    Delaneys,

Read your earlier post about being in the H&B, I was watching on the ipad and following CQN on the phone in the middle of the night, at work now. The difference on here between during the game (most of it) and after was stark. In reality, we gave the ball away very cheaply all over the park. Better teams would have punished us harshly. Paddy Roberts was outstanding while been subjected to sly and dangerous tackling throughout, many would have given up the aimless ball that led to the goal. Efe and Eoghan were excellent in defence outside of a couple of lapses, Craig Gordon done well for us after the early goal. KT will learn a lot from that game, he dived in a couple of times and was caught out. The midfield in the first hour didn’t do enough and Dembele looks like he’ll take time to get to grips with his new surroundings, a couple of goals will lift his confidence.

Overall, a great result on the back of an ordinary performance.

“……..it was an outstanding result for us.

Collectively the mentality was the most pleasing thing.

“I think we were all written off before the game, everyone pretty clear in their opinion of the game, that we would do well to come back with anything other than a loss.

“The players deserve an immense amount of credit for the spirit and passion they showed throughout the game.

“We showed a wonderful mentality to keep fighting and in the second half we restricted them to not so many clear chances and ended up scoring a fantastic goal.”
