My bank holiday Monday will consist of taking Miss GFTB to school (walking when I am at work she gets lifted and laid) then since I am off she is a “homer” so again walking to the school and back around 12.30pm then she asked since am “off” can I pick her up at 3pm….. No rest for the wicked !

BigShuggy if you are lurking will probably bump into you around 9am or 3pm…..

Hope you are enjoying the season so far

    Beatbhoy….

I had read back the other night and laughed out loud about your posts

Anybody got tickets for Barca…tickets for Man C…tickets for Mounchengaldbach…..

Tickets for 10/09/16…. You can keep them

I listened to McInnes’s comments on shortbread yesterday and he seems to be feeling the pressure. Despite having probably the second best squad in Scotland he has them off to a very poor league start and out of Europe having lost to a Maltese team (without the press hullabaloo we had). His managerial limitations are evident, look at the tactical genius of setting up to start defensively yesterday against a team just back from Israel. Willie Miller didn’t offer him any support for the “we went toe to toe with Celtic” nonsense, suggesting the sheep’s hierarchy are losing patience. Hearts for second place I would guess.

Watching Man City won’t be sore on the eyes, going by their display so far against West Ham, who have been poor, right enough.

Sure there will be some who don’t want to watch a bloated EPL team at Paradise, so I’m optimistic about that one.

Then there is the borefest v Barça, yawn, no that Messi &co again!

Glad to relieve anyone of such trials!

  5. Not too pleased with BR defensive targets. Wisdom is athletic but doesn’t look comfy on the ball. The goalie is decent at passing the ball but doesnt look commanding. McCarthy please for midfield.

Young Kieran Tierney done a wee interview the other night (ssb) better get my apologies in first, his words were along the lines “I was a ball bhoy the last time we played them, canny wait”

By the way young Kieran goes with a wee lassie from Coatbridge lets just say there is a bus or two from that mob heading to Manchester for the City game, and if any screens break they will probably just give one or two renditions of Grace or other wee love songs :-)

  7. Hearts supporters (jambos kickback) seem to think we’re going to be bidding for Patetson this week. Possible player plus cash, they’re speculating who they want/need from our fringe players

Bitton was invisible for most of the game yesterday, when he did manage to make an appearance it was to either give the ball away or commit a foul. As soon as he left the field yesterday Celtic were able to play a more expansive, free-flowing game. Aside from the odd wonder goal I really don’t know what he brings to the team.

  9. Stairheed..

Aberdeen will be there….they need to avoid injuries to their forwatds but …..so do most teams…they wont be far away…IMO

Forgot that was on mhate just watching McManamon ‘s interview , Up the Dubs !

  11. GFTB

As long as they bad Chelsea supporters who caused aw the bother when the deid club was in town for their final don’t turn up, eh?

  12. Thought yesterday was a right good day at the football!

Given the week the players had had I thought they showed a really positive attitude and their fitness levels seem to be up on last season.

Those being critical of Bitton should remember that he is being asked to play a different role from the one he played in Isreal. He was an attacking midfielder who we have tried to turn in to a holding player. For me he lacks the pace and strength to play the holding role effectively against decent teams and we will be playing more than decent teams in the CL.

I hope that we sign at least one proper defensive midfielder before the deadline. If we don’t then e CL will be scary!

I have been saying for two years now that he is the root of a lot of our problems.

Poor positional sense.cant tackle and shirker of responsibility.

He was the main reason for our turgid style.

Last season i wondered if my criticism was harsh so against Ross ct i took his stats and of 9 forward passes only two went to Celtic players. The other 14 passes went sidewards or back. This was in a first half were we struggled.

I see no positives in his play

  14. SB and NB have played well together.

From memory a run of game in the 2014 EL games?

SB provided the energy, the movement.

NB provided the interceptions and rather defensive cover.

However after that they seemed to merge into one player, one attitude.

It was telling how many boos their side to side passing generated.

They seemed to want the other to make the move, make the forward pass.

Keeping possession is great when that is what is needed.

Moving the ball from side to side to offer alternative angles to the forward players.

Unfortunately we are playing it side to side in the MF with little effort to move it forward.

There apwere issues with the front four.

JF was not offering much yesterday — little support from ML.

LG does not work hard enough — not many runs and if he does move he is more often than not offside and the pass is not made.

ScS seemed to be torn between the outside or coming inside to get the ball.

TR had moments where he seemed to be skipping his way from the ball.

However in his defence he does not t the ball from SB and it took NB 10 minutes to work out he was on the pitch.

One worrying thing in the 2nd half was the change to the Sheep.

They pressed higher up the park and put pressure on the ball carrier at the start of moves.

We did not look pretty for a while as we retreated closer to the 18 yard line which then got DdV involved and his distribution looked very suspect at times.

    Good game.

    Great result.

    Poor performance at times.

  15. An article on The Herald’s website about arrests on Friday evening related to sectarian singing has now been removed.

