CELTIC £2m MISFIT ON THE MOVE

CELTIC misfit Efrain Juarez has joined MLS outfit Vancouver Whitecaps.

The 39-times capped Mexican international midfielder has agreed a deal that will see him quit Monterrey.

Neil Lennon paid £2million for Juarez to take him from his local side Pumas in July 2010.

However, the player made only 20 appearances for the Hoops, scoring two goals, before being loaned to La Liga Real Zaragoza a year later.

Juarez left Parkhead for a cut-rice fee of around £250,000 for Mexican top-flight team America in 2012.

He said last night: “I’m so happy and excited for this new stage in my career.

“It’s an opportunity for me to keep growing in a new league and to be a part of an amazing club in Vancouver.

“From the moment they showed interest me, Carl Robinson and the Whitecaps staff have made me feel very important.

“I promise to put all my effort into this club and do my best to help us achieve our goals.”
