Zaluska signs pre-contract with Celtic
A big Celtic welcome to Łukasz Załuska, who has agreed to join the champions when his current contract with Dundee United expires at the end of May.
Łukasz is the latest keeper to come to prominence after spending time with world-renowned goalkeeping coach, Krzysztof Dowhan, from Legia Warsaw. The 6-ft 4-in, 26-year-old was called into the Polish national squad for the first time this season while Artur Boruc was suspended, and has been a key player for Dundee United since making his debut last year.
Well done also to Dundee United for giving Celtic permission to speak to the player before the transfer window opens on 1 January.

As I always get burned by Paul's "New Article posted" I will repeat my poor attempt at Christmas Celtic Carole
Away win at Rangers,
No Points for the Teds
The little Gord Strachan
Planned it in his ginger head
Tommy Burns in the bright sky
Looked at the hoops play
The little Gord Strachan
Had them playing the Celtic way
The Orc they are Howling
The poor Wattie shakes
But little Gord Strachan
No mercy He makes
I love Thee, Tommy Burns
Look down from the sky
And stay by my hoops side,
'Til 90 minutes is nigh.
Manage here, Gord Strachan,
I ask Thee to stay
Choose the hoops forever
And 13 in a row I pray
Bless all the dear player
In Gordon Strachan's care
And take us to seventh heaven
With a 7-1 win over the Bears.

Hi everyone- welcome Zaluska- an excellent signing!
While I'm on- I'm in Paris on Saturday- any tips for a pub where I could watch the game? Going to be in the 8th Arrondissement, if that makes any difference...
Thanks in advance : )
Thank you Naw-am-urny-Bhoy,
I wouldn't be surprised if he is between the sticks for us in that game (or on the bench at least).

We’ve got Narrow, Narrow, Narrow, Narrowbhoat Tim on the wing, on the wing…” Nah doesn't quite go does it.
Back to work.
Nice job Celtic. Getting a player signed on a pre-contract deal in December.
Should be an interesting signing and it will be good for Arthur to receive some serious competition to keep him on his toes. Mark Brown now surplus. Maybe a move to the east might be on cards. Hmmmmm..!!
Paul67,
Any news on Stilic. I'm desperate for this guy to sign!!
from last thread...
Vinnie Jones: hardman --> Gives it out and takes it with a snarl
Henrik: hard-man --> Gives it out and takes it with a smile
I think hardmen use preemptive violence, like Robson / Hartley in 2nd last o/f game last year. Can't think Henrik ever kicked anyone first.

WGS, the manager of Lech recently told their fans they would not be selling players in January, which may present a hazard to the player arriving in January, but Stilic wants to come to Celtic.
Welcome Łukasz Załuska. A good back up keeper for us, presumably with Mark Brown now finding another club. Maybe Hibs as part of a deal for Fletcher??
Just wait until we play Utd in January. Załuska's every move will be scrutinised by the media - and heaven forbid what might happen if he makes a mistake.
re the hard men.....
I cut n pasted this from the last thread posted just after Paul67's. I think ye'll agree it's worth a 2nd mention.

Hardest player to wear the hoops - Tony Mowbray.
Not only a tough player but someone who would be collected for games from the hospital in which his wife was dying from cancer and still had the mental strength to play games such as the 1-1 lockout game at Ibrox.
That's hard.
Nice one AndyM
Sorry guys, the Bravest of the Brave was wee Jinky no question.

Merry Christmas and a Properous New Year to all on CQN in case I don't get back on before the big day.
Happy Hunskelping to all the Team on the 27th too.
Henrik wasn't a hard man but he was a very brave player and showed tremendous strength of character to come back from a horrendous injury even better than before. I will always remember that sickening moment when his leg was broken ...
I'm sure he was a nightmare for defenders to play against with his constant movement and skill. He also never stayed down after a bad challenge as, unfortunately, so many do these days.
I was always taught at school to get up as quickly as possible then to smile at the defender - and never to let him know that he had hurt you.
Northside Dweller- thanks a million!
In my very first comment on Henrik today I mentioned how brave he was, as that is not in question. What I didn't like was Peter Grant being called a coward - he never once pulled out of any challenge on the football pitch and I defy anyone to tell me different.
Was he not brave in putting his body on the line for us in the Scottish Cup Final in 1995? That last minute cup-winning slide tackle?
I never called him a hardman either - to me hardmen are people like Ron "Chopper" Harris at Chelsea or Billy Bremner or Bertie Auld.
At Falkirk on Sunday I stood up for Samaras by likening the fact he rode one challenge by moving his body out of the way in exactly the same way Henrik used to do.
Yes Henrik was brave, fearless even in my opinion, but he was not a hardman who would put his body wrecklessly where it didn't need to go.
Nacho Novo and Kris Boyd are hardmen, you can see it in their faces and the way they walk, they must be hard.

