PADDY ROBERTS has been included in the Manchester City squad that has flown out for pre-season games in America.
The Celtic fans’ favourite, who spent 18 months on loan at Parkhead, now has the opportunity to impress Etihad boss Pep Guardiola.
City will play three glamour friendlies from Thursday to a week on Saturday and the winger is bound to get his opportunity to shine.
Brendan Rodgers was keen to keep the 20-year-old English attacker who made such a massive impact in the second half of the historic treble-winning season.
However, it appears Roberts, who cost £12million from Fulham in July 2015, will come under close scrutiny of his Spanish manager before he finalises his first team squad for the new campaign.
The Hoops will continue to monitor the situation with any move back to Paradise likely to happen at the end of the transfer window.
