  1. Saint Stivs says SACK THE BOARD on

So in merican football you can’t give your opponents the verbals as thats a penalty for taunting.

    I’ve heard it all now.

  2. OK ‘GG. I’ll record from here and watch later, avoiding any news.

Hope it’s a classic and enjoy it anyway.

    Hail Hail Mary Pass!

  3. How the F@@k anyone can slag off Neil Lennon is beyond me. I don’t want him to come back and I don’t think he would walk out on Bolton the treason I don’t ant him to come back is I would not like him to have to go through the shite he had to deal with from scum and the press.

Did not go today and did not watch the game after being in a foul mood since last Sunday thought I better treat Mrs C to a day out also treating her to a day out n txt Saturday at Celtic Park thinking youth it is a game that might need to viewed after a lot of hard drinking. Very worried on the league front was hoping the 3 games prior to RCFC had seen us turn a corner we are so brittle loss a goal and we collapse.

Very concerned I said before as fans go and back the team no one else hurts by defeat the play rs shrug it off, the management team are clueless and it looks like to me know they have lost it. The board do no care so that leaves us the support back the team to the hilt win the double then let loose against them all. The players and that do not train, the board who are aka us for granted and insult us with their behaviour and the mange meant team who look totally lost. Ask your self this what can I do to help the team win the league & do you want to win the league. No one else is going to do it but us, roaring on our team. We done it before and will do it again

  4. Also don’t know how anyone can really slag off Fergus without him we would have beaten the Huns to liquidation by 20 years

  5. Haven’t read back. Although these games are difficult to come out of with any credit, I think Celtic yesterday burrowed into the depths of worst performance against minnows ever.

We were rubbish. EK were at their best but our highly paid internationals should swat aside PE teachers and electricians.

    Nothing like good enough.

So,in a monumental battle to try and win the double we have one striker.

    Aye that will suffice.

Stokes booted oot,Ciftci likewise and where’s Cole?.

Away doon to star in the next episode of Eastenders?

    Absolute and utter disgrace.

  7. Iniquitous

And yet, even after that magnificent victory, against Man U, there were posts on here stating how lucky we were and how poorly we played. One even boldly stated that we stole the game. And those were definitely made by Celtic supporters.

We have been predicting doom and gloom, slow lanes and 10k crowds, since MON left. We were predicting a disaster for WGS from before Artmedia right through 3iar until we finally lost a league and got to say “Told you so” and “get him sacked!”.

As a fanbase we have coped badly with the Rangers/Sevco situation. Posters on here were holding them up as an example of a club that speculated to accumulate, and as one that did its transfer business early and decisively. Then we had to cope with the awful realisation that we had not been paranoid enough. Then we had to deal with them “winning” all their legal battles via BTC and LNS so we added fear to our paranoia.

Now, we have them (temporarily?) on the wrong side of the law, flailing about to remain solvent, but defying all logic by staying alive through misinformed or mis-timed predictions of their death. We have three ways to resolve the cognitive dissonance caused by all that.

Either we believe that justice WILL catch up with them and we allow Celtic to go on as they must doing what economics says they must.

Or we fear them winning all their legal battles and being allowed and subsidised on the way to rude health.

Or we embrace them back as long lost enemies, wanting to have a chance to lord it over them cheaply for a year or two.

I fear the 3rd option is winning with far too many fellow Celts.

Meanwhile the delusional sevcoites are rallying round their pheonixed club and showing more defiance and confidence than we are.

I wish we were more united but we are not.

It seems we are all typical Celts, more comfortable with hardship and adversity than with being top dogs and favourites. The old Caledonian antisyzygy

  8. Goodnight guys

Every game is a big one now, hopefully the crowd awaken from their slumber and get behind the team and the GB.

    Take care :)

  9. Tricoloured Ribbon on

Don’t worry Lustig,Johansen and Armstrong are on the way back.

    Three utter chanty wrastlers.

  10. G.G @ 12.24:

I asked how many would think we would beat Ross County or ICT away in the Cup. We have regressed considerably since our last league away games against both teams. Yesterday, we scored 2 scrappy goals against a team of amateurs. We were shockingly bad. Something is really badly wrong at Celtic Park and Ronnie does not inspire a whit of confidence.

  11. Caberfeigh, agree regarding Fergus, without him, who knows where we might be?

I doubt the players are not hurt by defeat. they are professional players, defeat hurt’s,

    it does in my business.

Matt McGinley, well played, your Dad should be very proud, and I’m sure he is.

  12. There seem’s to be a mood among our support, where if we win we should, we play in a diddy league, if we loose it’s disaster and unacceptable.

