjoy it whether he likes it or not! Some fine words.
Seeing those kids in the hoops was truly heart warming especially at this time of year.
All the very best to fellow bloggers around the world, please have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Peaceful and Prosperous 2009.
Great stuff Paul. And many thanks for giving us this little oasis of calm (well, most of the time) in the midst of a chaotic world. Your hard work in setting up and maintaining this wonderful blog has given us a place to debate, discuss and disagree, but all in the name of Celtic.
And the CQN Charity Fund embodies all that is good about our club. It really has been a privilege to be involved in the events held over the year. And I just know that next year will be even better!
Well done everyone. Just signed up today to be able to post this comment.
whooosh> yo! paul67.. a big well done for this blog and all the hard work that it takes.

Well done to everyone at CQN and all contributors. Football debate may rage on this site but the circumstances of those who benefit from this puts all of that into perspective.
Hope everyone has a great Christmas.

Brian,
You've made my Christmas. Good to hear from you.
Best wishes for a happy family Christmas to your good self and family.
Jim and Gordon.
*cheers Jim didnae get on last night as it was a poor drive up the road and had tae stop in at the mall on the way.
Getting ready tae head oot again so I'll probably pop in during the day with my Christmas greetins tae the blog.
Well done everyone.

Welcome on this fine day - a great time for your first post.
BTW many on here say they get you on their way out the door !!!!
what can i say that all you fantastic people have not already !!
happy christmas to all
and thanks again to paul 67 your forum brings joy to so many
hail hail
Congratulations Paul67 - without you none of it would have been possible.
The Brother Walfrid spiirit is very much alive and well and is evidenced via CQN. Apart from what Paul has posted above I would like to say a personal thankyou to all of those who sponsored my wife during the Race for Life held in Bolton in July. We estimate that she received sponsorship to the tune of nearly £200 from cqners, none of whom we have ever met.
I very much doubt that I will get much chance to post between now and the end of the year so I will take this opportunity to wish Paul67 and all the cqn family (for that is what we are despite our differences)a happy and holy (if you wish) Christmas, a great end to the old year (on Saturday) and a fantastic 2009. Hail Hail and Keep the Faith!!
Paul67,
What a wonderful post on xmas eve. This blog and all the hard work many of you have done to raise money for people more unfortunate than ourselves is remarkable.
Brother Walfrid will be proud.
This confirms if we didn't know already that the Celtic support are World Class.
If the Celtic Support were a football player we would be Maradona, Pele and Cruyff rolled into one.
The work people do on here to help others really gives me hope for the world we live in despite all the doom and gloom around us.
To all CQN'rs - Have a merry christmas will your loved ones, a great 2009 and 3 points on Saturday
HAIL HAIL!!!!!!
Cheers jinksyboy. Does anyone have the info on how much Celtic contributed to charity this year?
Hi Paul
Just like to wish you and Martin and all at CQN a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. All the best to Gordon and the squad for a great result on Saturday and the remainder of the season. 4IAR would be just brilliant? We'll be watching it Live on Saturday night here.( Behind the sofa of course.)
Had a couple of beers the other night with Kevin and Angela in Muddy Murphy's. They are both well and enjoying the nice weather we are having just now. Lots of tropical rain and less humidity than usual.Only 30 Degs C today and about 70% Humidity instead of the usual 95%.
Have a good one guys and take care.
Hail, Hail.
Timoot - Singapore
Thanks for the kind words Paul; in truth most of the credit should go to Pablo- he was the George Michael in the poptastic world of the CQNBadge and I was the Andrew Ridgely.
There are still badges available at CQNBadge@Gmail.com for those of you who wish to start the New Year on the right foot fashion wise.
On the subject of the New Year- Alec Salmond wants 2009 to be 'Homecoming' in Scotland, unlike our good friends at the RST who want it to be the 'Home going'..
My dear friend Paul67, my most humble thanks for the acknowledgement although quite undeserved IMHO. I would personally like to thank my friend DBBIA for all his sterling efforts in distributing the badges. I had the idea but he had the administration skills. We are both delighted to have made a contribution to the now legendary Celtic Quick News Charitable foundation.
I would also like to say, your ability to produce articles which fit the times, is quite remarkable and I hope you still have the desire to produce more of the same next year. I’d also like to pass on my personal thanks to your wife for having the patience and understanding that is required to be the wife of the most popular Celtic site in Cyber-space.
I would also like to pass on my own personal good wishes to all visitors and contributors of this fine blog. It has been my very good fortune to have some of those contributors as friends now and without this site, this would not have been possible. So again, I say to you all, I wish each and everyone of you the very best that this season’s holidays will bring you and I look forward to another year in all your company.
At some point in time, we hope to have a wee link in the main page for the badges, but I think Paul, quite rightly, is reluctant to do this until the robustness of Movable Type is established. So in the mean time, if you wish to purchase one of these outstanding pieces of Celtic-related memorabilia, just drop a line to
CQNBadge@Gmail.com

Congrats Paul67 and CQN for your hard charitable work.

Gordon_J, you are very welcome.
Welcome, The Jaiket.
Yo! aldo67, glad you have a well deserved rest from bedlam, take care.
Wicklowbhoy, enjoy the season.
Boltonbhoy, fine sentiments, thank you.
Jamesielegend, you nailed it.
Timoot, I heard all about it. It’s great that you can travel the globe and meet kindred spirits.
DBBIA, yes, Pablo told me that was the case (only joking). You both deserve a lot of credit.
Pablo, Mrs 67 shows remarkable patience.
Narrowbhoat, same to you too.
Paul67,
also glad you kept this for today, such a relevant post for Christmas eve. Well done to all on CQN and particularly yourself for providing the forum to make this possible.
Merry Christmas one and all.