Thank you Vinny and all for your kind thoughts, I am truly honoured to have claimed my first gold in a good few years so will treasure it as much as my first!

So, the transfer window hasn't even opened yet and we've signed Niall McGinn, Milan Misun and Lukasz Zaluska all for a double Laphroaig and a packet of peanuts.
I wonder if we can start to salivate yet at the prospect of who else will be signing when the men in charge put away the club purse and pull out the wallet... or even the cheque book?!
And then there's the exchange deal between Celtic & Liverpool involving McGeady going to Anfield with Andrea Dossena & Ryan Babel going the other way up the M6/M74.
I wonder who we'll see arriving at Ibrox between now and July?

McGeady swap?? Done Deal??
To be honest Ryan Babel is one of those rare things in the EPL IMHO, an under-rated player. Every time I've seen him in the Champions League, he's looked one of the best players on the pitch, but that is usually after he's came off the bench.
Cheers Vinny.
Always liked Mogga.
Funny the way that players like Mogga, Yogi Hughes at Falkirk and even Big Jock create teams that play in precisely the way they, as players, couldn't; on the ground, preference for one touch pass and move and certainly not defensive.
Obviously the exceptions that proves this rule are the likes of Souness, Smith, Wallace....oh....anyone else spotting something of a pattern here?
Paul
I don't think Dundee Utd had any choice re letting us speak to him. Unusually his contract with them ends on 31 May 2009 (as opposed to the usual 30 June), so he was entitled to speak to any club from 1 December.

i dont read newspapers.
old habits die hard ;o)
but i do know that Koki's debut has been reported with gusto. (the wife informs)
i remember catching the translated 6 o'clock news the day after he made his debut... if you remember, with 5 to go he swerved a few players then had a shot that sailed over the postage stamp... well, they reported that with a re-run x5 looped in the background.
there is something in the Japanese psyche that make them idolize those who travel abroad & succeed.
Naka is serious news here.
Koki is next...
on a purely selfish note - i crave the wee man to succeed so that there will be continued tv coverage of of our games... i live in semi-fear that post Naka i'll no longer watch the tic on a big telly

Hope you do get to continue to watch Celtic on the big telly as that will show that either Koki has become a big success with us or that the Japanese people still support the Celts even after Naka departs.
It was mentioned here yesterday that Koki was on the front page of some of the Japanese papers and relegating Man U winning a match in Tokyo to the inside pages.
let's hope for a continued relationship between Celtic and Japan.
PG, I think there may be an additional cash element of £3-4M heading south...
BigChips
to be honest, I'd take a straight swap for Mcgeady and Babel
Dossena looks woeful.
in saying that, I don't really want aiden to go either!
let's just sign Babel : - )
Student, Dossena is a pretty useful (international) left back, who has admittedly under-performed at Liverpool... but he doesn't appear to have settled there. Perhaps with a warmer welcome (albeit with colder weather!) at CP he would be happier and more settled, giving a truer reflection of his ability?
Mort
I think the relationship between Celtic & Japan is cemented.
I just asked thewifebhoydaveJapan to check the coverage of Koki and yes it was major news...
I hope that Koki has good people around him when his mentor - shitei seido - ups sticks n heads back east

Stuart - Where did I say that I'd find it offensive?
If you read again, my post wasn't about causing offence, but the mindset which approaches a situaton with that one goal in mind, whether they are successful or not.
Ed - A complaint before an action isn't really a complaint, more a cautionary note. I'll hold to that view no matter what the papers report. Oh, and the action isn't the "internet discussion", as we all know, we get all kind of idiots on these internet forums ;)

Possibly, I'm only judging him on his performances for Liverpool, dont think his 7mill price tag helped either.
He'd certainly come with something to prove.