This is the newspaper that made an unsolicited approach to CQN to carry the Res12 advertisement earlier this year then informed us that ‘the powers that be’ had decided against carrying the ad despite not having seen the content.

They must have had their knuckles rapped for previously carry the new club/ no Old Firm ad before the league cup semi final on 1st February 2015.

The same paper who leaked my personal details to the evil bigot banned from Twitter on Friday after Paul reckoned enough was enough.

His pal who posts on here and elsewhere trying to derail Res12 should know of the reception he’ll receive if he has the brass neck to re-emerge.

His career as Phil would say must be on another level.

That banned bigot started all the rubbish about us supplying the Tribune de Geneve will the advert in English rather than French.

Obviously the influence over the Herald’s publishing decisions never extended to Switzerland so he attempted to discredit CQN.

Then the Guardian controversy and some of us, myself included, were surprised at their influence within a liberal, free thinking newspaper. Boy did they hang old Roy out to dry.

Well we got ten times the publicity and the Tribune had already done the job – Regan spoke and the chaps at UEFA knew we were serious.

The banned bigot tweeted over 150 times in one day trying to discredit CQN to deflect from the message.

    Can I tell you something?

All is not well between the SFA and the new club. The former have as they see it “for the good of the game” bent over backwards to accommodate the club founded from the ashes in 2012. And they were prepared to take so much heat on their behalf.

Some people are never grateful and eventually it becomes a case of every man for themselves. Troubling times ahead for those who expect favours.

CQN got the money back from the Guardian after a struggle. We told you this and that money together will lots more sits in Paul’s PayPal account.

Next week we will use that to fund the latest solicitor’s bill regarding Res12. We said on here that we would do that and no one complained. The bill arrived on Friday and it tells you one thing – that matters are progressing.

Last week a poster on here was outed as an associate of the bigot who was banned on Friday by Twitter.

Apparently he is concerned that Paul cannot account for the money and this led him to complain to the vilest of bigots on the Internet. It may have been a chat in the same office, we’ll never know.

This money has sat there for two reasons.

    1. To see the Res12 legal commitments met. Already this has established that at the most senior level UEFA regard them as a new club.

    2. To fund any further initiative that we decide to undertake – and I have some thoughts on that for our next home game.

Then all remaining funds – subject to any requests for refunds ( so far that stands at £0.00) will go to fund another school kitchen via Mary’s Meals.

CRC will meet Paul shortly to audit all of this as we stated at the start and will report back independently.

The latest myth is that the leaked letter- and it wasn’t leaked by us – is a fake.

They fear Res12 more than anything. I don’t think any of us fully appreciated how significant this process is in uncovering the deep rooted issues in the Scottish game.

I laugh when I think of BRTH as a CelticPLC plant to derail the process and protect the established order.

They can threaten, defame and intimidate away. All they have achieved is to strenghten our resolve.

I’ve avoided the two previous Sevco matches – never even watched the last one. Looking forward to the next one.

    Could be fun and games.

  18. WINNING CAPTAINS

Have disagreed with you a few times on here but wanted to express gratitude for the courage and effort you have shown on the res 12 issue.

Considering the vitriol and violence the hordes have shown to any perceived flight you have been resolute and fearless.

  19. Just spent an hour or two listening to the likes of Josef Locke and the Dubliners. Could I suggest that the GB sing the likes of Grace and Athenry and the Wild Rover? A lot more Celtic , imo, “Sean South” (who remembered that?) and Up the RA.

  20. Man City looked unbelievably good in the first half. But, like us, the second half has seen that the opposition can always get a chance. And unless you are already out of sight it can lead to a tense finish.

City continue to make chances but not putting them away.

    It’s a funny old game.

  21. WC great work you an all res 12 guys do, sorry to hear your details got leaked, hope all stay safe. Respect.HH

  22. Fanatic@4.15

‘He also refuses to take responsibility and constantly returns ball to team mates under pressure.’

During the 1st half yesterday, i began to get a little impatient with what i was seeing and as my frustration grew, I actually shouted out loud ‘Come on somebody take responsibility’ because i felt that Brown, Bitton and a few others were taking the safe/easy option and were constantly laying it back to Toure and Sviatchenko instead of being positive.

I felt they were perhaps taking the easy option/passing the buck and were giving Aberdeen a bit too much respect.

They are a tough side and every one of them is competitive but our men must be able to handle that and be brave enough to take the game to whoever we face……especially the men that are the beating heart in the midfield.

Is it allowable for you to give the nom-de-blog of the person who was banned from Twitter (and presumably from CQN)

Thank you for info in your post. Speaking for myself I neither need nor want any accounting for my little contributions to the cause. Total trust and respect to all you ghuys. If there is any need for further funds please just put the call out. As you say, they are panicking over the real matters in Res 12 and offered up the new club stuff as a sop.

If it was the guy who I think it was, like a few more, I thought he was a wrong-un from the start as his first reply to me showed a lot about his motive.

Every best wish to all involved with Res 12. HH

I’d like to echo what posters have been saying since your post, especially the wish that you all stay safe.
