CELTIC LINKED WITH TURKISH DEFENDER

CELTIC have been linked with Fenerbahce’s £1million-rated defender Hasan Ali Kaldirim.
The versatile German-born Turkish international will be out of contract at the end of the season and is free to talk to interested clubs this month.
Club president Aziz Yildirim has told the 27-year-old full-back he will have to wait until the end of the campaign before being offered a new contract by the Turkish giants.
Former Ibrox boss Dick Advocaat doesn’t want to lose the player who can also operate on the left side of the midfield, but the stubborn stance of his club’s supremo has opened the door for the Hoops and other admirers.
Kaldirim cost £3.2million when he joined Fenerbahce from Kayserispor in July 2012.
He kicked off his career at Bundesliga outfit Kaiserslautern in 2008 before moving to FSV Mainz a year later.
The attacking defender first came on the Hoops’ radar in October 2015 when he played in the Europa League tie at Parkhead when the Turks came back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 draw.
Kaldirim also played in the 1-1 draw in Istanbul two months later.
The Scottish champions could also make a move to sign the 18-times capped star on a pre-contract arrangement.