Me thinks the reason the window will be extended, is to help the rearangers sign someone, anyone.
The Scottish Football Association have confirmed that the January transfer window will be extended into February.
January 31 falls on a Saturday in 2009, so the governing body have moved the deadline back to 5pm on February 2.
“Leagues across Europe are moving their January transfer deadline so that it falls on a working day,” SFA Head of Communications Rob Shorthouse said.
“This is a decision that makes perfect sense for players, clubs and for those who administer the game.”
The move brings Scotland in line with other European countries that have moved the deadline back so it falls at the start of the working week, as done so with the August deadline.
Hendy In Hull,
If you are going to Leeds do not go to the sports bar. It's not for people like us on days like that. ;-)
I would recommend O'Neill's in the city centre. Usually a decent crowd and a very big screen.
Therags...
I note the comments regarding the supporters of a certain other club singing the "Hokey Cokey" song to try to offend Celtic fans next weekend. Well, surely the way to stick it right back to them would be to simply join in and apparently sing it with them! Of course, our own version would be hailing our new Bhoy with Eastern Promise... our very own OK Koki.
regarding the hard palyers discussion.
The physically hardest players I have seen playing for us are Jim Brogan, John Clark, Bertie Auld, Mick McCarthy & Davie Hay (the hardest in my opinion). Pat McCluskey could also be among them.
Mentally hardest were Danny McGrain who recovered from 3 career threatening injuries & illness, Tony Mowbary for dealing with the heartbreaking loss of his wife Bernadette to cancer & Henrik to overcome his leg break to become an even better player. Gary Caldwell also to overcome the amount of abuse he has received, some deserved, some not, to become our most reliable performer this season.
We have a player Charlie Grant who played for the youth team, I dont even know if he is still registered as a player who could become one of the physically hardest. He was injured playing with Scotland u/20's 2 years ago, as well as Simon Ferry & Scott Cuthbert and does not seem to have figured at all since then. My cousin follows junior football & told me young Charlie used to train with Shettleston against their 1st team & the seniors in their team would not let him tackle them as he was such a ferocious tackler.
Charlie Grant is still going through injury rehab at Lennoxtown, there was an interview with him on Celtic TV a couple of weeks back, this is the second or third season he had an operation to 'cure' his injury problem only for another one to spring up in it's place.
Simon Ferry was playing in the reserves earlier in the season, he got himself sent off in the game against Aberdeen when McCourt scored his wonder goal. Haven't seen him since, suggesting his injury hasn't gone away either.

I wonder if WGS will be tempted to put him in beside Brown, with Caldwell partnering O'Dea at the back?
I'd love to see it, but I think it's more likely to be Hartley (if fit), with Caldwell and Loovens at the back.
I was glad to see McDonald and Samaras both scoring at the weekend, as they both really needed it before we play the Huns.

looks like they left a few things off that list that we don't like;
intolerance
racism
jingoism
white supremacist groups recruiting outside our stadium
rioting before during and after games then claiming it was those pesky Chelsea casuals again.
counting our league title before it's won
selling off our best players to keep the financial wolves at bay (we've been down that road before)
and of course the one thing we really don't like is being in the back pocket of a dynastic leadership that uses the club solely for their own personal gain, bleeding it dry until nothing remains but an empty husk.
Can't believe they left those out, especially jingoism.

I have always thought they did a good job, what with putting out fires and rescuing kittens from up a tree, but I am happy to fall in line with the Celtic party line. That is even though Joe Strummer did his last ever gig for them (suggesting they can't be all that bad).
They're bang on,though, with Gordon Ramsay but is there any special "Celtic" reason not to like banks. I am afraid I have no room left for any new reasons not to like them.

I am genuinely excited about this transfer window. The sound management of our beloved Celtic, coupled with the financial catastrophe facing many other clubs provides a double whammy for snapping up good young players. In an industry desperate for cash, those who have it set the agenda.

