MIKAEL LUSTIG returned to training this morning at Lennoxtown meaning that Celtic manager has a fully fit squad to choose from for tomorrow evening’s Champions League Group Stage match against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Things are a little different for injury hit Monchengladbach, who have now confirmed that Raffael, Thorgan Hazard, Andreas Christiansen and Fabian Johnson are all out and will not feature in the match at Celtic Park.andreas-christensen-522625

CQN was first to reveal that the Brazilian striker Raffael was out of this match and we did that on the day after the Germans lost 2-1 at home to Barcelona, leaving them on zero points having lost 4-0 away to Manchester City in the opening game.

Raffael went off with a hamstring injury early in the second half, with the Germans a goal up at that stage.

Barcelona turned thing around with two goals and things went from bad to worse for Monchengladbach the next day when a scan revealed the extent of the player’s injury.

This effectively ruled him out for at least a month, thus he had NO CHANCE of featuring in tomorrow’s crucial match.

Further injuries to key players such as the highly rated winger Thorn Hazard and defender Andreas Christiansen has certainly added to German woes.

Make no mistake that these three are the key players in the Monchengladbach side and Celtic’s chances have improved substantially as a consequence.

Meanwhile former Celtic skipper Andy Lynch’s autobiography is out this Thursday and there’s still time to take advantage of the great launch offer.