Paul67,
Many thanks for your efforts over the year, great thanks to your family for allowing you the time to run this wonderfull site, many thanks to all CQN'ers for the marvellous debates over the year!
The generosity and goodwill for all that contributed to the causes above, a hearty very well done!
I would like to wish all of you and your families a very merry Xmas and a prosperous New Year!
It is great to be a Celtic Supporter!
Gebhoy
Paul, what a great article for Christmas Eve. I think it shows that beneath all the petty squabbles we have on here, we all have a common respect for humanity. I am even prouder to be a CQN badge wearing Celtic Supporter today
I wish all CQN contributors and lurkers a happy and peaceful Christmas.
LFT
I havent been on the site long at all but still feel very proud,it puts the football into perspective and also shows how much its communities can serve the wider society locally and internationally.
Great work Bhoys.
Folks,
Let's hope the viewfaethewindae is of a few new faces and a couple class acts. Best wishies to you and yours for 2009, onward to 4IAR.
Go on you Celts.
Paul67 / all fellow CQNers (posters and lurkers!)
A massive congratulations on this charitable achievement - as others have said it makes me even prouder to be a Celt and a CQNer.
Here's to rounding the year off in fitting style by pumping the FOD on Sat (or a lucky offside goal off a backside if necessary!).
Merry Christmas to one and all.
EHIY (currently out of exile and back in Glasgow for a wee while...)
Paul and all
Have a great Christmas and all the best for the new year,I'll look forward to being in all your company in 2009.
Bradford Bhoy.
Paul,
I would like to echo Boltonbhoy's sentiment that Brother Walfrid would be very pleased with Celtic Quick News community. His blog name would be BallymoteBhoy and he would be desperate for a left back to come in!
Brian Wilson wrote in 'Celtic - A Century With Honour' in 1988, "The rapid flourishing of the St Mary's Hall enterprise was entirely due to the fact that several quite outstanding individuals invested their enthusiasm in it."
Exactly.
Well done Paul67, and have a Happy and Holy Christmas.
EHIY (currently back in Glasgow for a wee while)-
Do you drive a Range Rover and were you chasin' Mary Doll last night?
Ha!
Hi Paul
Great post at this time of year. Is there an ongoing CQN charity fund and , if so, how does one contribute?
Hail! Hail!
Final Post
Spare a thought for all the millions of people who find Christmas a truly lonely and sorrowful experience.
Yes without question it is a time of great happiness for millions but unfortunately it is a time of great sadness for millions also.
I firmly believe it is a time of mixed emotions for so many also.
I myself will quite tearful tomorrow as well as being happy as my father has now massed away 3 years.
He had a massive influence on my life.
I know there for a fact there are CQN ers who have suffered heartache and I,ve no doubt they will feel some sadness tomorrow.
Overall I know I am very very fortunate but I am equally certain there are millions less fortunate than myself.
one of the many things however I will be focusing is the genuine warmth and goodness from the people who post on CQN towards myself and others - I fully appreciate it.
Happy Christmas to everyone and God Bless our friend KANO - He will be in my thoughts and prayers this evening.
Hail Hail Roccobhoy.

Happy Christmas to you and yours from Lurgan. Have been talking to Pat a few times recntly. She's glad to be off now after a tough year. My self and my good lady also bumped into Paula last week. She was doing a little shopping having just come from the hospital. Here's hoping for a better 2009 for both of them. Take care.
Hi All, eventually signed up to say well done to everyone involved at CQN for your tremendous work throughout the year.
You are an inspiration for Celts the world over and an invaluable source of information.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and 4IAR New Year.
Adelaide Celt
What an inspiring video that is from Glasgow The Caring City.
I've got a bit of work to do to support this great charity, so the film is all the kick I need to get that done.
And awrabest to Paul and all at CQN for Christmas and the New Year.
No matter our honestly held views on players, etc, we all remain committed to the Hoops.
Here's to the perfect present on Saturday.
Hail! Hail!
I have a signal in the middle of nowhere. Is this a sign! Great work Paul and all the CQN family. We can all walk a wee bit taller, CQN has grown to fit the jersey.
All the very best to each and every one, those I have been fortunate enough to meet and those I may never meet.
Now on to victory.
Hail hail
Paul et al,
I just want to add my best wishes to you all. This truly is a remarkable community, and one fitting of the club we all love.
May your Ghord walk with you.

Jinkyredstar, are you in Deepest, Drakest D & G !!!???
pablophanque
Drakest,eh? For ducks sake...
roccobhoy,
A fine post! The holidays can be a sad period for many and we all know that the suicide rate climbs dramatically over xmas.
The end of the year and the prospect of the start of a new one is a time of reflection and of introspection. And often a time to recall those we have lost along life's journey.
I hope that we can all remember the good times, take strength from getting through the bad times and look forward to a happy and prosperoous 2009.
Even when I looked at it, I just couldn't see what was wrong with it !!!
pablophanque
To all the Bhoys and Ghirls around the globe Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.3 points on Saturday please Santa.

