EX-CELT WILSON QUITS AIRDRIE

FORMER Celtic and Dundee United defender Mark Wilson has left the Airdrie manager’s post by mutual consent.

The ex-Scotland international right-back took charge of the League One side last November, but missed out on a play-off place after losing to Alloa.

Wilson had been given the role by Director of Football Gordon Dalziel.

He is expected to resume his career in the media after eight months in the dug-out, although he also wishes to expand his coaching experiences.

Despite being in League One, Airdrie had a full-time first-team squad.
