CELTIC are standing by for a massive cash windfall if Chelsea follow up their interest in Moussa Dembele now their transfer ban has been lifted.

The former Hoops hitman has netted 10 goals in 22 games for Lyon this season following his £19.8million switch from the champions in the summer of 2018.

He was recently linked with a move to Manchester United as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prepares to strengthen his firepower at Old Trafford.

Now, though, according to a report in the Daily Mail, Stamford Bridge boss Frank Lampard has had the powerhouse attack=leader watched by scouts.

The London side’s gaffer is keen to strengthen his frontline to support Tammy Abraham while former Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud has been linked with a move away in the January transfer window.

The Parkhead side’s hierarchy insisted in a sell-on clause in Dembele’s contract when he returned to France.

The Swiss-based Court of Arbitration recently overturned Chelsea’s transfer ban meaning they can sign players next month.

Dembele appears to be a priority target for Lampard who would be eager to bring in a Dider Drogba-type player to the club.
