CELTS IN TUG-OF-WAR FOR £25m ACE

CELTIC could be involved in a four-team tug-of-war for Spurs left-back Ryan Sessegnon.

The 20-year-old London ace has been linked with the Hoops as Neil Lennon searches for options for the No.3 position with only Greg Taylor available following the abrupt shift of blundering Boli Bolingoli to Turkey on loan for the season.

Jonny Hayes also left at the end of his contract to rejoin Aberdeen to add to the Irishman’s headaches as he scours the market before the deadline on Monday.

But Lennon faces fierce competition for Sessegnon, who cost £25million when he joined from Fulham last summer, with Southampton, Brighton and Leeds United also in the hunt, according to the Glasgow Herald.

The player agreed a five-year deal when he joined from the Craven Cottage outfit, but has made only a dozen appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side, one of which was against Bayern Munich last year when he became the youngest Spurs player to score in the Champions League.

However, the recent arrivals of Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon have pushed Sessegnon further down the pecking order with a loan move anticipated this week.
