Graig Gordon – responsible for both goals – drop him, Lustig .completley exposed no cover.. also can’t play 2 games a week – sell him
KT – good prospect. No more. Don’t overplay him
Simunovic – looks a decent player
Boyata – a coward. Should have tried to head ball away at first goal. if he didn’t reach it it would have been dangerous play.
Rogic – a decent prospect – not played enough fgames. neeeds to toughen up.
SA – needs to get his act together
Jamesie – sowing a bit better now fit but has to stop cutting inside . Get to bye line roll ball into space. up to others to get there
McGregor. – a good 5 aside player. But does score a lot of goals mainly defections. maybe better being lucky than good
LG . Appaling last night. I wanted him off after 60 mins before he missed sitters. He was off form and legs were dead before then. How crap are Celtic to have no one else to replace him. Speovic should have been kept rather than wasting money on Cifti and blackballing Stokes
GMS – What has happened to the care free winger we bought?
Blantyretim, according to a tweet on celtic underground, a bhoy got lifted at Bell Grove for singing while that ajax crew were causing havoc and injury in the Gallowgate. That’s twice they have caused bother here, and no record of any of them being lifted.

Thanks, I have been a long time in the Ronny camp, his ideas and methodology are sound. We as a Club need to be doing things a little different, we don’t have the budget of Top Clubs of similar stature.
But if you can’t get performances and results on the pitch all the talk and theorising becomes bluster.
Hope we don’t throw out the baby with the bath water, the development squad, youths and several first team players are benefitting from what we’re doing.
But Football is a results business and if you don’t always get a result at least you can often be satisfied with the commitment and performance. At present we have none if that.

You cant always get what you want – but you can ask
1) We should be talking to David Moyes now If we can agree a deal and Moyes is brave enough to establish that he has control of football matters over PL particularly who we buy (I’m not suggesting we break the bank) then we should aim to get him now giving him January to bring in one or two and get rid of one or two in preparation for July August CL qualifiers
2) If Moyes cant be done – then option two is Michael O’Neill from Northern Ireland The issue and risk with Michael is we cannot get him until after the Euros (about 2 weeks before the CL qualifiers)
I would hope Celtic are working on a plan – maybe not the 2 options I have suggested (what do I know) but doing nothing and staying with the same people has no sign of improving – in fact its getting worse
Ronny thank you I wish you no ill feeling I respect you as a man but to manage a football club takes a lot of things and you don’t have them all – unfortunately we need to change

Thought Sutton was being hypocritical, criticising Mulgrew.
After all, he got himself sent off deliberately against the Dead Club.
I’ve seen us play worse – after all Ajax are leading a Dutch league comfortably where PSV have had the better of Man U in both games.
Their players did look bigger and faster, though. Why do we seem only to bring through small guys ?
And if Griffiths had passed instead of shooting a couple of times, we would have scored.
Still, I’ve been a Ronnie backer but he’ll have to go now.

The Boards performance.
I have no idea.
I haven`t attended their meetings.
I haven`t read the minutes of Board meetings.
I am not prepared to base my opinion on the talk of the C.Q.N. steamie.

What is your experience of running a multi million pound organisation?
Your mates in the Celtic Trust.? Experience?
I watch football.
I have been doing so for a looooong time.
I have an opinion about football.

We played not to badly last night and if Griffiths had been on form I would go as far as to say we would have won. Scott Allan can spot a pass but looks to lack pace Boyata has the heart of a mouse and Mulgrew injured or not deserves a good kick in the Haw Maws. In both Ajax goals we were in possession of the ball and gave it away cheaply and they broke away and scored.All you Bhoys who are wanting a new manager are wasting your time Ronny will continue to given time. The problem with the whole sack RD thing is I haven’t seen one decent and realistic alternative suggested. Just a lot of bumping gums about picking someone with a proven track record off the merry manager’s tree. Anyone who thinks Moyes would come is deluded.
Question did Griffiths just have an off day or he is able to play as this level? One on one with the last defender he doesn’t appear to have the confidence or speed to take him on.
Totally jumping the gun I know, given his limited number of appearances, but we spent a decent slice of wedge on Simunovic and he looks a decent player…hmmm…maybe these is something in that….

I know, I’ve heard the drums.
But, no matter what they say, we need a new Manager. Well ideally you go back to the original plan and have an experienced Manager with Ronny as the number two, but life doesn’t work like that.
My feelings is there is too much going wrong.

Etc, etc…
Now it’s true, we get some restbite by “concentrating” on the Scottish treble for the rest of the Season.
But seriously, do you think PL & Co are going to go into a UCL qualifying Campaign in early July with this Coaching set up? I seriously doubt it.
We need another rebuild, is Ronny going to get the money for that in January? I seriously doubt it.
Are they going to let him rebuild in the Summer while running the UCL campaign? Yes I seriously doubt that too, wasn’t so great this time around.
It’s true, They do say no change of Manager but theses are pragmatic men with little choice IMO.