Lurgan53 - same to you fellow Celt! Good to hear you spoke to Paula - I know she is having a rough time of it. Take care and best wishes for 2009!
Paul67 :- Kudos to you in setting up the vehicle that has done so much good work, yo have something that stands way above just being a football blog. Congratulations to everyone who donated.
To everyone on the site, I'm just heading out and doubt if I ill be back on today so I'd like to wish each and everyone of you a fantastic xmas and hope that all of you get both what you want and what you need (except in a football sense)
Enjoy your family, enjoy your holiday and be happy. (depression is both allowed and understood on the 27th)
My take on the current Christmas Number One:
I heard there was a secret ball
Wee Strachan dreamed it would beat them all
But you don’t really play the long ball do ya
It goes like this the full pitch width
McGeady’s cross and Skippy’s flick
The baffled keeper can’t stop Nakamura
Nakamura Nakamura
Nakamura Nakamura
United stood 10 yards back in the wall
And Naka placed down the ball
But you don't think that you can stop it do ya?
Well he smashed it high and round the wall
The dip and swerve confused them all
And from the jungle the fans shout “Nakamura!”
Nakamura Nakamura
Nakamura Nakamura
Defence was strong but you needed youth
Big Mick and Captain Square-hied too
Just to stop the huns from running through you
Well he tied Donati to the physio’s chair
With Koki’s and Sammi’s hair
But from our team they can’t take Nakamura
Nakamura Nakamura
Nakamura Nakamura
Did my best it wasn’t much
Was praying for Maloney’s touch
To find the golden boot of Nakamura
For 3 years now it’s not gone wrong
Come Saturday the special one
Be shouting to McCurry, Nakamura
Nakamura Nakamura
Nakamura Nakamura
Pablo
Much worse-deepest darkest Sussex,I actually lot fishing to escape various Turkey rituals. A drake has just swum by!

Paul67 - excellent timing with this article. It's been said before, but this Celtic community would not have existed without you. Not for the first time, your family should be very proud of your efforts this year.
Looking at the Caring City video, then that soaking you got at the 5's was well worth it. :-)
Well done to all the CQNers who organise the 5's, Aberdour and the "Badge Clique". DBBIA - are youm inferring that Pablo is gay?! ;-)
Well done to DBBIA, Jinks, Oldtim, Kit, Ramie and everyone else who has tried to help Kano's recovery. Get well soon, Martin.
Hope to see some of you on the 3rd of January for the Utd game.
A very Merry Xmas to you all from me and Mrs TTTT.

What an amazing year for Celtic.

I would like to personally thank you and all contributing CQN'ers, for the charitable donations, but especially for the donation to Mac Millan.
I have always known of Mac Millan Nurses, but until this year I have been effectively, for a word, ignorant, to the work and nursing support of this organisation.
This is one year, I will sincerely be glad, to see the back of.
Here's hoping for a far better one, and 4 in a row.
Happy Christmas & New Year CQN!

Congratulations on maintaining a unique and excellent facility for Celtic fans. The standard of contributions from you and other CQNers is consistently high and, while I don't make many contributions to the blog, I derive significant pleasure from reading it daily.
Many thanks for the enjoyment you provide for me and many like me.
A very happy Christmas to every CQNer, culminating in the biggest smile on Saturday afternoon.
Best wishes.

A very happy Christmas to you Martin42 and all your family!
The blog you created exceeds anything before or since--and for that we are all grateful.
To all CQNers-- sincere greetings for the holiday!

One of funny things about this site is the ability of others to sum up one's feelings. Pete the Beat, you've done that simply for me. Thanks - and very best you, and to all.
I witter on a bit on here as I find it bizarrely cathartic. Easier to share from a keyboard than from my lips possibly. Since April, I lost a best mate, two aunts and we discovered my dad has Alzheimers - I really don't say this as search for sympathy, but I have over the year gained strength from the words of strangers on here. My mate I'd known since day one at primary school, my best man, me his, the whole lot. The day after he passed, with me in bits but brave-facing it, I mentioned this in brief to a work colleague I have known for twenty years - 'ah well, circle of life and all that' was his comment. Meanwhile in stream of consciousness I mentioned it in one of my warblings on here. Immediately I had words of sympathy and support, from loads of folk, none of whom I know. Silly, I know, but I find that amazing. I still do. I pray for Kano and I have no idea who he is, for others too. And this on such an inspiring lead article.
I can do some French and Italian but no Spanish, but we are mes que un club, mes que un blog, mes que un support.
Have a joyeux noel everyone. Forza Celtic.

Many thanks for a wonderful site, and many thanks to all who contribute on a regular basis, ive had the pleasure of lurking on this site for at least 2 years now (in Australia) ive probably made about 10 posts because all of the great people on here say everything so much better than i ever could. Im moved but not surprised by the generosity of the people that inhabit this site, and the one thing i am going to miss the most in my time offline is the banter on this site (i always think of myself as the guy in the corner who is always listening but doesnt need to say anything because you guys say it better)

Merry Christmas Team CQN.... from Down Under....
To you all and your family’s may Hope and Happiness fill your day.
To Mr Paul Brennan thank you for yet another year in all things Celtic.
To Mr Martin Brennan thank you for (him) above.
I will come out of 'As good as it gets', mode to wish everyone in the CQN family a healthy and prosperous 2009.
The real message of Christmas is all about hope in the midst of depression. It is about light at the end of the tunnel. It is about joy in a joyless world; love and peace when hate and violence appear to be winning; grace in a rude world; kindness to those who least deserve it; and a message of good news to counter the daily, negative headlines in our newspapers.
Celtic is our life and our life is Celtic, who would want to change that.
A little word on CQN, my Celtic World has changed since I started actively taking part in CQN, I am a more Informed Celtic Man that’s for sure so thanks to the....

NNF- BB spells Babbity Bowser; it's painted a fetching shade of battleship grey. If the barman is wearing a black eyepatch you're in the right place. The CQNers usually sit on the LHS as you go in.
I once spent a fruitless hour in BBs [not]meeting Kitalba when he was over from Oz; now thanks to the world renowned CQN badges these faux-pas should be less common.
Merry Christmas everybody.
Paul67 - thank you.

