I may still be half asleep but I can recaĺl us beating a team calling Vejle of Denmark in 73/4 after a 0-0 home leg. Oh and there were another two occasions when we won after drawing at home that some readers may recall. Liverpool and Boavista in 2003.

Can you give the Rebs a break FFS it’s getting boring.

Poor performance last night especially when yer goalie is MOM closely followed by Wee Jamesie :-))

A wee thing I’ve wondered about for a few years – Do we play with a different ball (pressure) in the SPL than in Europe?

We seem to be unable to control, shoot or header the bloody thing in Europe.

I recall a few World Cups ago the Germans played a whole Bundesliga Season with the ball that was to be used in the following WC were no one seemed to be able to control it, free kicks were ballooning over the bar etc. – Guess who won?

Now, if it is a different pressure then why aren’t we using balls with the same pressure in our league?

  4. Ok, last night was disappointing but score first in Trondheim and Rosenborg will start to open up and expose themselves.

    But that’s next week.

What time is Celtic’s response to SPFL due???

  5. Very flat last night, we’re definitely affected when the Trinity’s only firing on 2 cylinders.

  6. All things considered, it was a decent result. Hope Griff gets fit.

    In ither news…..

Doncaster seems very pleased with himself and his magnanimous call to other “fans” is sleekitry of the most highest.

    Shameful.

Your word of the day is probably THE defining word for how so many in Scottish Football have acted over the last 10 years

  8. In Berlin this week so didn’t catch the game, my brother and mate were there and according to them we were lucky not to lose three or four goals last night.

Big improvement needed next week, the Griffalo has been struggling with calf injuries for months it seems, if he’s not fit I don’t fancy us to win the tie over there.

I’d say Rosenborg can be considered favourites to qualify next week but Celtic are unbeaten in our last three away European games. Find the spirit of last season and we should be fine. A good hour from Nir Bitton on Saturday could propel him into Wednesday’s team.

  10. Analysis of the game is ok of course. Expected.

However, we’ve not suddenly become a poor team. We had an off night.

    …… yet didn’t look lose.

    Rosenberg at their best.

    Celtic very poor.

Rosenborg are a better team than anybody we play domestically and they were far sharper. Celtic were denied space and pressured every time we got the ball.

    The shape was all wrong.

  12. Morning awe

Do we play cifci in the 2nd leg

Team lacked focal point last nite

I think they’ll score at home

    I don’t rate him personally

    Better than nowt

  13. Griff always seems to have an injury after he’s been a bit naughty (someone pointed this out yesterday).

    Is he really injured?

We really need him to start next Wednesday.

He did the business in Astana… Same final score as that match would do just nicely for us…

    Niklas Bendtner .

” Juventus have done some shameful things over the years .For the football fans amongst us perhaps the most shameful is the inexplicable decision to sign Bendtner ( thankfully on loan ) .9 appearances in Serie A- getting big money for impersonating a truck with no wheels and no engine . That and whatever Quagliarella was paying him to demonstrate that it was possible to be an even worse player than Quagliarella”
