Interesting , hopefully we find out more about it soon and start to see the benifits.

There does be some great suggestions on here from time to time.

“The group has a name I can’t reveal.”

    OPUS CELTIC?

  3. I heard he was dead on

Standard win today. Switched off a bit at the end – something to be worked on.

    A New signing.

More to come before Tuesday night?

    Hopefully.

    Onwards from here.

  5. I see McGeady has yet again not been fielded for Everton.

    Could he be returning home?

    Loan deal?

    Freebie?

    Would we want him?

    Where would he fit?

Do we have enough midfield seats on the team bus?

  6. Sorry but if the Green Brigade think that calling your own team “gutless” is acceptable then they have lost the run of themselves. I have always loved the energy and passion they bring, not always liked some of their banners, but that is going too far.

The Green Brigade have had their run ins with the Board and are entitled to their opinion on them but attacking the team in such a public manner is well out of order in my opinion.

Sorry if this has already been done to death but have been at work since early this morning and only now getting chance catch up with the blog.

Behind the striker Stefan Johansen or Aiden McGeady ????

There is room for good players in Ronny’s system, and Aiden is better than good

  8. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

It’s so sad when you see some of the Celtic Bhoys plying their trade elsewhere, when we take punts in the four corners.

Whether the GB were correct or not, our team were gutless on Wednesday, it was a bad, bad performance, the players were at fault, as for the banner, hopefully the players already knew how bad they were….

can exclusively reveal :-)) that this is already happening and that Celtic are well ahead of the game in this respect. They have formed a group of 60 business and professional big hitters to draw on their expertise. The group has a name which I won’t reveal. The Club don’t want to give this too much publicity in case others compete with them. Meetings and presentations have taken place already. My bro-in-law is one of these guys. Many of them have influence on a global scale, holding senior positions with large, well known businesses.

    ====

Aye extremely commendable idea from a purely business perspective but do any of the these alleged ‘big hitters’ know anything about running a successful football club? Celtic FC are a football club first and foremost which should equate to putting a successful competitive team on the park and not the profit from the number of burgers or replica shirts sold. It should include succession planning for the attrition of our players from richer leagues – basically a like for like replacement model or indeed an improvement on the pervious incumbent not the system we have at present – buy and keep the fingers crossed he can be sold for a profit. All this is possible within our financial constraints.

  11. When is Ciftci’s ban up?

He needs a string of games to get him up to speed.

LG can’t carry the weight of being our lone striker week in week out.

  12. Yes, got to say that Joe hansen has been well off the boil but nut sure Aiden is the answer, Not often good to go back.

Someone posted earlier that’s the ban up, so expect see him tearing into the opposition at our next game

  14. Winning Captains – what’s up with the double spacing when you copy paste on this site? Plus including a link to a post??

  15. McGeady…..no thanks..

Unless we have genuine intentions of playing a 2-7-1 formation….

I think Rogic, Scott Allan, Armstrong, Forrest, GMS , and Christie if he comes will present sufficient options as attacking midfielders…… These guys should be fazed in to the starting line-up… The likes of Commons, Johansen phased out.

The baldy guy , Brazilian that played for Quarabag was very good…. Imagine him in beside Bitton.

Anyway, if Tyler is predominantly a left full back, then the signing priority before Tuesday midnight remains an experienced centre half.

And a powerful striker would be good too.

  17. Beautiful late summer afternoon in Paradise, with ever the slightest caress of autumn, and good to see some of the fabled Gazebonians recover quickly from the cruel European fickle finger of fate.

Celtic regained their composure after the disappointment of Europe, and two own goals, if you include the Green Brigade banner.

I for one, was pleased to see Izzaguire restored to the side, and if you are going to insist on attacking full backs, he’s the main man, and he turned in another great shift. Janko on the right had another good game marauding down the right, hand side and it’s hard to believe he’s only 19.

Celtic continued brightly but there’s no mistake even with the changes made first player choices are way off form, though VVD and Boyata strolled it, Scott Brown still looked jaded until he bore the brunt of a shocking unpunished tackle in the second half. Gary McKay Steven continues to look like little bhoy lost, and although Kris Commons threatened, he didn’t quite click.

Tom Rogic carried on with his progress and scored a fine individual goal, and Leigh Griffiths helped himself to another with a loopy deflection, to restore some normality to the opening proceedings, in the last of the home 3.00 O’Clock Saturday K.O.’s, for some time.

Another windfall went out my window, but the blow was softened as the announcer introduced Tyler Blackett, though the Paradise PA system doesn’t allow us to hear a word of what the new defender said.

The second half saw the usual ‘Ronny three subs routine’ and Charlie Mulgrew turned up on the opposition’s one metre line to gratefully nod home the decisive goal. That was it for the three points, except for a stunning late double save from shot stopper supreme Craig Gordon.

A quick splice through the Kerrydale bar queue and a skip over the Kerrydale clover, and home in jig time.

Just missed Paul67 this time on the match day experience, never mind Jobo Baldie, he ain’t.

  18. GERRYFAETHEBRIG I didn’t see the game on Tuesday so cannot say whether the team are “gutless” or not but it does not give the Gb the right to try and publicly humiliate them. I guess the media will be lapping this up, cracked crests aplenty no doubt.

If this is how “Ultra” supporters behave then I am glad just to be an ordinary guy

  19. Looking forward to the green brigaders singing the jungle favorite in the coming weeks

    Sack the board.

Holy willies can then boo them cos your better celiac supporters.

    Let our young people sing.

I don’t know the others but some of them have impressive business pedigrees. My bro-in-law is a Celtic fanatic and knows a lot about football.

    Guys

I love the Opus Celts idea. :-)) as regards to it being a bit ‘Masonic’, I’ve already given more info than I should have. I just wanted Hebcelt to know that the Club are not entirely clueless. There may well be some CQNers already involved. I won’t be giving any further info on this but I think that it’s an exciting initiative:

  21. I hear that SydneyTim and Neganon were on banner duty today in 111?

    :-)

Agree, or disagree with airing their dirty laundry in the stadium, I don’t see the difference to continuously espousing a negative and critical agena on the blog. Winning Captains himself has said that CQN gets in the tens of thousands of hits. How many of those are not Tims? The principle remains the same.

  22. viewfaethewindae on

    Desperately average performance today.

Ronny really needs to change our style in Scotland and play two up front. The Grif did OK but with a powerful partner he’d be much more effective. Scott Allen showed good touches, Chris Commons isn’t a wide right player and every time a ball comes into our box we panic – lots of work to do before the trip to Aberdeen.

    State the obvious CSC

    TOSB

Is the point not that it was to remain hush hush?

I know of some further afield that are already onboard but like the Masons it’s supposed to be a secret

  24. Spurs Everton 0-0 HT

    Bayern 1-0 Leverkusen at HT.

Muller takes his haul to 4 from 3 games.

Anyone think he’d like chance of a stint in Paradise?

    Me neither.

  25. SDB

I was just going to say the same thing.

I can see no difference airing your views on a blog, a phone in, or at the ground, jeez, just ask Sammi or Efe what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the boo boys, and very few are from the GB section.

They like everyone have the right to express their views, and it was their view, they don’t profess to be the view of all the support.

If those booing them so wished, they could have made their own banner.
