1st

Sunday morning up with the Larks

1-0

Go Go Gadget fingers

Bugger

anyone else slightly worried about this game?
Not got a nice feeling about this.

Prove me wrong celtic.
Prove me wrong

TM has been looking at the blog and gone with the preferred midfield. 4-3-3 : You know it makes sense, big man! :-)

4-0 to the Hoops.

TTTT

Dayshift

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwM8pCAynbM

Go on the Celts

Hail Hail

Big, big period for us

3 games in 6 days

Goals today please

Jobo

TTTT,i have a bad feeling about this one..hope were both wrong.

4-3-3 with Brown getting forward ahead of Crosas and N'Guemo.

Good to see the squad being used and a new formation tried.

First chance to see our new left back too.

TM continues in his quest to boggle the mind of the Celtic support.

I'm away to see how this one pans out....

still look like a 4-4-2 formation?

Brave selections.

1 Boruc, Artur
21 Braafheid, Edson
22 Loovens, Glenn
52 Caddis, Paul
6 NGuemo, Landry
8 Brown, Scott
17 Crosas, Marc
38 Thompson, Joshua
9 Samaras, Georgios
11 Kamara, Diomansy
19 Rasmussen, Morten

Who will be left of midfield? Kamara?

ESPN nailing their colours truly to the mast. Calderwood on then showing the ICT game.

Good to see Samaras in the team

Gordon J - you thinking 2 central strikers and Dio wide?

Or Rasmusen middle with the other 2 in the famous channels?

Not a bad side, would probably have swapped Samaras for Fortune, but should be good enough

subs??????anyone?????

Jim White is a bam

Seven changes from Tuesday, as the search goes on.

Fortune injured?

HH

That's one of my smartest posts ever.

i think it's a 4-4-2 with Brown and Kamara on the flanks and Samaras and Rasmussen upfront. Can be easily switched to 4-3-3 though

Come on Celtic!!

coorslad - I've got no complaints about that line up. Oh no, what will I do?! ;-)

We need more bite in midfield today and Aiden needed a rest.
Game on!

TTTT

Chaplin 12:12 - not just "smart" but also true.

"Jimmy you know what it's like to beat Celtic"!!!!

Once in a million years!

bandwagonesque.

I was thinking 4-3-3 switching to 4-2-3-1 when they attack to counter their 4-5-1.

N'Guemo and Crosas sitting. Kamara, Brown and Samaras as the more attacking three supporting Rasmussen who is trough the centre.

No O'Dea on bench? Hope the Dutch section of the defence don't disappoint....

Mon the Hoops
TTTT

Richmond refereed on the last two Scottish cup exits for Celtic. Good eh!

Subs: Zaluska, Keane, McGeady, Zhi, Rogne

Get in to the shower of huns 88888 !

Like the look of Braff the Dutchie on the left hand side.

On first look it does appear to be a three man midfield.

N'Guemo left, Crosas central and Brown right.

Good to see "Dixie" Rasmussen as first name on the teamsheet

Good side IMO

I'll take 1-0, 4 would be nice though.

MTH

does the top 2 automaticall qualify for euro finals or does 2nd face another playoff?

cheers estadio

ref watches Kirk kick Caddis on the erse, & waves his finger

Good deliveries from our new LB there!

TTTT

Braafheid with a very good corner from the right and a fine follow up cross too.

Caddis can't cross either. FFS

Loovens takes another bang on the head. Doesn't see tooserious

Ballsy team selection

'GG

Spoke too soon there.... :-(

Loovens got a head knock, but he's back on. Not a lot being created so far.

TTTT

do we practice corners in training??

4th corner in 12 minutes

Twists

I'll have a wee punt on a favourite of mine today....

Double Vodka :-) 3:00 at mussleburgh

Just heading out, catch up with you later!

Mon The Hoops

HH

Crosas seeing a lot of the ball and spraying passes wide. The bhoy is class.

15 mins in.

Not one shot at goal, Rasmussen yet to touch ball.

Can't believe it Pars equalise FFS

Carry on Comedy

same old Celtic............

Josh nutmeged on the touchline they cut it back and slot it home.

1-1

sums up our season so far......defense is AWOL

Thompson nutmegged Caddis sleeping. We were in the lead for 32 seconds. FFS!