It is not a mood I share.

We played within ourselves today, respectful of opponents, not looking to humiliate them, just progress to the next round, professional.

And Sunday Bloody Sunday being played at the Super Bowl.

Not great football, and it has been a difficult week for us.

I still have faith in Ronny.

  13. Setting Free The Bears @ 11:24:

Personally, I think Option 2 of your three is most likely.

If we draw Sevco in the Cup, I have little confidence we would beat them. We just seem to be going in opposite directions. With the possible exception of Sviachenko and Brown, we have no guts, no heart, no spirit. This is totally demoralizing for the support.

Somebody on this site ( apologies for not remembering who ) made a superb point recently. Forrest is the fastest player in Scottish football, but somehow contrives to be second to every 50-50 ball. Sums it up for this current ream for me.

    SFTB,

    Never mind the Huns.

This shower of charlatans running Celtic have allowed our team to be a laughing stock.Humped right, left and centre by dross like like like Malmo,Maribor.Legia Warsaw.Ross County,Morton, etc.Oh forgot about Molde.

Now,yourself, with respect,Paul et al can flannel away all you want.I am a sick to the back teeth of it.Deila hasn’t a clue.We had an ample opportunity to bring in,Christie,Roberts,O’Connell, and Allan today and try and be fresh.

NO,back to the failures of the past.

The party is over and don’t kid yourself.

The board out ,Deila,Kennedy and Collins out now.

  15. Let me ask all those who advocate sticking with Ronny – I respect your position but think you are mistaken:

Are you now willing to accept that losing the league is a credible risk and, is it a price worth paying to keep Ronny and his philosophy in place?

….and please address the substance and not Peter Lawwells salary….for once.

  16. Doc players that hate losing will burst a gut trying to avoid defeat to many of our players wilt when starring defeat in the face. I hope they hurt bad it does not show I except Brown & Griff i & Johansen from that.

  17. Tricoloured Ribbon on

    Mr Pastry,

As I said to you last week,

I think ye know the game.

    Now my friend,

    Who appointed Deila?

  18. Mr Pastry, I believe we will win the League this year.

We are in transition, from a Duopoly to a Monopoly, it’s an adjustment.

We are still in that process.

    Where will it go?

We will win. We have better players, as WGS said, often, good managers have better players.

  19. Mr Pastry

We are sticking with Ronny so let’s make the best of it.

We don’t have a good record of winning leagues when players know manager is for the off, see WGS and MON.

Ronny has too many doubters and that’s his own fault, mostly for European failures but also Hampden failings with referees doing him no favours. But he had bad days at Hampden.

He’ll win us the league if we let him. Support Celtic.

  20. Caberfeigh, I do believe there is a professional pain in defeat, it is not the same as a supporters pain.

And our players feel this.(there are a couple of supporters in the team, they feel both)

But it results in the same thing, an incentive to win the next game.

It does not result in a pre-defined result, that is what some might call Hunnish.

    We play a sport.

We have no right to win, regardless of money spent, we simply have to go out and win games now.

  21. Tricoloured Ribbon on

    Caberfeigh,

Park’s relationship with Lawwell absolutely makes sure he is bullet proof

  22. Winning Captains, Referees “doing him no favours”, is that code for cheating?

For the Semi final last season particularly.

  23. Iniquitous

We have only one piece of evidence on how we would fare vs Sevco.

RD’s Celtic strolled a game against them last year- it was as comfortable as the EK win today- neither team laid a glove on us.

In a cup game, I believe myself and the bookies would have ourselves, Aberdeen and Hearts as clear odds on against them. St. J, Ross Co. and ICT would be close to evens, Thistle would be around 5/4 against and only Hamilton, Killie, Well and United would be rated clear odds against (as Killie showed today). Their players have been playing in a lower league environment for 1 to 4 years now (with the exception of O’Halloran).

If they do survive their financial and legal trials, which is a big IF, then they may get to play us and they may get one draw out of 4 but, without vast player improvement and the cash to bring that about, they will be hard enough pushed to establish themselves as top 6 never mind challengers.

I have no fear o their footballing ability. I fear more the hunger of my fellow Celts to meet them again.

  24. Tricolored Ribbon

Aiden Nesbitt was loaned out Partick Thistle Monday after scoring twice against the dead team development side.

  25. Anyone thinking the tribute act would give us a game, should consider how they’ve fared against SPFL teams this season.

  26. Tricoloured Ribbon on

    ‘GG,

Oh I am well aware of that buddy.

Should have been on the park at Airdrie today instead of the eternal failures.

    Oh,and he’s not a striker.
