By: Mark Henderson on 24 Aug, 2013 14:00
AMIDO Balde makes his first competitive start for Celtic today against Inverness Caley Thistle as Neil Lennon makes five changes to the team that took on Shakhter Karagandy on Tuesday night.
Also coming into the starting XI are Efe Ambrose, Beram Kayal, Tom Rogic and Tony Watt, with the Hoops looking to bounce back following their defeat in Kazakhstan and extend their 100 per cent start to the domestic season.
Kick off in Paradise is 3pm and there will be live updates of the action on the club’s official Twitter feed: @celticfc

Like others I am wondering where Stokes is I am sure he was on the bench on Tuesday ? If he is fit and not in the squad I would say that is very concerning. H.H.
From the little we saw of Derk I think if he can be fit for midweek we can dominate down the left and create chances for fun.
Can we keep a clean sheet though………? Yes we can.
Get a much needed moral boost today and give Lenny food for thought Amido and Tony please.

Good to see a Celtic team with 2 Centre Forwards
Hope full backs can get some service delivered to our front men as nothing in mid to deliver from wide positions
Hope we are not relying on Tony Watt to supply from wide?!
Unless
Master Rogic can pick some locks ???
I think he can
Should be very interesting

No problem Kojo, enjoy the game.

Starry…,
To be honest, I’m getting more hopeful for Wednesday the more injuries I see, said it here midweek, it seems we play a lot better when we don’t put out the managers first choice squad, and that’s not just Lenny, that goes back to WGS

I’m quite excited to see what the new starts will make of the opportunity. See you in 143 in 10 minutes.

Not a good injury list but lets get this out the way today with a win hopefully and see what happens on Wednesday.
I’m keeping my powder dry on the footballing side f the team until after Wednesday, I have my own ideas about the team but I doubt they will be very popular!!
A win is all we need today, I don’t really care how it is achieved, I’m happy to see Balde start, let’s see what he can do and Rogic let’s see what he can, you know what I’m like about the midfield if he’s not ready we have to add a football playing midfielder to the shopping list…

Stokes doubtful, Sammi toe injury, Wee James to see a neurologist…Derk ankle problem and Kris groin problem, genuine injury concerns not being rest…
Neil on Celtic TV
In some of the lead up news articles, Stokes along with Kris, Derk.Wee James & Sammi were all given as doubtful with injuries.
Joe
Lenny said Stokesy had a calf strain, Commons groin problem, Samaras toe, Forrest seeing specialist and Borrigter ankle
He’s Said today that Commons and Sammy will be fine for Wednesday, he hasn’t mentioned the others yet

A few people have been criticising Forster of late. Perhaps we should make a cheeky wee bid for the ICT ‘keeper… I hear he’s Brill.

Won’t be much good for CL games though