Come on Celtic. We need to defend!!!

WTF is Crosas playing at? Nearly sold the jerseys there.

Crosas allows the Pars a chance by not dealing with a high pass

Josh covering the left back position in lead up to the goal.

Where was Braafheid?

Dont fear Bhoys! we have this 1!

Penalty to Pars

Where was Artur Boruc!? Left back?

He looks to me to have given up on being a goalkeeper.

pen to pars

Pen Dunf - for nothing

penalty to them

Penalty to Dunfremline

FFS

Looks very much like a 4-5-1

Kamara on the right, Samaras on the left.

Are McGinn and McCourt injured?

Never a pentaly.

and as i post! a penalty!
FFS

WTF!!! an absolute disgrace Richmond!!

whos the mason in the red

FFS penalty Pars Caddis not arguing

Richmond yet again

2 1 dunfermline

If that was a push there are 12 penalties in every game

Duns 2-1 up

same old story !!!!!!!!

1-2.

2-1 Pars

And some people think this manager has what it takes?

Well done Richmand..well Bhoys looks like he's paid up his Lodge memebership this year...God Caddis Sucks

Caddis "pushed" attacker at Back post - absolute joke of a decision. Barely touched him. Should have been a booking for the Dunfermline player. Richmond is a CHEAT

1-2

pish

Thats me for the night! no more posts! JINX!

Time for Celtic to do something about corrupt officials.

NO O DEA,NO MC GEADY,NO KEANE,NO IRISH MEN,AND A PUDDING LIKE SAMARAS IS ON..DEAR DEAR..

Never a pen and Never a booking

shocking decision even davie provan says it was soft!...

Caddis seems to have a big hit for himself. Someone please explain why? He gave Richmond the opportunity to give a pen with a stupid nudge. Can't cross can't defend. WTF does he do? All that mouth in the papers that he would leave if he didn't get a chance. Byeeee.

Celtic will need to take action on this bias, embarrassing cheating.

Regardless of the result of this game

Oh no!!

This is where we need to dig in and deliver.

Words fail me they really do.

Its like watching reruns of a bad movie.

Soft penalty and no doubt the people that call people who don't rate Mowbray huns will use that as an excuse if we go out. But it won't wash with me...soft penalty or not, we shouldn't even be in this situation...

....still, give him time eh?

If we lose this I cant See Big Tony being in the job in the Morning..sadly.

Big Tony not bursting his lungs

Captain Brown needs to get his bhoys going

Caddis doesn't complain and that tells the story

The boy is having a nightmare

We are a shambles.

However, I sure if give our manager time he will get it right.

sarcasismlowestforogwitcsc

Mowbray looking very animated. Roger Moore school of method acting.

as i have watched (mainly in dismay) a back 4 that are playing together for the 1st time, i genuinely cant believe the positioning of glen loovens . he is without a doubt worse than the two that left.

crosas has at times been alongside young thompson, whereas loovens seems to be playing a cross between LB, LM, with our new LB playing LW.

if we are at 6s and 7s, its no wonder other sides are dying to get the ball up to our defence.

and i wont even talk about the goalie.

were a very poor second to a mid table 1st div team , says it all really.

W might see Keane coming on at left back..

Caddis is a winger asked to play RB all those that don't rate Hinkel take note Caddis is never a RB.

Crosas ran behind two pars players & complained when he didn't get it. GTF-imposter.

more hunbelievable refereeing decicions. this season is the worst i can remember in terms of outright cheating from the hun refs.

BBC radio slaughtering our team...and enjoying it!

Do we have to give Mowbray time? can we not have a manager who knows how to put out a winning team NOW??

Wee Green Machine...

Why "sadly"?

Do you enjoy having an incompetent manager and being the laughing stock of British football?

Is Ki on the bench?

Everyone on Radio Scotland said that it was a penalty.

We should be hammering teams like Dunfermline. Come on Bhoys!!

A winger who can't cross? Samaras FFS!

Mowbray needs to chase the referee all the way down the tunnel at half time, demanding an explanation for that penalty.

Make the reporters report something around the decision, let the cameras know that at least someone thought it was a terrible decision.

