It goes back to last season as well. I thought he was brutally exposed in Europe especially against Malmo and Molde. Also stood so far off Barrie MacKay in the first half at Hampden it was hard to believe. He did the same against HBS and at the weekend. Not a witch hunt here but change is long overdue.
I doubt very much if Michael Lustig was the only player that night in Isreal to have picked a time for having a poor performance in a Celtic jersey IMO.

No, Mikel was not the only one to have a poorish game in Israel but he is certainly not the Mikel of old. He seemed uncertain quite often on Saturday . As a result, quite a few of his passes were hit without authority and intercepted as a consequence.

Ultimately nobody apart from the poster himself knows the real intention behind the post. Personally I would give him the benefit of the doubt that there was nothing sinister intended.
But can you imagine the reaction on here if it was Mats or someone of similar irk.

Good Morning Bhoys it is a lovely morning here in Central Scotland.Well we have 3 days to further improve the team then the door closes until January. I think Lustig is a fine player but I do not think he is 100% fit so a right back may well come in also a quality midfielder would improve us a lot if we could get those two positions sorted out by the close of the transfer window I believe we will have done well.I also think we must take the tribute act seriously for me they are not a great team but they will be hyped up for there visit to Parkhead and shock results happen if we can beat them handsomely I dont think they will recover to challenge us.H.H.

I agree with TD67 – I prefer to hear it sung as a slow, lilting ballad – much nicer in my opinion, and echoes the sentiment of the lyrics.
Feel the same about Fields of Athenry – don’t like hearing the add-ons, or seeing drunk folk at parties dancing round the handbags to it. Sing it slow, sing it sad, and in keeping with the mood of the lyrics.
I’m just a grumpy sentimentalist :-)

If it’s Matts NILLOC your talking about, it was only last week he asked if he could be invited to the hootenanny (when ever it is?) and he was more or less told not to bother coming.
The guys card is marked on here because his opinions differ from others, that’s the way it is in here, I’v called a couple of people Huns in here, are they? Where they? I honestley haven’t a clue
But many in here seem to have no doubt the Matts NILLOC is, and is he again I don’t know, but he does post within the COC more than I can say for his accusers IMO.

Gerry, when I was growing up, the most used pitches in Drumchapel , were at Dalsetter. There ,were 6 gravel pitches and one grass pitch.
The gravel pitches were fully booked , we are talking about 40 years + ago, from 9 o’clock on a saturday morning to about 3 o’clock and the same on a Sunday.
The grass pitch was hardly used due to the cost of using it. I ‘m assuming the old Glasgow Corporation parks department didn’t want it used much in case they had to maintain it properly.
In saying that , there will probably be some posters here who played on gravel pitches might say their ball contol , first touch and toughening up was due to gravel or black ash pitches .

Gowing up in the Drum, I have a few fond (and no so fond) memories of Dalsetter on a Saturday morning.
The other element of good ball control (especially trapping) was a fecking mouldmaster on a cold and frosty morning! learn to bring it down properly before it impacted on any bare flesh! Hurt like a bitch when it hit!

My friends in Celtic,
Saturday was a great day. I thought after our physical and psychological exertions in Israel we would struggle. I predicted a 2-2 draw. ( What do I know ).
We look physically and mentally stronger this season. What a job BR and his team have done in such a short period.
The thunder is back.
And of course the weather played its part. What a difference to go to the game without mad jackets.
Hail, Hail.
PS : Not too keen on the plastic glasses in Brendan’s, but cest la vie.

Oh I agree, I’m of the opinion he’s another player playing with an injury and has been for a while?
But to single him out on the night in Isreal was a bit unfare IMO.
Must’ve missed this when it got posted,Phil suggesting a £100m turnover is a possibility.
