CELTIC PLAY-OFF TIE No.3 FOR CZECH REF

1

EXPERIENCED Czech referee Pavel Kralovec will be in charge of Celtic’s Champions League play-off against Astana in Kazakhstan tomorrow.

Coincidentally, the whistler has already been the match official in two of the Hoops’ previous such crucial away encounters against Shakhtar Karagandy and Maribor in recent seasons.

Kralovec is one of UEFA’s top men and was given control over three Champions League group stage matches in each of the last two campaigns.

Brendan Rodgers and his players flew out yesterday and, despite a five-hour time difference, will remain on UK time throughout their stay.

The game will kick off at 4.30pm UK time and Rodgers’ squad will be back in Glasgow in the early hours of Wednesday.

They take on St Johnstone at Parkhead on Saturday with a 3pm kick-off.