When I get chucked off the blog for this it'll serve me bloomin'well right.
I'm surprised the Rangers fans are saying we don't like authority. Am I to suppose that their delegation to Manchester was involved in some kind of ERASMUS scheme, or a recycling campaign.
All that renewable energy potential in Scotland.

So who have Rangers signed? Oh sorry, silly question.
BTW, is it true that Martin Bain burned his house down for the insurance money after being told that his Xmas bonus was coming in MIH shares??

Hendy In Hull.
If your going to Leeds for the game there is only ONE destination, forget Sports Bars and O'Neills, they are a nothing in comparison to north Englands greatest Celtic venue, get yourself to the one and only MCGUIRES BAR a.k.a THE REGENT HOTEL,its a no brainer mate, its a five minute walk from the main bus station,I dont know if youve already ruled this location out,if you havent let me know,I'll give you better directions to it.
TNT, though some with alternative country leanings may scoff, I will readily admit to having every Jethro Tull LP up until about the mid nineties...the last couple bought out of loyalty and nostalgia though
fergus slayed the blues.
WGS is excited about Semir Stillic - for me he is the next Naka. He wants to come to Celtic, but it will be hard(ish) to get him in this window. He is a clever player, free kick specialist and has been the driving force of getting Lech Poznan into the last 32 of the uefa cup. I think he will come irrespective of whether Naka is here next season.
I am excited about Szabolcs Huszti - a Hungarian at Hannover. He is out of contract at the end of the season. He can play legt back, but is usually deployed on the left wing. He scored a cracker against Scotland, and is a penalty taker.
these two would add to the squad. What we also need (if not now then the summer) is a top striker, central midfieler and left back.

the banks reference maybe alluding to something George Galloway said on talk sport when attempting to enlighten a knuckle dragger .
he stated a headmaster in a school in Dundee gave the whole class /school the day off to celebrate the first catholic to get a job in the bank of Scotland alledgedly can't remember the year .If you try you tube it is worth a listen.

Before I head off to steep the ham, take the turkey out from under the creadle and wrap up my Kris Kringle present, I would like to wish Paul67 and all the contributors to this Celtic Haven, all the joys and Blessings of Christmas.
Special mention to those who celebrate the Birth of Our Saviour and in particular to Celtic First, for his sincere defence of the Eucharist.
May God Bless us all and Peace to ALL who contribute here.

No one yet, but Tonel has 'sounded a come and get me plea'. Is it just me, or do others picture him raising a blue hunting horn to his lips?
Or is it the Sash Signal?
Having said that, I've always thought Longshanks can pick out a defender. Hope I'm wrong.

I hate Tull, saw them in the 70's thought they were cr*p, saw them a couple of years ago at the Cropredy festival and they were still cr*p but there is four or five songs that I do like of them, soon as they played them I leave, two of them Skating away and Minstral. At least he has learnt to play the flute a little better now if he keeps it up he might become quite average at it.
Give me Alt-Country anytime.

Did you both know there is also a very good venue in Doncaster? The club changed venues a few times since the millenium but the last time I was there it was in a pub 5-10 mins walk from train station,if I remember right its in a pub called "The Waggon and Horses" which is virtually right next to their former home "The Leopard",Im sure they are still going as they go to games-"Wim the Tim Yorkshire".
again, just ask if you need more info.

Welcome to Zaluska,I hope this isnt one of thos pre's we can back out of?

not seen anything of stillic although I think a few cqn bhoys like the cut of his jib .
huszti, if he is a left back and can take pens sounds just what the doctor ordered .

Bradford Bhoy..........North Englands greatest Celtic venue....hmmmmmmm (copyright Paul67).
So ye've not been to the Trades club in Blackpool then :¬)
Hendy In Hull..........It would seem that Bradford Bhoy is giving ye some good advise as I remember going to a Celtic Leeds Utd pre-season game (when MON was there) and we asked a PC in the city centre where would be a good place to meet other Celtic fans and he said McGuires.......

