CELTIC EYE CONGO STAR

CELTIC have been linked with a deadline-beating swoop for DR Congo left-back Fabrice N’Sakala.
The 25-year-old international defender is poised to quit Anderlecht before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
Hoops boss Ronny Deila has just landed Manchester United centre-half Tyler Blackett on a season-long loan.
The England Under-21 star could be seen as an instant replacement for in-demand Virgil van Dijk.
But the Norwegian gaffer is still desperately seeking a long-term solution to his left-back problem position.
N’Sakala, born in France, is now on the radar and is almost certain to quit the Belgian giants only two years after joining them from Troyes for a cut-price £300,000.
Anderlecht, though, are insisting they want something in the region of £1.5million for the former French Youth player.
Deila axed Emilio Izaguirre from the line-up against Malmo on Tuesday with Charlie Mulgrew taking his place, although in retrospect that didn’t seem to be a successful move.
However, the Scottish international’s lack of pace was exposed by the Swedes in their 2-0 win to send the Parkhead side tumbling out of the Champions League.
Deila believed he was about to bolster the defence with a move for Willem II’s Mitchell Dijks, but he rejoined Ajax and is in line to face the Hoops in the Europa League.
N’Sakala, who still has three years to run on his Anderlecht contract, looks to be in pole position as Deila scours Europe for a new left-sided defender.
