  1. Ah well, it’s all just fun a suppose :)

There was unlikely spectator among the travelling Celtic fans last night as one supporter brought his goldfish along to the game.

Despite being all the way over in Istanbul, the unnamed supporters had the goldfish in a bag of water and was showing him off to his fellow fans as they watched their team draw 1-1 with Fenerbahce in their final Europa League game:

was probably the most entertaining part of the trip for the Celtic fans given the game didn’t bring many talking points.

Ronny Deila’s men were already out of Europe following the 2-1 defeat to Ajax at Celtic Park last month and were merely playing for pride last night.

And they did come away from Turkey with some, after holding a strong Fenerbahce team by cancelling out Lazar Markovic’s goal with Kris Commons’ equaliser.

But it’s all about the fish for us – let’s all hope he/she makes it all the way back to Scotland safely

    That’s how I see it.

It’s bad enough for ordinary fans watching Celtic’s European performances at the moment, how much more galling and frustrating must it be for him.

Warburton is a stereotypical RFC Manager. Forceful, Arrogant and bullying. Knows the laptop loyal are in his pocket and makes sure he keeps them there. His passive aggressive barbs would be suited to Man Utd. Has all the arrogance of Van Gaal character or the Cardigan

TBH,there are a few posters have said over recent weeks that they wanted a bad result to bring about change.

I doubt I could ever have done that even in the old days.

    Misguided,IMO. But Tims nevertheless.

Me,I’ve said it before. I’m happy to stick with RD,even if only because the alternatives will not be an improvement.

  5. I never want Celtic to lose.

I might complain and stamp my wee feet from time to time.

But I never want to see Celtic get beaten….ever.

    C,mon the Hoops.

Correct, mate. Even if I thought we were guaranteed a doing,I wouldn’t put it on my coupon.

    Nor on my conscience.

(Actually, when I think of how bad my tipping is,I should back against us every week. Champions League winners guaranteed!)

I usually like The Clumpany but I did not think this was one of his better articles. Warburton comes over as a decent fella. It is not his fault that the MSSM elevate him as they do. Also,he should not, as far as I know, be tarred with the sins of Oldco and Newco.

He may not get under your skin at this present moment in time but give him time he will get there trust me, it’s what they do, never drop your guard, I mean look in here even, some guys like Neganon2, who da thunk eh?

The last time I got a decent coupon up, you could get three pints of lager for a quid in the Double J:)

If you look at our Europa League group matches we drew away in Holland we drew away in Turkey now those in my opinion were pretty good results. However, we threw away good leads in the group with some poor individual errors one improvement from Lennies time is we managed to win after our European games.Due to injuries we had to shuffle the team more than we would have wanted. Now we are still in the hunt for three domestic trophies and that is after winning two domestic trophies last season we have lost one game in Scottish football this season. So for me taking an overall view Ronny is doing fine those calling for his head in my opinion are being conned by the view of the MSM who would be delighted to see Ronny go and Celtic to once again be back at the start with a new manager learning the ropes.Ronny is slowly but surely getting to grips with the Celtic job and should be given more time.H.H.

  10. TD67

Yeah….cant get my head round that one.

I don’t care what the circumstances are….I always want Celtic to win.

When we do get beat….it does my head in:)

  11. Chris Sutton…what to say???

He seems to talk a lot about shape and where we go wrong for such a terrible manager.

And makes comments on our players I’ve never heard a single co-commentator make about in all my life.

GE ORDIE MUNRO. What an Admission Oh how you have sinned Im staggered I had you down as one of the Bhoys that when you cut yourself green blood came out.You were one of my CQN heros I just cant believe it. H.H. :- )

  14. Geordie Munro

I often think that those that talk the most have the least to say.

Sutton occassionally falls into that bracket. To be fair, he praises Celtic when things go well, however it is more the manner of his criticism when things go badly that I object to. Anything negative will be pounced upon and the hammering is relentless to the point that it really grates on people.

I don’t think he does that because of SMSM motivations – I just think that is the way he is. I don’t like the way he is, but then he is entitled be any way he wants to be, and I don’t have to listen or take on board what he has to say.

If it was someone who was a more astute manager then I’d be more inclined to listen, but then it is unlikely that an astute manager would be commentating instead of managing :)

Your bang on, the msm hate RD with a passion, same as they hated Lenny, there are loads of Celtic fans who like RD and have the BUT! After they post his name, same as the SMSM done with Lenny, Celtic fans are buying into the SMSM public slaughtering RD, GFS you only have to go back a couple of posts to see some guy wanted Celtic to get HAMMERED,? Wtf is awe that aboot,? Seriously .

  16. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

Bearing in mind that we had zero takers the last time we changed manager – who ( realistically) would want to come that would meet fan expectation?

To be clear I feel we need a change. On the basis of no progress since he took over I am nervous of going forward with Ronnie – although I do like him. He’s a warm guy and would have been a good No2.

    Would anyone take Lenny back?

Would someone like Michael ONeil be acceptable?

    Neil Warnock?

    Alan Stubbs?

    David Moyes!

    John Hughes?

What are we looking for in a manager?

I just threw up in my mouth there …cough, cough :)

  18. It’s funny to real the criticim aimed at former heroes, such as Sutton.

His words are echoed on here often after poor performances.

His demeanour after the Ajax defeat was simply of an aaggressive guy wearing His affection, interest and support firmly on His sleeve.

CULTSBHOY. Fella your living in your own wee world Celtic are not looking for a manager we have a good young manager and thank goodness most hoops fans know that. H.H.

  20. Joe & Tony,

Sorry bhoys:) Well….what I mean is it didn’t break my heart when we lost. The manner in which we did makes me wonder if I was the only one.