An excellent craic with plenty of song and Benny is the perfect host even if you do have to check your change!!! Yes,its Wim the Tim but Im not sure if the Doncaster mob still travel up with them or whether they are now two different clubs.
Fergus, thanks for the bank thing. I notice GG uses the theme from the Boss Cat(top cat) cartoon but like all deejays he talks over it!
TNT,how can you hate Tull when they weren't even on the FF list? What do you do if he keeps those 4 or 5 songs until the end? I have to concede that I very rarely listen to them now since my wife hates them even more than you do. Unfortunately, she doesn't like Steve Earle very much or anything remotely country.
Is Łukasz Lurking on CQN, if so welcome to the Celtic Family.
Any other Stephen Colbert fans out there? I think he's the funniest thing on TV just now. Here he is being vetted for a possible role in Obama's cabinet...
up_over_goal,
I can just picture the negotiations.
"Is that Sporting Lisbon?"
"Yes, who is calling?"
"I'ts Sir David Murray, owner, chairman and grand master of the mighty Glasgow Rangers, the must successful club in the history of world football."
"What can we do for you?"
"How much do you want for the boy Tonel?"
"3 million euro, Mr Murray."
"Hmm, well how about a swap deal for Christian Dailly, Steven Smith and Brahim Hemdani?"
"Are you joking?"
"I'll throw in a few bottles of a very nice red...."
"Goodbye Mr Murray."
Vinny
I have not sampled the Trades,I was put off watching in the Crazy Scotsman,I thought that was it for Blackpool,I eat the pie beginning with H mate and will be in touch for directions next time Im over in the Costa.
fergus slayed the blues
Stillic certainly has guile - very similar playing style to Naka. As a benefit, he is 21 and over 6ft tall.
Huszti - left back is not his no1 position, if he ever played there it would be a Robson esque scenario -he used to play LWB for Hungary.

Sometimes you have check to see if Benny is actually alive behind the bar. Went with Wim the Tim on a bus from McGuires for the Ronnie Moran Testimonial(er em I think UnChristian Dailly scored our only goal), I think it took a year for that stand at Anfield to recover. Recently I introduced Canamalar to McGuires in November, I think he was impressed with tiled Celtic crests in the toilet.
If the huns sign the guy from Sporting and somebody has a clash with him leaving teeth marks-
Will they get sent off for biting their Tonels?

I watched the September weekend game against TDOD in Little Fat Jacks with my three sons.
KM scored one of his few goals that day and we had a brilliant time.
Bradford Bhoy......you're very welcome mate...............
I remember a few years back there was a Rankers game coinciding with the Glesga Sept. weekend. We normally collect £1 on the door for club funds and I was asked to help out. I got in an hour earlier than usual to find upstairs where we watch the game completely chockers...it was like back in the Jungle days....anyway I made a plea on behalf of the club and went round with the bucket .....I swear I thought the floor was gonnae cave in......Some of our crowd found it quicker going up to the off sales and bringing in their own drink.....mad but brilliant.

Could someone please do me a favour and explain the whole Hokey Cokey situation? I've been offline the last few days and all hell seems to have broken loose

cheers mate I am a big fan of naka, so sounds good to me .
On the LB ,I think we need a proven LB one who will deter our opponents from exploiting that area of our defence .If we have to spend to get one then so be it ,we should be able to go that bit further to solve a problem area .

It certainly is the best venue Ive been in,I know theres Bhoys come from Newcastle Uni down for big games.I take it your in the county? talking of crests in the tiles in the toilet, heres one better, theres a pub in the centre of Bradford called The Star with Celtic crests on all the frosted windows, good wee pub and host too.
Celtic fighting back with good timing and good news.
It's all about what happens on the park on Saturday, but there's a hell of a lot going on off the park between now and early February.
I'm not sure whether we will win on the 27th, and in truth we don't need to, but I am certain we will leave them behind in January and will turn the screw on them on the field in February and March.
Dick -the one in the middle is leaning at a rakish angle. The one on the right though is bright and shiny in the sun, like Carla lying on a beach. The one on the left has seen better days, but who knows what stories it could tell, if only it could speak!
The downside to this is I fear my lack of terror when faced with images of the glories of the GPO will reveal me to be less than Celtic-Minded.
I note Mrs Cadizzy's views on country music and trust she won't be allowed to partake in the Tablet of the Ghods after her Christmas dinner.

