  1. Saint Stivs,

Did you recognise the wee red haired chap who scored the 2nd goal for Thistle?

    Brilliant.

i thought warburton looked a bit like russ abbot….he was a good comedy act in his day too…..

  3. Saint Stivs,

Ah think the 40 year thing means it will be no more than 40 years ago.

Think he’s about the same age as me..52 whisper whisper.

  4. Just a general observation, watching match of the day.

While there appears to be a neccesity to wear one to be a guest on TV just now, any many football clubs are wearing them, any clip to the crowd shows hardly any spectator wearing one.

  5. Hello again all you young rebels.

Rod Stewart my auld time favourite, remember seeing him way

back in the day with the long John Baldry band and thinking only

a Celtic supporter could have a voice like that, Paddymacoz has

his man cave adorned with him sitting having a drink with Rod

when he visited the Melbourne No 1 club a few years back, i was

so jealous, with a bit of luck he might visit our new club down

the peninsula some day, Paddy won’t get near him for me , my

princess and the wee mhan lol.

    GG,

If you’re looking in someone ( forget which poster) asked if you could not post the world series score as they intend to record it and watch when they wake tomorrow after they catch up on the blog. Basically they read the night shift posts then watch the baseball and your posts have spoiled it for them. Just passing on the message. Hail Hail

  8. Hunderbirds are Gone on

Can’t sleep. Looking at today’s goals. All three goals at Easter Road scored by Hibees. Just a pity the second was for the stickies, but alls well that ends well, and hopefully this first league defeat for the Govan Galacticos will lead to a cascade and be followed by many more.

Great passing for Southampton’s first goal, and the second by Pelle, showed what a player with that type of physique, can bring to a team. Hopefully Carlton Cole can enjoy the best form of his slightly underwhelming career to date with us in the months and years ahead.

A goal fest in the Everton v Sunderland game with some great goals. Everton can be an entertaining team when on song. Sunderland would ship fewer goals if they abandoned their Marie Celeste defensive system. Honestly looked like they were set up one-seven-two at times.

A satisfying week for Celtic, establishing a solid lead in the league, after surviving a potential cup graveyard at Tynecastle midweek. I have only visited Tynecastle twice (in the eighties) and hated it. The ground was very different then, but the hostility and bile from their followers seems the same, and the players did well to get out of that pit with a victory.

So we look forward to Thursday in good fettle, and can hopefully play to our potential, rather than suffer our Euro freeze. If we do play as we can, I think we have more than enough to see Molde off, and hopefully by a few goals to nail the head to head against them. If we do I think a win against Ajax in the penultimate game will be enough to see us through. The crowd can and will play a big part. So shout the roof off and let’s stick it to the SMSM. Hail Hail ⚽️

  9. Hunderbirds are Gone on

………..Or Molde could pump us and that will be that. Forewarned is forearmed. Just sayin like.

  10. Sack the Tory Celtic Board

Or, take the easy way oot and….be taken-in by them.

Over to you paying Celtic fans…….

    Old Jungle war-songs……

“lets all laugh at Maggie Ha ha ha, ha ha ha!”

The board are scared to build a new Jungle coz…..they know that it ill become a breeding ground for rebellious Celtic supporters who dont kowtow.

Neil Lennon….a Celtic-LEGEND who brought the hun-establishment to it’s knees before, the Celtic board melted and pulled his teeth….ensuring that the next generation of Celtic supporters would be lucky to even get on the bus to take up their seats at the back.

Neil Francis Lennon…your cojones are sorely missed at Celtic Park.

I’ve said that Jim McIntyre is the leader of the future and, to watch this space….

But, even though he is a cantankerous rebel….the kowtowing board would pull his teeth as well.

BlantyreTim – Hope ye enjoyed yer day – Hail Hail Amigo.

    GFTB – Stay strong fella.

    Celtic Supporters – YNWA.

    Bye.

  11. Good morning friends.

Dawn just breaking (as I peek) over East Kilbride to reveal a clear skied, dry and calm start to the European working week.

Still basking however in the warmth of the weekend’s match.

Some great Tic fitba on display esp in the 2nd half.

Well, that was the weekend that was ….. Good results and the meeja reeling from the Ronny Roar …….we need more of this resistance to the meeja shoite …… Now, where are you BDO / HMRC, come out, come out wherever you are…….

AND………we need to support EFE back to full confidence ….. the meeja campaign to destroy his confidence is wiinning at the moment, and we need to resist this also ……. They always have Celticplayer ‘target’ and, at the moment, it’s EFE ….

” slightly underwhelming career to ”

Can the career of a professional footballer who has received seven caps for a strong footballing nation really be called `undewhelming`? If so, what does a player have to do to` whelm`?

Going into the ground on Saturday, I had a laugh with some Aberdeen fans.Good guys. At the game, they gave their team very good support and the vast majority stayed right to the end. Pity, therefore, that they spoil things somewhat with their Jimmy Savile song and one other with references to paedophilia . Those songs, however, did greatly increase my desire to beat their team. Incidentally, in spite of the solidity of the victory, I thought Aberdeen were comfortably the best of the teams to visit Celtic Park in the League.

  17. Ok it was 9 days for the pedantic polis but the old a week is a long time in fitba line was quite apt for Ronny.

What a turnaround he has performed since that Norwegian nightmare.

    Brilliant.