Who am I kidding.

why do i no longer get angry watching this inept side? I almost expect us to toil in every game now........

Did Richmond book player for taking a shot ages after offside whistle?

First goal - Boruc was almost as far out as thew edge of the 6 yard line. When is BTM going to drop this waste of space.

Second goal Richmond - Cheat.

Seville67

Caddis was stupid and has done himself no favours today, but it's the type of incident that the Huns get away with every week. That's the cheating bit !!

TTTT

Please, one of the mods ban this moron from posting.

N'Guemo WTF?

geebee1978

NO..I "sadly" hate to see our team being cheated by corrupt SFA and by corrupt Refs...as well as the laptop loyals constant targeting . I have never seen so many "Bad Calls" we have been cheated out of at least 6 matches by my count.

we have an appalling return of goals from corners

game is mince same as last week and the week before and the week before that

btw if that`s a pen i`m a TM fan

Christ....

Is it 4-2-3-1? Rasmus certainly seems to be playing ahead of the others - Kamara-Brown-Sammi behind him?

well done to the moderator who got rid of 'honest tim's' moronic statement - Paul please get rid...

'An honest tim'

I find you an objectionable hun. Perhaps pretending to be a celtic fan makes you feel almost human but unfortunately for you clearly not enough.

You are scum for using such language.

GArbage, not watching until Roy Keane is the boss in the summer

O'Dea has a hamstring injury which kept him out against Kilie. That apart i am baffled by todays team. I would have thought a manager who is under pressure to deliver at least one trophy would want to pick his best team. Instead we get anothe experimental line up. Brown isnt fit. Shocking

SOS time now, but lets stop the back biting. if we lose fair enough the forum will meltdown but nows the time to stick together and get back into the game

commentator"contact with Kamara" Provan "entitled to go for it" = STUDS

Sammi is breaking up the Celtic Attacks

Must bring in Keane.

PjDali

inept is right and most have come to expect it ...apapthy has set in

as i type we miss from another corner

Alex Burke deffo LOOKS like an ex Rangers player.

One ugly boy.

MODERATORS

Why has my post been deleted and that idiot 'honest tim' is allowed to continue after his despicanle post...

Radio Scotland voices drop! Have we scored?

Whether it was a soft penalty or not the thing that got me that Caddis or any other Celt for that matter did not protest, compare that with the fifers who soon as Caddis touched their player three of them were shouting at the ref.

We seem to accept our lot I would to see them argue nearly every call regardless if the ref got it right or not, the manager should be telling that. The more you complain and give him a hard time to a ref about his decision the less likely he is going to give a dodgy decision as he doesn't want it highlighted or the hassle, the manager should also complain about these decisions in public instead of praising the ref. Where is the fight?

RaRa Scores

YAAS Dixie!!!

Superb play by Braafheid 2-2

yeeeeaassthats more like it cmon the hoops

That's what youre there for Rasmus!!!

That man to start every game.

...despicable post

2-2 RaRa scrappy, but who cares.

Braf great going forward down left. Created both goals.

Come on now!
TTTT

One could almost say that was "Rammed in"..eh get it? see what I did there?

All from good work on the left by Braafheid

Rasmussen. Ya beauty! A penalty box striker! Let's get stuck in and win this cup tie.

42mins

Rasmussen poaches a goal. Take 2 attempts but was insistant he would score.

I really like this lad.

Yasssss, get in there big man. Cmon the hoops

now lets get get going

Thank god!!

Come on Celtic!!

Good play by Braafhied for the goal.

Ra Ra Oooh La La

Great play from braafheid for the goal, more of that please Braaf!

An Honest Tim,

Have you forgotten that there are rules on this blog?

Please please please Celtic ... let this be the turning point....

very hungover so have just dragged myself to the tv...WTF!

Rass just scored - he looks like an instinctive striker - a must play by the looks of things...

Are we playing any system/shape?

Starting already to not like Kammara...if he was half the player he clearly thinks he is - he's be a Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford...

Tony needs to reflect and do what he thinks is right - he's a decent man - I think he will.

Even if we go on to pump this lot...it does not disguise the fact we are a shambles..

The Ki to My Heart

yeah he looks that part, I think Braafheid was great for the first gaol as well.

