CIFTCI SEEKS TURKISH DEAL

CELTIC’S £1.5million misfit Nadir Ciftci wants to make his six-month loan move to Eskisehirspor permanent.
The misfiring marksman, with just four goals in 22 appearances since his summer deal from Dundee United, was allowed to go to Turkey on the last day of the January transfer deadline.
Ciftci has impressed despite a difficult early spell where he was hit with a three-game ban and a £6,000 fine from the Turkish FA for verbally abusing the referee after he was sent off in only his second game.

He said: “I would prefer to stay with Eskisehirspor if they make an offer for me in the next transfer window. I’ve enjoyed my football here and I love the club.

“We’ve been in danger of relegation all season, but we are all confident of avoiding it. One of the reasons I came to Turkey was to try and make the international squad for Euro 2016.”

Ciftci agreed a three-year contract with the Hoops when he arrived from the relegated Tayside outfit in July.