Postman Pat is a good Tim name
I mentioned Darryl Broadfoot's flaw-riddled attempt at negative creativity earlier in the week, a jigsaw fit if ever I seen one of the media poodle creating a non-story full of holes in the week of the Glasgow Derby.
Step forward poodle number two - Chic Chico Not-So-Youngo Young.
Scotland are a full 3 months away from their next squad selection, the qualifier away to Holland. Why, need I ask, would the poodle find it of any relevance at this time to push the question of Boyd being welcomed back to Scotland?
Boyd has hogged the headlines and the TV sports news in Scotland as a result. Clearly a case of the newsmen "creating" the news.
Positive. Negative. Creative.
Thankfully, football on the park and the quality of player comings and goings will decide the title. Not manipulative, creative football journalists with a transparent theme.
Mrs Cadizzy will not be partaking of the Tablet of the Ghods even if she recants and sees the light re Steve Earle. Mind you, it is on the mantelpiece in full view so I've told them all it is made out of sheeps' innards. When I was a wean and the Ten Commmandments was on (at Easter probably) I was always confused by Moses having tablets made of stone and so big as well.
TNT, that's a great site..duly added to favourites. I like the Handsome Family and the Willard Grant Conspiracy but have moved on to Hank Williams and then Elvis Costello.
U2_1888
I agree regards the timing of the good news stories.it will counter the inevitable crap that we will see this week.
on form I cannot see us winning on saturday but a draw would be great.
also agree they will not be able to keep up with us in the next few months, there away record to date is mirroring last season.

On the subject of the rangers fans song book I think they are a credit to their club.
Totally deserving of each other.

Ive been sickened by Gordon Smiths pathetic pandering over Boyd reconsidering his international career again,Im sure its been gnashed about on here but to say he'd "love" to see Boyd back is cringey in its extreme transparent favouritism (maybe Im para),Burley has his work cut out for him!

Re: Jethro Tull.
Excellent band.
Singer Ian Anderson is indeed Scottish.
What is the DVD - Rock n Roll Circus?
On sat we need to take the chances that come our way .
I like strikers with composure in front of goal big sammi has bucket loads of it what he is lacking is focus at the vital time .
(caddete had both ,henke had the lot )sammi is letting himself down with thinking it is all to easy in front of goal .Skippy is struggling for goals but is giving his all (coming back from attacks aside )but he can score goals .SO let's stop passing up the chances bhoys and give them something to worry about .
They are blowing the dust off charlie adam and elbows Mculloch as we speak ,so let's get ready for a battle celts .
Bradford Bhoy, I don't know if you're on a wind up or not (after all you may not be as old as some of us)but here goes.
The singer is Ian Anderson from Dunfermline but brought up in Blackpool (left when he heard Vinny was moving there). Sonf for Jeffrey is on their first album (from 1968) called This Was. I take it the dvd is the Rocknroll Circus.

When I first saw your moniker I thought it has to stand for the very excellent DVD in question,Im absolutely fecking mad for that dvd,I even started learning how to play guitar because of it.How cool is the Dirty Mac? That is what you call a supergroup!!

Hendy_In_Hull, I've been to every home game this season. BB no need for apologies. When you get to my age, you forget that those groups that were very famous years ago may be completely unknown to you younger folk. The first time I saw Tull was on TOTP in 1969 when I was 12 (doing Living in the Past) and I was hooked by the mad eyes and the mental coat for several years. Don't listen to the Narrowbhoat Tim. Anderson can play the flute.... but not on two legs