A typically up and down first half. Some decent play at times but lacking cohesion overall.

Rasmusson showed what he can do if we get the ball into him. Crosas playing well as is Braafheid.

Rest need to do better. Much better.

sorry to all passion getting the better of me.

i have all my english pals with me and i get embarrased when we dont hump pub teams.. bit like man utd versus oldham..

Kamara and Braf are a cut above the rest.
Well done Razza first name down on the team sheet.

Awfull defending against poor first div opposition.

Lose this and my towel and I could be saying bye bye

An honest tim on February 7, 2010 1:01 PM

You are below contempt, I won't lower myself to responding to any more of your posts. If Paul allows your type on here then the blog is going downhill quickly. Celtic fan....yeah right

Celtic please, please, please shut these people up. Make them have to talk about how good we were in the second half. Force them to give us credit. I want to be able to see the thinly disguised disappointment on the faces of White and Calderwood at the end of the game. For the love of Lubo, Jinky and Henrik Larsson make it happen Celtic!!

Charlie Richmond was not so keen on awarding penatlies previously.

Cheat

An honest tim you are a horrible Hun please go away and gies all peace !

TNT

PRECISELY

every week is the same we are cheated

"take it on the chin and move on"......sick fed up with that

btw

why is the hun home game on the tv next Sunday ......these feckers are on every week sometimes twice

Even Calderwod thinks it was a soft pen!

Look at An Honest Tim - he even kids on he has friends.

Yeah im with all my english mates yet im still posting on the forums.

wee shame.

As for the Radio Shortbread commentator, he sounded like he was announcing the death of the Queen Mother when Ras scored. In fact it took about 30 seconds for it to register that we had equalised.

Great first goal from Kamara- good play from Braafheid, Samaras and Kamara

Stupid defending- lets them back in it.

Charlie Richmond does what he does best- cheats. How in good God's name was it a penalty. HUN. However, why can't we score penalties???

Rasmussen then does what he does best, gets his goal in the box.

CMON LETS SMASH THESE MINI-HUNS!!!

P27

DOD doesn`t make the bench

is there an U21 rule in the cup ...

how am i going to get through the second half with only 4 smokes left?

Celtic will take 'em apart in the Second Half.

No question.

Kojo.

There surely can be only on e nickname for our Great Dane. It has to be Dixie.

Listening on the radio.

Penalty was a stonewaller, according to Pat Nevin and Jackie Macnamara.

Both are shocked at how badly Scott Brown is playing and wondering aloud whether he's still worried about his injury.

Braafheid looks a decent player, good goal by Kamara.

The shambles remains win, lose or draw, Thompson found out, Caddis is a wee bhoy struggling.

With the individual players we have I'd expect a second half similar to Perth, with Celtic winning 5-2 or 6-2

I can't understand why the Celtic players didn't protest the penalty, even Calderwood was embarrassed at the re run.

HH

imatim67

you know I Smoke ten times more during a Tic game than at any other time in my life...It's quite sad really..lol

Its just a Big conspiricy...Aye right. You better add half of this Team as well as TM to that list. They are giving Murray another Golden Ticket.

Stop kidding yourselves FFS.

EN

plenty for you to write about again

imo ...the Pars guy backed into Caddis .....

i am however concerned how ineffective Boruc is at pens ...given the number of pens we concede .....he really should be looking like some one sometime

fat , lazy and disinterested

Crosas off - is it me or does absolutely nothing make sense any more?

Dinky Diamond - you,ve got the wrong Burke. Alex = exGlasgow RC team and Killie. CHRIS Burke = exGlasgow RC team and Hun

bournesouprecipe, penalty was a stonewaller. Caddis pushed the player on the back when he was mid-air. It only takes a slight nudge when you are jumping to change a goal to a miss.

I would have given it.

Bourne

Caddis booked for protesting. Not shown on tv.

KEANO

When you watch the likes of Charlie Richmond you have to believe that the mindset is always "Can I give it? for celtic's opponents and for Celtic Is there any reason I cannot give it?

KEANO!!!

bournesouprecipe

the passion has gone at Celtic.

If your own manager doesn't like being in the job and demonstrates zero emotion whether you win lose or draw......I guess we should just take it on the chin and move on and so do our players seemingly.