Well done, everyone involved in CQN. This has been my first year posting, and with the highs of Tommy Burns Thursday, the lows of the passing of Tommy Burns, the boredom of Rangers attempting to win some stuff by boring their opposition to sleep, the entertainment provided by all and sundry on here, it's not been a bad ol' introduction to the place.
Looking forward to meeting a few of you at the quiz night in February. I'll be off the internet in the frozen north for the next week or so, so here's to a happy hunskelping Christmas to the lot of you.
To Paul, his family and the CQN family very merry christmas to one and all.
A truly great site.
I'd just like to add my congratulations to everyone who made this possible, but especially to Paul without whom, none of this would have happened. You make every Bhoy and Ghirl here proud.
To Paul67, all posters and lurkers, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, a happy 27th and and a very happy New year.
A massive Hail Hail to all for their efforts over the year.
Unless massive transfer stories rouse me from my slumber I may not appear over the next few days so to all my fellow contributors and lurkers alike, all the best for the festive season.
Now Paul, If we could get back to the songs debate.... ;^)
Happy chrimbo everyone.
The video is wonderful, life affirming, sure the football club is our primary focus, and Paul has given us this awesome vehicle to converse, but as a collective group of people its much much more than that.
Its just goodness in their hearts.
well done everyone.
Rocco, the sadness is there for everyone, I am sure we all have our own mixed emotions on these days. remembering loved ones.
Take care everyone ......

Timmy7 09:46 earlier,
Sorry to hear about the demise of the Highlander. When I lived in Paris (03-05) it was run by a good Celtic man who moved to Thailand (Jimmy, where are you now). The Canadian girl (Michelle) who took over the running (and still is, as far as I know) also has green leanings.
I've been up to the Harp a few times myself and agree it's a good venue as you can get.
PS. Dunno if it still is, but the Auld Alliance (famous for the Satan Collymore/Ulrika Johnson fight in '98) used to be a gathering place for the Snake Mountaineers.
PPS. On the subject of international travel. Estadio - when you get a mo' can you drop me a line (I canna log onto your blog, for some reason)
The Spirit of Brother Walfrid is alive and well and existing on this wonderful website.
well done to everyone, you are all true ambassadors for our great club and country, indeed I am very nearly in tears and they are tears of pride in you all, God Bless you all.
Paul67, I would just like to extend my thanks to you for this wonderful site, a site with a rich diversity of opinion and with only a few exceptions(sorry Ed)a desire to experience the best for our great club, Celtic.
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes.

Well done Paul and all who worked so hard to make a difference. All very humbling at this time of year.Shows us all the true spirit of Christmas
Unlikely to get back on here again this side of the New Year, so best wishes to everyone including our resident Teddy Bear aka Ed Ursus. Here's hoping for a great 2009 for all Celtic supporters, particularly for those posters on here who had a hard 2008.
Feeling more confidant now about Saturday's outcome and hope the flight to Oz on Sunday sees me beaming all the way back. 3-1 Celtic!!!
Well,
It's Xmas Eve already, though it's still only the 238th of May in David Murray's Ibrox Re-construction Calendar.

Spurs in talks over Craig Bellamy. Looks like that ship has sailed - not that it ever left it's port. Or it may do if it goes to Spurs.

There was a wee meeting in Gweedore last year on licensed premises. A resolution was passed to the effect that more of this would be considered a good thing.
The original point of the meeting was to consider climbing Errigal or some other physical feat but the delegates to the Donegal Convention, being seasoned practicioners with a wary outlook, decided that further careful planning would be needed in order to avoid undue casualty. So, we will return in due course to licensed premises for further thought.
You cannot rush these things. We have no word in Gaelic to convey the degree of urgency you find in Spanish words such as mañana.

Paul & Everyone on CQN. To all you guys who made both the site what it is today and made such a contribution to the charity events this year i'd just like to say a big BIG well done. You guys make me proud to be part of such a distinguished "Extended" family. Charity is what our club stands for and even in todays financial climate where million pound players come and go without raising an eyebrow we have not forgotten that indeed every penny counts to those less fortunate.
I take my festive green and white santa hat off to all you guys!
Keep the faith and no matter what happens on sat rest assured we will still be top of the pile next year!

Paul67 and everyone on CQN,
A very Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2009 from a very snowy Vancouver. (Global warming, bah humbug!).
As others have noted, this blog is addictive, in the nicest possible way, of course. It is also heartwarming to read of the excellent charitable work that has developed over the life of the blog.
Best wishes to all and especially those who are ill or missing loved ones at this time of year.

A very well done in all efforts by Paul67 and all involved in charity works this year and ongoing efforts.

I went on your noradsanta site and in the 3D satellite mode I found my old house in Yoker, clear as a bell, so for a laugh I traced my way to Celtic Park. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the satellite picture was taken while a game was just about to start as there is a crowd outside, Santa must be a Tim (St Nic off course).

I know its way too early in the day to start the tooons off but I was out and about there and listening to my music and this song just fills me up at this time of year - the word classic is as overused as start these days - but this is a CLASSIC

That should have read as over used as STAR - not start.

Have to say I hadn't been feeling very "Chrismassy" up until now, but Paul's post has given me a much-needed boost on the festive front, reminding me of what this time of year is supposed to be all about, and to put stuff like football - no matter how much we love, live and breathe it - into context.
Some fantastic deeds being done by people on this site, that have an impact near to home and also in places all over the world. Take a bow, all of you.
I'd like to wish everyone on CQN and their families a very Happy Christmas, and a peaceful New Year.

Sad basterward that I am I listen to Radio Clyde Superscoreboard on the listen again feature through the internet. I usually keep it until I'm doing something in the kitchen which is where the computers located. I was cutting brussel sprouts when Gordon was talking about the "curfew" imposed on the players. When he said that Artur stopped the meeting and asked "Where's Falkirk?" I nearly cut myself laughing. Still chuckling about it actually!
Lawrenzo67, it’s a fine way to bring in Christmas.

Celtic Bob may get to meet old Mrs Jinks pre match - and no doubt will tell him "I hope its a draw so theres no fighting" ha ha
Poor old dear lives in Govan and has witnessed the running battles in the streets on the old days.
My favourite site from her windae is the Bhoys from the Govan Arms standing on the roundabout on the corner of Govan Road - with shirts on and scarfs held aloft as the Buns buses drive past on the way through the Clyde Tunnel.

