COMMONS’ RENT PLEA

KRIS COMMONS tonight admitted he would like his contract situation sorted out soon.

And then the Celtic midfield ace joked: “I’ve got rent to pay, so I need to get some money in!”

Commons, making a rare first team start under Ronny Deila after scoring 32 goals last season, was delighted to put in a Man of the Match performance in the 2-0 win over Kilmarnock.

He said: “It was nice to get a start because it’s been quite awhile.
“The 90 minutes will do me the world of good. It was a shame I didn’t get on the scoresheet, but the main thing is that we won.
“We’ve got a job to do and we need to get back to the top of the league where we belong.
“I’m working hard to do my bit for the team. I’ll try and score as many goals and set up as many as I can.
“There’s been no movement on my contract, but I’ll keep working away and see what happens.”