NGuemo seems to getting forward supporting attacks, but out of the midfield three he should be the most defensive. I like Sami, but he's so infuriating at times.
Robbie will come on and mibbees Aiden too. We must get the next goal.

Robbie is on....Crosas off. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRGH !!! FFS!

TTTT

The captains armband is cursed

Keane on and Crosas off

Confused.com

We are being bullied in midfield.

Result? Take off a midfielder.

Am I the only one that thinks the Crosas & Nguemo combo is not working. I don't think Crosas is doing it today Nguemo is getting forward though.

Keane on for Crosas I guess for once Tony and I agree

Keane on for Crosas. Strange change for me.

Kamara into the midfield three and Brown central

crosas off dont understand that but lets hope it works

Have any of you noticed there have been a few dodgy tackles in the D'line box when our players have gone down(N'Guemo, Rara-I think)but there has been no mention, hint, suggestion even debate about the tackles. Now I'm not saying they were penalties but paranoia tells me that if they had been in the Celtic box we would have heard an almighty roar, time and time again. Incidently I thought I was on ESPN not sky. So White & Calderwood FFS.

notafanofstan

I know........I know

Too many are treating this like a stroll in the park.
RK on so let's see if the front pairing becomes a bit more active.

'GG

Paul67

Stonewaller only against us? - pity he only sees them at one end.

HH

Paul67

Afternoon Mate..how's you today? and how's the server treating you?
Fair enough on your call on the Pen but I still think it was soft and a good few of the Refs Calls this season should be looked at.

Why is Crosas off?? Samaras was mince in the first half. Crosas played well IMO.

Not that strange, Crosas was playing far too deep. Hiding away from D'line niggling tackles.

heatleader

Just wiki'd him and your right, im sure he played for them before Killie but no.

Deffo looks like a Hun anyway :-)

Nelsbhoy

just because we`re mince doesn`t mean that the ref`s don`t cheat ....how many pens have we conceded recently/how many pen claims have we had turned down

it`s shocking mate

Landsakes!

Keane on.. Crosus off..

FOUR TWO FOUR...Formation.

My recommended formation..

The Only Formation to play in my opinion, incidentally.

The Brilliant Magyar Killer Formation!

The ONLY WAY TO FLY!

Kojo..

Happy.

many little misunderstandings across the team...the reason most managers build new teams graduallu, I suspect - but not this one..

Let's play 'guess Artur's weight' - I'd say 17 stone...any advance on that?

Braafeld needs to learn the rules. You have to go through tackles.

Dinky Diamond

thanks, makes me feel better week in week out teams get away with touching a striker.

PJDali

tend to agree.

HH

Why is Keane getting all the stick? If it's cos he's Irish will anyone mention racism? WTF is their no.7 at?

P67

a stonewall pen ...come on pal

even Jimmy Calderwood didn`t think it was ...jeez

With Richmond in charge......who would sub Caddis before Richmond sends him off?

Both Braafhied and NGuemo have been fouled and play has been allowed to continue.

Boruc is 16 stone.

Great for a wrestler - not for a goalie...

Suprised we have a kit big enough - must be from High and Mighty sports division

Dinky Diamond

I was just about to post the same thing..I can see Caddis getting sent off here

RARA can't score from a yard

we still complained about the OfficialsPF

During Martin ONeills era we still complained about the Officials,in fact we always have.We are as Fans frustrated at the way this team is performing and looking for any excuse to shift the blame.

Sick frustrated and noe on the Vino. They better win today....

Rasmusson almost in after good play from Brown and Keane

Paul67, if that was a stonewaller there would be 20 penalties a game.

Brown being silly for the camera

vale bhoy - that's a load of nonsense about Crosas! Is Broon actually on the park?

TTTT

two smkes left

Dinky Diamond, I agree that wee Alex is indeed no oil painting and would therefore qualify in that way as a member of the Uglies. He is also a Celtic fan, as far as I am aware.

An honest tim on February 7, 2010 1:26 PM
Boruc is 16 stone.

I'd say WAS 16st...!

Sami is pure mince. Reminds me of an unseated horse galloping anywhere at the national.

Kamara should have had a penalty

Let's go get another one, just in case!