Paul67,
Have a very happy Christmas. Thanks for your time and energy with this site over the past year. It keeps growing thanks to your hard work.
A fine post which endorses the generous people on CQN who have brought the ethos of Celtic to the underprivileged where ever they may be.
A job well done.

I’ve been on this blog for a wee bit now and must say that by far it’s the best sellick site out there.
Well played Paul and also Martin for instilling the faith in yer lhads.
When I was younger and asked why I supported Celtic and not my nearest local professional team Dumbarton, I used tae reply, “because my da’ did, and he supported Celtic because his da’ did and he supported Celtic because he was Irish”.
Ironically my da’ was brought up within a corner kick of Boagheid.
As Willie Shakespeare said in the Merchant of Venice act III, sc. V, l. 1 "The sins of the father are to be laid upon the children."
In our case it’s the “Faith of our Fathers”.
We do at times have issues with each other but by and large we get over them.
Sadly some bloggers have taken the cream puff and left, they are the losers.
One thing I try to keep in mind is that in my days of going tae the gemmes I usually went up with mah carolinas, having a drink on route, and back again usually singing and dancing and discussing the events of the day.
Never remember any barneys as any disagreements were ironed out on the way back.
We all see the gemme differently; one man’s hero is another’s dumplin.
Unfortunately when we meet in cyberspace the passion that surrounds supporting the bhoys seems tae flair up.
If this was in a rub-a-dub-dub we would not be so personal, this Tim paranoia we all have embedded within us if not from birth but our first sellick involvement comes across as aggressiveness.
Time tae relax, take a deep breath or a large drink before replying and remember the phunter that’s supposedly urinating you off also bleeds green and white.
We are all, except Ted, in this together, the phunter you are venting at is probably the same one you wrap your arms around ecstatically when the ball hits the back of the darnel net.
So at this time before I head up the road on this dreich Christmas Eve, it's grey and overcast and RAINING, wish one an all a Happy and Holy Christmas as well as a prosperous New Year and a quick return tae health for Martin/Kano and also to the new generation of Celtic Minded players the following:
Wesolych Swiat i Szczesliwego Nowego Roku
Froehliche Weihnachten und ein glückliches Neues Jahr!
Vrolijk Kerstfeest en een Gelukkig Nieuwjaar!
Shinnen omedeto. Kurisumasu Omedeto
Feliz Navidad y Próspero Año Nuevo
Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo
Kala Christougenna Kieftihismenos O Kenourios Chronos
Prejeme Vam Vesele Vanoce a stastny Novy Rok;
Joyeux Noël et Bonne Année!
For the rest of us where be we are Irish or Scottish or a bit of both:
Nollaig Shona Dhuit and Nollaig chridheil huibh
Finally for all the G82 and G83 phunters out there I just received a book yesterday called “Renton between the Wars” and one item in it discusses Renton becoming the “Champions of the World” in a 4-1 victory over West Brom at the second Hampden on May 19, 1888.
Nine days after this two of the victorious Renton side turned out for the greatest wee team in the world, our first captain and goalscorer.
In another sellick connection they were selected to play this match as a result of a 6-1 Scottish Cup Final victory over Cambuslang a score line that has never been bettered in a Scottish Cup Final but repeated in 1972 when we beat the Hibees.
Football's first World Championship trophy is housed in the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden Park and seemingly in the Nou Camp there’s a wall that immortalises the teams that won the World Cup and Número Uno is The Renton.

The beaming smiles of those kids is a lesson to us all,we sometimes dont count our blessings.
At this happy and for some sad, time of year i wish everyone of you cqners whatever you need.
Well done Paul another great post. I don't post that often but I visit a lot to connect with the Celtic family across the globe. It's a good feeling and though I'm not far, just sitting in Edinburgh, I appreciate the chance to link up. For those of our group across the world I'm sure its even more valuable. Wherever you are,I hope you all have a very happy Christmas and we all have a very happy season.

I lived in the US in 2002 / 2003 and although I got to see all the games on Celtic TV one of the things I missed most was the chance to talk about the events with fellow Celts.
I can tell you now if CQN was up and running then I may still have been there now.
BTW i didnt miss the buns
At this time while we all make merry lets spare a few minutes to remember a dearly departed man of Celtic that we all miss but his family will be missing him very much right now.

BallymoteBhoy would be immensely proud of all that you've achieved.

can only add my congratulations to Paul67 and all others for making this site and its associated activities so very special indeed
it has been quite a year, the end to a league title we shall never forget, losing one of our greatest sons (and incidentally, great to see the divisions which scar us forgotten for a day, and hopefully longer). I was personally elated to have been able to meet Billy McNeill in Sydney (along with 150 or so others, including macjay and his lovely family) a couple of weeks after we won the title. having him sign his 1968 autobiography for my dad's 65th birthday and thank him for hitch-hiking to Basle in 1963 to see Celtic is very special indeed to me. I also now have a '67 top signed by the captain of that team. quite something.
best wishes to all and to macjay, neilr and setting free the bears in particular. you know what you did. and here's to 2009, may it bring four in a row and the happiness and health that flows from such an event!

Paul67, I read on etims RM a few days ago about the posibility about Aiden playing in the Glasgow Derby. Appologies if someone has asked the question but is this really likely?
Me, I can't see it, although I would admit throwing someone an opportunity like that as a challenge could possibly bring out a good performance although if it does not work it would bring ridicule for the manager. A gamble.

