Celtic will face Maribor from Slovenia in the Champions League play-off round. Maribor, of course, played a critical part in the death of Rangers, when they eliminated Ally MsCoist’s team from Europe a few months after Craig Whyte took over from Sir David Murray. Having heard the 6-1 aggregate result against Legia, they are already celebrating the draw.
Maribor gave Wigan two hard games in last season’s Europa League, winning their home tie and causing the FA Cup holders more trouble than expected in England. They progressed to the knock out round before going out 4-3 on aggregate to Sevilla – a feat Celtic would not have been capable of. Right now, they should be slight favourites.

We play Dundee United at Celtic Park a week on Saturday in the league. Why would Celtic Park then be out of commission 10 days later?

Yep.
For 6-8 mill. we get a good central defender.
We are just ,I believe , 2 mill. better off with today`s decision.
Any draw would have been tough given our only two competitive performances to date.
LW appeal…..entirely for polish domestic consumption (that’s not a criticism).
If I read the UEFA Regulations correctly there needs to be new evidence or proof of error in the original decision. On the other hand an emergency/urgent appeal can be heard by one person…is Dallas in the building?

Appeal it on what basis? Peter Lawell was the temp that morning doing the admin work for Legia? Uefa wouldn’t dump them out just to turn around and go back on it, rule was broken, decision made, end of.

As a follow up to Embramikes post, we wont be buying anyone until the appeal decision is made, though i cant see them having to redraw both competitions based on seedings etc, but you never know. If appeal is thrown out then we’ll get one in just before, to expect anything more is pure insanity, how many times have we seen this scene?
