I drink ice with whisky and indeed whiskey. However, in rome at mo I’m undecided whether to try it with whysky.
Anyhoo is putting ice in whisky any worse than putting a d in sacrilege? ;o)

I blame the invasive “d” on predictive text………and the Balvennie.
Just happen to have been reading an article about Malt whisky for beginners and a big no no was the distorting effect on the taste that ice has.
A few drops of water, to release the “notes” is considered the proper thing to do.
I too drink whiskey and whiskey.
Jameson and whatever single Malt my adoring children bring over to me.

jamesgang, thanks for posting the link I asked for. That is utterly sickening. I’ve worked and lived in in the Netherlands and had no idea that the police force there were fascist bully boys. I posted a few days ago about my own experience of the Belgian police when I lived there Their brutality was a well documented fact and I got that but I never knew the dutch police were such animals. I guess all these low country police all train at the same place.
Miss ACGR is currently studying for her law masters at Lieden University and spends most of her time at the ICC in the Hague. I sincerely hope she gets to see some of these thug bastards put behind bars during her time there.

As a 6 year old, I was, as you say, inspired by greatness, and i cried my wee heart out when i heard that King Kenny was leaving us.
Even if it was to better things (never bigger!) i still was miserable and couldnt understand how he could leave Celtic.
I was lucky enough to have seen him play once in the Hoops and that was enough. My footballing hero then, now and always!