N'Guemo FFS

Does N'Guemo get his shooting boots from Lennon?

Third goal definitely an og from the replay

McGeady to come on.

Macnamara: "Robbie Keane is a class act - it's all about the choices. He plays the correct ball."

Aiden Mcgeady take note.

Keane making the difference.

Tv shows Rasmussens 2nd to be an OG.

Still his as far as im concerned.

It looks like an OG but excellent cross from the right by Kamara

McGeady coming on for Kamara

McGeady that'll give the racists 2 to abuse

Our third goal looked like an OG, NO?

Keane will not score before hun game.

If he is that great, why no EPL teams after him?

Aiden coming on for Kamara. Hope he's in the mood.

TTTT

Aiden coming on, I guess there is not enough wingers on the pitch for Tony.

Kamara off for McGeady

I would have taken off Samaras

Kamara scores and makes the 3rd,and samaras is left on..

nothing new there then hoopedreams....

Don't you love it when thug defenders hurt themselves in those tackles?

McGeady on Kamara off.

C'mon Aiden!

An honest tim -

You are an idiot. Both West Ham and Sunderland were after Keano.

Ulryc

Keane for Crosas seems to have been an excellent substitution.

Kamara was haing a good game, well done him.

RaraRasmunssen now with three goals in two games.

pen FFS

Keane pulled down - pen

Keane fouled
Penalty to Celtic

I thought Kamara was having a good game, scored one and set up the third, is he injured or knackered? I would have taken off Samaras.

Keane and big rass look good together so far

Bang on Q

TM puts on his two subs.

Why Tony?

Last man should have been sent off. Not even mentioned. Pity Kirk injured

Ball rebounds onto Looven's arm from a challenge - never a pen.

Provan takng nonsense about the position of his arm and thinks it could have been a pen, despite admitting there was no intent

Is it too much to expect a so called media professional to understand the laws of the game?

Keane and Rasmussen up front the rest of the season. I want more goals!

We've been playing well for the last few months but without scoring the goals we need. It's no coincidence that all four of our goals today have come from players who weren't here a few weeks ago. Some excellent transfer-window work from BTM, although I have to say his substitutions have been a little bizarre today, and not for the first time.

some harsh words for Sammi...unfair in my view - I predict he'll start to flourish - he's got the ability - no doubt

Keane and Rasmussen up front the rest of the season. I want more goals!

Nelsbhoy

it was ever thus

disnae means its right

btw your boys in SW are taking the rise right out of me today

VIPER parade @6 pm tonight ...bar stewards

Bhoyfromcults....

Agree. Sammi is very much a confidence player. Last thing you need when things are going against us and the fans are on the team's back.

However, if we're winning games and there's a feelgood factor around the place, I'd expect some slalom runs and explosive goals.

Wee Green Machine...lol

total control. don't blow it Celtic. See what I mean about that final ball? One day it'll click & we'll murder someone. Hope it's the huns

Braadfeld nicks ball away=foul. Final ball, eh? It will come!

Sammi should not be playing

Be is extremely poor.

Kojo.

Great run from McGeady but delays the through ball for Keane

Frank Sinatra on the radio singing You'll Never Walk Alone!! A change of fortune surely to come!

Can only assume TM took Caddis off before Richmond got an excuse to give him a second yellow. I won't be relaxed in any remaining games this season unless we're three up at the time...!

TTTT

Braafeid looks the business. Great going forward, solid at the back and doesn't mind giving out a belt now and then.

RaRa looks pretty damned good, knows where the goal is and ain't too bothered about much else.

I like Kamara, hard worker, pretty skilled, and not ball greedy either - takes a mean corner as well!

Samaras can go to whoever wants him. Sooner the better. Not a fan of Caddis either, hurry up and get fit Andy Hinkel.

Edson looks a real find at left back, well impressed with him.

Spearman

Hey I'm here all week... try the fish lol.

think the guy next door might know who I support now..well I'm pretty sure he knew anyway.

Loovens good defending. Provan's wee uncle Tom. Federal Union of Diddies.

re bhoyfromcults.Boruc Aye 16 stone and that's just his heid and / or ego.
Hail Hail

I am most disappointed with Master McGeady..

