REJUVENATED winger James Forrest is battling to be fit to face Sevco Rangers on Sunday.
The Celtic ace is a massive doubt after taking a knock in the 2-0 win over Hamilton Accies 10 days ago.
Forrest was scanned by medical staff after a pulverising challenge from Danny Redmond early in the game and has missed the last two matches against Inverness Caley Thistle and St Mirren.With the clock ticking, the Scotland international is now facing a race against time to make the encounter against the Ibrox side at Parkhead.
Brendan Rodgers will not push Forrest for the clash, with on-loan Manchester City star Patrick Roberts available again after injury.
He came off the substitutes’ bench for the out-of-touch Gary Mackay-Steven at half-time on Sunday and spurred the Hoops to a comeback 4-1 victory over St Mirren to set up a Scottish Cup semi-final meeting with the Govan outfit next month.