Just an off night for LG I think. He was getting good opportunities but sclaffed a couple. His head went down , like he knew it wasn’t going to happen for him
KJAM. I have no doubt Moyes would come but why we would want him I dont know ? his managerial career hasnt been great (sacked from his last two jobs ).However,we have a manager and there is no vacancy Ronny is the man and will be given at the very minimum until the end of the season. H.H.

Unfortunately if we get rid of Ronny that’s exactly what we’d be doing.
The job he is trying to do is a long-term one. The young players seem to be buying into it. But we can’t throw a whole lot in at once. That’s why we are having to buy in the likes of SA, GMS, SA and RC.
Simunovic looks like he could be the real deal. We need to decide if Boyata is going to be good enough. If not get someone in in January.
There is absolutely no point in people coming on here howling for the manager’s blood.
He, as his successor will be, was appointed to nod his head and do his bid.
If the grinders arm is broken, don’t hit the monkey.
I think Carlton Cole probably was a Ronny signing. He has asked for experienced players to complement the youth since his arrival. In a year and a half Cole is the only experienced player we have signed. His system in Norway worked because it was a blend of solid older pros and youth. In our group of older pros we have 2 real leaders, Brown and Commons, a goalie (a good one at that though he has his faults), Izzy (exciting but erratic) and 2 injury prone players who are going backwards in Lustig and Mulgrew. We need more experience and leaders.
There are younger players who are entering there mid-twenties who have taken on responsibility, Griffiths and Johansen, but they are no world beaters. Forrest has finally learnt to take responsibility to take the game to the opposition and defend. There are good signs there.
I think the backline of Lustig, Boyata, Jozo and Tierney are beginning to look good. They need several months playing together to really gel. I think Janko will eventually replace the ever diminishing Lustig once he is fit.
What has struck me is that the players who have come through the Celtic ranks look much better at this level than many of the other players we have brought from ‘wee teams’. They seem more prepared for the speed of the game at that level and this must be the fruits of Celtic’s participation in European level youth tournaments and an ingrained winning mentality. Forrest, McGregor and Tierney have shown more than Armstrong, GMS etc.
This winning mentality is key. Jozo has it (Zagreb demand it as well), Boyata has it (he is improving all the time), Johansen has it (Norwegian champion and cup winner), Lustig has it (Rosenborg), Griffiths,Commons, Brown, Izzy and Mulgrew have it.
I don’t think Bitton has it (yet, could come), nor Rogic (same as Bitton. Early days and needs a full season under his belt) but I just don’t see it in Armstrong, GMS and the others.
I’d play the young Celts and let the football payer shine. We have nothing to lose.

RD want’s to play a tried and tested system, he won’t change, and quite rightly so, it works if you have the players who are capable, we don’t, and why should he adapt to suit those who are not backing him.
He has told them what kinda players he want’s and they give him players who are not going to fit his system.
There was lots of players brought in under Lenny, players who never got a sniff of first team football, IF he had signed them, you would like to think he would have played them, no.
John Park scouts them, Pedro signs them up, they are given to the coach to coach, end of.

You make a good point about both Ajax goals coming about as a result of Celtic losing possession. We are rarely punished for this in the SPFL. And that is our problem.
KEVJUNGLE. We are still on for a Domestic treble how many Celtic managers have achieved that ? I still say this is a season of transition after losing our two centre backs from last season injuries have not allowed us to have a settled back four and when we do that will make a difference. We new when we got Ronny he was a young manager and would need time so this is no time to panic and get rid of him. H.H.

He had many millions at Everton, kept them in the EPL, anyone with half a football brain could have given the money he had to spend, this is a coach who spent £30M on Feleni FFS, a spectacular failure in Spain.
Prob the dullest football I have ever seen has been with Moyes at the helm.

If we keep selling our best players then every season is a transition season. Who’s to say Jozo & Nir won’t go in the summer?
The continuity is not there, other than those who are not good enough and we can’t get rid of, and we are not trying to build a team for 3-5 seasons but are trying to find players we can sell at a huge profit.
The ‘strategy’ worked well when we had a core of good players and could sell one two each summer. But continually doing that, and replacing with inferior players, leads to where we are now. We’re a worse team than we were last season, when we were worse than the season before etc..
Look at it this way
Molde – Scored 9 Conceded 6
Fenerbache – Scored 6 Conceded 5
Ajax – Scored 5 Conceded 5
Celtic – Scored 7 Conceded 11
We’ve scored enough goals but conceded way too many.
4 goals over 2 games with Malmo on top of that
He needs to pick his first choice back four for the rest of the season and pick them week in week out. Personally, I’d like to see Lustig, Charlie, Jozo and Tierney.
I’m not sure we should persevere with Boyata.
Moyes will not be Celtic manager, thankfully, as he wouldn’t work under the conditions that the likes of RD and NL are/were happy to work under.

Thing is….imho…Celtic fans wont get a manager who knows his stuff coz, he’ll be seen as a threat to the ‘racket’ that’s going on between, PL & JP….bungs / brown-envelopes all round….can I prove it…..?

But, I can smell it…..like a big stinking-cheating-ebt….but,only worse….coz, these are Celtic men….taking what should be, Celtic fans money.
It’s a two option thing as far as I can see.
Bring in cheap players and get a big cut……?