His distribution is INSUFFERABLE.

Man.. a Man with all that talent..

CANNY FIND A CELTIC PLAYER with his final Ball.

Kojo

PF

Would you not maybe send the Firm's Junior Lacky for that one?Keep you sober for a wee while anyway.

We recently done a traditional. What a nightmare that is!!

Hail Hail.

I'm a fan of Sammi...I think he's on the page ahead of some of the guys he's used to playing with...some of the new guys may be on the same page - hopefully.

However - I think his main asset can't be used when he's so deep in midfield..he looks quite ponderous ebut I think he has a loping stride and when he motors he can burst away..I don't see this being exploited..

Not his best game today..

Braafeild looks competative.

I wonder what keane's making of his move so far?

any mention of Keane being nudges? N;Guemo sleeping.

even provan says it was a pass back picked up by the keeper FFS

4-2 FT

A win – and that was the primary objective. But not a comfortable win by any means.

Disjointed at times, but with flashes of what this team can do. And also with some of the defensive frailties we’ve come to expect.

Braafheid looked very good on his debut. Rasmusson showed that he will get among the goals. Kamara got off the mark too. And Keane influenced things when he came on.

I also thought Crosas had a fine first half and was unlucky to be hooked, especially given Samaras’ lack of any positive contribution.

We are in the draw, but there is a lot of work still to do. I expect a fair few changes for Wednesday.

Again the away support embarrass us all by singing about joining the IRA.
Pathetic.

Hooray,

We need to tighten up for Wednesday.

Jim White & Jimmy Calderwood have different expressions from half-time.

I wonder why??

Thank God for that result.

The referee nearly cost us the game in the first half.

I still don't know why that penalty was given, a bit like I still don't know why Fortune's goal was disallowed against the Rangers.

Probably because it was never a penalty and definitely a goal.

Will that mean Jim McIntyre's getting "Sacked in the morning " ?

Very Entertaining Game.

Luvved every minute.

Kojo.
Happy as Larry.

Job Done

Big TM delighted

Love

I must have imagined it

the result is all that matters

but the Dunfermline players passed the ball better through midfield than we did

zhi was a joke

brown just terrible

the number of misplaced passes was shocking, Id love to see the stats on number of passes we completed compare to dunfermline

defence is still shocking too

scary still look a bunch of individuals

Dunfermline 2 - 4 Celtic

By Keir Murray

Celtic recovered from a 2-1 deficit to overpower Dunfermline at East End Park and progress to the quarter-finals of the Active Nation Scottish Cup.

Diomansy Kamara blasted the visitors into the lead in 20 minutes, yet a minute later David Graham side-footed Nick Phinn's cross past Artur Boruc.

Andy Kirk then put the Pars ahead from a penalty conceded by Paul Caddis.

But Morten Rasmussen stabbed home a goal either side of half-time then Robbie Keane scored from the spot.

Celtic had most of the early play, pressurising Pars goalkeeper Greg Fleming with high balls into the box.

But for every attack down the right by Paul Caddis, in for the injured Andreas Hinkel, the home side held firm and themselves looked in the mood for the fifth-round tie.

Jim McIntyre's team tackled aggressively in midfield, with Nick Phinn and Willie Gibson giving Diomansy Kamara and co little time on the ball.

Occasionally they worked their way towards Kirk up front but the support was sporadic.

Keane started the match on the bench, one of seven changes made by Tony Mowbray after the midweek defeat by Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League.

Like Hinkel, Jos Hooiveld missed the match through injury so Edson Braafheid, on loan from Bayern Munich, made his debut.

Celtic's pressure paid off in the 20th minute. First Georgios Samaras's shot on the turn in a crowded penalty area rebounded off the crossbar and amidst the frantic scenes the Greek had a second effort blocked by Neil McGregor.

The ball eventually fell for Kamara, who rifled an unstoppable shot into the top right-hand corner of the net, with Greg Fleming rooted to the spot.

As the visiting fans celebrated, their unease at recent performances surely easing, Dunfermline hit back.

A long ball down the right was chased and controlled by Phinn, who nutmegged Thompson too easily at the corner flag, ran towards goal and his low cross found Graham, who nicked in front of Caddis to deftly side-foot past the exposed Boruc.