I've thoroughly enjoyed your contributions to CQN and your other fella's contribution elsewhere this year.
Keep telling it.
any of you bhoy's think it would be great for koki started on Saturday?
Fholks -
Not had much time to post lately due to being busy at work, plus moving to the new hoose.
Just a quick shout from me - to Paul67, and this wonderful creation of yours, which has helped so many people over the last few years, and to the real heart of CQN, the people. I have had the privilege of meeting quite a number of you, and it makes me proud when I read the words that Paul and others has put up there today, to say that I know you all, at least by blog-name!
I hope you can all have a peaceful time over this Festive Season. My thoughts are with those of you who have suffered over the last year, and I can only hope that the kind words (and deeds) of the good people on here has helped a wee bit.
I am heading off now, so from Vicki and me, have a very Merry Christmas, and we hope that Santa is good to you tomorrow, and exceptionally good to us all on Saturday!
Hopefully I will meet up with some of you again on the 3rd Jan in BBs.
Hail! Hail!

Have a great Christmas everybody
Hail Hail
A wee reminder of what that gutter-snipe Quisling McGuire said about us before we won the league last year. From CM
"The reasons for his side's failure this season have been well documented by me in this column. Sadly, the players I have been critical of have contributed nothing over the last few weeks to suggest they are capable of raising the standard.
I've listened to Georgios Samaras, Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and countless others all bleating on about how they can win 12, 11, no 10, oops nine, wait a minute, eight games on the trot to win the league.
We've even had the king of the one liners, Gary Caldwell, telling us that "Celtic are a better team than Rangers" before Walter Smith's battlers once again defeated them at Ibrox.
This is a results-driven business and I am gobsmacked that some pundits are suggesting Strachan deserves another season because of two titles and two last 16 appearances in the Champions League in the last 24 months.

20 minutes to Christmas. Away to check if the weans are finally sleeping (they've been 'sleeping' since before 10pm) so I can clear the chimney for Santa to drop off their presents.
Merry Christmas to one and all.

Merry Christmas to all and sundry!
Greetings Paul67,
I have been sent by the Admiral to your frame to drop of gifts of commodities. I am currently airborne over your rooftops dropping potatos, veg, fruit and grapes galore. I must confess though, this christmas you have is very odd. Since when did giving things away freely make someone feel richer? Your frame is so very neanderthal. Also why do I need to dress up in a silly suit with holographic deers (whatever they are). My machine can instantly transmutate to anywhere in the entire history and to certain frames of the future timverse. Well I suppose I have to keep timverse stable and if this is what is needed then so be it. I thought the Admiral could at least have sent my inferior, Agent Lingus with me. At least she would have kept me entertained. You may be glad to know also General, these holographic deer stink as much as a hun without a wash in the last year. The things I do for timverse.
To Infinity and Backwards
Peace To Y'All
Well, Santa has just dropped off the boys' presents, American Dad is just finished, and I am now sitting alone, all alone, posting this to anyone who cares to take a passing interest.
This time of year is particularly painful to me, I have lost a great deal of family members at this time. too numerous to count. The thing that keeps me going is my own young family and the belief that my departed siblings and others have gone to a place where there talents are appreciated. They may not have had the greatest lives, little money and lonely, but they are in a place where they can be themselves now.
I hope all who have suffered loss at this time of year, take solace from the fact that as Bob Dylan sang, Death is not the end. It is merely the place where we are appreciated as we should be, and our families should think on it as such, and celebrate it appropriately.
When I think on those who have left us, and me, in the past year, I smile. I think of the great things these people have given me. The laughs, the pain, the completely bizarre moments. They all make me laugh.
Bud Ice has a lot to answer for, Goodnight and everyone have a Happy and Joyous Christmas.
And God Bless us everyone(especially on Saturday).

Ironbhoy,
I would dearly love to stay on all night, pour out my soul, and have a we greet at ma keyboard. But, alas, I need to get to my bed, so that the boys are surprised in the morning, as Santa has delivered everything and more, as per.
One day I will stay on for a prolonged period, rather than just the odd post. Tonight, I don't think I could handle the emotion, nor the tiredness.
Goodnight and God Bless, or may your God go with you.

Daughter is playing Are you Going to go my way by Lenny Kravitz.
You guys should buy this game - it's phenomenal. You get drums, bass guitar, lead guitar and the words go along the top of the screen so the vocals into the mic (supplied) are a dawdle.

I can’t let a thread such as this pass without adding my tuppence worth. In doing so, I’ll add my wee contribution to the tunes. Not Celtic related other than it oozes ‘class’, just like our club and it’s support.
Pachelbel
Like so many others, especially those who are not local to Parkhead, this site has been an oasis of information, smiles and entertainment that often invokes thought, empathy and joy. It has certainly stoked many an emotion with me. Sometimes not the best ones though, but don’t blame me... blame Celtic and the passion.
It has been a pleasure, a sincere pleasure to be in the company that is so often to be found on Celtic Quick News. Reading the likes of James Forrest and Estadio among many another, often leaves me wondering why, with their undoubted talents, they are not wealthy authors in their own right. God knows they have the talent and the heart. I am just glad that they found this place too and they take the time to share their thoughts and words. Class is a word that springs to mind when I think back of some of their and other posters offerings. Class, unadulterated simple ‘Class’. For that, I thank you.
Humour often abounds here too. So many nights I have had my spirits lifted with one of the little gems that so many posters have thrown into the pool. For that, I thank you.
Arguments, debates, tiffs, differences of opinion. Dogmatic opinion, obtuse opinion, acute opinion, selfish opinion; cognitive dissonance, paranoia, dummy spits and good old ding dongs. For that, I thank you.
I have spent my life avoiding cliques, never did like the ‘exclusivity’ associated with them, so I belong to none and never will. However, because of these pages I have made a few good friends and met many people who under different circumstances I know we would be good friends too. Oltim, Ramie, SMB, and Kano (God bless him and give him strength) are just some of those I am glad I have met. I hope the future will be so kind so as one day it’ll allow me to once again meet up with those guys, and others like them, and once again share a few bevvies and words. Without CQN, I would never have met those gems of Celtic ‘Supporters’ and find myself on the edge of the ‘you have mail’ clique. For that, I thank you.
All the gossip, all the facts long forgotten, all the stats and all the analysis. For the songs debates, the ‘poppy debate’, the book recommendation club and the ‘Good Celtic Pub Guide’. Essential stuff. For that, I thank you.
For the opportunity to help others less able to look after themselves and have the good name of Celtic enhanced as an unsought by-product, for that, I thank you.
For the match day updates, often a life saver. The music, the nightshift, the weather reports, the badge sellers, (I will buy a couple too) the links to articles, the jokes, the ‘Irish bhoys’, the ‘American Bhoys’, the Bhoys of Europe, the Bhoys from the Southern Hemisphere, the Transient Bhoys, all the best of Celtic Supporters (New York City has a few of them) communicating on all things Celtic through a simple unpretentious forum such as this. For that, I thank you.
For giving us this forum so we can stay in touch and be befriended. To be ‘supported’ in times of duress and grief, for that and all the rest I thank you Paul and all those unsung guys in the background who help oil the juggernaut that is CelticQuickNews, your efforts are not without appreciation.
The blog at the moment is reflective of the season and in that spirit, I hope each one who visits here has a great Christmas.
You did all of the above, and more, Sir. Class. There is no other word for it. Pure Class. Thanks.
Kitalba........
I love all your postings on all things Celtic and agree with most of them. But I ain't going to listen to 5 mins 45 secs of Pachebel while oldest daughter is trying to master Oasis on her brother's Christmas gift :-)

