Technically we’re not preseason anymore, but today’s friendly away to Dynamo Dresden is an important step. There are six weeks before the end of August, with five Champions League qualifier match days in that time.
Tuesday’s gentle introduction to competitive challenges was probably a good place to start for Celtic, this week’s run-out at Murrayfield will allow more of the squad to get some miles under their belt, but you can be sure we will meet our match at some point in the next six weeks. It would be better for all that Dresden expose as many weaknesses as possible (at the time of writing that doesn’t look likely).
As usual, the mantra for these occasions is: no injuries.
Legia Warsaw are on league duty this evening. I hope we have someone watching.

Me?!
Hello?
… and I read the article! :)
Gordon’s handling has been excellent so far.
I like your optimism in saying there will be five more Champions League qualifiers!
Jimbo67 praying to Oscar Knox and for Thomas Worth
Who scored please? Missus had me doing the hoovering… :(
Hail! Hail!
Kayal wrongly given offside
Kriss
Still 1-0 for Celtic.
Referee is a homer
Gordon looking sharp
Celtic wearing black armbands, presumably for Amido Baldie.
Biton shoots over the bar
Ref definitely a homer but it was high wide and no handsome from Biton there.
I think it is for the air plane tragedy or the road traffic accident near Dresden this morning.

Good man Pukki, good tracking back.
Mathews kicks the ball off the line.
TOSB Cheers.
For those who were asking about Rogic, I read an Aussie newspaper article last week which said he’d had surgery on his groin/hip problem and was heading back to Celtic to start his recovery process. Out for 8 weeks if I remember correctly.
He should be back in Glasgow by now. Not ready to give up on him just yet!
Corkcelt
…… But I’m not entirely certain.
Open attacking game…
Quick movement and good chances for both teams
Dresden look sharp…
Ambrose a bit too ambitious there.
Brilliant from Kayal
