  1. Which ever way you dress it up , Rangers fought till the end and earned a draw they deserved .

Fans on here have been slagging them off as an irrelevance , no money , no credit from banks , NO MANAGER and a team with duds and overage players, Celtic are years ahead on and off the park ….yet tbeir fitness levels saw them grab an equaliser in the dying moments and posters saying they celebrated like they won something special …….jeezo , we’ve never celebrated a draw at ibrox as something special .

Its a game of football and theres nothing quite like getting a late equaliser or winner against the odds .

Anyhoo , Brendan will now where we lack adaquate cover/players, Central D and the RB positions for me , hopefully Eboue Kouasse is the guy we need in the HM role .

  2. Madden is making the headlines but we know it has ever been thus.

More concerning for me was our lack of tactical know how to breakdown what was an predicable tactical formation of 4-5-1 from Murty given his teams limitations.

Yes we were lacklustre but at times I thought I was watching a Ronnie team of last year. Lost of possession at the back, too slow and too obvious coming forward. Changes forced or not really did not change our tactics but the game changer was Armstrong off and Griff on. The shape seemed to go 4-2- 4 and allowed them into the game.

I think everyone was beginning to believe the media hype and hopefully this is a wake up call for everyone that we need to up the game to achieve the treble.

No, I knew fine what to expect, but, as I said, and I gave you an example, there were posts pre-match suggesting our fears of bias, and those of JohnJames, we’re misplaced, as Midden would be more concerned about his reputation, and being seen as fair, as he is an ‘ambitious pro”, and would be aware that ” the world was watching”, and this would make him wary of “embarrassing himself”.

Weebobbycollins has come on to say he had posted these thoughts. Turned out he was wrong.

  4. The ref controlled the game well yesterday and was a major factor in the result.

Clear penalty and blatant red card tackles aside his differing standard allowed his favored team an advantage.

The different way he applied the rules to Waghorn and Dembele was blatant.

They were allowed to barge pull, push and manhandle Dembele throughout and any time he won the ball madHun penalized him for a mystery infringement.

Waghorn got away with a deliberate foul on KT with no yellow and continually jumped into and lunged at Celtic players and was the beneficiary of a few fouls given to him.

The Holt and Miller tackles suggest the huns were well aware of his tolerance and they knew that physical thereat to opponents would go unchecked.

The soft foul given that lead to their goal was again an example of ref/cheat controlling game in his f teams favour and this was a constant in the game.

    Lads (and/or lassies),

a big welcome to the CQN Cheltenham Naps competition – I hope everyone manages to find the big-priced winners, and enjoys the best NH horse racing of the year !

    RULES

On each day of the Cheltenham festival, pick ONE selection in every race (7 horses per day)

    POINTS

    > Race winner = 10 pts + starting price

    > 2nd place = 5pts

    > 3rd place = 3pts

    e.g. Djakadam wins at 5/2 = 10 + 2.5 = 12.5 points

    e.g. Vroum Vroum Mag wins at 4/1 = 10 + 4 = 14 pts

    WINNING NAPSTER

Whoever accumulates the highest number of points from all 28 races, over 4 days of the Cheltenham festival. Our defending champion is Frankmarker who achieved 178.89 points in last year’s competition, including 11 (ELEVEN) winners… which is a phenomenal target to try and beat !

Can you hear the Roooooaaaaarrrrr ?

    Good luck everyone…

    Cheers, fleagle1888

  17. I don’t like putting forward horses for betting purposes because I’d feel guilty if they bombed out – but thought I’d show the detail of an email from Gordon Elliott’s yard re today’s races (see below – and further down the email for tomorrow’s races.) I now know I’m a bit late with this info, but anyway.

Do with it what you will.

“On Day 1 we have 5 runners:

The tricky LABAIK is up first in the Supreme Novice Hurdle, what can we say – he’s got a great engine and loads of ability but he’s just a bit too clever for his own good! In recent weeks he’s had plenty of days out hunting to try to sweeten him up. If he decides to start he has a very credible chance so fingers crossed the Cheltenham Roar will give him the help along he needs! Jack Kennedy rides.

Our next runners are in the Ultima Handicap Chase in which we have 2 representatives; CLARCAM – Bryan Cooper and NOBLE ENDEAVOR – Davy Russell. Obviously on his best days Clarcam is top class but he can be inconsistent and his latest run wasn’t one of his best – however if he puts in one of his better performances he still has a great chance. Noble Endeavor was the emphatic winner of the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown back in December and heads to Cheltenham looking and feeling a million dollars, Davy Russell retains the ride.

APPLES JADE is our next runner in the OLBG Mares Hurdle, this is a seriously hot race but she goes with a decent chance, this race looks to be one of the most exciting of the day for us and there is sure to be a nail biting finish! Bryan Cooper takes the ride.

TIGER ROLL contests the JT McNamara Amateur Chase in the capable hands of Lisa O’Neill who has been having a fantastic season – he jumps like a buck and is in seriously good form at home so we hope he can provide Lisa with a fantastic Cheltenham Festival experience!”

    And tomorrow’s runners

“First up we have BRELADE – Jack Kennedy and SHATTERED LOVE – Bryan Cooper in the Grade 1 Neptune Investment Management Novice Hurdle. Brelade, a 5 year old son of Presenting has been very consistent for us and ran some blinders, finishing 2nd and 3rd on both his Grade 1 starts he’s progressing into a fine young horse and we hope for another great run from him. Shattered Love is one of the biggest mares in the yard, she has been very impressive winning 4 of her 7 starts under rules and is yet to finish out of the first 3, this will be her biggest ask to date but we are confident in her abilities and she goes with a nice chance.

In the Coral Cup we have AUTOMATED – Jack Kennedy and TOMBSTONE – Bryan Cooper. Automated faces the biggest day of his career in this Grade 3, he gets on really well with Jack Kennedy and has a nice little chance in this, the pick of our 2 however is obviously Tombstone, he put up his most impressive run to date last time out beating multiple Grade 1 winner Jezki at Gowran Park.

2 again in the Glenfarclas Cross Country; BLESS THE WINGS – Davy Russell and CAUSE OF CAUSES – Jamie Codd. Both these horses jump for fun and they will be in their element here! Obviously due to his 2 previous Cheltenham wins Cause Of Causes looks to have the upper hand but Bless The Wings will keep his head down and keep on galloping, they are both honest and tough and we expect good runs from both.

In the Fred Winter we have DAKOTA MOIRETTE – Bryan Cooper and ICARIO – Jack Kennedy. Dakota Moirette looks to be the better of the 2 on form but Icario is consistent, this will be a big ask for both horses but they haven’t travelled over without a chance and we hope for some good luck for both!

Finally in the Champion Bumper we have FAYONAGH partnered by Jamie Codd, she was very impressive on her yard debut at Fairyhouse last month and now has 2 Bumper wins under her belt, she couldn’t be in better hands with Jamie on board and we expect a decent run!”