It's not having the biggest and best Chrixtmas lights display,
It's displaying the light in your heart;

Since the blog seems to have run it's coarse for the day can I pass on some thoughts as to the game on Saturday.
There's many have posted that it's a must win game,I say to myself "A must win game",why is it a must win game.
A must win game,is a one off game where there's no second chances,The game that has to be won in one go.
Years ago you may have got the chance of a replay, but now you get extra time and then penalty kicks, these are the must win games.
Seville was a Must win game,As 1957 in Lisbon was a must win game, A cup final, when your in that final it's a must win game.
But to class the Ibrox game as one of those games is not so.It's good to get that win agains't them but it ain't a must win game.
Celtic should be going into that game knowing that no matter what happens we will still be top of the league come the end of that day,
If there's any team that have a must win game that day,it certainly isn't us,The southsiders can class it as their must win game.
I think this is going to be a good transfer window for us,not so much by us getting in players, but by the southsiders,If their true to their word, they shall be of-loading some of their better players, just to raise cash.
All in all Celtic should have the much stronger team in the second half of the season but strength alone won't get us to the winning post,Referees must control the game, and all we ask is for them to play fair,is that to big an ask.
There are a couple of games that I'd like to mention that stick in my head.
The first was when I saw a bit of magic,it was a nothing game,a round of the Scottish cup when Charlie tully had the audacity to score direct from a corner, and the referee also had the audacity to chalk it of for a mystery infringment(they had the power to do that in those days)But with the retaken corner, the bold Charlie sent it over, and scored again.
The second was in the League Cup Final of 57,I forget the score but I'll give you the scorers, Wilson, Mochan,McPhail,McPhail,Mochan,McPhail, and one of my heroes of that era Willie Fernie who was the star that day scoring a 90th minute penalty,While a hail of bottles poured down from the Rangers end,a happy day that was.
There was another game that I was going to mention but first I would like to give you a wee bit of interest from a Celtic Book that I just noticed today(maybe Gordon can enlighten us further) This is taken from a celtic book.
"Celtic made one of their most important signings ever on 4th December 1951.Assistant trainerJimmy Gribben suggested a player who he thought could do a job for the club and his advice was acted upon. The man in question,Jock Stein, joined a side struggling in the lower half of the First Devision."
If ever a person should be awarded by Celtic for anything,it should be Jimmy Gribben. But for the foresight of Jimmy we may never would have reached 9iar,The European Cup Final,And the many other accolades that have been bestowed on Big Jock and Celtic at that time,Maybe a wee bit should have gone to Jimmy Gribben,For having the foresight to mention a player who never lit up any team where he played until he reached Celtic,Well done Jimmy.
Finally another game that should get a mention,Its My Greatest Moment ever in Football,The European Cup Final,I can only wish that at some time in the near future we can reach another European Final,Just so you can get the same uplifting experience that we managed to get when there.I've never been so proud of being a Celtic Supporter,as I was that day.
If it ever comes, that we reach another final I think we would end up having a charter flight for CQNers rather than when in 1967 six of us set of in an old Ford Consul and once over the Channel,One of us admitted that he only had the equivelent of £14 for an eleven day safari, into what was the unknown at that time.
Just some of my thoughts on a Chrismas day.
Edward.
I received your best wishes,I posted on the blog last night wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and A happy New Year,But,As I thought that was rather impersonal.
I also thought I'd be smart and e-mail everyone at the same time with the same message,Somehow I think I screwed it up.
A Merry Christmas to you and your Family,And hope you have a Good New Year.
Oldtim67.
Memories are made of this.
Merry Christmas, my friend.

