Another incident of note from yesterday. Celtic player fouled on halfway . Ross county player kicks the ball back to his keeper a good 5 seconds after the whistle ( that’s a yellow ) Keeper faffs about for a bit then blooters the ball into the main stand ( another yellow )

The players know RD wont be there next season,and have stopped listening to him. We need the experienced guys to step up and get us over the line.
There are only 3 Stats from yesterday that are important
1. We won 2-0
2. We collected 3 points
3. We are one game closer to picking up our 5th title in a row.
I can’t comment on booing or disgruntled fans as I watched the game on CTV on my Jack Todd. Wasn’t the best Celtic performance I have ever seen but was definitely light years away from the worst Celtic performance I have ever seen and I’ve seen a few under various managers including big Jock – League Cup final against Partick Thistle comes to mind.

Yesterday Celtic won a league match defeating a team, fourth in the league and on a reasonable run of form, fairly comprehensively and economically. We were never under any sustained pressure and largely dominated play. We won comfortably and kept a clean sheet.
We played our normal formation, but our spine played very well.
Our centre backs played well, supporting each other. Our sitting pair of Brown and Bitton maintained a tight control on affairs and SJ returned to something like the form that made him POTY last season.
Only Zig and Zag disappointed in the first half though both improved greatly in the second 45.
Of our starting eleven, eight, Gordon, Lustig, Boyata, Eric, Tierney, Brown, Bitton and Griff would be automatic picks for most managers. Only our three supporting attacking midfielders are really up for debate.
Ronny chose Zig, Zag and Joe.
Who else could he choose?
Kris is injured, Rogic just returning from injury, Callum in the slammer, Jamsie on an extended wtf run of form and the rest new bhoys yet to show if they can deliver for Celtic.
Whatever three are chosen, they will be the guys to either deliver or give the ball away! Fact!
As someone earlier pointed out, we are on our way to five in a row. Some peepil may not like that!

Saw enough of Allen in the Hibs team to see that the boy has ability. As Sandman says he cannot be judged properly in the Hoops until he is given some consistent game time. My lad said he was not on the bench yesterday because he was injured in training. If that is the case why do we suffer so many injuries on the training field?

Good point, why do we get so many injuries and the players that do play are knackered with ten mins to go.
Just an opinion… When John Collins unvailed his six pack to the hibs players and installed a fitness regime, they rebelled.
Some players have the ability to do this, others don’t and will find it too much and their heads go down not being able to keep up, others will play the sickness card as they know it’s beyond them.
A happy workforce is a productive workforce…I don’t see it in our team.
As said, an opinion, before you come on and bemoaning me for having one Tony d. :))))

Does anyone really believe Ronny will be Celtic Manager next season
WITS… Nope.
The inconsistencies in the refereeing this season finally got to me yesterday, so much so out of pure frustration I left the stadium just before our first goal. We are playing to different rules from every other team in Scotland, in my own mind yesterday I had walked out the stadium for the last time.
I was raging at Clancy’s performance but he is not alone this season. It’s cheating on an enormous scale and hee haw to do with honest mistakes.
Still not sure if I’ll go next week, thinking to myself what’s the point ?

You believe that our nervousness as fans is down to our propensity to give away careless goals and to give away points.
However, any phobia, for it to be a realistic phobia rather than an irrational phobia, has to be based on rational possibility. It is a more rational phobia to be scared of the drive to the airport than the flight itself but more people have a fear of the latter. In statistical terms, they should be more scared of staying in the house, because that’s where most accidents happen. But there are many aviation phobics and few car phobics or house phobics. The perception overwhelms the reality.
In Celtic terms, how often should you expect Efe to cock-up? We remember the last one and I am not even sure it was deliberate on Efe’s part, despite it still being a definite pen award in my eyes. But when did he cock-up before? How often should we expect it? Some players are steady Eddies and never let you down but rarely put in an above average performance. If you have a defender who is a steady 5 out of 10 do you play him ahead of a guy who is normally 7 out of 10 but throws in an occasional 2 or 3 performance? How has he managed 47 international caps for a country that breeds good players and played so often for us if he was reliably a bomb scare?
I can understand a recency effect for nervousness- the last two games- but it is akin to believing that smoking does not cause cancer because we know a 90 year old who has smoked 20 a day all his life.

I think the fans have had enough of the coaching staff,and that’s reason they are saying that the team are rotten, whether it’s win lose or draw.they are just fed up .nothing to get excited about Celtic at present. Need big changes

I would echo WDH’s point- never had one with a player’s name before and never will.
It is a question that should be asked of our kids. I see plenty of them with player’s names on their backs and I trust it is their favourite player’s name and not their dad’s favourite player’s name, which would be sad.
At noon today I wanted Arsenal to win that EPL bollocks. Backed the draw, now want Arsenal to get the pox and die a miserable death. In all honesty they huffed and puffed, and will not win the league, Leicester ? It would be great if they could smash the cartel.

Every time i hear about Bitton being an automatic pick ii wonder where that preposterous notion comes from?
He may well be good footballer but is an absolute liability in the position he plays for us.
Last week against county their first goal from his week challenge set up their first goal.
Yesterday Gordon pulled of a brilliant save after Bitton allowed his man goalside in the central area after a poor attempt at tackle.
He is supposed to be our anchor.
He can’t tackle and has no positional sense and rarely gives us any forward momentum as he always takes the sideways or backwards easy pass.
We have given away numerous goals this season and mostly due to the poor protection the centre mids give to the much maligned defense.
I think he is an imposter in the position he holds for us and should be nowhere near the team let alone an automatic pick.

It’s clear Ronny cannot be given another run at the CL. His one dimensional approach whether winning or losing is not flexible enough to deliver.
To change him now is only really worth it if there is a suitable interim or solid appointment to be made. We have regressed. The quality of player has diminished significantly highlighted by the Dundee Utd trio although GMS showed heart yesterday his pal Armstrongs contribution meant we were playing with 10 men.
The Celtic playing budget is extensively squandered where from one week to the next we can lose to Ross County or win in a tough encounter. We are not capable of brushing a team like this aside.
The downsizing by Lawwell has been the result of extremely poor execution of the strategy. Ronny should never have been given the job. Having a yes man in place has allowed the CEO to continue to play Director of Football. The squandering of some the Virgil money highlights what happens when you have a beancounter playing Championship Manager.
Ronny also had a strategy of a high tempo, pressing passing game. Like the clubs player strategy it has not delivered. When the player strategy and the playing strategy both splutter you are left with the team with a budget 20X in excess of Ross County struggling to obtain the points.
Ronny will go ….Lawwell will stay and take his bonus loot. Dermot will check the scores on his mobile. The club will meander along. The support will support but will eventually stay away in greater numbers.
The opportunity to put significant daylight between ourselves , the rest of Scottish football and the new club based at Ibrox has been badly squandered. The architect of this failure is still planning the next phase of downsizing.
With hindsight even Lawwell must admit the failure to capitalise on the opportunity afforded to club. On the other hand maybe he is laughing all the way to the bank with not a pang of guilt. For sure he knows he is far from innocent in this mess we are in.
The vast majority of fans know Ronny has to go and if they are honest with themselves will realise Lawwells time is up as well.