My dear,dear,dear,dear,dear,dear,dear,dear,dear,friend..Auld Heid @11.59
You are quite right..
On the surface.. the "Living in the Now" Mantra,of which I am a firm adherent.appears to be .. at times, at times.. self wounding.
No question..
The idea of Being stringent and unforgiving in respect to Several Poor Performances, can to the uninitiated ..appear to hurt the Punisher,at certain times, and no doubt that is a possibility.
Howevahhhhhhh...
There is another very important aspect,to the act of meting Punishment to the back slider that can be over looked.
I shall now do my best to explain what it is.
I believe the following implicitly.
When a Player is not pulling his weight.. either in one Game..or in a Succession of Games...
That Player is what I term to be, REDUNDANT.. and in the FULL MEANING OF THE WOID...
He is occupying a Berth that is sorely needed to complete the full complement of the Team.
In other woids..the Team, if he remains a Member.. would still be in effect..
Playing with One Man Short~
If the Player in question is Lollygagging.. and offering no kind of help in fulfilling his function as a working Team Member, then he can be removed from the Team...and not be missed, in the least.
Even if his replacement did not work out. eether.. then essentially no harm has been done to the Team..in invoking Kojo's Mantra in the foist place.
Howevahhhhhh...
On the ither hand...
On Many an Occasion..the Replacement can, and Wull... make a DIFFERENCE.
And that is the whole idea behind Kojo's Mantra, in the foist Place..
If the Wine in no good... Then Throw it oot!
Sure. the New Replacement Barrel may disappoint, but that chance HAS to be Taken..rather than lose ..
All of One's Customers!
And if The New Barrel is no Bettah.. then the Harm has not increased.. it just remains as before..
And..
Lookee Here! There are Many Other Barrels in the Cellar!
You get the idea?
Course ye dae, pal.. you are no Mug.
I used the following as an example the ither day...
For weeks and weeks..
Molly, has bin a passenger .. almost a STOWAWAY.. aboard the Good Ship Celtica..
I use the term Stowaway.. for he spent most of the Time..
Hidden from the Action. In Game after Game after Game.
Under Kojo's Mantra, he should have bin Banished from the Foist Team... weeks before.
Now..Molly, is thankfully gone..
And..
Lookee here...
Koki, gets his shot..
And Surprise,surprise.. jist like Ah say...
Molly's Replacement..
Does Make a Difference!.. and once more Molly's berth in the team... which had bin .. Marked... UNOCCUPIED.. for weeks and weeks..
Is once more a Functioning Berth.
Now back to Samaras.
He is taking up space in the Team sheet that is needed to be filled.
He is NOT adding anything of worth to justify his selection.. and he has bin daeing this for Four or Five games.. forget his goal last time out..it did nothing to change the fact that he has bin a complete waste of a Team Selection..
Causing us to play with One man Missing... during his time Back in the Team.
Add the Molly vexation,of course.. and suddenly we are playing ..
with..
TWO REDUNDANCIES!
I hope that I have enlightened my Readers, as to the less than fully understood consequence of invoking my Mantra.
]
I am not including you my friend,in that remark.
Anyway...
Read this.. contribution..
at least Twice.. that is always my unsaid Advice to any of my Readers.. as I admit.. my explanations can get a little fuzzy roon the edges.
Kojo.
yer pal.. who likes ye a loat
Over the moon about this bit of business. I've wanted us to sign Zaluska since mid-season last year. He'll be challenging Artur from day one if Boruc is still with us. I have no doubt Zaluska will quickly rise in prominence to become one of the top goalkeepers in Europe over the next few seasons.
Greetings Paul67,
How's the 'Potassium Pleasure' working out for you? I hope your field is bereft of fallowness and your tubers are breaking soil. You may be glad to know, word on the horilator here in 2136 Paul67 is that Celtic Fc are about to sign World Player of the Year Henry Torrinho. In a deal worth 60 million corn cobs and 20 barrels of whisky to Dubia Dictators United. DD United it seems have to sell in order to repay their monumental debt for their new stadium fusion plant and are looking to offload the 27 year old to free up extra commodities from the bill. It is rumoured in some of timverses more illinformed sources that they want Ronalmessikak in a straight swap deal. Cant see that one happening General, but the thought of Ronalmessikak and Torrinho in a potent strikeforce for Celtic Fc has all of timverse salivating over their potato salads, even Agent Lingus is licking her lips in anticipation.
May I take this moment though to wish you Paul67, General Timlord, Saviour of the timverse and all your family, aswell as the bloggers of the pre CQN Blogosphere Blog a very Merry Christmas (whatever that is) and a great New Year (whatever that is)
To Infinity and Backwards
