CELTIC INJURY BLOW AS PADDY ROBERTS DOES HIS HAMSTRING

1

PADDY ROBERTS was substituted at Celtic Park this afternoon after pulling up in the 30th minute of the match against Kilmarnock.
The visitors had been sitting very deep with everyone behind the ball as the much changed Celtic side from the one that purred at Aberdeen on Wednesday, struggled to create anything clear cut.
At the other end Craig Gordon seldom was troubled other than through a few pass backs.
However the loss of Roberts, who knew straight away that something had gone, walked towards the Celtic bench and stood looking distressed for a minute or so until play stopped and the substitution could be made.
Scotty Sinclair came off the bench but it was a change Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers could have done without as it almost certainly rules Paddy out of the huge Champions League showdown on Tuesday night under the lights at Celtic Park.
Roberts showed his frustration as he kicked away a ball and put his head in his hands. It is a massive blow to Roberts personally and also to Celtic.

Just before the interval a superb through ball from Kouassi from the half way line to Leigh Griffiths, who had peeled off cleverly and he put the ball through the Killie keeper’s legs to give Celtic a well deserved half time lead.
