CUP FINAL TICKET BOOST FOR BEST FANS IN THE WORLD

1

CELTIC supporters, this week officially confirmed by FIFA as the best fans in the world, will have the majority of seats at the Betfred Cup Final on Sunday 26th November.

Not that they’ll sit in them!

After the fiasco at Saturday’s semi-final where Hibs selfishly demanded 50 per cent of the stadium only to embarrass themselves and the Scottish game by having the entire stand at the Mount Florida end completely empty.

This cost cash strapped clubs like Motherwell and the comedy Club around £60,000 each. Celtic were more concerned with the denial of season ticket holders from the game than the lost revenue.

The greatest fans in the world will occupy all of the North and East stands as well as parts of the South and West stands at next month’s final as Brendan Rodgers’ side strive to defend the first part of their Treble.

It’s such a pleasure to watch this Celtic team and all the Celtic supporters, this week named the Best Fans in the World by FIFA, are feeling particularly lucky. In fact they’d be as well visiting Dunder Casino when lady lucky is shining so favourably on the Bhoys these days.

By that we mean having Brendan Rodgers and his team at the club managing these players and producing performances like the 3-0 win at Aberdeen. There’s was nothing lucky about that, just footballing brilliance.

Some commentators were saying last week that it would be an Old Firm final but that didn’t happen as Rangers had a CVA rejected in June 2012 and plunged into liquidation.

A new club was formed by founding father Charles Green but it failed to reach the Betfred Final for what would have been the first time ever after being bullied, battered and beaten by Motherwell.

Motherwell fans will be in the South Stand Lower section O and P as well as the West Stand sections A and B1-5 while Celtic supporters will be based in South Stand Lower sections J and I, South Stand Upper section H, the North Stand, the East Stand and the West Stand Sections B6-8.

Ticket prices start at £30 for adults up to £40, which is a rise on last year’s £25-£35 price range.

This will be the third successive major Cup Final for Brendan Rodgers since his arrival at Celtic and the first step to retaining the treble won last year.
