From the updates seemed like a first class performance. Their goal could not possibly have been the keeper’s fault because there wasn’t one FFS posted after the goal. That is the CQN definitive test on defensive mistakes.

Morning all , not usually up at this hour on a Sunday. Looking after my daughter’s dog for a couple of days and in her many instructions it was ‘walk the dog at 7’ – however no-one told the dog who made the decision that it was a 6 o’clock walk.
Looking forward to Wednesday with excitement and dread in equal measures. Will be in Tenerife by then.

Seems I missed a great performance yesterday. Can only bode well for the future.
Hope we don’t get drubbed by Man City (who used to be my favourite English side in the days of Bell, Summerbee and Lee). Big big step up in the CL. Just wish I could be there.

If you are in the eternal city make sure you visit The Church of Saint Ignacious Loyola which is just round from the Pantheon and Santa Maria Supra Minerva.
Sant Ignazio is one of Rome’s hidden gems and is very different to all of the other churches in Rome with modern exhibitions inside that are really worth seeing.
It also boasts what is perhaps the most amazing ceiling in Rome, including the Sistine.
Other oddities to see are the Galleria Sciarra which is round the corner from the Trevi Fountain and the Ardeatine Caves out on the Via Appia which are worth visiting if you get the chance.

The last time I was there with Mrs and Miss Tally was about 12 years ago, just after Christmas.
Daughter was desperate to see the Colosseum.

I haven’t done as much sightseeing as I had planned. Got here last Sunday in the pouring rain. On Tuesday in the Piazza Vienniza I pulled a muscle in my leg running for a bus. Daft at my age, of course.
Trouble is I am supposed to be flying to Borneo on Friday.
Such is life.

Oh, Rome is crowded. Mind you, it was fairly easy to go through the Holy Door in St Peter’s even with the crowds and the security and m hobbling.

Ha ha! Didn’t meet them, but had lunch just across from the very posh hotel they used, situated right on the canal. Knew it was posh from the keypad entry system to keep the likes of me out!

When you get up early to see an exhibition on the story of Bruges, and you come out of it at 10 am with someone handing you a freshly poured beer, gratis, at a kiosk at the exit, you know you’re in a class city!
When my wife said to me, “A bit early, no?” the beer guy said, “Not in Belgium, Madam!”.
I had hers.
I don’t see the sheep winning today. They have had a slow start to the season and McInnes might do a McCall as part of his try out for the sevco job. He will probably play the sheep’s under 11 side today.