Boosted by that, the Pars pushed forward and won a penalty when full-back Caddis nudged Steven Bell off the ball at the far post as Calum Woods' cross looped over the central defensive pairing of Glenn Loovens and Josh Thompson.

Kirk sent Boruc the wrong way for his 15th goal of the season and in doing so placed further doubts in Celtic minds.

Celtic drew breath and with three minutes to half-time they levelled.

Braafheid's clipped cross from the left was headed sharply towards goal by Brown and in an untidy scramble which produced a save by Fleming, Rasmussen's persistence and poacher's eye meant he was in the right place to prod the ball over the line.

Willie Gibson produced the first chance of the second period, shooting powerfully at the Celtic goal but finding Boruc well placed to make the save.

Fleming denied Keane, on for Marc Crosas at half-time, and Rasmussen in rapid succession 55 minutes.

The on-loan Spurs star shot from an acute angle on the left and when the Pars keeper blocked the ball landed at the tall Dane, who must have been astounded to see his own effort palmed across goal and cleared.

In the following minutes, Keane teased a battery of Dunfermline defenders inside the box before poking an effort at goal, then found himself one on one with Fleming.

Yet again the goalie saved well, but when the ball cannoned out to the touchline it was Kamara who collected and swept a cross into the six-yard box.

While Dowie and Woods were caught in two minds about how to deal with the beautifully delivered ball, Rasmussen was single-minded and slid in for his second.

Keane was brought down in the box by Austin McCann, who got both ball and man, as the Irish striker inspired swifter and more imaginative attacks by Tony Mowbray's side.

Taking his time to compose himself, Keane rolled the ball home for his first goal in Celtic colours and he celebrated in trademark style before his adoring travelling support.

Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre sent on Joe Cardle for Phinn, while Zheng Zhi took the place of Caddis, then Kirk made way for Graeme Holmes as McIntyre tried to re-ignite his team's play.

Quote from Pat Nevin:

"This is the genesis of a good team. I would be worried next season if I was a Rangers fan"

Quite liked the shape we had after Keane came on - Kamara-Nguemo-Brown in the middle with Samaras behind a pairing of Keane and Rasmus. We enjoyed our best preiod of control in midfield between then and when Zhi & Aidan came on. I think Kamara provides good balance on the left and seemed to work well with Braafheid. Maybe we could try the same with Ki or Fortune playing where Sammi was?

Decent win, though pretty disjointed. Clearly Rasa is the goals in this side - first name on the teamsheet.

Bhoyfromcults.... what do you think of Rasmussen?

new article posted.

Through to the next round and thats all that matters. Mixture of performances I thought. Kamara look useful and Ramussen will certainly benefit from playing with Keane.

Thought Skoosh played himself into the game without being outstanding but for a man who has been out for months it was encouraging.

Crosas offered very little and his omission at half time was justified. Both full backs were excellent offensive.ly but I would have reservations about both their defensive attributes.

Should have scored more but attempted through balls from midfield - Aiden, ZZ and Skoosh to a lesser extent were poor - as usual.

Referee had a good game. Their penalty was softish but Caddis gave him a decision to make

We Conceded 2 goals, and had to come from behind against the likes of Dunfermline. Sorry, but that is not especially encouraging.

Funny how An Honest Tim almost disappears when we win.

Strange that.

Keano is on a different planet

2-2 Rasmusson not even excited cos we'll no doubt lose a 3rd goal

bournesouprecipe

the passion has gone at Celtic.

If your own manager doesn't like being in the job and demonstrates zero emotion whether you win lose or draw......I guess we should just take it on the chin and move on and so do our players seemingly.

Brafeid looks solid so far....promising debut

First of all may I congratulate you on your positive post at the end..that must have been tough for you!
seriously man! 4 goals and that's the best you can do?
Not the best Celtic performance, that's for sure, but I would have more respect for your criticism if it were tempered by some praise or at least some joy when we score.
You seem genuinely annoyed when Rasmussen equalised for 2-2! (your post at 12:58)
Some on here would probably call you a hun but I won't.
I'll just call you a p*iss poor Celtic supporter!

Does anybody know any good bars to go to when I'm in new York?????, I'm over there for st.pats
