Dubaibhoy-Ur they still deid? on
Fantastic result yesterday and delighted with the treble but all that tippytappying around at the back is going to get us done over one day – and almost did twice yesterday.
Some day yesterday . A dozen stories within an amazing day when Celtic won a treble.
They involve sourcing tickets , health of loved ones , taxis ,boundary charges , sharing drinks and laughter prior to the game . Hampden , police being sheer awkward just for the sake of it . 5 minutes with my son in the Celtic end .The game .Tension ,anger ,worry ,then an explosion of relief and an outpouring of joy. Drying tears.
Cuddles with the only 2 folk from CQN I met all day , (2 of the best & soon to be married) , who still had visible tears.
A delayed bus journey , a missing oldest guy on the bus , panic ,phone calls ,text messages ,quiet bus going back down the motorway . Then relief that all was well .
Pub . Singsong . Happiness and laughter with my best pals . Home to watch it again .
Sorry to inform you all but a good friend and a great Celtic supporter passed away this morning: Jim Tollan. Rest in peace, Jim. God bless you and your grieving family.
I finally caught up with the doc on Sean Fallon ” The Iron Man”, last night.
I had no idea of the outstanding work Sean had carried out for his beloved Celtic, probably cos most of us put it all down to Jock ?
I dunno, I know I certainly did.
The story of how he got the damaged eye was just brilliant, as like the story of how he sorted out the Hun Sammy Baird with one crunching, bone rattling tackle, which led to Sean also being injured, and when only sean ROSE TO HIS FEET…The Jungle went MENTAL !
Please pass on my birthday wishes to your sister, Lesley and tell her to enjoy the game today

MOTM for me yesterday – wee McGregor.
Asked to play out of position for most of the game and constantly targeted by Aberdeen – doubled up on him at times with bigger physical presences. But he stood up to it all and played, played, played. As relentless as the rest of his teammates.
Yeah, his mistake that led to their big chance; partially Broony’s fault for putting him under P with a poor ball wide. But his last-ditch recovery five minutes later to block a goalbound shot was worthy of KT and made up for his error.
Wouldn’t even have the bhoy in my first-choice eleven but how many time this season has he proved I know the square root of Sevco’s title chances.
Thought Bobby Madhun did his DOB loyal best to stretch the rules of football to within a forearm smash of UFC regulation. Was like watching an 80s match –
Stockley’s bludgeoning of KT was a deliberate act. Something akin to the amateur and Sunday League ‘contests’ I was party to in the Ayrshire villages back in the 90s. I’ve dished it out – in the name of protection when you’re wearing a green and white augmented strip in some of those Hun hellholes – and taken it; missed us pumping Deidco 3-0 in the final home game of our Hampden season because I was sat in A&E like a pioneering Joe Garner awaiting four stictches in an eyebrow wound casue by a ‘loose’ elbow.
Stockley’s movement is a practised art; big brawny psychopath tensing all upper body muscles in a swivel designed for maximum shuddering contact with direct opponent. And yet our ‘neutral’ officials pretend bewilderment and innocence. Do these clowns actually watch football? Oh, yes, of course – they’re just honest mistakes…
Edge of legality aside, Aberdeen gave us the best contest of any Scottish team this season – kudos to them for their determination to press high as long as they could and run themselves into the ground to upset any rhythm we tried to establish.
But this Celtic team have defined their season by being relentless. Playing til the end, defined beautifully by the way we won it. Testament to the raised fitness levels (Ahem, Mr.Deila…) and moreso to the mental improvements under BR, CD and team – we have a fantastic professionalism in application and focus which has allowed the squad to both pick themselves up from heavy defeats – re Barca – and also steamroll opponents by maintaining momentum.
What a season, what a week – to top Lisbon celebrations off by coming behind from an early goal to win the cup and seal the treble; such echoes of the Lions we will not see again.
Walker on Sky said the challenge on KT was an accident and he would be OK.
McCann and McLeish said it was an accident.
Kris Commons, sitting in between those two, says it’s definitely a card.

Interestingly Stubbs, Miller and Stewart all agreed pre match that the Celtic players probably aren’t fitter than last season, they just believe they are fitter. I’d agree with that, one thing Ronny appeared to be big on was training and health. Though it shows how a manager like Rodgers can get inside player’s heads.
If it had an been accident Stockley would surely have shown some concern for KT, and any half decent pro would have apologised when he saw the player on the ground.
Instead he disappeared for the rest of the game.
His inclusion at the expense of their top goalscorer cost Aberdeen in the end, it was deliberate move to play a ‘lump of wood’ that ultimately failed to help their cause.
It was another Karmic moment to see the man with the plan Wee Shay Logan sitting on the ground shaking his head and greeting’ at the end.
Nae luck son at least you can take comfort in the fact that you were shite in the whole game:))
Look forward to your Twitter response to your poor poor performance in the Cup Final..

The Stockley tactic worked perfectly. He got away with it, we lost one of our stars, and our team shape and performance suffered. It gave Aberdeen a chance in the game.

It’s happening again! I’m losing hours of my life to watching ANOTHER Tom Rogic goal over and over and over…
And I love it.
Great win to top a great season and it doesn’t stop north of the border. Here’s another result from yesterday afternoon:
TWR Shipowners Charity Cup – Final
Richmond Town FC 2 4 Cleator Moor Celtic FC
BSR – It was a surprising tactic from Deek.
Clearly the Randy Don felt his best bet for victory was rummelin’ up the Celts from the go.
Stockley has previous and it was telling that the aforesaid mentioned lump o’ wood did not even attempt an apology after he done KT.
