Looks like we have a troll on tonight. Remember how to treat a troll – ignore him!
What a night to be a Tim. What a night to be a hurting, hurting troll!
Just makes it better and better.

Had my concerns at half time that a good few of the team were blowing, they looked knackered. I was concerned that the second half would see us dipping and City taking the lead or pulling away from us.
How wrong I was, a heroic performance against a city side that not only dwarf our budget by a comically large amount but who have so far been invincible in the (supposed) greatest league in the world this season
For me there wasn’t a man of the match tonight but a man who stood was Craig Gordon, he has responded to the arrival of a rival No. 1 that forced him out of the team in the best possible way. Gordon may not have the best distribution, but his shot stopping kept us in the game tonight. Arguments could take place as to how de Vries would have faired this evening but I believe that Gordon is the far superior shot stopper who kept us in the game. I hope that he keeps his place and proves his worth over the coming weeks.
It is a good time to be a tim..

I think that is the loudest i have heard CP for the full 90 minutes, a truly memorable game.Brown , Lustig were brilliant, can we get big Kolo for another couple of years? Really pleased for Brendab after the Barca game.A game we can build on hopefully.

Agree on ref he was fair.
One thing we need to be is a little cuter.
There were times when they knew they could not retain possession that they put there body across felt contact and gained foul and kept possession.
We need to learn the same for European stage.

Beaming with pride at that performance, well done to the full squad and management and a special amount of praise for our wonderful support.

You are becoming a bore with you’re constant Bitton bashing.
None of the goals we conceded tonight were the fault of Bitton but that hasn’t stopped you from attaching blame in his direction.
Did you notice that we conceded far more chances in the minutes that Bitton was substituted?
The first should have been put out for a corner from one of the defenders.
The second was because Moussa gave the ball away when in comfortable possession which left us exposed.
The third was created on the left side of our defence, which is the area our defending could have been better and we were unlucky that Gordon’s save went straight to Nolito.
We get it you don’t like the guy but you are way off even trying to apportion blame on Nir tonight.

Thats what i do with certain posters.
I was not bashing him but merely providing a counterpoint to someone who was being overblown on his performance.
As i stated all 3 goals came from central midfield areas not crosses from wings.
It is a recurring theme.
I hope we upgrade in next few transfer windows.

If I scroll by you then I miss the decent points you have.
Nir was involved in two goals, that you only mentioned when prompted, the second goal was a brilliant bit of skill and release for Rogic.
I also see you don’t answer that we conceded as many chances in the time Bitton was off as the other 85 minutes, but repeat the false notion that the three goals conceded were from central areas.
For the third they got through on the left hand side and because Gordon makes a good save and pushes it out centrally in you’re mind you can apportion that to Bitton, madness.
The bottom line is, he is still young and learning and is the best option we have in that area.
Spare us the scapegoating at least when it is not merited.
It’s always a good idea tae take a day’s annual leave
after a CL night at Celtic Park.

Tbh how many of us would have believed we would be watching that performance tonight after the Lincoln red imp defeat just 2 months ago. At this rate of progress we will be world beaters by the end of the season.
No one prompted me to write about his involvement in goals.
I was responding to put perspective on overblown praise.
They did not score when he went off.
On the third goal it was a run from inside right position but if you would read what i said Nolito was not tracked so had easy tap in from central area.If you look at Barca game numerous goals came because of the lack of tracking man.
The poster was praising his defensive ability that allowed Brown to play further forward so on Sterlings goal i stated it was Moussas poor pass that led to Brown being stranded but if poster was correct then Nir should have been covering.Sterling received a great pass as the central area was vacant.
Again on first when attempted clearance dropped into central area we had no one there.
This is a recurring problem.
How many times did they come through middle?
Compare how many times their centre mids allowed us the same?
Only Kierens goal came from a run at heir central defenders ou other two were crosses.
I did not scapegoat i just wanted to give a balance to another poster.
I watched Dortmond and Real last night and the positional discipline was brilliant by both sides.
We seem to be getting better defensively and in attack but our central midfield area is our weakness.
Nir gets caught wrongside to often and gives away fouls in dangerous areas in every game.Tonight Craig made a great save in second from a free kick. because Nir did as he always does.
I think we need to be positionally and defensively better in the central area.

Couldn`t watch , mate, after their first equaliser.
On saying that , I am instantly transported to Celtic`s first league win under Jock . Motherwell `66 .
An old guy who used to go to the games with us didn`t travel.
On asking why he wasn`t there I was told.
” He doesn`t think his heart could stand it. ”
Now I understand.

Is there any truth in the rumour that the UEFA official is reporting Celtic for drowning out the Champions League anthem?
