BRENDAN RODGERS admitted he was surprised by Pedro Caixinha’s crazy bust-up with Celtic skipper Scott Brown.
The Sevco Rangers boss had a furious face-to-face confrontation with the midfielder as headed for the tunnel at half-time with the game still scoreless.
Caixinha alleged the Hoops star had used an elbow against Alfredo Morelos just before the break.
However, Rodgers said: “I didn’t see it until afterwards, to be honest.
“Obviously, I was surprised when I saw it. At half-time, as a manager, you want to get in as quickly as you can.
“It is a vital period for you. You have to get your message to the players and get them ready for the second-half.
“It’s not something you want to see as a manager.
“You want to get your work done and get your message to your players.”
Rodgers also hailed his onfield leader Brown. The Parkhead gaffer added: “Scott has been absolutely outstanding since I’ve been here.
“He is a big-game player and he has shown that in the seven matches against Rangers, particularly at Ibrox.”