Yes I have eaten well,But never had a drink yet,I opened a bottle of 20yr old Glenkinchie Malt Yesterday had one glass and decided that was enough.
When does "Pabbers" start his long haul up the road,Wonder if he gets home tonight.
Hope all Hoops people, no matter where, have had a great day.
I was sorry to hear of the death of Harold Pinter. I've posted this before, but I read something of his during the summer that made me think immediately of Celtic.
Pinter took pelters from critics at the start of his career; his plays were panned and closed down in the West End only days after opening as a result of what the main London newspapers had to say about The Birthday Party et cetera (to paraphrase, 'I hadn't a clue what Pinter was on about, therefore the whole thing is rubbish'). He never forgot or forgave this, and although he contributed regularly to The Guardian and The Observer, he spoke with tremendous contempt about the press in the United Kingdom.
He said in one essay that the way the media ridicule anyone and anything who refuses to conform to life as they think it should be lived is a modern-day form of censorship. If people or institutions know they'll get slaughtered on the front or back pages of a tabloid, or lampooned on radio by jesters like Tam Cowan, they often stop putting their head above the parapet and just try to shuffle along like everyone else hoping no one notices them.
It didn't work when they demanded the flag come down and threatened to close Celtic Park, insisting that we fly the same flags as everyone else. But even today, there are those who are still trying to censor Celtic by continually chipping away at what we hold dear. The poppy and Hokey Cokey debates are very recent examples, as is the treatment of Artur Boruc and the press's attitude towards Gordon Strachan.
Individual writers of limited talent (most of those covering Scottish football, sad to say) are probably doing this at an unconscious level. This is the culture they work in; these are the words they have to produce to get along. But the thinking behind that culture is exactly what Harold Pinter described in that piece of writing.
It's something I don't think I've ever heard argued before, something I'm sure would never have occurred to me. The man was a glittering star because of his clarity of thought and brilliance in sharing his ideas with readers and theatre audiences. He was also a great lover of Ireland, by the way.
Celtic_First
Excellent words as ever.
I hope your Christmas has been all that you would have wished for.
Tonel for Rangers?
Not according to his agent.
Marcelo Cipriano was quoted widely in Portuguese papers yesterday pouring water on any suggestion that the defender was moving to Rangers.
In sports paper A Bola, he actually said: "I know that, at the moment, Glasgow Rangers doesn't have any money to sign new players in January."
He said Tonel was happy to stay at Sporting Lisbon. His contract runs until 2011, although his agent said a wee pay-rise wouldn't go amiss as Tonel was one of the most poorly paid players in the Sporting squad. No figure given for that.
Wee Chris Morris posted a theory that Rangers were trying to put together €1.5 million from the AC Milan friendly to finance the Tonel transfer. Marcelo Cipriano said it would take €5 million for any club to capture his signature in this window. Lazio and Panathinaikos have watched him, but have made no offer. He thinks the lad will be staying in Lisbon.
There were interesting comments from the player himself on the Sporting website on Tuesday. He said: "I've been told that there are quotes attributed to me saying I would be interested in playing for Glasgow [sic]. This does not correspond to the truth because I gave no interview and spoke to no one; I don't even know who Bert Mitchell, the journalist whose by-line appears beside the news item, is. It's all completely false."
Oh its all gone quiet over here
Its all gone quiet over here
Oh its all gone quiet , all gone quiet
all gone quiet over here
Hurray!

Is there anyone around tonight?
I have had some SERRIOUS problems logging on here since the blogger changed server.
THIS is my first post!
as it turns out it was down to my mrs playing about with my email settings. The confirmation emails were going straight to my junk mail n deleting!
anyway, being the season of good will i overlooked the fact she was in my emails at all, and forgave her. And now my rant is over!
on to the big day.....
is everyone of the idea that we will go with one up front?
or do we need 2 strikers to get a win?
i think one up will suffice, especially with the way skippy was holding the ball up and linking with midfield.
He has been workin up on his own for the last few weeks anyway, cos sami has been non-existent.
I would rather have the dogs of war (Robo n Jeebus(Hartley) ) in the middle, brown in the hole, with naka n koki either side.
or maybe Caldwell in the middle too, with Robo out left (might be too soon for koki), which then gives us Loovens on the pitch for set pieces
caldwll mick n loovens would make them work at set pieces, n naka n robo would give us variation.
and if we get a pen, it has to be Naka taking it, he scored the last one, and its more than anyone else can say!
merry christmas to all on CQN and that goes out to Ed too, untill the 27th anyway ;)
Skippy

You are right it is so much more of a 'must win' for Rangers, for me the good news is that with all the McGeady crap, and media focus of recent weeks I really think Celtic will be right 'up for it' no matter who Gordon selects for duty !
Celtic First
Always had a fascination for Harold Pinter. We covered a couple of his plays in 4th and 5th year I remember. I loved going to see different experessions of his work in London (not all good I have to say ! but still interesting ) when I lived there.
Missing the live sport today.....'dancing on ice', or my own 5 mile run outside or attempts at 'Wii fit' is s close as it gets !
At least the cricket is on in a couple of hours, and it is set up to be a cracker with the Aussies having a job to do, and both teams wearing green and white !
Then the countdown continues with Villa / Arsenal tomorrow, before the really big one on Saturday. I would love it if there was some kind of collective 'wind up'like the pepperami game, or the pre Seville match, these games seem to have always have had positive outcomes, and somehow seemed to have reduced my stress levels at Ibrox. The other good news is that we are in the same seats on Saurday as we were for the 'Bellamy' game....hopefully an omen.
Another highlight is some tasty NFL on Sunday late when the Blue / White and Orange uniformed Denver Broncos are at the San Diego Chargers. The Broncos seem set to do a Rangers (07/08) and blow their 'post season' opportunity.
Aussies / Villa / Celtic and Chargers will be my xmas bet (with the heart anyway !
Blantyretim........hi bud.....don't let mini Bt loose on the blog ......fholk will think she's on the board ha
are ye oot and aboot on the 3rd ? I'll be in Glesgae after the game.

Just finished watching Helicopter Thursday and the tribute to the late great Tommy Burns.
There was one flag shown near the end of the game which summed Tommy up " Tommy Burns Celtic to the core".
For all of us who were there that night or watched the game worldwide there is not a better way of describing what supporting Celtic means than being " Celtic to the core".
Aiden I hope you watched Celtic TV tonight, we all know what Tommy meant to you, are you Celtic to the core?
God bless Tommy Burns, Gordon Strachan and Glasgow Celtic.
